Nilus was told to do one thing: Burn. And in doing so, make enough of a ruckus on one side of Onderon to draw attention to one end of the planet, to distract from a larger invasion of infantry. Nilus was dropped with one other Sith Empire associate. He cared not who until they were, but they had been dropped at different points, through the atmosphere, and were given coordinates and a map for which they required to find the rendezvous point in the vast and dangerous jungle just mile inland from the main southern entrance to the capital of Iziz.

The forest was thick underneath a canopy of tall trees, a lone trooper donning solid black faceless armor that he had designed for his needs as a lightweight, moderate armor rating armor based off of the Redoubt class Armor in use by the Legion, affectionately referred to as 'Huntsman's Armor' although little more than the aesthetic of the armor differs from the parent armor style, and less weight, as it is a functionless suit of armor, doing no more than protect his body and extremities from damage, and provide unhindered use of his natural senses, through the use of a compartmentalized helmet piece that peels back to reveal his whole face. Over his armor, he donned a flame retardant woodland camo cloak/poncho hybrid, and carried with him his typical gear. The path before him was several meters wide, and stretched outward a great plain. In the distance by about 50 meters lay the gate of the capitol Iziz. Nilus would remain within the shade of the vast oaks, and shrubs, awaiting his contact from within the Empire to join him.

"Alright, Let's Do This!" Calpernia said to herself as she watched the sky pass by via her drop. She was excited for this mission, a chance to really cut loose and enjoy herself. Wanton destruction wasn't really her thing if she was honest, it was dull to just break things because you felt like it. To Calpernia, the thrill of doing things was more rewarding then just doing the thing itself.

But this was different, it was a cat and mouse game and she loved games, especially ones that called for her to do some good old fashion physical activity. Landing on the planets surface, she had no idea where her partner was, but she hoped the man had enough sense to make himself easy to find. She had brought her armor with her, black material which clung to her body and offered protection and flexibility, Inquisitor Armor which fit her templar self nicely. Calpernia flicked her ears to listen to the sound of the wooded area here, her tails flicking behind her as she tapped her fingers along the handles of her vibroaxes before pausing, and instead reaching behind herself for some nice toys.

Incendiary grenades borrowed from the armor, they'd work as well as flares would. But she wanted to see if she could find her partner first. "Now if I were a scary guy, where would I probably be..." She asked herself as she crossed her arms and thought a moment, snapping them as she turned around with a wide smile, "Right behind me with a knife!"

There was nobody there, and she gave a huff as she rolled her shoulders, cracking her neck a little as she looked towards the direction of the city. "Okay then, onto plan b." She said as she began to walk, heading in the direction of Iziz, and humming a little as she did so. She was getting closer through the tall greenary, and soon began to feel a dangerous tingle along her spine. "That must be my guy." she muttered to herself as she began to make her way towards her fellow imperial, curious what kind of person he was. He certainly looked the part of a menacing fellow, but maybe he had a sense of humor as well?

One could hope.

She'd started her day in the early hours before the dawn, rising and showering before donning her armor and weapons. She hated mornings like this, where her first task would be a funeral ceremony, there was just something about it that made sure the rest of her day would just be off somehow. Of course, Kesiya was the first to arrive, two of her fellow guards flanked the body of the elderly male Devaronian whom had died the previous evening. Once Kesiya and the other members of you team had taken their positions around the room, the two guards from before finally left without a word. Never, the body of a fallen Jedi was never left unattended, it was one of the most important duties temple guards were entrusted with.

Kesiya had never met the man before, though he'd apparently lived on Onderon since the temple had been built. As various Jedi began to stumble into the chamber, and the smallest rays of sunlight began to peak over the windows and filter into the room, Kesiya knew it was almost time for the ceremony to begin. The deceased Jedi master had trained dozens if not more in the ways of the Jedi, and it showed when the chamber began to fill up. Younglings of all ages cried as they mourned and many Jedi knights and a few older Jedi masters had come to see off their collective friend, teacher, and brother. Kesiya watched as the faint rays of sunlight grew stronger, slowly illuminating the shadows of the chamber as they stretched forwards, ever closer to the deceased Jedi at the center of the room.

