Well it seemed that whilst perhaps keeping a low profile might have been a wiser plan the last time she had visited the Black Spire outpost on Batuu, still at least despite the trouble that she and Curse had inadvertently found themselves in the centre of, they were able to diffuse the situation and make amends with the locals. Perhaps that was a good thing, seeming as something a little bit more material was bringing her back to her home world. Sitting back in her pilot seat as the Rim Hopper's engines cooled down in the landing bay she had been told to dock at, The fiery haired spacer turned her pendant around in her hand eyes narrowing as she read the inscription on the back. "Till the dawns light touches the dark spire" Eisa murmured to herself in thought as she rolled the scratched metal in her fingers for a moment before reaching down to her lap to pick up the cyan hued gem that had been removed from the pendant.

Setting her kyber crystal back into the pendant, the spacer pursed her lips in thought as she rested her head back against the head rest of her seat as she stared out of the view port, her emerald gaze directed towards the towering stone like structures that reached out from the ground that surrounded the settlement. Her thoughts wandering over the history of the pendant that she had once thought was something of a parting gift or token given to her as a babe before she was handed over to the Jedi order, her thoughts that it was just coincidence that the pendant had formed clasp that could hold her Kyber crystal, then again it was seldom the case that the fiery haired spacer ever gave anything a serious thought - often the one to live life in the moment rather than spend her time reflecting.

It was only by happen stance that she had overheard some fellow spacers in a cantina on Ogem commenting on the strangeness of a parting farewell often uttered by the Batuuan residents 'Till the Spire' that the moment of clarity over the obscure inscription was referencing. The message and the strangely jagged shape of the lower protrusions of the pendant, clearly meant something. But the question of course that was wracking her brain was what? She couldn't be sure if was just the way for her to find her home, or something that her Parents wanted her to one day find when she returned to her homeworld.

The only thing that she was sure of, was that she was going to need a hand, and perhaps a sounder mind that was capable of taking a moment to think things through rationally, rather than diving head first into a blind adventure. She needed a Jedi mind, yeah she was trained to be a Jedi herself, but as it was already gathered most of the teachings fell on deaf ears when it came to Eisa. Such was the case that she put a call out to Kori to bring some assistance and a more contemplative minds to the table.

"Right Come on lets make a move" Eisa called out as she rose up from her seat, before making her way towards to rear of the ship down to the boarding ramp, pausing momentarily as she looked at one of the hidden hatches. Her lips pausing in thought as something was telling her that she would need to take the article that was hidden on pf the concealed storage compartments. Unlocking the hatch with a wave of her hand a slight use of the force to release the rudimentary latch that was concealed in the metal compartment - a grin crossing her features as she opened and inspected Curse's handy work at fabricating the compartment for a brief moment before lifting her lightsaber hilt out of its hiding place - before closing the hatch and continuing to make her way back towards the boarding ramp of the Rim Hopper, tucking the hilt away into one of the bags that was hung from her holster belt.

Curse was more then a little nervous to return to Batuu after what had happened last time, but it was Eisa's ship. They went where she wanted them to go. At least on the bright side her Zeltron friend would be there as well. Maybe that would mean another opportunity to get to know BD-9 a bit better.

Hearing her master's call the little Pistoeka would scurry out of her room and towards the spacer, stopping to watch from around the corner as she retrieved a device from a special compartment she had requested Curse build earlier. The buzz droid's photoreceptors immediately focused in on the cylindrical tool with interest. If that was what she thought it was, it would be an even better target then the Mandalorian's Beskar.

//What's that?// She twittered out abruptly as she scurried up to Eisa, hopping onto the spacer's leg and trying to get at the bag beside her holster. //Is that your lightsaber? What type of metal is it made of? Why do you never use it? Is it defective? I could repair it for you!// Her little pincers grasped desperately at the bag as she tried to peak inside. Of course, she couldn't repair something without taking it apart first...

Despite many years of wandering Minerva had never come to Batuu until now. It wasn’t out of a lack of desire, but more like constantly busy with mercenary work in the Outer Rim. Of course she heard some stories about the place like it being boarding Wild Space.

Reassembling her blaster rifle inside the auxiliary fighter attached to the Rim Hopper, Minerva shook her head at the situation. I know Red is an ex-Jedi and all but I’m not sure about getting involved with this mess. Not to mention she brought an official one onboard With us. Sitting crossed leg style the merc scratched the back of her brown hair.

