Klied stood on the edge of the dock, staring out blankly across the infinite city landscape. His senses were being bombarded from all directions. The incessant chatter of the billions of citizens milling around, the overpowering flashing lights of the holo-boards, and a stench so foul it wrinkled even his nose. And yet none of it was bothering him. He just continued glaring out into the night like an iriaz in the headlights. Someone was trying to talk to him.

"Raxx..." He heard his name said. "Raxx!" A good shove brought him back to reality, the hunter blinking and looking to his right. His party was loading the last of their supplies for the upcoming expedition onto their ship. They'd be heading down to Nal Hutta soon. Another big game hunter like himself was standing beside him with a frustrated expression, dressed far more extravagantly and carrying a blaster rifle that could bring down a bull rancor. "The fumes melting your brain son?" He asked, and gave a hearty laugh. Klied offered a small grin in response.

"Feeling a bit off my game is all." He lied. In truth he had been feeling 'off his game' for the past month and a half. Things had changed, he could tell that much, he was still trying to figure out just what it was though. "I need a drink." The other hunter looked at him with only mild concern.

"Alright... Well just don't take too long yeah? We want to head out within the hour." Klied nodded, and his hunting partner gave him one more quizzical look before turning and walking back to the ship. Klied went in the opposite direction, walking along the strip of establishments that catered to those living by the docks. As expected he drew quite a few bemused glances. He was wearing a jacket of Anooba fur, the grey and black stripes standing out even on a moon like Nar Shaddaa. It wasn't long before he found a promising looking bar, Deskar's Place it was called. Making his way inside the hunter sat down at the very end of the bar, three seats away from the next nearest patron, and called over the Besalisk bartender. Deskar, he presumed.

"Dorian Quill, double." He ordered. The Besalisk chuckled at his choice and poured him a glass.

"Trying to forget a bad night?" The alien asked. Despite the bartender's friendly question Klied kept a neutral expression as he took a sip.

"Trying to forget a few..." He murmured barely audibly in response. He received another curious look from the Besalisk, but then the alien just shrugged his shoulders and left to attend to the other patrons. Klied sighed and slouched in his chair, looking down into his glass. Perhaps getting properly plastered would help alleviate his current condition? He figured it was worth a shot. Or five.

The water turned cold as Aska remained in the shower for longer than she could recall. She had been back on Nar Shadda for about three days now, but try as she might, the young woman couldn't ease her muscles from the strenuous episode she had taken part in. Still, she was awash with pride as she closed her eyes and looked back on everything that had taken place. Kierena had been handed over into custody and the problem hunter Terrik had been rectified. Should she have been concerned at how much joy she felt watching the life leave his eyes? Maybe. She had come a long way since Coruscant and killing no longer bothered her as when she took the life from her first victim, Dur'Agu. The Nikto still was a scar on her past, but she had finally moved passed it. Perhaps her host DNA played a larger role in who she was becoming, but this suited her just fine. As she reached down and shut off the cascade of water, Aska grinned. She was finally beginning to feel like her own person. She was setting herself apart from the people of the galaxy, and decided this called for a drink.

Deskar's was much as it usually was. Sparsely populated, the music faint in the background and barely audible over the buzz of conversation of the patrons. Lowering her hood, Aska began to make her way to her usual seat but quickly noticed that a stranger had decided to make himself at home in her chair.

"Schutta," she muttered as she made her way to a booth. Waiting patiently for the Besalisk to notice her arrival, Aska leaned back in the seat and lit a cigarra before finally meeting her friend's gaze. Deskar flashed his wide and toothy grin before making his way from behind the bar and sauntering over to her with her usual order in hand.

"You're still alive! After Terrik came too, I was a bit concerned you wouldn't be coming back!" Deskar exclaimed with slight laughter, pushing the drink across the table. Grabbing it, Aska took a swig and gently placed it back on the surface.

"Deadeye was a child playing with toys too big for him, Desk. I can't believe you'd think he stood a chance," Aska replied calmly but with a lop sided grin. "Who's the moof milker in my spot?" Deskar glanced over his shoulder to the human male and looked back to her.

"I dunno. Stranger to me, kid. Seems he's had a rough few days from all I could gather," Deskar's expression went serious. "Don't leave another mess for me to clean, alright? You play nice and that drink is on the house," Aska chuckled at the bartender.