It would only be as the sunlight finally touched the fallen Jedi's face, as dawn had finally come, that Kesiya ignited the yellow blades of her lightsaber pike. He fellow guards igniting their own blades in unison with her own. It was time, Kesiya and her fellows walked forward, keeping pace with each other, having done this ritual a hundred times before, and a hundred times to many. The healers had washed him with oil, and as the various guards stood a few feet from the stone slab his body lay upon, Kesiya twisted her wrist to activate the the internal mechanism within the funeral table. Once the body was lowered into the floor and the opening sealed, the furnace activated and a bright white beam of energy stored from within a small hole in the seal, sending the light upward towards the sealing.

Kesiya and her fellow guards maintained their lightsaber salutes as the various Jedi in the room comforted each other. Once the furnace died down and the Jedi left, Kesiya disengaged her lightsaber, followed by the five other guards on her squad. "Well, we have the rest of the day off. Who wants to join me in the sparring room?" Kesiya's second in command spoke up rather enthusiastically. Her name was Ultaria Gark. Normally Kesiya would love to spar with the feisty little Zygerrian, but they all knew Kesiya would spend the day training alone. Funerals never sat right with her afterwards.

Thirty minutes later, Kesiya stood outside one of the gates of Iziz, just at the outer edge of the treeline ready to start her run. Still wearing her armor and weapons, a little endurance training would be good for the soul, Kesiya set off at a respectable but not entirely neck breaking pace. It'd take her at least an thiry minutes to run around the entirety of the city, speeding up as she went, but she wanted to get at least a dozen laps in to clear her mind. She simply couldn't have guessed at how dangerous her morning jog would really become, but at least she was prepared. For now she just listen to some music and ran.

The war was hotting up for Al-Ric. He had only recently seen his first proper battle on Ithor. 'Seen' being the operative word: as things had transpired, he had been a spectator more than anything. For the engagement, however, he had been issued with Jedi modular armour which had been an ill-fit for one used more to a mix of diplomacy and reconnaissance than open warfare. Seeing the death and destruction on Ithor, he had seen the need for the previously neglected armour and so here he was on Onderon, wearing the armour in and testing his survival skills with the extra weight.

He had been out for two days when he saw it: two shapes shooting down from the atmosphere, one after the other. He packed his wind sheet away with its bungees and the half dozen snares he had set, covered back the leaf litter over where he had been staying and set off towards where he last saw the shapes above the forest canopy.

Nilus paced around the rendezvous point, waiting for his comrade to show their face, when a rustling through the bush could be heard ever-so faintly n the distance. Nilus snapped closed his helmet, and turned into a crouched position, drawing his SP-30, and training his eyes, and blaster on the target. The silhouette of a fox-eared humanoid did had too dark of a presence to be of the Jedi. Nilus stood and holstered his pistol.

"Sith," he said, plainly, in his gruff voice before putting a fist to his chest in salute to her, "I take it you got the same orders as I did; stir up some shit, and cause a distraction. I know of a small depot a couple kilometer east of here. Don't know much more than it's fenced in, but I say we hit that and get an alarm off, and use the woods to outmaneuver our pursuers. Hit and run style over and over again. Get 'em to think there are raiders in the woods. Follow me." he spoke, with intent on getting the mission finished. Turning to the woods, he began a steady jog toward the the direction of the depot.

Calpernia had paused when the word sith caught her ears, looking to the figure whose face was completely encased in a helmet. She listened to him speak as she rolled her shoulders, tilting her neck to the side, and did some wrist stretches as the man listed out an apparently thought out plan of destruction and subterfuge.

She contemplated whether or not she'd actually follow along with it, the temptation to absolutely ruin the plan just for the fun of it crossing her mind only briefly as she thought it more so. "Sounds good to me, tall, dark, and nameless." Calpernia replied with a smirk, the idea of a run and gun style destruction perking her interest as she worked with the man who hadn't given his name, and whom she didn't feel like giving a name as well, "I got some incendiaries on me, so we can make a nice and toasty exit when we're done."

