Six holograms lit up the back room of Nightfall. Each hologram showed a building or storefront representing a place of business in the Corellian District. Alais designed this room to allow Five Syndicate members a terminal to access the holonet and serve as a portal for slicers. Zentripoli was sitting back in his hovering droid, rubbing his chin. With a low hum, the ZDT-06 “Boost” Transport Droid slid across the air observing each of the six holograms displayed in front of the others in the room. The small Columi mused outloud, “After extensive research, it has been determined that there exist six places of business that will inhibit our economical progress in the Corellian District. I believe our strategy should be to assess these six places, taking into account their financial portfolio, who their customer base is, what support they have in the way of underworld protection, and the disposition of the proprietor. Obviously, the goal is to shut down these businesses and control the legitimate droid market in this area. This is of particular interest to me…”
Pause.
Zentripoli looks over to Alais. The droid he is sitting on turns seamlessly with him. As he speaks, the transport droid’s massive manipulator arms seem to gesture slightly as the Columi speaks, as if the droid was an extension of the alien. With a small smile, he states to Alais, “Of particular interest for you? The sixth one on the list called Sun & Star Used Droids. The structure is has a large footprint with a myriad of bells and whistles that could be an exceptional place of business for you and your designs for Nightfall Technologies. I have no other information on this place yet, but we will know more soon.”
His eyes sweep across the room, barely able to tell if they have moved at all due to the pupils, irises, and sclera all being the hue of pitch black. Zentripoli continues, “So we need to do our due diligence and find out all we can on the following businesses: The Leaky Actuator, Vujo’s Engineering Marvels, Razor’s Edge Technologies,
Rori’s Droid Bazaar, Waves of Technology, and Sun & Stars Used Droids…”