"No promises, pal," she replied. "I'm feelin' generous. Get his next round and put it on my tab, will ya?"

Klied had finished his first drink and was about to ask for another when the Besalisk returned and filled him up without being bade to do so. As the hunter shot him a confused look the bartender spoke up.

"Courtesy of one of my regulars. She's feeling generous." He relayed what Aska had told him with a smile, and inclined his head in the direction of her booth.

"Oh?" Klied answered with mild curiosity, turning in his chair to see her sitting across the bar. He squinted for a moment, inspecting the woman before turning back around. "Thank her for me. Tell her I'm not interested in any company." Deskar laughed.

"Don't move too fast kid, it's on account of you taking her seat." He explained. Klied answered the Besalisk's amusement with a small grin. Slowly he reached out and picked up his second glass.

"Well I'd hate to offend." He replied, then stood and made his way over to Aska's booth. "The bartender tells me I'm encroaching on your territory." He said jokingly to the woman as he stood just outside the booth, and raised his glass to her. "My sincerest apologies." He offered with a smirk and a small bow of his head before drinking. There was something about this woman that piqued his interest. Sure, there were plenty of spacers and hard folks on Nar Shaddaa, but he could tell this girl was actually one of the dangerous ones. He wasn't looking for a fight, but talented individuals tended to draw the hunter's attention. Or he tended to draw theirs.

"Name's Klied." He offered politely.

Deskar remained only for a short while, explaining to Aska what had occurred after she had left the bar the week before and how Terrik had sworn he would track her down and 'make her pay for this insult', but how she had managed to deal some damage to his face. Of coourse, this was no surprise to her as the Bounty Hunter had pursued her through-out the entire hunt for the Mirialan girl. After their short exchange, Deskar continued back to the bar to follow through with her request. Remaining at the booth, Aska took a drag off the cigarra in her hand and turned her attention to the display. She mused at the fact that more often than not, Deskar had the pod racing circuit being shown. She didn't mind, however. Finding the races intriguing, Aska often would discuss them with the bartender and had learned a lot since she had arrived on the moon, and very well may have been the basis of their friendship.

As Deskar had poured Klied's drink on her credit and the wild looking man glanced back to her table, Aska's attention remained focused on the display. Noticing one of her most disliked racer's had managed to pull ahead of the pack was more important to her than the lost-in-thought barbarian she had attempted to bribe. As she stewed over the race, she couldn't help but find the silver lining in her only just arriving. Had she shown up to the bar earlier, she may just have laid down a bet against her disliked candidate. Still, she'd have her seat at the bar. It was then that Klied had arrived at the table.

"So, I have to ask," Aska began after he had introduced himself. "Who dresses you?" She leaned back in her seat once again and pulled her cigarra from her mouth long enough to take another draw from her drink. "You look like one of the first people to discover fire,"

"Would you believe me if I told you I was the most famous fashion designer in the Core?" Klied replied to Aska's question with a wry grin before chuckling and sitting down in the opposite side of the booth. Mimicking the woman's posture he leaned back and put his feet up on the table in a relaxed position.

"I'm a survivalist." He answered her question truthfully. "Call me old fashioned. The blasters, the armor, the high tech equipment, it makes things too easy for my liking. When I'm out on safari I like to feel like my life's actually at risk." He paused, his eyes drifting away and his grin disappearing as his thoughts began to plague him again. "Which is becoming less and less the case... frankly..." He shook his head and turned his attention back to Aska, trying to distract himself.

"And what do you do?" He asked. "I've got a good eye for these things and I can tell you're not like the other folks in here. You've gotten your hands dirty... Mercenary?" Klied had worked with some colorful people in the last year. Syndicate scoundrels, assassins, sector rangers, even a Mandalorian. He liked to think he knew experience when he saw it. Maybe some conversation with a fellow traveler would be a better cure for his funk than alcohol. It would be less likely to leave him with a headache in the morning too.

"That would make sense, I suppose," Aska replied to the man's sarcastic response. "The upper echelon of society really do like walking around looking like a circus escapee," Finishing with a small smirk, it slowly faded as the man took it upon himself to take a seat at her table uninvited. 'I guess I have company,' she thought to herself.