Kesiya interrupted her music when she saw a fellow Jedi bolting through the trees a few dozen meters ahead of her. It wasn't uncommon for her to run across fellow Jedi on her jogs, cardio was a popular method of endurance training among the Jedi of Onderon, but he didn't seem to be exercising. Something tingled at the tips of her fingers, almost beckoning her to draw her saber. Something is wrong. She thought to herself just before she took off after the other Jedi. He was wearing his armor much like she was, which made her worry. It was doubtful he was attempting endurance training at this speed.

It wasn't until she'd nearly made her way to him that she noticed it. a parachute tangled in a tree not even ten minutes away from Iziz. There was not distress beacon, which either meant someone was injured beyond capacity to call for aid or someone wasn't in need of aid at all. Kesiya's expression shifted to one that was far more serious as she pressed a button on her comlink on her wrist, setting off her own distress beacon before pulling the bracelet off her arm and tossing it into a nearby push as she continued running. It'd take at least fifteen minutes for help to arrive, and with most of her squad off duty, it might take them even longer to suit up. Hopefully, disturbing their day off would prove unnecessary, but if Kesiya ended up getting herself killed out here, she wanted to make sure someone at the temple knew something was happening.

Once she'd finally caught up to the(young, old, middle aged? @Ulysses how old is Al-Ric?) man, he was clearly a Jedi Knight and near-human if not human entirely. "How long ago did you notice the parachute?" With both of them fully dressed in their respective armors, Kesiya clearly wearing the armor of a temple guard, there was no real need for proper introductions at the moment. In any case, if the human Jedi ended up dead in the ensuing conflict, she'd end up learning his name after she read the report. If she ended up dying, it really wouldn't matter what his name was. Kesiya began to slow, reaching out and pulling the other Jedi's arm to follow suit as she felt the presence of two individuals attuned with the Force.

She turned to her fellow Jedi and put a finger over the breathing slits of her mask before motioning towards the treetops above. Kesiya jumped onto a larger branch and made her way higher into the canopy above as she began to dampen her presence within the Force. If they needed to communicate from here on out they could do so telepathically. Kesiya continued to make her way towards the two presences within the Force, skipping her way from one tree to the next with deft and silent movements as the two presences began to grow darker and darker in her mind's eye. Her stomach flipped into a knot as the dread of it set in, sith, there were sith on Onderon. The day had come, it was time for her to perform her most sacred of duties as a guardian of the Jedi Order.

Keeping noise to a minimum, Al-Ric was quickly overtaken by the running guardian. He saw the insignia of her armour, and mimed clicking his heels: "Ma'am, there were two such parachutes, do you feel them?" He gave the honorific despite not being strictly under her chain of command, vindicating her choice not to do formal introductions.

Al-Ric started tracking the pair, partly by force signature, partly by ground signs until his new companion grabbed his elbow. As she jumped into the trees, dampening her signature, Al-Ric followed suit with the latter, but not the former: one person can move effectively and quietly in the canopy; two people increases the risks disproportionately as body weight movements from one person can interfere with branch movements caused by another, thereby causing creaking or snapping. Al-Ric much preferred the ground anyway and so darted swiftly and silently from tree to tree, allowing Kesiya to make 10-20 meters ahead of him before matching her pace.

He would be careful not to be seen by the enemy, preferring to establish their strength and intentions before showing himself.

It didn't take but a few dozen seconds for the two Jedi to close in on the Imperial bastards. Kesiya sat squatting on a thick tree branch overlooking the two individuals about 20 meters high and 15 meters away from them. She cast a sideways glance to make sure her companion was in position as well before she took one of the Smackdown grenades off her utility belt and threw it at the two would be arsonists. Without knowing of her presence before hand there would be little the two individuals would be able to do to defend against the surprise attack. At least for their sake the grenade in question was non-lethal.