Despite the reluctance to dive into a force related job Minerva sighed and shrugged her shoulders. Well it won’t be boring at least. Who knows maybe there are some skulls that I can bust while Red, Pest and Pinky deal with the Jedi crap. Hearing Eisa’s call, the Mandalorian finished fixing the rifle and put on her helmet and walked out from the auxiliary fighter.

Reaching the ramp, Minerva rolled her eyes at the sight of Curse begging Eisa to let her mess with the lightsaber. Like a Hutt with his snacks, never enough. Inspecting her rifle once more she asked. “Where is Jedi Pinky?”

Nykoria wasn't sure she was the right fit for the mission. Sure, she was probably the closest friend in the Order that Eisa had. But judging by the job description, someone else would be more fitting. Like Max Tionson, Fiach Dubh, Oren Zapan, or Izel Thral. Yeah, Izel in particular. But apparently, Firehair had a disagreement or two with everyone's favorite Vratix. So, when Eisa had approached Nykoria of all people, the Zeltron Jedi agreed to go with her. One extra reason for that was that Batuu seemed to draw Sith activity, like Ontotho or Coruscant. A perfect opportunity to kill two mynocks with one shot.

Kori had spent the trip in the Cargo hold: 40% meditating, 20% mingling with the Rim Hopper's unlikely mix of a crew, 30% sleeping, and 10% fending off Curse before the Pistoeka could mess with Kori's stuff. The Zeltron hadn't had too much time for meditation ever since she left Ajan Kloss with the other Guardians. So, in a way, she was catching up. The sessions also allowed Kori to vent properly after being called "Pinky". The nickname coined by Minerva was diminutive, sure; but it sounder less friendly and much more condescending than Eisa's "Purps". Nykoria didn't let the Mando know that, for as a Jedi, she was surely above such petty things... Well, or was supposed to be. Another reason for more meditations.

This time the meditation was interrupted by a familiar jolt of the ship leaving hyperspace. In the last year, Nykoria had been flying a lot more, so she was getting used to it. Awareness of what was going on outside the ship helped her suit up in advance. This time, she'd choose her armor instead of the casual outfit. Batuu wasn't the most dangerous of places, but it did attract the Sith and bandits. So it would help if Eisa was accompanied by two Mandalorian lookalikes. Except that one of them has a cape and more style.

"Lead the way, Eisa," the Zeltron finally emerged from the cargo hold, lightsaber hilts on her hips and stun pistol with ascension attachment in the holster. It was nice to have someone else calling the shots for a change. Especially if the interests aligned.

A coy grin crossed the spacers features as Curse scrambled over to her, seemingly catching sight of the Spacer tucking the hilt of her lightsaber into her pouch before proceeding to barrage her with questions about what it was, its composition whether it was broken. Rolling her eyes a little as she eased the droid away from picking at her bag, to try and coax the buzz droid to her usual perch. "Yep, that's my lightsaber in there" Eisa spoke as her hand moved back to her bag, to retrieve the hilt. "made of Phrik mostly, think there was some Beskar on it can't really remember.... Here" The Spacer continued before handing the clearly aged and visibly neglected hilt over to Curse to inspect, figuring that most likely safer in the long run satisfying the buzz droids curiosity rather than risk Curse tear the ship apart trying to find wherever Eisa would attempt to hide it next - besides it's not as if Curse could cause any damage, the kyber Crystal that was key to it functioning had been removed.

Soon after, the fiery haired spacer was joined by, Minerva and the Kori, and the onerous was put onto her to lead the way. Well that was perhaps where things might soon fall flat on thier face, as truthfully Eisa hadn't a clue as to where they were going. "Well I guess we head towards the spire clusters off to the south of the outpost" Eisa spoke out, with a light shrug. "Only thing I've got to go by is dawns light touching the Darkest spire" she continued, with a tentative expression crossing her features. "so I guess we look for and head towards the darkest spire that we can find" she reasoned, before ensuring that everyone was off the ship before locking it down and securing it.