Listening to Klied as he explained his profession, Aska began to come around. While Nar Shaddaa has provided her with the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, big game hunter was not a career choice she had been acquainted too as of yet. Reaching ahead of her and bringing the glass to her lips once more, she found herself running out of the burning liquid. Motioning to Deskar for another round while still listening to Klied, she raised four fingers to the Besalisk to indicate she would like four of her usual shots as well. It was then that Klied began to ask her of her own career.

"My hands dirty..." Aska began, plucking another cigarra from her pack as she did so. "I suppose you could say that," Placing the tabacc in her lips, she lit it and pushed her empty glass towards the edge of the table. "I don't know if mercenary is what I'd call what I do, but I suppose it would be accurate. I've been working the docks the last while around this platform but I've got..." Aska paused for a moment. People didn't need to know of who she was or where she came from. That said, her genetic host was technically still the same person. "But I've been working towards following the family career. It's... similar... to what you do," Aska leaned on the table and ashed the cigarra in the empty glass, waiting to see Klied's reaction.

'Similar', somehow Klied doubted that. He was beginning to get a good idea of what Aska might be, but decided not to push too hard. "Hmm, you must be bored out of your mind as well then." The hunter said aloud as he finished his drink and placed the glass upside down on the table. "The natural world is starting to run out of challenges, though it devastates me to say it." Talking about it was beginning to help Klied realize what his problem was. Despite taking every step to put himself in the most dangerous situations he had been coming out relatively unscathed as of late. The only times in recent memory where his life had actually been at risk came from... sentients. The hunter was awkwardly silent as he mulled over that thought and it's implications. Slowly he put his feet down and sat upright, deep in thought.

"Recently I've been accepting more and more contracts... Targeting a different kind of quarry..." He looked her in the eyes, conflicted. "And I've found I like it... I like it a lot." As Deskar arrived with more drinks Klied pulled another shot of Quill towards himself, looking down into the liquid with a troubled expression. "I'm not entirely sure how I should feel about that..." He picked up the glass and slammed the shot back, cringing slightly as it hit him before placing the glass down and looking back at her. He forced a smile again, though it looked empty. "Sorry. I don't believe I caught your name?"

Klied's words began to tell Aska much of what she needed to know about the man. It seemed they had some similarities, though he had a lifetime of experience in the galaxy while she utilized instinct and the lessons from the lab she had received to give her the ability to integrate within society instead of being a socially awkward pariah.

And I've found I like it... I like it a lot,"

Aska's eyebrow lifted slightly at this point. Oh, how she understood that feeling...

"You didn't catch her name because she didn't give it," Deskar interrupted with a laugh before he rested his hand on Klied's shoulder and gave the man a shove. Had the person on the receiving end been of larger stature, it may have been more of a playful nature but the size and power of the Besalisk pushed the man further over than he may have hoped. Still, the Besalisk slid into the booth beside Klied and pulled his own large pitcher of ale from the tray and joined them.

"Table's getting full, Desk," Aska joked as she grabbed her drink and pulled a couple shots towards her. It was tradition, though, that Deskar join her for a few drinks at the end of his shift before he waddled upstairs to his suite for the evening. Turning her attention back to Klied, Aska took her shot and placed it on Deskar's now empty tray. "I'm Aska. And I get it. You need prey that walks on two legs instead of four," Aska lifted her hand and wiggled her thumbs. "And opposable digits too, right?" Deskar chuckled, his giant chin wobbling as he did. Keeping his giant right hands on both his drink and the side of the table, the Besalisk put his upper left arm along the backrest of the booth behind Klied and used his other left hand to slide another shot towards the hunter.

"Ahhh, I see it now," Deskar flashed his wide toothy grin. "You're a man looking for the rush of fighting for his life,"

Deskar's shove practically knocked Klied over, the hunter needing to brace himself against the table as he righted himself. He gave the Besalisk a bewildered look, only to be met with good natured laughter. He offered a sheepish grin in return, a bit taken aback by the bartender's assertive display. Once Aska properly introduced herself he turned his attention back to her and cleared his throat.

"A pleasure." He said with a nod of his head. Both of his new acquaintances seemed to understand his predicament quite clearly. Deskar was quick to state as much out loud. His description was spot on. "My uncle taught me such was the way things ought to be." He answered the Besalisk's observation. "He didn't care much for the civilized world. And I can't say I do either. No offense." He paused to take another drink. "There's an appealing simplicity to life outside developed society. Survival of the fittest. As it turns out, my uncle taught me how to survive a bit too well." He looked down at the table again, worried by his thoughts.

