BIOGRAPHY
Rhea was born in 119 ABY to a pair of freight runners, her parents owning a small shipping vessel and their own company to go along with it, specializing in express deliveries of important goods from the Core to the Mid and Outer Rims. Over the next several years, they would become established as one of the fastest growing businesses in Coronet City; unfortunately, this also attracted some undesired attention. Some of the local gangs began pushing for the Nadal family to pay protection, something Ordin, Rhea's father, steadfastly refused to do, knowing it would compromise his business, most of which came from VIP's specifically avoiding the eyes of local crime lords. When Ordin tried to get law enforcement involved, one of the gangs was quick to send a message; by bombing the family business and home, killing Rhea's mother and father and leaving her homeless.

Only eight years old at the time, and without any extended family to speak of, Rhea was left to fend for herself on the cold streets of Coronet. Unable to go to the authorities, not knowing if she could trust them, she hid in the back alleys and dark corners of the metropolis. At first she begged for food and credits, and managed a meager survival, though as she grew more dirty and bruised, handouts quickly became hard to find. Hardly half a year past, she had resorted to stealing for food, and it wouldn't be long until she was involved in more then just petty theft. In a sick irony, by the age of ten, she came to work for several of the areas gangs, one of which was responsible for her parents murder; not knowing which one it was, she hid her identity and passed herself off as yet another expendable street urchin - which was not hard to do. In addition to her petty crimes, she would become a message runner, a go-between for the various criminal elements, and even an occasional smuggler for small packages. Fights were common, beatings even more so, and every day quickly turned into a mad race for survival. It was a hard life, but at the same time, it honed her body and mind, and instead of letting it break her, she seemed to grow stronger with each passing day.

It would all come to a head shortly after Rhea's twelfth birthday, when she accidentally marked a Jedi Master as a target for pick-pocketing. The attempt failed badly, needless to say, and resulted in a mad dash through the streets and alleyways, and though the child almost evaded her pursuer, she was eventually caught. Rather then turn her in, however, the Master gave her a choice; a chance at a new life. They told her that she was something called a 'force sensitive', and that much of what she considered simple intuition was actually her using 'the Force' to reach out to her surroundings for help and information. They offered her a chance to leave Corellia and join them on a foreign jungle moon, to study with others like herself in the hopes of one day becoming a Jedi. She knew the word, Jedi; a word that evoked myths of an order of heroic knights, or a tale of arrogance brought low, depending on whom you asked. But she'd never thought they were anything other then a bogeyman, a story told to children more gullible then she. She told the 'Jedi' as much, but they only smiled, and reiterated their offer. And as much as it sounded like nonsense, it was a chance to get away from Corellia. From constant fear of death, from painful memories... Swallowing her reservations, she agreed- and would be brought to Ajan Kloss to learn and train.

PERSONALITY
Brash, headstrong and often impatient, Rhea is far from the typical ideal of a Jedi. But for all her shortcomings, she does have one virtue; she herself is entirely aware of them. While not the smartest student, she is the most eager pupil. While not fully in control of her passions, she desires inner peace. And while not always the most friendly, she is always quick to offer a helping hand to those that need it. Born into a world where the darkest nature of sentient beings were often on display, being both victim and perpetrator of it, Rhea has developed an extremely strong sense for justice, and is not the sort to idly sit by and watch while others are wronged or forced to suffer, seeking to protect the weak, heal the wounded, and be there for those who feel alone. If her fiery zeal could be tempered, she would probably make for an ideal Knight...

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Force Abilities

Rhea has had limited success thus far in calling upon the force; she is able to push and pull objects of roughly her own weight or lower , and seems to have a natural gift for force jumping, but has otherwise made little progress.

Lightsaber Combat

Considerably more progress has been made with the most famous tool of the Order; Rhea showed skill wielding a lightsaber, already being fairly proficient with a vibroblade and practical combat before arriving at the Temple. She quickly grasped the fundamentals of the Shii-Cho form, and moved on to begin learning the fourth form, Ataru.

Skills

Rhea shows promise as a pilot, having received some minimal education in the piloting and maintenance for the few years she and her parents were together, a skill she continued to work on even as a criminal, occasionally being asked to steal parts from ships or cause a swoop-bike to suffer a 'malfunction'. Her days as a thief have given her some abilities with sleight of hand, as well as bolstering her agility and strength. She continues to train her body even more rigorously as a Padawan, not afraid to earn a few bumps and bruises.

EQUIPMENT
Having not yet constructed her own lightsaber, Rhea primarily uses a vibrosword for most encounters, though she occasionally employs a Glie-44 for ranged fights. She carries around a small kit, consisting of a comlink, medpak and several days rations, and generally dresses lightly and unarmored, her own agility being her preferred defense.