Once it'd land on the grass between the two individuals with a dull thud, Kesiya wouldn't wait for it to detonate to launch herself at the closest target, (@Gian Greydragon), her lightsaber pike in hand and now ignited. No doubt her fellow Jedi would descend upon them at the same time as she did, with no forewarning and with her grenade likely knocking them on their rears, the two Jedi would have the upper hand. With any luck Kesiya's fall would break as her lightsaber split the Legionnaire in two., not that there would be any fun to be had in such a quick death. Sith were always made of sterner stuff, Imperials couldn't hope of compair.

Al-Ric skirted round to the left, so that he had a clear view of both trespassers [i.e. @Gian Greydragon on right; @Cainhurst Crow on left] and nodded to his comrade.

Charging in as the grenade exploded, he would swipe his left hand across his body, pushing the left hand opponent's feet towards the blast, exaggerating the effect of the smack down. In his right hand he ignited his lightsaber and would swing it from top right to bottom left upon reaching the fallen combatant, coming to rest mere centimetres from his chest, if he remained still.

Nilus kept his head on a swivel at all times, as he and his teammate, at the moment were the only known Legionnaires on the planet. Using his own feral instincts, he kept his eyes open for any resistance. As they trudged through the jungle, leaves fell from the canopy, noting a creature or person of notable size within the trees. Nilus' muscles tensed, though he continued forward. As he passed the point where the leaves had fallen, he looked upward to see a small figure falling from the tree the looked to be about the size of the indigenous fruit that grew on some of the trees on Onderon, though it was falling significantly faster than any fruit should ever fall from it's branch. Lifting a free arm, he released a moderate strength Force Push, to send it further into the jungle, away from him and his partner, allowing it to detonate without any damage done to him or Calpernia.

Following shortly behind it, was a Dark-skinned Jedi. Having fallen from roughly 20 meters, there was more than enough time for Nilus to bring up his B00M Pulse Rifle and fire off three rounds at her center mass, by the time she was roughly five meters above him. Nilus would then, leap backward 2 meters, and let his rifle fall behind him on it's sling, and draw one of his dual-bladed lightsabers.

Calpernia's ears peaked as the jedi made their move, eyes looking up to the Jedi above as she reached down for one of the many Vibroknives she carried. Having 12 of them on her person always allowed her something to throw, and with the amount she made working for the empire she could afford to buy more if she couldn't recover one. She was ready to throw the vibroknife and aim it straight for the jedi when she felt her feet kicked out from under her, her eyes going down to see nothing but air below her as she twisted her body to land with her back facing up, along with her tails.

Her hands and knees hit the ground as her eyes darted around behind her, catching sight of someone closing in and fast. The flash of light told Calpernia everything she needed to know, her eyes wide as a realization struck her. This was it, her life was going to be over this quickly. She refused to look away as she locked her eyes on the second jedi, he approached fast with his lightsaber at the ready. He brought his saber to bear, but seemed to come to a halt centimeters away from piercing her as she looked down to the saber, then back up towards the jedi who held her at saber point.

Calpernia was silent as she kept still, breathing slowly as she looked up to the man, and wondered what he would do. Slow breathing was key to focusing her energy, which she began to do as she felt the forces energy slowly and subtly begin to ripple from her chest, echoing through her body as she let the wave of icy cold energy slowly pool within her.

The sith was smart to sense the grenade, smarter still to fire at her while she was in descent. The only issue with his choices was that it only took about two seconds to fall to the ground from Keisya's height. (It takes the average sized human about 2 seconds to fall 62 feet, 20 meters is roughly 65 feet.) Most of that time had been spent simply aiming his weapon at her and by the time he'd fired she was already upon him. The first blaster bolt hit her in the stomach, her armor absorbing the damage though Kesiya had definitely felt the impact. The second blaster bolt tore through the armor on her left thigh as her boot slammed into the Legioner's shoulder. The last of the three bolts flew past her entirely as both of them fell to the ground, ending up roughly 2 meters from one another.