"The hunt is all I have. And the hunting's grown thin." He looked up at Aska. "It's true I've found a new challenge in tracking sentient targets. I've done a few jobs here and there and it's been quite rewarding. I just..." He sighed and hung his head again, slowly rotating his glass. "I don't think my uncle would approve. I don't think that's a life he would have wanted for me." Klied had been thinking more and more of his late uncle recently. When he was still alive Klied had no reservations about the life he lived, no regrets. Now that he had been alone for several years everything seemed to be getting repetitive and pointless. "You say you 'get it'," He said to Aska after a long pause. "You feel the same need?"

Aska listened to Klied as he rambled, slowly picking up the last shot on the table and pouring it past her lips before returning her focus to the newcomer. The question he asked hung in the air for a moment and the woman leaned back in her seat once more to soak in the information she had just been relayed. It seemed to her that, despite their vastly different origins, they were raised to do the same thing in the end.

"The thing is, Klied," Aska said as she motioned to the Twi'lek server who had taken over for Deskar for the remainder of the evening to bring another round. 'She's new...' she thought silently. "I don't think people really get to choose their path. Those first years of someone's life shapes who they are for the remainder, y'know?" Aska thought back to her time on Coruscant, before she was exposed to the galaxy at large. She didn't know it then but she firmly believed now that, regardless of the original intent of her creation, she was meant to be a hunter. She was meant to be her ancestor brought through time to a modern age. Klied seemed no different. "Your uncle raised you to hunt, right? And from the sounds of it, though maybe I'm wrong, you were taught to hunt from a young age. That's what your uncle wanted of you, what he wanted for you to become. But that's the thing," Aska stopped herself. She knew where she was going and the next words were going to sting her own mind. "You are you're own person. You're not your uncle. He raised you to hunt. To kill. Now it's up to you to choose what to do with that," Did she have that choice? She was a literal genetic copy. Half the time, she wasn't sure if the decisions she made were her's or her ancestor's.

"Are you really talking of 'destiny', Aska?" Deskar interrupted as his waitress arrived with the new tray and began to help her stack the empty glasses on the old one for her to remove from their table.

"It wasn't the word I chose, but I suppose you'd be right on the mark," Aska replied curtly. Deskar usually was. The Besalisk let out a hearty chuckle as he handed the shots out between the three of them. Bringing his to his mouth before slamming it to the table, Deskar wiped the dribble from the corner of his mouth with one of his right hands and turned to Klied.

"I've seen much of the galaxy, boy. I've met hunters like yourself. I've met bounty hunters like Aska here is trying to be," Deskar's expression went cold and serious. "I've met, and tangled with I should add, cold blooded killers. Destiny had nothing to do with how those 'men' turned out. Maybe I'm wrong, though I don't think I am, but is it the morality of the hunt that worries you? That killing a sentient being makes you a monster?" Deskar stopped for a moment but didn't give Klieg the chance to respond. "You're no monster, boy. You have honor. I can see it in your eyes. So long as you treat your target with honor, whether that be sentient or beast, you'd be honoring your uncle's memory in turn,"

What Aska was implying unsettled Klied a great deal. Independence was something of great importance to him. He had been taught that a man wasn't truly free unless he could survive without the help of anyone else. He was confident in his abilities to survive wherever the galaxy dropped him, but Aska's little speech opened a whole new existential line of thought. Was he actually free? Or was he just acting as he was conditioned to act? It didn't sit right with him at all. As much could be read on his face, brow furrowed and eyes fixed squarely on the table in thought.

As opposed to wants and destiny, Deskar spoke more about honor and morality. Honor wasn't something Klied felt particularly strongly about either way. He didn't believe in rules of combat, being polite to your opponent and other such nonsense. Any fight was one for survival as far as he was concerned, and like an animal he'd do whatever he needed to survive. And morality? He had never thought too much about it. The galaxy didn't strike him as a particularly moral place. It was part of why he tried so hard to keep out of civilized space. So why was it he got hung up on the thought of killing sentients, even those that probably deserved it, as opposed to any other animal? Perhaps that was just something that his uncle had drilled into him, one last bit if civilization he couldn't shake. Or perhaps it was just his primal instincts, herd mentality telling him not to kill fellow thinking creatures. It annoyed him that he couldn't tell.

