ATTN: Name Changes

Hey SWRP!

Just a quick update. The name change addon is not working and I don't have the time to create a new version that would work correctly, so, for the time being, if you would like a name change please send Lucid a private message.

Put your request in the PM text.

No other admin will accommodate these requests and, to make sure things don't get too confusing, I'll be tracking name changes via my notes and only grant a new name to a member once every three months for the time being.

Just a reminder, though I do try to get to name changes quickly, they are not an instant thing. Furthermore I'd like to reiterate the importance of choosing a name that you like and will be happy with. Character names are generally not a good choice, since characters have a bad habit of dying without warning or being archived, or falling out of favor with the user.

You have to remember, when you're picking your name you're essentially picking your handle that people will recognize you by out of game and on the boards in general. It's better to have something that you identify with than it is to take the name of a transient character (since this is not an MMO, characters are constantly in flux, and being known by a character name can get tiresome).

Just some food for thought.
