As soon the man had finished his drink, Trodai made his approach. He looked to Roman and inquired as to if they had a meeting and who it was he was with. Someone of some importance he imagined, or very loose lipped. But he had seen many drinks loosen such lips.

Drink was if anything a truth drug to some.

"So what progress has been made?"

Roman soon explained that a meeting had been arranged and that Isaac beside him, a sergeant at arms in Governor Peltro's household guard. Ambitious but how ambitious was the question. Perhaps he could be of future use. Another spy they could use. Trodai considered it as he followed and the two were lead to the estate. Although searched, Trodai was meticulous, hiding the lightsaber well enough to pass inspection. Soon they were lead to the main hall where the Governor had been informed of the two guests.

He sent for them immediately. The slave revolt was a topic of importance. Fillo Peltro was a young human, but well dressed and stubborn. Perhaps overly ambitious in some ways and wouldn't be easy to crack. Luckily the long term gains were beneficial to all.

"I hear you two are to thank for that mess down near the mine. That you stopped the revolt, I have reviewed the evidence you gave and am satisfied. You have my thanks, but yet I am curious why help me? What is the price for it?"

Trodai spoke "Nothing...at least just yet. What we wish you discuss is for your ears along. If you could empty the hall I shall explain our reasons."

a nod was given and it was soon cleared with the doors shut leaving just the three.

"Now we are alone, care to explain? Why the secrecy? Who are you?"

Trodai offered a smirk, turning to Roman and speaking "Show him what we are."

He referred to showing a brief display of their abilities. Allowing Roman to be the one to show they were a Sith. As he did, Trodai spoke "You see before you no simple beings. You see Sith. We know your ambitions Fillo, what you seek most. You seek to rule the house and beyond. We can provide the chance under certain arrangements."

He allowed him to digest the information before continuing "Help us influence the other houses and support us as we make our way across the Senex-Juvex sector, aid and support the Order through the noble houses using your family influence and aid our endeavours and we will remove any obstacles in your own ascent. You would be allowed to rule in our stead with some autonomy but answer to us ultimately. But a condition is you keep the existence of who we really are a secret. Call us specialist advisers or something. In return you will gain all the power, influence and credits you will ever need. We will inevitably take the area anyways so why not be on the favoured side and get all you wanted. I warn you though there is no going back on this deal and it is in your interest to agree."

Fillo considered, mulling it over a while before giving an answer "It is much to consider. But you have already proven useful once. Yes, I think we can find a arrangement that suit both our needs."

Trodai smiled as he spoke "Excellent. I will need one more thing of you...a sign of your commitment. And a reminder should you think to renege on our deal. You can either do it willing or not. " He turned to Roman "Mark his skin, but nothing easily seen, brand him with fire and iron. I don't care if by force or willingly. it's up to him. It will serve as a reminder of who he serves and the price should he decide to have a second guess. A hidden mark."

Trodai seemed pleased enough with Roman's progress and he followed the Champion and the pawn Isaac to the Governor's estate. It was a big, plush place for a minor lord, but the two guards on the main door were well out of practice. Roman managed to slip his saber and a few necessaries past them and they were eventually taken through to see the man himself.

When Roman first saw Fillo he almost threw the Pureblood a disbelieving look. While the sergeant Isaac had been cute, Fillo was steaming. The young Governor had a dark, sultry look about him and a jaw that could have been carved from the stone of the mine. Were all the men of the Sennex region this good looking?

Roman hung back while the Champion saw to the pleasantries, surveying the room for anything or anyone who might trip them up at the final hurdle. But soon enough Trodai had the chamber cleared, and called Roman forward into the spotlight.

"We're you're new best friends" the acolyte joked, smiling not entirely insincerely at the wide-eyed Fillo. Roman flicked his lighter, igniting a flame which he manipulated with the Force, letting it surge and contract, leaping in a gout of orange fire from one palm to the other. He threw it suddenly into a stone pillar, satisfied it wouldn't catch but making the Governor jump all the same.

It was only a warm up for his saber. The crimson blade was iconic across the galaxy and Roman ignited his with a low chuckle, swinging and weaving it through the air, not with any finesse but with a chaotic eagerness. He let it stray just close enough to Fillo's chin to remind him he was in their power, before shutting it off and standing silent.

