Stormtrooper Corps Ranks
Stormtrooper Corps Ranks
The Stormtrooper Corps (STC) is a branch of the Imperium's Military forces, operating alongside the organized Imperial armies, naval forces, and intelligence, although operates independently and is considered the Imperium's elite special forces division. Unlike the rest of the military, which falls under the command of the Warmaster, the Corps fall under the direct command of the High Marshall, who is often appointed by the Dark Lord himself.
The Corps were first formed centuries ago under the Galactic Emperor Palpatine, out of what was the Grand Army of the Old Republic, which was made up of clones of Jango Fett. Under Palpatine, the corps became made up of more than just clones, eventually being made up of the conscripted humans for the Imperial Military. Under the Fel Empire and subsequent Krayt Empire, the Stormtrooper Corps was disbanded, merging with the Imperial Army, however, elite units such as the 501st still remained.
Upon the Sith takeover, and Darth Exodeus' rise to the throne, the Corps was revived. In this incarnation, the Corps was meant to be made up of the elite troopers of the Imperial Military forces, with the best of the best taking their place in the legendary 501st Legion, also known as the “Fist of the Imperium”. Stormtroopers often were sent into battle with the rest of the Imperial Military, however, several legions of Stormtroopers were sent into battle on their own.

Training
Before admission into the Stormtrooper Corps, individual members must first either have to be recognized as distinguished soldiers enlisted in either the Army or Naval branches of the Imperial Military forces, or be noticed by a high ranking Stormtrooper and allowed into the four year intensive training course. Once admission begins, STC initiates undergo two years of intensive training programs, combat simulations, and the occasional quelling of small uprisings. All corpsmen received re-educationary skills, such as retraining in the basics, weapons handling, marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, and other essentials to more adamantly engrave in them perfection as a soldier. They are also taught and trained in special tactics, from guerrilla warfare to covert infiltration and espionage to intelligence recon to surgical strikes to heavy assault blitz maneuvers. In addition to standard training regimen, Stormtroopers are trained for specialized warfare, all of these ensuring that the corpsmen of the STC are the elite of the Imperium.
Command Structure
Stormtrooper Major
Stormtrooper Majors were among the most distinguished of the Stormtrooper Corps, and were recognized as leaders among the STC. Military officers that have displayed admirable leadership qualities and superiority as infantry units, Stormtrooper Majors presided over the more regular troops of the STC, and received their orders directly from the high command, known as Stormtrooper Command.
Stormtrooper Captain
The right hands of their direct superiors, Stormtrooper Captains were the assistant officers to their commanders. Trained to maintain the strictest of order, Stormtrooper Captains filled the role of surrogate Commander, should their current commander fall in death without an immediate replacement, or otherwise be incapacitated. Stormtrooper Captains rarely, though, maintain this authority for very long.

Stormtrooper Lieutenant
Stormtrooper Lieutenants were the junior officers of the Stormtrooper Corps, and were commanders of Stormtrooper platoons. In keeping the STC divisions organized, Stormtrooper Lieutenants were charged with keeping order among the organized units, which in turn kept the entire legions organized.
Stormtrooper Sergeant
Sergeants are considered to be the "Gods" of the Stormtrooper Corps. Many believe that it's the best rank in the chain of command to be. Troopers who have attained the rank of Sergeant often have more than one specialization, making them perfect leaders among smaller squads for hard hits in small areas.
Stormtrooper Corporal
Corporals are the backbone of the Corps. As non-commissioned officers within the STC, they hold a leadership billet and perform most of the small unit tactics and maneuvers that win the Corps' battles. It is at the rank of Corporal that STC soldiers are allowed a joint position on the general Imperium Military Roster as commissioned Lieutenants.
Stormtrooper Private
Although identical in name to their counterparts in the Imperial Military, Stormtrooper Privates are far from neophytes, having fully completed their Stormtrooper training and given that, among those who are not put through specialized training, only the best of the enlisted officers of the Imperium are accepted into the STC. Instead, this rank represents the position of a standard, but nonetheless elite soldier of the Stormtrooper Corps. Many times, Stormtroopers of this rank choose to be addressed by their rank in the Imperial Military, or prefer to simply be addressed as Stormtroopers.
Stormtrooper Recruit
Although a demeaning term, a Stormtrooper Recruit is a no less an elite soldier than a Stormtrooper Private. The only difference between a Recruit and a Private is training, as a Stormtrooper Recruit has not yet completed the Stormtrooper basic training, which is different than the basic training all Imperium Soldiers are put through upon enlisting. Often, Stormtrooper Recruit's are mockingly referred to as 'red shirts' given that their armor is marked with a red stripe to indicate to the casual observer their recruit status.

High Command
Stormtrooper Command
Stormtrooper Command (also called Stormtrooper High Command, Strategic Command, STRATCOM, or S-COM) is the title of the militaristic nerve center of the Stormtrooper Corps. A select group of highly esteemed individuals, all of which were former corpsmen of the STC, it is Stormtrooper Command who commands the corps and directs the corpsmen to carry out the will of their Dark Lord. Members of Stormtrooper Command found incompetent would be demoted to rejoin the other corpsmen or would be executed. The head of Stormtrooper Command is called, and holds the rank of High Marshal, and is also overseen by several Brigadiers and Colonels. The High Marshal is hand picked by the Dark Lord, and is independent of the authority of figures within the Imperial Navies and Armies, answering only to the Dark Lord himself.
Dark Lord
As the embodiments of the the New Sith Imperium itself, the Dark Lord in consequence has direct personal control over the Crops and can dictate their actions according to his will. In this way, the STC is very much like a private army, able to disembark and take action without the consent or needed authority of any other authoritative figure within the Sith Imperium's Military forces, including even the Warmaster himself.
High Marshal
The High Marshal, sometimes addressed as the Grand Marshal, is the foremost military commander and head of the Stormtrooper Corps' High Command. Despite being a separate military entity from the main forces of the Imperial Military, the High Marshal is a specially appointed rank, able to be bestowed only by the Sith Empress. In turn, the High Marshal answers only to the Empress herself, and coupled with his independent status from the main military command and the strength of the STC, the High Marshal possesses a rank akin to the Grand Admiral and Grand General, and although inferior in rank, is exempt from the direct authority of the Sith Military Warmaster.
Sith General
A Sith General is the Highest attainable rank for a Sith within the Imperium military, and the only attainable rank within the Stormtrooper Corps. They may lead any division for any reason at execution from the Dark Lord of the Sith. They do not lead any one division specifically, but are called upon as needed to lead soldiers through major conflicts.
Corps Commander
The Corps Commander, a prestigious and powerful position within the Stormtrooper Corps, is specifically designed to be the Commander of a full Division within the 909th Theater. The Corps Commander is in charge of ensuring his division is running smoothly and correctly, commanding his division when the entire division is sent out, and choosing the commanders to lead when a small group within the Division is needed.
Colonel
Colonel is the initially received rank within the STC High Command structure, and thus is the most junior. Colonels are assigned to their senior Corps Commanders or Sith Generals as assistants and officers in their absence, and are assigned one to each Corps Commander.
