I think the analysis of this film appearing more Firefly and Star Trek-like is spot-on. I feel like Star Wars' identity was very much distorted in this film - as I mentioned in my previous post, there were just so many breaks with paradigms in technology, the Force, and characterization...
@Jake and @Caine, I join you in what seems to be the minority of disappointed fans.
^This. You hit it on the nail for me.
Very tired but still feeling the raw, very mixed emotions from the film and want to add my 2 cents. I saw the movie 2 hours away from me and used the drive to really reflect...
Also updated for the time-skip.
Lord did I know grammar two years ago? Please excuse anything I haven't been able to get to fix yet. Judging by the state of things, it seems like Tre will be getting the most action as an Indie pilot who has plenty of skill, a penchant for adventure, and a...
Updated to (hopefully) fit the progression of the timeline. Will edit as I learn more, and will begin lurking for potential RPs to throw this old soldier into.
12/27/14: Leaving him as an indie merc for now who has taken note of Mando survivors throwing in with the Rebellion, but is unsure of...
"That's right. And if smuggler's tales are to be taken into account, even with the smallest amount of salt, there will plenty of shooting for you to do," Tre said quite grimly, as he melted into his seat to enjoy the brief respite.
After a minute of rest, his body tensed up into combat mode...
Kor took the proffered cloak in hand, looking it over with scrutiny before hesitantly slipping it over his form.
Listening to her instructions, he nodded simply as he formulated a mental checklist for himself.
When she left, Kor bowed lower and returned her words in a low tone, before turning...
Neph lost himself for a moment in the feeling of the kiss, and in those seconds, he felt that he could kiss her forever...
Time seemed to stretch into years, and he felt like a lifetime had past when their lips finally separated. He opened his eyes to stare into hers, full with emotion. His...
No worries man - Real life takes precedence ALWAYS and well all have lives...we're all dedicated so I'm fully confident this thread WILL be completed :)
"Perfectly fine. It's a good thing you advised me to strap myself in; I owe you thanks, Master," Kor said in his usual graceful diction, surveying her with intelligent eyes. It seemed that she was a bit spun about, and Kor was about to offer some assistance with the Force when he felt her begin...
Kor couldn't even bring himself to look at the instruments displaying their speed - it was still much to high. They would run out of mountain face...
Out of nowhere, the ship lurched itself at an angle with nose upwards, in a landing process of older times. There were a few surprisingly calm...
Kor quicly had to turn to the Force to enhance the abilities of his muscles. Calling upon it's power, he was able to center his mind and keep himself calm amidst the chaos around him. He saw the way. His arms held the controls in a rock-solid grip, barely wavering despite heavy resistance...
Kor had actually been pretty calm at first.
That didn't last long.
He wondered if he was getting too complacent, just because he felt "at peace" with the Force. At any rate, he was definitely feeling terror as the ship began to speed up and jink and roll uncontrollably, all while an orange...
Tre tuned out the background noise around him, acknowledging only that the engines were as good as they were going to get. They hadn't failed him before, and if they did now - well, he wouldn't be around long enough to regret it, would he?
Pushing them up to within a hair of overload, which...
Neph could see that his attacks had fallen short.
It barely fazed him. His elevated heart rate, which was at Olympian speeds now, only meant faster distribution of the drug through his system. And it had reached its pinnacle.
The Mandalorian's head seemed to be buzzing, and every extension...