"So you are a bounty hunter." Klied finally said, not addressing the more heavy thoughts swarming his mind. "That's what I suspected. I worked with one of your kind before. A Mandalorian." He had nearly died with that Mandalorian too. The memory brought a grin to his face. "We had a few very entertaining adventures." He took another shot, downed it in one go and grunted before wiping his lips. He paused again, considering. Finally he looked back at the woman. "There's a guild for your type right? Do you think you could introduce me to them? I'd like to see what they have to offer me." It seemed somewhat impulsive to the hunter to ask such a thing, especially when he had places to be. Damn his mates, they'd live.

Aska scoffed slightly, but her mouth formed a sarcastic grin. For the first time since Klied had joined the table, he seemed excited about something.

"My dude, I'm not a member of the guild. At least, not yet," Aska grabbed her shot and lifted it but continued speaking before taking it. "From my understanding, they come to you. They've got eyes everywhere. They know who to reach out too," Finally pouring the liquid back, she slammed the glass against the table. "Damn, that's good!"

"Don't be coy, kid," Deskar stated plainly before turning his attention to Klied. "Like I said, I've seen a lot of the galaxy and I've met a lot of people," Motioning for the man to come closer with one of his left hands, Deskar leaned in slightly. "It's not so easy as an introduction... But, if you can collect a bounty that has a certain degree of... difficulty, then I might know who to speak too," Leaning back and away from Klied, Deskar wrapped his giant hand on his now half full pint. "But unless you do that, I can't help you. I'm sure there are plenty of 'talent scouts' out there but they won't even give you a second glance unless you prove yourself,"

Klied smirked at Deskar's explanation. "Sounds easy enough." He replied confidently. "No doubt there are postings for bounties all over this planet. Just need to find one that sticks out..." Nar Shaddaa was filled to the brim with criminal types that would have prices on their heads, enough so that Klied could search for a mark with a discerning eye. It wouldn't do for him to go after some common thief or bail jumper. He wanted a challenge. But... He also felt it somewhat important to make sure it was someone who had it coming. He had no intention of becoming a lap dog for some crime lord. He looked back to Aska. She may still be new to the field as well, but she seemed quite savvy to the world.

"Where'd you get your first mark?" He asked. Hopefully she'd be able to point him in the right direction to start.

Aska chuckled as Klied made his inquiry. Pulling another cigarra from her pack, she placed the paper cylinder in her lip, tossed one to Deskar and then motioned to Klied to help himself as she laid the pack on the table. As she lit the tabacc, the young woman smirked as she watched the giant Besalisk fumble with the cigarra in his enormous fingers. She always found some amusement in her friend's struggle with simple tasks she never had to give a second thought about accomplishing for herself. Taking a drag and blowing the smoke upwards, out of the faces of her company, she turned her attention back to Klied.

"Well, it's kind of a funny story," Aska responded with a smirk, knowing it was a story she was going to enjoy telling for the foreseeable future. "I was sitting at my spot at the bar and this nerf herder approached me, tried to pick me up, right?" Taking another drag, she then ashed the cigarra into the empty shot glass. "He was cocky. He didn't know me. He didn't know what I've been raised to do," Stopping for a moment, Aska reeled slightly. Even Deskar didn't know anything about where she came from or what her life was like. Deciding to be more careful of her choice of words, she continued. "He thought a woman couldn't do what he did, which was bounty hunting. He had just accomplished his own initiation and was about to embark on his second hunt," Aska had slowly began to lean forward slightly on the table and as her bangs began to shield her view of the two men opposite her, she shot Klied a serious stare but partnered it with a playful smirk. "I took his mark and eventually his life after he tried to collect the bounty from me," Deskar let out his usual hearty chuckle as Aska recited the experience, reliving it for himself with her words.

"Terrik isn't going to be missed, trust me," the Besalisk stated to Klied.

"For you, however, I'd start with the Security Offices in this quadrant. There is no lack of syndicate and gang activity in the docks. Hell, I'm sure a few of the freighter captain's that I've met recently have prices on their heads. Real seedy dudes. Some are even still here," For the first time since she arrived, Aska felt the alcohol taking hold. She needed some action herself. "I do know of another bar a few levels below and I'm pretty sure it's owned by a small time pirate operation. I've unloaded a fair amount of slaves from one of their ships and they usually take them to the Rampaged Rancor," Aska reached out and slid the pint from ahead of Deskar before picking it up and taking a swig of it for herself. Winking at Deskar as she pushed it back, she turned her attention to Klied once again. "Let's go for a walk. I'll show you, if you'd like?"

