The Sith Kingdom of Avillion

"Every Avillion's home is his Castle!" - Artorigas Wessex, King of Avillion

History

The Sith Kingdom of Avillion was founded by the Sith Lord Darth Caelestis (Artorigas Wessex) after his acquisition of the ancient Sith Redoubt of Exegol and subsequent rise with the backing of the Sith Councillors Darth Stolas and Darth Andruil. Avillion was formed as a bastion and Western Front for the Sith Order in its fight against The Jedi and New Republic. The vast shipyards and factories beneath the planets surface along with the vast array of resources left over from the Battle of Exegol over a century before turning the once desolate planet into a industrial powerhouse.

Although the Sith Kingdom's internal home is around Exegol both Darth Caelestis along with members of the Dark Council believe that the planet should be kept secret to the outside world as much as possible. As such Namadii, became the Kingdom's de-facto capital. Unlike some of his contemporaries and many of the past Sith the Kingdom of Avillion has expanded more though diplomatic than military means.

Structure

The Kingdom of Avillion ruling body is comprised of The King of Avillion and a council of Privy Lords. The Privy Lords are a selection of high ranking individuals within the Kingdom who either directly represent a planet/sector who are elected by their population or Head of State or one of the major officers of state who are appointed by Artorigas Wessex himself. Although the King of Avillion has supreme power and authority on all matters he often takes advice and counsel from the Privy Council with regards to larger items in the Kingdom. He allows the elected Privy Lords independence when running their own planets/sectors.

Avillion Royal Forces

Birthed from the great forges of Exegol, the Avillion Royal Forces are the armed forces of the King of Avillion. Led by the King and the Privy Lords, the Avillion Royal Forces' (ARF) primary task is patrolling, protecting and defending all assets of the Sith Kingdom be they land, sea, air or space, from both external and internal threats.

The ARF is split into main divisions, the Avillion Royal Navy and the Avillion Royal Guard.

Conscription and Make up

The Avillion Royal Forces are primarily a robotic force with a small amount of dedicated and elite organic members. The basis of the ARF's primary robotic resources comes from the small population base of the Kingdom in comparison to its industrial output, allowing Kingdom of Avillion to easily produce umpteenth times the number of mechanical soldiers to organic even if harsh conscription laws were ever introduced.

In terms of the two divisions of the ARF the Royal Navy is approximately ninety five percent mechanical to five percent organic. The later of consisting of primarily flag, specialist officers and those who volunteer in select organic units. However the Royal Guard is a hundred percent Organic division. Prospective recruits for the Royal Navy attend the Avillion Royal Naval College on Namadii, which runs both basic and advance courses for officers as well as rank and file training courses for normal recruits. Those looking to join the Royal Guard must first complete the rank and file training course on Namadii before being taken off world to complete their training.

Unlike many other galactic militaries the Avillion Royal Forces does not split up space and ground combat between two separate interties like a Navy and Army preferring for a combined force which can seamlessly go from space to ground combat without having to work through different chains of command. As such the Avillion Royal Navies mandate is to protect and defend all Land, Sea, Air and Space within the Kingdom of Avillion as well as project the Kingdoms power wherever it is needed in the galaxy.

Avillion uses the mantra of previous regimes such as the First Order and Galactic Empire, using powerful Star Destroyers like the Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer and Onager-Class Star Destroyer to intimidate their enemies and disloyal subjects. Although these powerful ships are the backbone of the navy like much of the Sith Empires space fleet the ships are not as plentful as required, however the Kingdom's access to Exegol's shipyards means that the Kingdom can easily replace any lost ships at shorter notice than the Eastern holds.

Although the fleet does use some older models of ships, it is quickly phasing these out and passing them across to the expanding Eastern and Southern parts of the Sith Empire. Replacing these with the newer, Nesuto-Class Combat Carrier, Pugio-Class Frigate and Raider-III Class Corvette. These newer tougher ships allow the fleet to hold out against some of the older but more numerous fleets of the surrounding systems with ease.

The overall command of the Royal Navy ultimately lies with the King, however the real commander is the Lord High Admiral Sir Avalhorn. His word is law once you have set foot upon the durasteel floor of a starship or ground base. Stationed at Namadii, he is in command of the Royal Fleet, the largest concentration of military force in the Western reaches of the empire. His commands are passed down to the Fleet Admirals who lead the fleets stationed at other Avillion worlds.

The exception being Exegol's who own fleet is commanded by the High Lord of Exegol and answers directly to the King of Avillion.

The Avillion Royal Guard is a unique detachment within the Kingdom's forces, made entirely of organic members. Led by the Lord Commander these men and women are at the sole command of the King of Avillion and serve him personally wherever he travels both within and outside the Kingdom's boundaries. They number around a thousand individuals with about eight hundred in active service at one time. The others either injured, training or on leave. Fitted with blood red armour they stand out amongst the rank and file soldiers of the larger Royal Navy. The Royal Guard are split into eight individual units called Centums consisting of a hundred men, each led by a captain. Seven of these are identical to each other and serve similar roles throughout the Kingdom, usually revolving around high valued and difficult assignments.

The final Centum, is called the Deumortis Centum, this is the most elite and prestigious post within the Avillion Royal Forces as these men and women guard the King at all times as well as follow him personally into battle. Their captain the is the most skilled and powerful solider within the units ranks, the Deumortis Captain is a trained Force User but not a true Sith. Unlike the other members of the Royal Guard these men were customised Red Armour with a flat faced helmet and cape.

Entrance

The Kingdom of Avillion is an official sub-sect of the Sith Order, concentrated on expanding Sith interests in the Western reaches of the Empire, via both diplomatic as well as military means. Entrance to the Kingdom is open to all members of the Sith Order however if the characters wishes to hold a the position of Privy Lord then they would need to be approved by Darth Caelestis. (This does not mean we have to do a thread beforehand, but characters who are at odds with the Sith Lord would not be permitted to that rank.)