Once the ship was secured, Eisa turned to the rest of the group and lead the way in the vague direction of where the spire clusters where scraping the Distant skyline. "Though behonest with ya all, ain't got a clue what we're gonna find, if anything." Eisa spoke before starting to fish out her pendant out from under her top, and the pulling it over her head before dragging her near thigh length pony tail though the neck chord." Just seemed that the pendants shape and the inscription held something of more importance and a deeper meaning than some corny sounding proverb " she added whilst offering the pendant to either the Mandalorian or the Jedi to inspect, smiling a little as she mused on the fact that both of the respective cultures held a profane reverence for iconography and symbology - something that perhaps between Minerva and Kori, they might be able to see something in the pendant that didn't even register with the Spacer.

Curse clambered onto Eisa's arm as it was offered, but kept her photoreceptors laser focused on the lightsaber as the spacer pulled it out of her bag. The moment her master brought it within grabbing distance the little Pistoeka snatched it from her grasp like a hungry Cannok. The rest of Eisa's speech fell on deaf audio sensors as Curse immediately focused all her attention on the sacred Jedi tool, turning it over in her pincers and inspecting the device closely.

Phrik eh? An extremely durable material, one of the few resistant to lightsaber blades themselves. So there was little risk of Curse damaging it irreparably. As Eisa started moving Curse began carefully taking the lightsaber apart. Despite her usual method being wanton destruction, those that had seen her at work knew she was capable of a remarkably fine touch. And this was certainly a piece of machinery that demanded a higher level of respect. If for no other reason then if she simply destroyed it now Eisa would likely never let her touch it again. In fact she'd probably scrap her.

So Curse, this time, delicately went about her work. Slowly unscrewing and taking apart each piece and taking her time analyzing each of the internal components to understand how the weapon worked. After taking some time to learn what she could about it the buzz droid turned her gaze back towards the ex-Jedi. //It's missing a central component.// She observed aloud. Although having no knowledge as to what made a lightsaber she had no idea what that component was.

Inside her helmet Minerva rolled both eyes at the sight of Kori’s outfit. If the Jedi had actually trying to pretend to be a Mandalorian there would be trouble. “Good to see you finished your dress up.” She remarked in a tone laced with sarcasm.

Suddenly the warrior heard what Eisa said about how her old lightsaber was made of. Twisting her head toward Eisa’s direction and asked in surprise. “Where did you get Beskar to do that?” Such material was rare even among the sons and daughters of Mandalore now.

A chuckle escaped her, realizing the irony of Besakr being partly used to craft a lightsaber. Fortunately Eisa wasn’t a Jedi anymore or else it would complicate things. “Word of advice Red, don't let other Mandalorians know that if you ever run into them. They won’t be as understanding as I am.”

Once the captain more or less told them their destination, Minerva shrugged as well. Better than nothing she concluded. Exiting the ship the merc was then handed the pedant by Eisa for examination. A curious thing the warrior admitted to herself.

Its symbols certainly meant some kind of significance. But it wasn’t Mandalorian design so Minvera wasn’t sure what it was. Subsequently she passed the pedant to Kori.

Despite the bucket on her head concealing her face and expression, Minerva didn't really try to hide her attitude and snark. There was definitely more left unsaid, as the Zeltron could sense the reaction evoked in the Mandalorian by her own gear. She hadn't made the hazard suit look the way it did to annoy Minerva; but it was a nice bonus nonetheless. Underneath her own helmet, Nykoria only smirked silently at the sarcastic remark. Am I getting to you? Good. On the outside, the only difference was that Kori turned her helmet and the visor towards the Mandalorian briefly, before walking down the ramp.

Curse was true to its usual scavenging self and kept pestering Firehair. Kori couldn't understand much of it, but it was allegedly about Eisa's old lightsaber. More surprisingly, the ex-Jedi obliged the curious machine and let it inspect the hilt. Well, Eisa's got to to what Eisa's got to do. But like Malachor I'm giving my own sabers to that pesky runt. After all, it was Curse that had gotten the two Jedi in trouble on Batuu and Brentaal before. And Kori knew very well the Pistoeka's penchant for breaking things apart... sometimes violently.

The Zeltron didn't get involved in the discussion between Eisa and Minerva about the beskar, although she noted a word of advice. If only to know how to avoid conflict... or get some annoying Mando off balance. She was more interested in the pendant that Eisa had passed over through Minerva.

