Xakaia had always found the white-blue streaks of hyperspace beautiful, ever since she was a child. A familiar beeping on unfamiliar controls warned her of the impending emergence into subspace. With a groan and a gasped breath, the Ubese nomad deactivated the alarm. Pain shot through her abdomen at the movement. Hand clutched at her bandaged side, Xakaia patiently awaited the navicomputer's countdown. Pain once more lanced through her, and she gritted her teeth as she pulled the lever to drop out of hyperspace as the countdown hit zero.

The stretched stars that had flung past the viewport of the stolen pirate ship shrunk to pinpoints in a sea of black. The gas giant planet Ajara hung suspended before her. Another hissed breath as she steered the ship towards one of its moons, the jungle moon of Ajan Kloss. Supposedly this moon was where the Jedi called home. Xakaia wasn't sure if she could ever call any one place home.

Alarms rang on the control board in front of her, signalling that one of the remaining pirates aboard were trying to break through the weak encryption she had managed to place on the engineering bay controls from the locked down cockpit. Kriffing scum, why can't they all just die already. Searching the controls, she found what she was looking for. With the flick of a switch, she cut life support to the ship. Suffocate worms. Xakaia had enough air to last her the descent, and then some. With luck, the pirates would all be dead by the time she landed.

Opening a communication line to the planet below, Xakaia hoped the damned jedi below could hear her. "Jedi. I am… a Jedi. I am injured." Her raspy whisper carrying over the space to the planet below where the Jedi would hopefully pick up the open transmission. It was almost physically painful to call herself one of those monsters below, unbidden memories of her parent's accusatory cries as they turned on her rising in her mind. "I seek landing. And… medical… treatment." Eyelids fluttering under her helmet, Xakaia pulled her hand away from the bandaged wound. Her gloves had spots of blood on them.

A hardly working ship was in an open channel asking for help. This was either someone that was extremely desperate, or this was a trap. Riz'kacha got dressed in her armor and she stepped out of her room, opening her own holocommunicator on the same channel. Knowing a landing pad that was decently out of the way, she spoke up, "This is Jedi Riz'kacha. I read you. Proceed to landing pad Three-Bee. There should be no other ships there at the moment, and a team will respond to collect you."

She was already on the move. Whatever the case was, this situation needed to be dealt with. If the ship was rigged to explode, at worst they'd be out of a landing pad. If it wasn't, it was close enough to get the person to medical attention before they expired, assuming they weren't already fatally wounded. Double checking the bronzium hilt that lay connected to her belt, the Apprentice nodded her head and adjusted her lekku to be in front of her once more. Stepping out of the temple, she made visual contact with the freighter. It wasn't doing too hot. "Freighter, I have visual contact. I will meet you on the landing pad, over."

Hal was at a workbench nearby, making some modifications to his 4EY-Scout Droid, when he received the open transmission over his commlink. After a moment of contemplation, he furrowed his brow and locked eyes with his droid, who chirped at him in binary. "I agree Em-One," Hal replied, brushing a gloved hand over the droid's head affectionately, "Something isn't right here. Let's go check it out." Em-One chirped a brief acknowledgement before clambering up to his perch on Hal's shoulder. As an extra precaution, the Knight fastened his lightsaber to his belt, just in case his suspicions held any merit.

Another Jedi had already responded to the scene by the time Hal got there, a Twi'lek Padawan who he hadn't met before. He nodded a brief hello to her as approached the ship, falling in stride with her as he did so. "That ship's seen better days." he remarked dryly as he looked it over for any telltale signs of damage. "I've got stimpacks on me, so I'll go in and take care of the passenger. One of us should look around the ship, see if there's anything amiss... But be careful. Something about this doesn't feel right to me."

Xakaia was surprised to receive a response so quickly, though her skin crawled under her survival armor at the voice that carried over the comlink. Tracking the comlink, Xakaia could only guess which landing pad was Three-bee with no homing signal as she began her approach. A wave of weakness fell over her, apparent to those below by the semi erratic flight pattern of the aging freighter as she tried to keep it steady while on her landing approach. Behind her, she could hear hammering on the locked cabin door as the pirates slammed at the door in panic.