It didn't take long for either of them to regain their footing, Kesiya's yellow lightsaber pike held outward across her body as she knelt on one knee. She shouted at him as her fellow Jedi seemed to apprehend the other dark sider, "Cease hostilities!" It was doubtful, but perhaps seeing his companion apprehended would get him to submit to her. To her utter shock and anger, the sith drew a yellow hued double bladed lightsaber, almost the same exact color as her own. Was it possible this individual was once a temple guard like herself? Kesiya had already dragged once such individual back to the Order to be locked in a cell for the rest of his life, and he had been one of her closest friends. She'd even gone so far as to kill three sith in the process. She would not be so lenient on this individual.

Thrusting her left hand forward, Kesiya attempted to reach out with the Force and rip the man's feet from under him. If successful, she'd send her lightsaber pike spinning towards him in an attempt to decapitate the man and end the threat. If the second sith truly had been captured, it wouldn't take long for Kesiya and the other Jedi to deal with one fool. It'd be best if he died out here, if the reinforcements arrived and he was found to have once been a temple guard, he'd likely be executed before noon, and Kesiya would only be so thrilled to volunteer to wield the axe.

"Stay down. Let's finish this now." Al-Ric felt the darkness and anger growing in the intruder.

"Is this all there is? Hate and destruction?" He moved his saber away from the feline's face, into a more defensive pose. He gathered his thoughts and feelings for the force assault that was coming if his words had no effect.

The rifle's first two bolts ripped into the Jedi, hitting her armor, and tagging her thing, wounding her, although, the timing was just slightly off, as she collided with him, as he moved back. Recovering with a quick combat roll, he got to his feet, drawing his pistol, in his offhand, and firing twice from a crouching position at her wounded thigh, as he stood and ignited the second full-length blade of his dual-bladed saber, hopefully occupying her enough to deter her from using the Force, as she'd extended her hand to do so. He'd cover backward, putting an additional meter back and left of the Keshiri Jedi, putting him roughly in the middle of the pathway, with both Jedi in his periphery.

"You coward! You're a disgrace to the Legion! I should execute you, myself!" he barked at his teammate, who had already seemingly surrendered. Writhing in anger at her lack of conviction, he holstered his pistol and drew his second dual-bladed lightsaber, in his left hand igniting the shoto-length blades, holding his primary lightsaber along his body at an upward angle and leading with his left handed- dual-shoto, held forward, angled diagonally across his body, creating a defensive barrier of plasma between him and his aggressors. "Come and get me." he growled under his breath, bearing his sharpened canines at both of the Jedi before him.

Calpernia looked to her opponent who stepped back, raising a brow as she continued to channel the dark side within her. It felt good to her, the chill up her spine and in her bones felt like tiny jolts of adrenaline coursing in her veins.

"What are you doing?" She asked, sounding genuinely curious as she rose into a sitting position, sitting cross-legged on the ground as she brought a hand up to her chin, "You could have killed me. You could still kill me now...so why? Is this some kind of thing you jedis do for fun?" Calpernia sounded confused but the power she gathered was going to a good place, originally to use to try and defend herself against the sabers blade by blocking it with the force.

Now that energy was being sent through her body instead, channeling it to increase her speed and reaction time as her allies words made her growl in annoyance, "You remind me of that man...work and duty but no room for fun." She lunged forward onto her hands and knees and with a sudden leap, was up in the air in the blink of an eye, her energy used up as she soared above to land on one of the higher branches, using a tree adjacent to the one the jedi had used as she pulled out two vibro-knives from her belt. Calpernia flung them both down to the ground, two of them aimed at Al-Ric to impale him in he knee and in the shoulder, hoping to split his attention dealing with it to give her time to gather her thoughts on her next move.

As the sith's blaster was raised and fired, Kesiya pulled her hand back, using her already extended lightsaber blades to deflect both blaster bolts away. Opting to deflect both in such quick succession had left little rome to attempt to reflect them back at the sith, not that doing so would amount to much in a fight with lightsabers. Even so, utilizing her defenses had taken precious time, allowing her sith opponent to take a further meter in distance from her. Luckily it didn't seem he was all that interested in fleeing, not as fortunate for him, after doing so he began to speak to his partner, who also seemed to be mount her own form of a counter attack.

