If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.
~William Blake
"Half a league, half a league, half a league onward, all in the Valley of Death rode the six hundred. 'Forward, the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns!' he said: Into the Valley of Death rode the six hundred." - Alfred Tennyson, my other favorite poet.
Nietzsche is amazing! Totally misunderstood because his sister and her husband took over his works after he had a mental breakdown and edited them to reflect German Nationalist views, which he had no fondness for, so he was viewed negatively by many for quite some time, but he is a bueno dude! :) Annnnnd that's one of my middle names, yes. Haha. "God is dead! And we have killed him!"
And back to Nietzsche the irony of his life, particularly his final years makes me wonder what could have been. I dare say perhaps we'd have a Pascal of the philosophy (if that makes sense).
Well, Blaise Pascal was a philosopher of sorts. Pretty much any thinker before the early-1800s was a philosopher to a degree, as science wasn't really a separate branch of academic study until then. But, I most certainly get what you are saying! Haha. ;) Sorry, I am a bit of gods be damned nerd. :D And wait, how am I William 2.0? William is my middle name haha.