Why'd Firehair bring Kori of all people? Figuring out ancient mysteries was Izel's game... There were at least a couple of Jedi archaeologists that Nykoria had heard of. Surely they'd do the job better, right? Regardless, Kori did voice her thoughts outloud, while fumbling with the pendant: "The darkest spire. Either it's visually the darkest at all times... Or has the darkest history or aura about it. Or..." The Zeltron shrugged: "It could be one of the shortest spires on the far side from the sunrise. It's got to be the darkest and covered in shadows until the sun passes over it." There was no way to be sure which one of Kori's guesses were correct. Personally, she'd bet on the latest guess. It had just enough depth not to make the riddle too easy or straightforward. But the truth remained to be seen.

Turning her attention over towards the Mandalorian, as she questioned in a rather surprised tone over the presence of Beskar on the spacer's lightsaber. A light but forced smile crossed her features as she took a deep sighing breath. "It was a gift from a friend after paying a heavy cost to save his life on Telos.... along with the instruction K'oyacyi! Mando'ad draar digu " the spacer explained, but keeping her explanation relatively short lived, as her remaining hand moved to rub at the shoulder where her cybernetic arm had been grafted onto her body - something of a subconscious reaction to any thoughts that brought her back to the ill fated rescue mission on Telos that nearly cost her her life. The gift in question being four sticks of Beskar, that served as the protruding grip channels of her hilt.

Her attention shifted away from the thoughts of her past and back towards Curse who had seemingly clocked onto the fact that something was missing from the lightsaber. A light chuckle escaping her lips as she nodded in affirmation to the buzzdroid's observations. "Yeah it's the Kyber Crystal, the heart of a lightsaber Curse" Eisa offered, before quickly raising a finger to catch the droid off at the post in what she presumed the buzz droid was going to want to get the Kyber to fit it in the hilt. "But its something that only those attuned to the Force and their Kyber can correctly install, otherwise the lightsaber will explode in your hand" she added, cautioning the little droid on her shoulder, figuring that the last thing she would want to deal with is having Curse blow herself up.

As the group progressed further south, walking past the edges of the Black spire outpost, the fiery haired spacer listened to the Jedi knight as she examined and gave her thoughts on what the words engraved onto the pendant meant. Seemed like there was certainly a lot go on from, either with it being the literal definition of the darkest spire or being a metaphorical and poetic meaning behind what made the spire the darkest. A light grin crossing her features as she nodded before turning her gaze round to meet the Zeltron's "Think that makes a lot more sense" Eisa offered, before pursing her lips in thought. "can you sense any Dark auras around the spires Purps?, might narrow things down" she questioned, figuring that of the two Force Users in the group, Kori would be better attuned to feeling the presence of the darkside - Afterall since Eisa had left the Jedi, the lines between the two had started to get a bit blurred.

//Really?// Curse responded with far too much excitement as Eisa explained how an improperly placed kyber crystal would result in such a catastrophic self-destruction. She quickly turned her attention back to the lightsaber, adjusting pieces and closely examining the chamber where said crystal would fit. //An interesting detail. With some small modifications it could easily be converted into an improvised explosive, should necessity demand.// She paused to run over several scenarios in her head. //Or... A projectile weapon...// She started readjusting pieces in the lightsaber, already considering possible "improvements" that could be made to her master's Jedi weapon. //Very interesting...// She chittered lowly to herself.

Curse kept quiet and behaved for a good deal of the journey, dutifully inspecting every tiny piece and component of Eisa's lightsaber. Totally disassembling it and then reassembling it perfectly, save for the missing crystal of course. When the others began discussing possible locations meant by the pendant's riddle the buzz droid spoke up again. //I have no sensors to identify this 'dark aura' you speak of,// She said. //But if you are looking for the spire that is literally the darkest...// Without warning she crawled up atop Eisa's head and began turning to follow the path of the planet's sun. //Calculating the movement of the celestial bodies in relation to the local geography I can confirm the spire you would want to inspect is... that one.// She pointed to one of the smaller spires on the western edge of the area. She then promptly crawled back down onto her master's shoulder. //Sorry.// She apologized quickly before returning to her work.

Cheers! A Mandalorian never forgets. Minerva translated mentally from what Eisa said. That gave her a brief pause. Her comrade knew another descendant of Mandalore. It raised more questions for the warrior but she chose to not to ask further upon seeing Eisa’s pained reaction.

It’s her business whatever it was. I sure don’t want people getting nosy into my own affairs.