"Confirmed." Xakaia rasped in response to the woman's voice that came over the comline as she brought the freighter down. The ship's landing struts hissed as they extended, the freighter groaning as its weight settled down on them. Sighing in relief as both the ship settled to the ground, and the banging behind her ceased, she finally allowed the tension to leave her shoulders for a moment.

A very short moment, as her ease was short lived and unwarranted. Replacing the banging was the sizzling of melting durasteel as a pirate began to cut through the cabin door behind her with a fusion cutter. Karking pirates. Just die already! The mental scream of frustration echoing inside her head as she drew her blaster and prepared to fight for her life once more. Hammering the console with the butt of her pistol, the ship's main boarding ramp began to lower outside, its bay opening to allow the Jedi entrance to the ship. Maybe the Jedi will help. The thought flickered through her mind, filled with doubt as she took cover behind the pilot's chair. She knew she wouldn't.

Outside, the boarding ramp lowered. After a few moments the bay door began to open, a gasping Weequay pirate stumbling out and tumbling down the ramp amidst a cloud of wretched stale air. Coughing and choking on the ground, he was unable to notice the two jedi waiting, too preoccupied with trying to breath again. Through the door were two bodies slumped against the entrance, suffocated by the lack of oxygen aboard the ship.

As Hal joined her, the Twi'lek nodded, looking to him, "That makes sense to me. I will sweep the lower decks to make sure there are no hostiles aboard." Riz'kacha watched the ship set itself down with fascination, her hand resting on the hilt of her saber. More than anything, she was just curious to see how this whole thing would turn out. As the docking ramp lowered and the pirate came tumbling out, the padawan exchanged a look between Hal before she moved forward, "...Pirates, judging by their armor. We should maintain cautiousness."

At that, the woman approached the choking man and gave him a look, before sending her fist towards him to rend him unconscious. She didn't plan on killing anyone if she didn't have to, but that didn't mean she had to be their friends either. Assuming the man was dealt with, she ignited her golden lightsaber with a telltale hiss, and began to advance further into the ship. She held it with both hands, and reached out with the force to see if there were any especially strong emotions ringing out that she could latch onto. She still wasn't the best at this sort of thing, to be honest, but practice made perfect.

Hal's hand likewise remained on his belt as the duo cautiously approached the ship. As the boarding ramp descended and the bodies came tumbling out, he instinctively activated his lightsaber, its cobalt blade producing a thick, bass-heavy hum. He held the hilt at his side, with the point of the blade angled down towards the floor, and began to make his way into the ship. Hal took a glance over his shoulder at the sound of Riz's fist connecting with the man's face, and couldn't help but give an impressed grin at her ingenuity. The Padawan had showed wisdom by not underestimated her enemy, and restraint by not merely resorting to killing him. Those were the markings of a true Jedi.

The pirates - he agreed that these men were indeed pirates - seemed to have choked from lack of oxygen rather than from some foreign toxin. Hal's free hand brushed up against his rebreather, but the Knight eventually thought against it (oxygen would've since re-entered the cabin through the open ramp), instead bringing both hands up to his lightsaber to form a defensive grip held diagonally across his body. His blue blade acted as a light amidst the dimmer portions of the ship, and aided him as he made his way towards the cockpit of the ship. Hopefully whatever pirates had been onboard previously had suffocated by this point.

As Hal passed his way through the ship, he encountered a closed door separating him from the front half of the ship. "Kriffin' door's locked..." he muttered after testing the door controls. He contemplated merely slicing open the door's control panel - no amount of encryption could protect against a plasma blade - but once again erred on the side of caution. Instead, Em-One clambered over towards a nearby panel, and used his scomp link to try and access the ship's controls. While his droid accessed the door, Hal took a moment to reach out through the Force, seeing if there were any life forms onboard the ship... particularly any with hostile intent.

Regardless of what he sensed, Hal leapt through the doorway the moment it opened and ran towards the cockpit. Whether he encountered a group of pirates or a group of corpses, he was ready for anything.