Trodai did some weaving of his own, his words seeming to hit all the right buttons for Fillo. The Governor folded easily, perhaps not that smart for all his looks, agreeing without a price.

Roman almost licked his lips at the opportunity to brand the pampered prat. It was a perfect end to their day of violence and raw power; him, a former slave and a one-time nobody, forcibly making a mark on an entitled noble's perfect skin. Maybe he would draw one of the weird symbols from his dreams, just for fun.

"Don't even think of running, Governor" he said, stepping towards the man "Keep still and it'll be over quick".

To his surprise, Fillo gulped but stood his ground and held his gaze. There was a new determination in his dark eyes, and something else as he spoke.

"I bet you've said that before". The Governor kept staring him down, even as he partly disrobed and indicated his left breast. Roman almost felt a little embarrassed, before he shunted the feeling aside. All the same he found it a little hard to concentrate as he drew a series of entwined circles on Fillo's chest with a flaming finger, to the sound of his muffled screams and under Trodai's watchful eye.

By the end of it, they had their man, and by extension his world.

Trodai kept watch as Roman applied some kind of runes. Although it wasn't exactly what he had in mind it served the same purpose so he was satisfied, yet he didn't miss the looks between the two men. Something that could prove useful in the future as they progressed.

Trodai admired the noble as he disrobed, very much liking what he saw. But business was paramount.

And so he had an idea. He turned to them both.

"Excellent, then we have terms. I think as your first action for us, use your influence. Gather others in your family like-minded and open to suggestion. Naive even. Create for us a cabal of followers among your house and influence and infiltrate the other houses while we are absent." he continued " It will make it easier to take the others with inside help."

He turned to Roman briefly bringing him away for a moment so they could speak privately, whispering "I saw how he looked at you, and you at him. Use that connection, influence him. Help him make this cabal ready when you find time. The cabal will be a additional set of eyes and ears. You up to the challenge." he queried.

Roman was pleased with his work, even if it was a little rushed. He was not entirely sure what the shape he had drawn meant, if it meant anything at all. It was one of several he saw in his dreams. It felt strangely good to draw it for real though, and on the subdued Fillo of all people.

He listened carefully to Trodai's words. As before, the Pureblood appeared pleased, but Roman wondered at the Champion's true thoughts. Perhaps when they finally got away from here he would have time to probe his superior.

"It's nothing, just a fleeting-" Roman began, reddening at Trodai's mention of he and Fillo's chemistry. He had been prepared to bury it as unexpected and irrelevant. But then the Pureblood told him to use it. "I suppose I could..." he said quietly, glancing surreptitiously at the Governor still cradling his new wound. "I'll make sure he turns every member of his family to our advantage". He did not know just how hard it would be yet, but in truth he was eager to find out.

Roman glanced around at their palatial surroundings, reflecting on how far they had come in a day. "A huge success for you surely" he said "for us. I hope I have been some help". He flicked a glance back towards Fillo, who was gathering himself. "If you like, I'll get started right away. Cement our hold here before our new ally gets cold feet".

Trodai chuckled a little at the comment, as Roman attempted to deny what he had seen. And his face changed colour, it was almost adorable. Afterall he was a attractive man, and his personality was a joy. Trodai couldn't help but have his own slight attraction. Not after what they had been through and done together. The teasing and the serious side.

They were in many ways alike.

Trodai nodded approvingly as Roman said he would further explore the connection to this noble before them. It would serve their purpose well, and allow them to entrench themselves deeper into the world and the sector as a whole. Soon and the dominoes would tumble. He smiled at the success of the first hurdle. He was certain Tempest would be pleased.

For they had gained a first foothold for the Sith. But he knew it was not over yet, they had just begun.

"Yes indeed. And for you, we both gain favour with what we have accomplished here. But it's not over yet, we have barely begun. Now we must tackle the other houses."

He considered the words "Yes, you may begin as you wish and see our influence grow into a tree. Your master will be proud of you, like I am."

He allowed Roman to continue to talk, leaving them to it. For hours and hours, until they eventually had to leave. The planet was theirs but now they needed to keep it as they continued on the path they had started. As the sector was cast in a small shadow that would hopefully fester and grow.