((No worries dude lol it happens))

As Aska offered a cigarra Klied raised a hand and politely shook his head, uninterested. Instead he leaned forward in his seat, listening closely to the woman's story. He took notice how she shied away from elaborating on her past, but didn't attempt to press her on it. As the bounty hunter offered to go for a walk, something Klied recognized as almost certainly being destined to entangle them with the aforementioned pirates, he could only grin deviously in response.

Wordlessly he turned to Deskar and nodded to the Besalisk, indicating that he wanted to get up. The bartender moved aside and Klied got to his feet, standing beside Aska. "Sounds like a good time." He agreed to her offer, adjusting his jacket. Before they could go anywhere though Klied's hunting partner burst into the bar, looking around furiously before storming towards him.

"Raxx!" The large man thundered. "Where the hell have you been? I said within the hour!" The man got up in his face, but Klied just raised his hands and smiled innocently.

"Lighten up Hopp," He replied coolly. "There's been a change in plans. I gotta cancel."

"Cancel?" Hopp shouted, his face turning red as a beet. "We've been planning this trip for a month! You're my best tracker!" Without missing a beat Klied reached into his pocket and pulled out a fistful of credits, it looked like enough to buy a starship, and tossed them to the enraged hunter.

"I got you covered." He replied diplomatically. "There's a Trandoshan I know down on Nal Hutta, name's Kurssk. He'll be your tracker, just tell him I sent you." Hopp paused. He looked down at the credits in his hand, then to Aska. He gave the woman a suspicious look before turning back to Klied again and sticking a finger in his face.

"I don't like last minute changes to my plans. Don't pull this again son." Without waiting for a reply he spit rather rudely on the floor beside Klied's feet before turning and exiting the bar. Klied sighed before turning back to Aska and Deskar.

"Sorry about that unpleasantness." He said, more directed at Deskar for the spit on his floor. He paid the Besalisk for the drinks. A more lighthearted demeanor quickly returned as he looked at Aska. "Let's get out of here shall we?"

"Don't pull this again?" Aska laughed after Klied's acquaintance as he left the bar in a huff. "After what you just pulled, you're lucky Desk isn't pulling your arms clear off, schutta!" As Aska stood to assert herself, the Besalisk reached across the table in one fell swoop and pushed her back down into her seat.

"Please, not tonight," Deskar said sternly. It wasn't very often that the brute interfered with Aska and her tendency to find trouble but now that he had, she decided he was right. This wasn't worth her time.

"Let's get out of here, shall we?" Nodding, Aska stood once more, albeit in a much calmer manner.

"If you two are planning on heading to the Rancor, be careful. That place is a nightmare," Deskar warned as he collected Klied's credits and motioned to the Twi'lek server to bring him a rag.

"Nothing the two of us can't handle, Desk!" Aska bragged. The alcohol had taken hold and she found herself raring for a fight... Not waiting for the Besalisk's reply, Aska began towards the door and out into the street.

((Sorry about the wait, dude. Between a wisdom tooth getting yanked and the hot weather during work, I've been a puddle the last few days))

Klied nodded to Deskar before turning to leave the bar alongside Aska. "I'd like to grab my rifle before we head into certain death if it's all the same to you." He told the bounty hunter with a grin. "Shouldn't take but a minute."

The walk back to Hopp's ship was a short one. Aside from the expedition's leader none of the other hunters seemed too angry about Klied's sudden pulling out of the journey. Some were annoyed sure, most just shook his hand and offered wishes of good luck in whatever his plans were. Klied returned the kind words. Men that kept to the same hobbies he did normally didn't survive very long, so he tried to keep his friends where he could.

Klied never carried many weapons with him, he usually didn't need to. Aside from the large hunting knife he always carried on his belt, although the blade may have been considered a sword by some of the smaller species in the galaxy, the only other weapon he carried was a cycler rifle. Slugthrowers were frowned upon in most parts of the galaxy these days, that being if they weren't outright illegal, but Uncle Odo had always preferred them over blasters and Klied felt the same way. Slugthrowers were stealthier weapons, harder to spot after being fired. But more importantly they were rugged, reliable. A cycler rifle kept in good condition would last a century or more. The current model Klied carried with him he had taken to Tatooine, to Orto Plutonia, to just about every environmental extreme. It had never jammed on him or suffered some other malfunction once.