Xakaia kept her eyes glued to the cabin door as the plasma cutter's arc carved out a glowing red square in the material. Truth be told, Xakaia was getting inpatient, and she almost felt relief as the last corner connected. Of course that meant that things were about to get interesting. Finger gently applying pressure on the blaster's trigger, the nomad waited impatiently as the blazing bluewhite hot arc disappeared. Not a moment later, the durasteel square was pushed through.

It was then that all hell broke loose. Finishing her trigger pull and following it up with another, a pair of ruby red bolts sizzled through the chest of the breaching pirate, his lifeless body collapsing to the ground. Ducking behind the pilots chair, return fire sizzled against the chair and the control board behind her. The control monitor sparked and spewed smoke. Instantly the lights throughout the ship were cut out as the power failed. Peeking up over the pilots seat, Xakaia attempted to snap another shot at the pair of pirates clambering through the opening, her shot going wild through the hallway behind the pirates.

The first pirate however was already through the opening. The distance was too short for Xakaia to fire again before the blaster was smacked from her hand with the edge of a vibro-ax. Hissing in frustration and pain as the tip of the axe grazed her hand, drawing blood, Xakaia fell back behind the chair with her vibroblade in hand. Ducking the pirates follow up slash, Xakaia rushed the distance between them, trying to negate the reach advantage the pirate had over her.

Outside the cabin, the second and last pirate ducked back behind cover as the blaster bolt nearly scorched him. In the darkness, the glow of a cobalt saber blade was impossible to ignore. "Jedi!" The Weequay bellowed as he turned and brought his blaster to bear, triggering a pair of shots at the Jedi's center of mass.

Down in the lower decks, another pair of pirates struggled with the engineering bay door controls as they tried to break through the stowaways encryption. Passing a breath mask between the two of them, they were unaware of what was going on in the fore of the ship.

"Kriffing Ubese, why couldn't it have been an easy smuggler or some drone sh-" The pirate was cut off as his fellow smacked him across the back of the head. "Quiet!" The second hissed as he drew his blaster, "I heard blaster fire." A vibro-ax was produced by the first just as the lights cut out. "I got a bad feeling about this.

Hal only saw a blur of motion in the darkness, but instinctively raised his lightsaber before the blaster could discharge. The first bolt caught him by surprise - with a flick of his wrist, Hal deflected the blast into a nearby bulkhead. He was ready for the second shot. Within the limited confines of the hallway, Hal rotated his forearm to 'swing' at the incoming blaster bolt, sending it directly at the pirate's blaster and disarming him. Not hesitating for a moment, the Jedi consolidated the Force within himself and released it with a vicious telekinetic push, slamming the Weequay into the bulkhead hard enough to render him unconscious.

Lightsaber drawn, Hal leapt over the two bodies and rushed into the cockpit module. He saw a small target (possibly a Ubese?) attempting to close the distance on a pirate wielding a vibro-ax. Even though he was a skilled duelist, Hal couldn't risk swinging his lightsaber without potentially hitting Xakaia, but there was no guarantee that she could close the distance while wounded. He had to take a gambit.

"Hey!" Hal yelled out, feinting a swing towards the Weequay's upper body. With any luck, the pirate would be distracted by him and raise their ax to counter the blow, giving Xakaia an opening to strike. If his plan went awry... well, he'd have to improvise.

Things were getting heated. The Padawan could tell by the blaster shots echoing throughout the entire ship. She needed to double time it. Her steps got faster as she hurriedly made her way through the below decks of the ship, her lightsaber raised high to provide her light. Not that she couldn't see in the dark if she used the force, but she always felt that the mundane solution came first. The force was a helper to provide the means for a Jedi to do the extraordinary.

She cleared through several rooms before the ship's power was inextricably cut, leaving her hand hovering over the access terminal that led to the engineering bay. For posterity's sake, she tapped the button just to be sure it didn't work, and a dull click echoed through the corpse-strewn halls. Nothing. Still, the padawan needed to get this done. What if there was a bomb or something else down here? Her lightsaber got itself stabbed into the door with the groan of heaving metal, the golden hue of her saber burning its way through the door. It'd take a while, but she would have to cut her way through. She just hoped that she wasn't too late.

