No. I'm sorry, but I have a life, job and school to attend too as well as swrp. to get the new posts button back it's going to take some serious work on my part. I'll be honest, i never use the new post button. Do what I do and click your way around the forums.
Additionally, I'm not entirely sure I'm ever going to re-enable the search function...at least not until we get our server situation sorted out for good.
Why is there a link to the New York Times at the top? :CGape
But we can't even search through someone's threads anymore.. :CCry1
I was wondering the same thing lol...
Also i never use the new messages thingy too, the search function yes, often, to stalk someone and see how he roleplays, etc.
see that SIN?!*Seamus says:
[16:23:24] *can i leave the NY Times

@ Yorik: Because it's good to face yourself every now and then.
@Horizon: As I've said before. I've removed the search function's index because I changed the search parameters. However, because the site is so massive, I was unable to rebuild the index in the two normal ways: through vB and phpMyAdmin. This means that I'll have to do it through the SSH. This is time consuming beyond what is healthy but will work for sure. However that does not guarantee the search function will return. That is dependant on the final size of the search index.I suggest everyone start exercising their wrists.
It should be noted that it may be a few days before I'm able to do this.
How about a legitimate reason? It's kind of annoying and unnecessary.@ Yorick: Because it's good to face yourself every now and then.

I like it, personally. And the convenient direct link to changing your avatar can be useful for people who change their avatars on a little more regular basis.
I share this sentiment.
