Mock-Tournament?

Is anyone interested in having a mock Acolyte tournament? I was looking for a way to introduce my second character, Maieve, and I figured that might be a good way. It wouldn't have to be to the death or anything, something just for fun to get an idea of how much we're progressing as a group, so to speak. It'd probably be on Ziost, and we could either do a free-for-all tournament as the Training Guide suggests, or perhaps even just a series of small duels. I was going to just post the thread, but I didn't want to if there was little/no interest in it. So anyway, let me know if anyone else would be interested, and I'll get the thread posted!

That's how Maieve would feel as well, but I don't know if people would be willing to join with the understanding that their characters might die in the process. We can easily negotiate that part, because I think that going to the death makes it so much more interesting. But, meh.

I'm fine with a tournament... that's not to the death. It would be a good way to gain prestige. We could have some Marauder be chosen as the former champion and at the end, the winner of the tournament would get a chance to dethrone the champion in a title match.

I'm all for being the commentator.

I would be in for a acolyte series of duels tourney provided it is a safe duel. I would probably be in it if it wasn't but I would have to consider it.

Aight. Anybody who's interested in competing, PM me and I'll announce the duels tomorrow. If we get one more person, we can have two non-fatal duels and then a championship. However, I'd be totally open to having more than that. Or we can just do a free-for-all, which might be slightly more chaotic, but also more fun. I'd want it to be significantly more structured.

Hm. Decidedly, if you want to join, when you PM me, let me know if you would rather have it be a series of duels and then a championship, or a free-for-all. Weiss can commentate.

Lastly, I think would be more logical to have the Tournament hosted on Korriban rather than Ziost. It just seems to make more sense.

So: if you wanna' fight, shoot me a PM sometime tonight and I'll announce everything in this thread tomorrow, then start a thread in the morning as well.

How about the Emperor's Fist? That's uninhabited and could be a way for acolytes to try to show their stuff to their upperclassmen in hopes of gaining prestige and a teacher.

That sounds fantastic. Is there an IC way for them to all get there?