Slinging the rifle over his shoulder he returned to Aska and gestured for her to lead the way. The alcohol had taken him out of it a bit, but he was in high spirits. He was feeling like he could take on just about anyone in the galaxy in that moment.

(No worries)

With Klied in tow, Aska began to casually prance the platform towards the Rampaged Rancor. It was a bar she had only been to a handful of times, and only after rather rowdy nights that had found their beginning at Deskar's. It was essentially an inevitability that violence would break out in the slum bar, and more likely than not it would happen numerous times. And she was ready.

"You ever been to Nar Shaddaa, Klied?" Aska queried as she pulled another cigarra from her pack, taking a mental note that she was down to half. She had paused long enough for Klied to reply but wasn't exactly sure of what words he had chosen. Her mind was focused on ensuring tonight was going to be fun. "I've only been here a few months myself. Originally from Coruscant, but there is something about this moon... It's like... I don't know," Aska was rambling. 'The kriffin' Fiach rubbed off on me,' she thought to herself but still continued on talking. "It has such a life to it that Coruscant doesn't. It's grimy. It's filthy. Anything you could ever want, it's here,"

The duo walked for some time, and Aska found herself rambling on and on about the moon but was careful to not reveal too many details of how she had gotten here or what it was that brought her. While she felt an unreasonable amount of trust with her new companion, her instinct took over and she knew that perhaps it was best to keep some details to herself, despite the alcohol unlocking her passiveness. Finally coming to a stop at a carbon scored door, Aska laughed as it slid open and a Rodian was thrown out and into the street. As the alien grumbled, picking himself up and dusting himself off before running back in, Aska turned to Klied.

"Here we are," She was quickly interrupted by blaster fire and the Rodian was tossed back out to the street, but life no longer remained within him. Wincing with one eye and smirking as the sound of blaster fire subsided, she continued. "Shall we?"

Klied grinned to himself as he walked alongside the bounty hunter. The alcohol seemed to have put quite the spring in her step. It was amusing to see after her slightly more measured behavior back at Deskar's. "A few times." He answered simply to Aska's question. He had rarely wandered farther than the spaceport when on the Smuggler's Moon. Although he kept such comments to himself, he didn't much agree with Aska's feelings on the place. Coruscant or Nar Shaddaa, both worlds were less than appealing to the hunter. Too cramped, too artificial. He just didn't see the life in places like these, although his companion seemed to have a much different perspective.

He noticed she was still keeping her walls firmly up as to her origins, not that he minded much. It was her business, and he saw no reason to pry. They were trying to have fun after all. His train of thought was interrupted by a rodian patron being thrown out of the bar before running back inside, leaving Aska to inform Klied that this was indeed their destination. Not a moment later there was blaster fire, and the lifeless body of the rodian was tossed back out. It didn't seem to phase Aska all that much, the bounty hunter turning to him and asking, "Shall we?" Klied gave her a quizzical look, a bit put off by the murder that had just transpired.

"Ladies first?" He said a bit uneasily, cracking a small grin and gesturing to the door. He would like to be sure he wasn't going to be shot the moment he walked inside.

Aska didn't waste any time as she continued into the bar before her senses were assaulted by the terrible fragrance that was The Rancor. It was extremely busy, a common occurrence for the establishment, and the music was deafeningly loud. Feeling the bass of the speakers in her chest, almost making breathing a struggle, she laughed to herself. The night life was what she lived for and while Deskar's was able to provide her with the ability to unwind from a long day, she could truly allow herself to let go of anything that haunted her during the more 'productive' hours of her time.

"Mingle with the people here," Aska shouted to Klied over the music while watching the dancing crowd as the strobe lights bathed the people in their luminescence. "Like I said, anything you could ever need can be found on Nar Shaddaa. Weapons, chems, mercenaries or in your case... Information," Turning to face Klied, she gave him a quick shot to his shoulder. "Just... Be careful, yea? I'll head to the bar and grab myself another drink but I'll try and keep an eye on you if things start getting wild,"