As for the droid Curse continued to behave like a kid with a treasure chest of candy. Minerva shook her head in quiet annoyance. Of course one solace the merc had was the fact the little demon is more focused on the lightsaber than messing with her. As Kori and Eisa discussed the possible meanings behind the pendant, Minerva ignored them.

Instead she focused on the surroundings, keeping the blaster at the ready. “This seems like good land to hunt in.” Minerva said outloud in no small amount of admiration. When Curse offered her assistance to finding the spire and subsequently miscalculated a very brief chuckle escaped the mercenary.

No wonder the clankers lost the clone wars.

The journey itself was pretty uneventful so far. Which was a goo thing. Far better than running into a couple of Sith like the last time on Batuu. Nykoria just carried on, letting herself feel the lush greenery around her and stony spires in the distance. The armored suit made it a harder than usual. How those Mandos wear their helmets almost at all times, I have no idea. Despite the inconvenience, that sort of practice was useful, especially when the time would come to bring the fight to the Sith.

Nykoria stayed out of the conversation between Firehair and the Mando. But when Eisa mentioned Telos, the Zeltron made a note to herself. She knew Telos was the mission where the ex-Jedi had lost her arm... As well as the will to be a member of the Order, or so it seemed. Kori couldn't blame her. In fact, despite leaving the Order, Firehair was sometimes more Jedi than any of the actual Knights.

However, inadvertently telling a destruction-happy buzz droid how to make a lightsaber explode was not something that any sensible Jedi would do. Curse combined with anything explosive or not was a recipe for disaster. Nykoria still understood little from the droid's chitter, so it was acting more as a background noise for her attempts to get the sense of the place. Especially since Eisa asked her to do it. Alas, Kori didn't sense anything unusual; not even the echoes of past events. The only direction where she could sense the Dark was away from the spires, in a village that had been raided by the Sith and their cronies a while ago. "Sorry, nothing unusual on my radar," she replied with a wry smirk under the helmet.

Upon hearing Minerva's comment, Kori nodded: "Good area for camping, exercises, and meditation as well. I could see myself settling down here. If I had a proper house..." She was interrupted by a sudden antic from the Pistoeka droid. If Kori had understood Curse's Binary, she might have found a new appreciation for the droid. But for now, Curse remained an annoying rascal that could play cute when she wanted to; like getting on top of Eisa's head and making the Zeltron giggle briefly. The droid did point at somewhere, and it made Kori wonder if there was something worthwhile in that direction.

As the group made their way further towards the cropping of spires, gradually increasingly removing themselves from the near by settlements and along the path less travelled. The fiery haired spacer was caught off guard by Curse's sudden uprooting from her usual perch on her shoulder, and scrambling up onto her head. "Hey... Bud... wait .... what" was all Eisa could utter before the buzz droid, chirped out in great detail about celestial cycles and various orbits and identifying the darkest of the spires would be one off towards the western edges of the area they were headed towards - before scrambling back down onto her shoulder and apologising.

Blinking a few moments in stunned silence as she looked at Curse who was now back on her shoulder and inspecting the lightsaber hilt as if nothing had happened. Shaking the moment of bemusement off, Eisa gave curse's words some thought, coupled with Kori's revelation that she could not sense any darkness in the Force. It looked as if it would be the earlier suggestion that the spire would be the one covered most in the shadow of others. "Well no harm in taking a look" Eisa commented as she looked towards the others, before adjusting their path so that they were now headed to the indicated spire.

Pulling chain of the returned pendant back over her head, the fiery haired spacer continued to walk along the perimeter of the spires, her eyes looking for the slightest deviation in the formation of the towering rock spires, her gaze narrowing as she caught sight of what looked like a cave entrance that was partially obscured by some overgrowth. Curiosity getting the better of her, the spacer moved off the path, and stepped over the thickets and brambles towards the irregularity. Closing in on the covered entrance, Eisa pulled away at the barbed hedge with her cybernetic limb, revealing a cave entrance that upon closer inspection looked as if it had been bored out by a mining laser.