Shortly after her blade had started cutting open the door, though, there was a ping of danger that struck Riz'kacha from the shadows of the bay. She wasn't alone. She had initially thought that she had cleared the room entirely, but clearly she had missed something in her haste to get deeper. She quickly sheathed her blade, letting it come back out from the door, and just as quickly let it spur back to life as she let her connection to the force take over. Something was coming... There! A blaster shot rang out, which was quickly deflected away with a swipe of the whirring blade. The padawan spoke up, adopting a balanced stance, "Those that are hiding down here, I recommend you come out! I do not want to resort to force, and fighting a Jedi is outside your capabilities." With any luck, they would listen to reason, but knowing pirates, there was a fat chance of that.

Even as she began to close, Xakaia knew she wasn't fast enough. The blaster wound in her side ached fiercely, her core muscles flexing around it as she launched herself at the pirate. She knew she would get him, there was no way he could stop the buzzing vibroblade in her hand as it plunged upwards towards his solar plexus. But likewise there was no way she could stop the return swing of his axe as he brought it back around to take a slice at her dome.

At least until a man, no, a Jedi, plunged into the cabin, lightsaber ablaze. Distracted by the new threat, the pirate's axe clipped the top of Xakaia's helmet, gouging it but otherwise leaving her unharmed. The pirate was not as lucky however, and he collapsed to the ground as Xakaia's bloodied blade slid from his chest.

Reeling from the concussive blow of the pirate's axe, Xakaia swayed for a moment as she regained her balance. Eyeing the Jedi once she recovered her bearings, she watched his glowing saber with care, her own short blade still in hand. "Jedi." She croaked, her raspy voice strained. Before she could say anything more however, the world seemed to spin and her eyes fluttered once more behind her helmet.

The vibroblade slipped from Xakaia's grip as her knee's threatened to give out. She steadied herself against the chair behind her, her wounded hand clutched against her blaster wound. "I need… I've been shot." The hoarse whisper reflecting the pain she felt as another wave of dizziness washed over her.

Below deck, the pair of pirates were quickly losing their nerve. A failed raid, their ship hijacked. Life-support cut and now a Jedi, today clearly wasn't their day. "A Jedi? What's a Jedi doin here?" Nervousness clear in the voice that called from the shadows. "What's assurances you can give that we won't be killed?"

Hal's gambit had paid off. The swing went wide, glancing against the girl's helmet. As her blade plunged into the pirate's chest, Hal felt a momentary twinge of regret that he couldn't have spared her from committing the act, but he realized that the outcome would've been the same had it been his saber rather than her knife. For all their preachings of peace, even Jedi had to take lives sometimes if it meant saving innocent ones.

Of course, her life hadn't been saved yet.

The girl's knees buckled, and Hal for the first time noticed the gaping blaster wound smoldering at her side. Hal deactivated his saber and rushed over towards her, using one of his hands to ease her into the chair as he assessed her wounds. "Hey-hey-hey, I need you to stay with me now." Hal said as reassuringly as possible, though he couldn't help a tinge of urgency from slipping into his voice. "I need a stim Em-One." The droid perched on his shoulder launched a stimpack out of his main apparatus, which Hal caught with his outstretched hand. The Knight quickly looked for an opening in her armor where he could inject a stim, and found one relatively close to the wound. The stim would help to kickstart healing, but it wasn't enough to heal an injury of this magnitude on its own.

It was time to improvise.

Hal couldn't Force Heal. He knew how it worked in theory, but in application he'd never been able to pull it off... at least, without aid. Instead, the Knight placed his hand on the wound and closed his eyes. He reached out through the Force, probing the wound with his mind, feeling first the damaged tissue and dead cells, but also the healing solution of the stim. Hal focused on the latter. In his mind's eye, he saw the tissue rebuild itself, interlinking connections that had been severed by the blast. The stim was a catalyst for her body to heal itself, and by using that as a foundation, he was able to augment her body's own healing response. It was an act of pure instinct, fueled by intuition and more than a little bit of desperation.

