I said the same thing in my head after seeing the movie

except the "many bothans died to bring us this information" line was from Return of the Jedi and was referring to the second Death Star. Definitely still a species, imo

@Darasuum yup, @Evelyn Yara is right. Bothans are a species, they stole the Death Star 2 plans not the First Death Star's plans.