3w3kbnsfxhf31.jpg
"This is curious" Eisa commented as she turned to face towards Minerva and Kori, "Think we've got a tunnel of sorts, looks like its been bored out" she called over, before reaching down to her belt and webbing to retrieve her blaster pistol, before turning her attention to curse. "Keep your scanners ready bud, just in case"

To be perfectly honest Curse worked a bit too efficiently for her own good. In the time it took them to travel from the landing zone to the spire they had picked out she had already fully disassembled and reassembled Eisa's lightsaber several times. After taking stock of every single piece that composed the weapon there wasn't much else for the buzz droid to do but completely destroy it. And as concluded before that was off the table. For now. With a somewhat disappointed whir the Pistoeka crawled down to return her master's lightsaber to it's pouch before returning to her shoulder. Fortunately her boredom would be short-lived, as they seemed to have found something of interest.

As Eisa pushed the overgrowth aside Curse leaned forward on her shoulder, whistling with curiosity as she analyzed the cave entrance. Clearly manmade, and it looked like it had been here for quite a while. The Pistoeka switched through the different filters on her photoreceptors, trying to find anything of interest. Unfortunately her x-ray sensor couldn't penetrate very deep into the stone. Her vision was as limited as her organic companions.

//You have my undivided attention.// Curse responded to her master's request, raising her shell casings and turning her audio sensors to their highest setting, as well as all her others. She was interested to see if she could identify an incoming assailant before her Force-sensitive friends could. //So... Will there be things to break in here? Or is this place a sacred Jedi site or something?// Once again the little buzz droid could barely contain her eagerness to charge off and find something to destroy, but organics could be so sentimental over certain things. Always better to ask first.

When Kori commented about the wilderness as well Minerva at first didn’t know what to say. Mostly because she ironically found herself mostly agreeing with the Jedi. Well except for the mediation and setting up a house part.

“A house huh? Don’t ya Jedi prefer to live in old temples or something?

Upon that remark Minerva subsequently noted a flock of orange colored birds flying eastward. Those are some beautiful feathers. Keeping that thought to herself the merc focused on back, observing their flanks. One can’t be too careful after all.

Only when Eisa stopped did she do as will. Inching her finger toward her rifle’s trigger Minerva watched her captain remove the foliage that revealed a cave entrance. Curse then asked if she could break stuff once they’re inside. As for Minerva she had a different concern that finally occurred to her.

“Red how often do treasure hunters come to these parts?”

"Nah, old temples aren't necessarily the Jedi way," the pseudo-Mando retorted from under the helmet. "We live in all kinds of places." Curse's chitter in binary remained mostly a mystery, although the Zeltron did understand separate words, like "Jedi" and "break". You kind of had to learn those words around the buzz droid, or the consequences would be on you.

The passage revealed by Eisa made the Zeltron take one of the sabers and ignite it. As the azure glow spread down the corridor, Nykoria touched the rugged wall. The gloves on her hands restricted contact and made the wall it almost mute in the Force; but even through the fabric, Nykoria managed to perceive something. "Curious," she mumbled, more to herself than to anyone else, before stepping further into the corridor. "Very curious." Completely oblivious to the fact that Eisa had said the same thing moments before.

As the corridor went farther and farther and took a sharp turn, the light from outside all but ceased. Kori's blade however still illuminated the walls as she made her way into the opening... Or rather, a natural hall, or whatever it was. The walls were irregular, and Kori's boots echoed across the... THUD! A loud metallic noise was followed by an angry "Kriff!" The glow of the saber went lower, to reveal a metallic casing with cables. As the azure blade followed them, a rusty metallic stand was revealed.

Touching it cautiously, Nykoria spent a moment before lifting the lid, which turned out to be a derelict screen. The whole thing seemed like a computer terminal, covered by a thick layer of dust and corrosion. How long had it even been there? The Jedi had a few guesses already, but she'd need to look around the room and feel the place to figure it out for sure. One thing was certain: the place didn't quite look or feel like an old Jedi facility.

As the group ventured deeper into the artificially bored out cave, the spacer looked over towards Curse as, often expected the little buzz droid came to her usual line of questioning - can she break the things that they find in the cave. A light chuckle escaping her lips, as they curled into a grin. It was good to know that the little droid was keeping up the habit of asking for permission to trash things, rather than going wild at the first instant - it certainly was starting to make life easier for the crew. "Well lets see what we find here first bud, who knows maybe someone might of hidden a speeder or a mining set up in the cave" Eisa responded, figuring that perhaps the unknown contents within may give the droid a little bit of excitement. "Be like a life day present"

The group had seemingly came into a larger cavern, and had started to fan out. The light from Kori's lightsaber started to dim down as she eased away from the group, before a sudden metallic thud could be heard echoing out within the chamber. Turning round towards the source of the noise, the spacer moved to check what Kori had just bumped into. As she drew closer, the spacer could see what looked to be source of a thud, a large cargo container of sorts, but as she watched the Zeltron open the lid she could see the blue light reflect off the inside of the glazed inner panel.

