Seems fine to me. I'm no expert on them myself, but someone who is trying to hide from pursuers would just loiter in a system like that with their primary systems powered down.

For some reason, I got the impression that the atmosphere inside the ship was like that scene in Empire Strikes Back when Han and all them were hiding out on the Asteroid from the Empire. Or that's how I pictured it at least, only darker.