The entire process took a minute, at most but by the time Hal was finished the Knight was drained. He staggered backwards and wiped the sweat from his brow. Em-One beeped and whirred in concern, but after a brief moment of recovery Hal waved to the droid that he was alright. He'd be just fine... but would the girl? Hal disguised the fact that his head was spinning as best he could as he walked over to observe his handiwork. The wound had been sealed, and healed almost entirely to boot. There'd be a small scar in the epicenter, but all things considered, it was a small price to pay for survival.

"I did it Em-One..." Hal breathed out in relief. The droid responded with a burst of chirping in binary. "Yeah yeah yeah, we did it. Whatever." Hal amended, shooting his partner a dirty glare. With his situation under control, he opened up a private channel on his wrist-mounted comms and contacted Riz, who was still downstairs. "Everything's under control up here Padawan, how's it going down there?"

Luckily, the pirates seemed content not to fight her. That suited Riz'kacha just fine. She hadn't wanted to fight them anyways, frankly. Still, she felt that she had to exert her authority over these people so that they would get the message. Pirates weren't usually the most accommodating folk, after all. Her lightsaber continued to illuminate the darkness, framing her in a golden hue as she spoke, "...The question should be why are you here? Your ship is currently on a Jedi-controlled landing pad. I am simply here to investigate a distress call that came on an open channel."

She paused, thinking of how to address the other question. How could she guarantee safety? Should she lead with what Jedi teachings taught her, or try to be more practical? She supposed that a practical approach would be best, considering the recent events involving Oren and the Jedi representation that had been going around. She'd have to be careful, at the very least. "I am going to be frank. I cannot speak for my colleagues, but personally I do not take any pleasure in violence. I wish to prove this to you by turning off my lightsaber and escorting you out of here. If anyone attempts to intercept us, I can step in." She paused, "However, that does not mean that I will not retaliate if you attempt to attack. Jedi are trained extensively in defense first and foremost."

Then her comms lit up, prompting the Padawan to lift up her non-dominant arm towards her face, "I have encountered a couple pirates. I am attempting to peacefully negotiate with them to prevent violence. Otherwise, I have not seen much of note down here. Everything thus far can wait for a more extensive incursion or a report." She responded, finally sheathing her blade with a high pitched zip as she finished. Whether or not things would remain peaceful was up to the pirates.

Xakaiax's world whirled as she felt consciousness begin to slip from her, the effort of remaining on her feet simply too much for her injured and combat weakened frame. A pair of arms grabbed hold of her as a voice urged her to stay awake. She willed her eyes to open, despite her body's insistence that they should stay shut. Her mind observed independent of her will as a sharp jab signalled the introduction of the healing stim to her system, a futile measure she quickly realized as the gravitas of the situation dawned on her.

"Wha-" The protest started to form in her throat as the human laid his hands on the open wound. Had she the strength she would have tried to push him away, or perhaps lunged for her weapon to punish the alien for daring to touch her. Instead her arms made a weak attempt to rise before collapsing back to where they lay. Helpless, she watched the violation happen with disgust while she waited to die.

But fate had something else in store for Xakaia. The pain of her wound slowly began to fade as her flesh crept its way back together under the Jedi's hand. Her body remained weak, but she no longer felt as if death was beckoning for her. Xakaia felt an equal mix of revulsion and admiration as she watched the Jedi stagger away from her, his magic clearly leaving him weakened for the moment.

Even more exhausted than the Jedi, Xakaia sat still, observing the man through her mask as he approached her once more, his eyes on the once charred and now scarred skin, exposed for all the world. ”Thank… you.” The words felt like acid burning her tongue as she forced them through her lips. Despite her disgust at the alien’s proximity, he had saved Xakaia’s life not once but twice in the span of moment. A few words were the least she could offer him in gratitude.

Down in the hold, silence would greet the Jedi for a moment after she turned off her lightsaber, the pair of pirates weighing their options. ”Jedi planet? How the kriff did we get… That damned Ubese rat.” The voice coming from the darkness behind the padawan. ”Shut it Gorno, i’m negotiatin’. Will we get to keep our ship?” The first pirate’s mind a swirl of greed as he pictured himself the new captain of the vessel.

