DESCRIPTION
The "Dakka" as it is colloquially known, is a short barrelled squad automatic weapon that sports a tri-rotating barrel, made to be smaller and less cumbersome and counteract the chance of overheating. The shorter barrel reduces range compared to its military counterparts, and in effort to reduce the weight and length the weapon also does away with the integrated scope, bipod, and pintle mount option in exchange for slightly easier concealability and maneuverability. This allows them to be more easily maneuvered in the tight confines of spacecraft and close urban environments, making it an equally popular weapon among the militaries of the galaxy and their special operations teams that use less conventional weaponry. As well as pirates and criminals, despite some of the associated drawbacks.

One person wielding a Dakka acts as a force multiplier when fighting effectively and can sway the tides of battle, the spin up of the barrels can be activated by half depressing the trigger and the whirling combined with the distinct sound the weapon makes when firing have given it a fierce reputation.

LEGALITY
Repeaters of all varieties are highly illegal for civilian use in Sith space and many other civilized jurisdictions without special licensing. Civilians carrying this sort of tech should expect an armed response to their presence once noticed.

INTENT
Desire to add another repeater to the mix beyond the javelin, beviin and deck sweeper that is functionally similar but a different flavor.

ADVANCED TECH
No.

It has better range and capacity than the deck sweeper, that means it doesn't qualify as a deck sweeper reskin. Does work for the beviin though, as it's lower spec than that.

When I said reskin of the Deck Sweeper I meant I just stole the text and some stats, it's effectively it's own weapon and being that it is shorter than the other repeaters and not a 'field modified' version with a lopped off barrel I figured the range penalty would not be as severe.

A reskin doesn't mean it has similar text, it means it has identical or inferior stats. So you should figure out what this is a reskin of and link that weapon, otherwise it might not qualify as generic tech.

Right. Not a reskin, it carries the same stat of ammo capacity of the Javelin and an inferior range of the two site created ones due to the length of the barrel, it also has a lighter weight due to a smaller size.

If the fact it doesn’t carry the same exact stats but also doesn’t confer any special or better stats makes it non generic I can submit it. Nothing about this falls outside the rules of weapons tech for repeaters to make it non-generic.

@Loco or @AutoFox if you care to weigh in
