Feeding the War Machine OOC

Hey @RedneckLoves can you please clarify exactly where your character is in relation to everyone else? In here is fine, I just primarily want to know that so I can accurately form a response to the situation at hand.

Gotcha, so you are basically to my character's left yeah? I was thinking Dietrich was a little further back, forming a bit more of an angle, but that's not a big deal. :)

So, I'd like to bring something I've noticed to everyone's attention. If you reference the OOC posts quoted below:

the impression I came away with was that edits would be made by Gian to his post to 1) Acknowledge that my character had scrambled away simultaneously with Ben firing at the Sith, and

2) to acknowledge my attacks, namely me firing at Gian, and the fragmentation grenade that I chucked at him.

Considering these edits were not made before Ben posted, before which ample time was given, my interpretation to the rules is that these attacks autohit since they were not regarded. Am I incorrect in my interpretation?

I was going to edit them, but I waited til Richie's argument was cleared up, which it was and was gonna make the necessary edits, but Richie posted before I could do it. As far as I'm concerned, the hit was taken, but I wasn't able to make the edits.

While I believe you, if we look at what the rules assert, any and all attacks that are not noticed or regarded autohit, meaning all of those shots, and the fragmentation blast, hit your character.

Not trying to be a douche here. I've sent in a report to get GABA's viewpoint on the matter. If she is ok with you editting retroactively to indicate that, them I'll abide by it. My only thought is - it seemed to me there was a lot of time between when we came to that agreement and when richie posted. /shrugs

It really wasn't. I have work, at which Im at between 8 and 14 hours a day, and am very unavailable, a lot of the time. We made that agreement on Wednesday, but Richie still had his contests, but those were dropped. I worked that next day and was with my girlfriend on my time off. I had every intention of getting to it, but hadn't had time.

While I can empathize, I'd rather leave this up to the admins. Rules are rules mate. I don't mean to sound heartless, and whatever the ruling is just know it isn't personal. While i'm not saying you are lying in any way, that argument could be used in this situation over and over again across multiple threads. Which is why I make it a habit to edit as soon as an agreement is made, or close to it, and why I feel the rules should be observed in this instance.

If an official report has been made about it, I'd suggest just waiting for an admin's input on the subject before continuing.

There is some issues with timing. Fyre's post does a lot during RB's attack in post 11. However, that attack is shortened by the combined efforts of RNL and Gian. So Fyre's post has him, during the span of the alloted pre-interrupted post of RB's onslaught, taking cover, priming a grenade, and tossing it at Gian. Now, due RB's shots being interrupted and such, that is shortened, however Gian is still staying in that present location for a few seconds after knocking RB over to deflect the remaining shots, gloat, and then prep for a jump (as his post 14 details him willing the Force to his feet/legs). As such, there still would be time for the grenade to be tossed. I am ruling that the grenade detonates just as Gian begins jumping. Remember that frag grenades employ shrapnel so there's that to consider as well.

Admin Ruling: The fragmentation grenade was ignored, from a certain point of view. The jump could have helped get away from it, but the sequence of events and timing do not allow for it, per the actions of Gian's post. The grenade detonates just after Gian begins to jump toward the light fixture; ultimately, damage will be inflicted by the fragmentation grenade, due to the force of the explosion and its shrapnel. The force of the explosion interrupts the jump to the light fixture. To simplify, the actions post-jump in post #14 are nulled (due to being countered/interrupted) and damage is inflicted onto Gian's character. Gian will be severely injured due to the proximity of the blast. Internal bleeding likely occurring, so medical attention as soon as possible recommended. Gian's character is incapacitated and unlikely to contribute further to the thread. He has lost mobility and basically at this point is a decoration.

Due to a report not requesting the validity of Sigrun's shot at RB is not being reviewed. I will also note that unless the participants desire RB to change his post, RB is still throwing a second grenade at Gian. I will note that it is not set in stone as RNL has not yet posted and still has a chance to save Gian from the second grenade (i.e. shooting it, telekinetically knocking it away or back at RB, etc.).

@RedneckLoves @Gian Greydragon i am willing to edit my post to just use a stun gun to take down gian's character so he can simply be knocked out and later healed so he can survive.

But that is up to you guys, I am willing not to kill anyone as that is never my objective, unless your name is @Deviant

Hey I just learn it seems to be the trend that once you're character dies you join the group that killed said character, so please dev don't let a jedi kill you, we don't need no scrubs. (<3 u)

He did mention something about 'if participants don't request that you edit.' which implies we could request it. So i think you are good man.

@RedneckLoves You're up red! Forgot to tag you in the IC post so I'm doing it here. :)

Due to it being well over 48 hours since my post IC, the rules state that my attacks autohit. In the spirit of cooperation, i have edited my post to use stun bolts instead of regular charges, in the hopes we can capture her rather then kill her. A report has been submitted for an official ruling.