”Yeah, what about the ship? And maybe some sort of compensation for our hardship. That Ubese Jedi did a number on my crew.” Pirate number two clearly thinking the same thing as his fellow, with their fortunes reversed.

”You’re crew! Why i’ll- ahem. Sorry mistress Jedi.... so about the ship?” The first pirates outrage at his fellow evident in his voice. Either way, he had already survived a crazed Ubese, asphyxiation, and now death by plasma blade. So far things were looking up in his book.

Beep... beep... beep.... mmmwhirrrrrrrrr

BD-9's photoreceptor lit up and he turned to survey the empty room. Where did Riz'kacha go? The little droid pulled himself free from the charging socket and hopped down to the floor. It wasn't as though the two had agreed to always be by each other's side, but BD-9's programming pushed him and demanded that he make sure that Riz'kacha is fine. So, it did not take much effort to get BD-9 scurrying over to the door.

"Oh!" A protocol droid happened to be standing on the other side.

// Have you seen Riz'kacha? // BD-9 beeped at it.

"Miss Riz'kacha? Why yes, she was heading towards Landing Pad 11," the protocol droid replied.

// 'Kay. Thanks. Bye! // BD-9 beeped again, then sped off.

"What?" the droid watched as BD-9 disappeared as quickly as it came. It shook its head and walked off. Better things to do than to speculate.

Once BD-9 arrived at landing pad 11, he could see an unknown character laying at the base of the ship's loading ramp. He sprinted closer to investigate. The Weequay groaned, feeling around for what looks like... his blaster.

Beedee quickly raised a limb, extending a spark projector, and gave the alien a good shock of electricity. The Weequay stiffened for a few seconds as the energy cascaded through his body, then slumped back down, again unconscious.

The droid looked around. Riz'kacha was nowhere in sight, meaning she's probably aboard that ship. BD-9 continued his journey up the ramp and stopped short of entering the hatch to peek around the corner.

Two bodies laid inside, dressed similarly to the Weequay outside. BD-9 ran a quick diagnosis of their vitals. They were mostly dead, but not completely. However, helping them was not the little droid's concern.

He ventured into the ship with the full intention of searching for his Twi'lek companion but the sound of voices made BD-9 scamper to a corner where the shadows of the room concealed his silhouette instead. From there, Beedee poked his head around to locate the sound's source. Beedee could see the off-worlders further down and Riz'kacha mixed up with them. It seemed like Riz'kacha needed a little help after all.

BD-9 turned down his extra light sources and crept from shadow to shadow, sneaking up on the pirate that boxed Riz'kacha in. With a well timed leap, BD-9 went right at the back of the big guy's knee with his spark projector, whistling loudly to create a distraction for his companion.

Hal deliberated for a few moments, his blue eyes glancing around the room while he considered his next move. His eyes lingered on the Ubese girl as she whispered a faint "Thank... you." from her seat. The words fell slowly from beneath her helmet, and Hal could sense the underlying strain beneath it. He nodded his head towards her in acknowledgement before reverting his gaze to the blinking commlink. "I'll come down and give you a hand with that." Hal responded. The Knight walked over towards the open doorway, making sure to step over the limp bodies of the pirates as he did so, but not before he took one last glance at Xakaia. The girl wasn't gonna run off anywhere, right? Hal shrugged to himself and continued on his path downstairs, lightsaber activated.

From the padawan's tone, it seemed like she had the situation under control, but Hal couldn't help but feel anxious about the situation. Pirates were notoriously fickle creatures who wouldn't think twice about killing teenagers if the situation turned in their favor, especially if said teens were Jedi. As much as he respected Riz's choice to pursue non-violent options, sometimes the violent option was the safest one. Karabast, Hal could almost hear Master Stark admonishing him from the afterlife for harboring such thoughts. Maybe if his mentor had been faster to draw his saber he'd still be alive, and Hal would've never been sold into slavery. Hal rolled his eyes - it wasn't good to dwell on such thoughts.