"That don't look very Jedi like" Eisa commented, as she walked around the console. Before looking towards the back of the console, she could see something that looked all to similar to the many wiring looms that ran throughout her ship. "Purps, can you hold your saber in my direction" she added, before following the wiring loom along its path. Her eyes narrowing as she tried to make out what looked like two wiring couplers - well might as well see what happens, the spacer figured before plugging the two connectors together.

A dull whine, rang out followed by several clicks and hums, before various lights started to flicker into life. Revealing what looked like a serious array of kit, terminals, comms stations, scanners and crates stacked up almost up to the roof at some points. "Well this certainly isn't something you find every day" the spacer remarked, yet it was more clearly stating the obvious. Finding some outpost that looked somewhat military in nature, but giving the cobbled together nature of the equipment, it certainly wasn't imperial.

"50 Credits this is old Rebel tech" Eisa spoke out as she started to walk around the newly revealed complex, her eyes looking around the various markings or messages hand carved into the walls, internally grimacing at the fact that she was soon going to be short 50 credits. Having clocked a hand carved message 'Frag the First order' gouged into the wall, hopefully no one else would notice it.

Curse had a night filter in her photoreceptors that allowed her to see as plainly as day in the darkened tunnel, still for her master's benefit she ignited her plasma torch and held it forwards. It wasn't as bright as Kori's lightsaber, but it helped a little. As Eisa talked about what they might find inside she let out an excited chitter.

//Mining setup eh...?// She beeped out thoughtfully. After some consideration she released a devious little cackle. //A mining drill could be repurposed as a hull-breach weapon. It would make an excellent addition to the Rim Hopper's arsenal...// Just the thought of boring a hole into an enemy ship and watching the crew be ejected into the vacuum of space... Wonderful. Better yet, it could prove a fantastic mode of infiltration for boarding said ship. The little Pistoeka was more and more happy to be here.

Once they made their way into the next room and the lights came on it was all the buzz droid could do to cling to her spot on Eisa's shoulder. So much equipment! Old equipment too, some machinery she hadn't even seen before. Her programming was quickly taking over. How quickly could she irreparably dismantle this place she wondered? But she just managed to restrain herself. Just. //Incorrect.// The buzz droid casually replied to Eisa's ill-timed wager. //Evidence suggests early New Republic era... Ah! There see?// To punctuate her point she pointed towards the carving the spacer had hoped no one would see.

Entering the dark room Minerva used her hemelt’s night vision to examine her surroundings. She came to a console some distance from the others just when Eisa brought the power back. “Ugh!” The Mandalorian exclaimed, subsequently turning off the night vision before muttering.

“Give me a warning next time.”

That aside Minerva looked back and forth at the place. Some kind of operational center. Can’t be smugglers judging by the arrangement of the equipment. Perhaps militia or rebel but it’s hard to tell.

Just then Eisa made her bet before it was quickly won by Curse. Glancing up the Resistance graffiti she paused in utter amusement. Then the mercenary let out a genuine chuckle.

“Red you owe that demon droid those creds.”

When Eisa requested some light from the saber, Nykoria was happy to oblige. Not too long afterwards, Firehair did something, and the old equipment kicked in. What Kori saw was no surprise; she had sensed some parts of history of that place when touching the wall of the passage. The Mandalorian's frustration when the lights turned on all of a sudden was contagious, almost palpable. Although the Zeltron shared in that experience inadvertently, a jab at Minerva always felt good. On the bright side, Kori's own helmet didn't have night vision, so her own eyes weren't hit by the sudden brightness.

Eisa's guess about Rebel tech sounded appropriate. "A small militia fighting against a giant war machine." That was as much as Nykoria could figure out. But after some chitter from the buzz droid—Kori could understand the "Incorrect", "early", and "New Republic"—Minerva confirmed that the buzz droid's guess was better.

"So, the Resistance, huh?" Kori mused through her helmet, thinking outloud. "You think that pendant dates back to those days?"