Kesiya wouldn't give her opponent any time to breath more than half a breath, as she needed to release the built up Force energy some way. Rather than make a second attempt at a Force Push, she instead allowed the energy to transfer from her arm to her legs and feet, empowering her to cross the three meters in the blink of an eye. Her attack would come low, as she spun her heel, her lightsaber pike held above her head in a defensive position as her body spun, she'd be able to block any attack from above. In her off hand, she'd drawn one of her guard shotos, igniting it's burnt orange blade mid step as she had initially lowered her body into the crouching highguard before striking out at the man's left ankle with her shoto.

If he attempted to strike her, she would be able to defend herself with her lightsaber pike, if he attempted to block her shoto, she would cut him in half with her lightsaber pike. There were few alternatives given the speed of her attack and his seemingly preoccupation with pointless speeches, but to Kesiya, his only alternatives were to completely evade the attack and seek a more advantageous position. It would be the smart move, but she didn't suspect him of being of the more intelligent side of whatever gene pool his species wasted away in.

Expecting a direct assault, when the Sith leapt forward, Al-Ric instinctively unleashed his barrage, thrusting his left hand towards his quarry.

What would have repulsed the aborted attack instead pushed the prostrate feline back to the ground. If not completely, it would at least cause the jump to falter such that the branch was not reached.

If he caught the Sith early enough to keep her on the ground, he would resume his hold at sabre point.

If the Sith jumped free, he would attempt to catch her on the volley with his sabre.

"You have an interesting definition of fun. But I will not kill you for it. Stay down."

Nilus' eyes had never left either of the Jedi, so as Kesiya pressed forward, so did Nilus, cutting his berating of his teammate short, meeting her, as she spun on her heel. As her back was turned, Nilus formed a pincer with his sabers, lengthening the shoto-length blades as he did so, guaranteeing his reach. The primary blades were thrust forward, from above and below, and angled so they would come in at forty five degree angles, inherently faster than her own whirling strike at his shin, as the strikes were both thrusts, and thus a faster motion that was easier to execute, harder to block, and given her fancy spin maneuver, almost downright impossible to avoid as her back, at this point was turned. Nilus' secondary blades, or the ones held in an ice-pick grip, were angled at an equal and opposite 45-degree angle, guarding his lower extremities, as well as his head, while the primary blade covered most of his torso from a counter attack. While it would not immediately guarantee him impunity from any counter attack, all four blades were in sound position to guard from most possible counters given her current stance and position.

The blades were aimed at her center mass, although they were not quite centered, and thus would not immediately kill the Jedi upon penetration. If just one blade landed on it's mark, it would suffice to say that she would be out of the fight, though she would not lose her life. Should the thrusts be blocked, a simple disengagement of the primary blades would free his secondary blades for a multi-angular scissor strike, aiming to bisect the Jedi at the left hip and right shoulder.

Calpernia growled as the jedi before her threw out his force push, shifting her trajectory so she missed the branch, but she still reached to her belt and withdrew two of her vibro-knives. The branch sailed beyond her reach, and she began to lose momentum and fall towards the ground as she growled.

She threw her two vibro-knives and aimed to toss them towards Al-Ric, aiming for his shoulder and knee with either knife as she hit the ground with a thump. Calpernia wouldn't be done in by her foe, but that burst of his had knocked her initial plan away. So she reached behind herself as she grumbled, "This right here, is what's not fun..." she said, drawing her saber and igniting its crimson blade.

It had a longer handle then a standard lightsaber, and she held it in front of her in a defensive stance as she looked annoyed at Al-Ric, "Fighting with this thing sucks, you know. You can't draw blood with something that burns whatever it cuts. It cauterizes too quickly." She complained, eyes still trained on Al-Ric as she prepared to block whatever move he threw at her, or if needed, dodge out of the way.