Hal entered the room silently, arriving just in time to overhear the pirates' deliberation. The hum and glow of his saber gave his presence away before he made himself physically visible, and when he entered the room he kept the blade lowered to his side. The message was clear: he wasn't looking for violence, but unlike Riz, he had no compunctions against resorting to it. "You're pushing your luck sleemo." Hal said as he emerged from the shadows. "Drop your weapons, kick 'em to the side, and nobody gets hurt."

So much for the peaceful approach. Hearing the electric shock and the whistle from behind, the Twi'lek whirled around and once more let her blade spring to life. Then came the other Jedi, who seemed uncaring about the negotiations that she was already working on. She looked to the unoccupied pirate's direction, calling out to him, "As he said, put your weapons down. I do not wish to fight, but if it comes to it, I will. It is now three versus two, and you are outclassed and outgunned."

She quickly made her way over to where the familiar whistling had come from, keeping her wits about her and half-expecting the telltale pang of danger to assail her senses. She was waiting for things to go south, and hoping that no more lives would be lost this day.

Xakaia watched silently from behind her visor as the Jedi accepted her gratitude with a nod. She was torn between her hatred for the alien and the Jedi, and the fact that he had saved her life. Left alone in the dark with nothing but her weakness and her thoughts, the Ubese warrior felt horribly naked slumped in the chair, injured and unarmed. With a groan, she used her one good arm to push herself up, testing her strength. Satisfied that she could sit, Xakaia flicked a switch on her helmet, activating her helmets low light vision mode.

Scanning the room, Xakaia spotted the body of the pirate she had stabbed. Sweat broke out across her brow as she gained her footing, her body still weak even with her injury healed. With great care, she managed to crouch down and tug the blaster from the pirates belt with her uninjured left hand, flicking off the weapons safety as she considered her options. She was armed now, though in no condition for a fight. Slumping back into the chair, there was little she could do except wait for the Jedi to return, blaster at the ready just in case.

Down in the hold, the pirates quickly realized that the situation had turned too far against their favor for any sort of negotiation to be had. Eyeing the new Jedi with caution, the blaster toting pirate realized that things had gone from bad to worse. ”Alright, alright.” Surender in the Weequay’s voice as he lowered his blaster, dropping it to the floor and sliding it away with his foot, hands raised. ”At least tell me if i can keep my shi-””AAAAIIIIIIEEEEEEE!” a pained screech interrupted the first pirate as the axe-wielding pirate dropped his axe, clutching the back of his knee as he staggered forwards and face planted on the ground. Looking at his downed companion, the first pirate’s shoulders sagged in defeat. ”I guess you got us Jedi.”

Beedee is quite pleased with himself. He hopped onto the writhing form of the formerly blaster toting Weequay, whistling a victory jingle and striking a momentary pose before turning expectantly towards the Twi'lek Jedi.

// It appears this unit arrived just in time! // he happily beeped.

The droid looked around to acknowledge the others present, excluding the remaining defeated pirate. The droid did not know the other Jedi, so it did not think much of him at the moment. However, the 4-EY droid's presence gave Beedee a sense of camaraderie, but the difference in their versions of Binary, with Beedee's being much older, meant that there is some incompatibility in their communication.

Beedee hopped off the pained pirate and turned his attention back to Riz'kacha.

// This unit is curious where this ship has been before arriving here. The ship's logs may provide useful information for future ventures. // Beedee warbled.

Riz'kacha approached the helpful little droid quickly after the surrender of the pirates, her lightsaber once more zipping closed as she got close. Once she got to him and the pirate, she kicked the vibro-ax away, before speaking in return to it, "Good job, BD. I appreciate you coming to help." Her gaze shifted to the other Jedi and his droid, giving him a slight smile, "I assume you can handle these two? I will call in a medical team to retrieve the person who called in the distress call. If possible, I would like to go with my droid to collect the ship's navigation logs."

Were the two successful, they might be able to find out in more detail where these criminals operated. With that information, there were a myriad of people they might be able to save. Plus, given the recent developments with the sector rangers, they might be able to give it to them as a sign of good faith. There were plenty of the lawmen that would be willing to follow up on the information, most likely.
