AHAH!

Sir Beans the First, who's mother was named Molly Murder Mittens, was victorious! She puffed up her chest victoriously, although there was a problem…. she's a cat, and so once the other cat started running between the legs of Sith, disappearing then reappearing momentarily and quickly from her view, Sir Bean’s prey drive kicked in.

Her pupils became small as she flicked her tail side to side then gave chase, stopping near a male Sith (@Akheron) in a violent slide so she kicked up some sand with her tiny paws before she came to a stop. She got the other cat (@Darasuum) in her view and hissed again, swiping her paw in the air in its general direction. Unfortunately, Sir Beans was not close to the other cat, only the male Sith, so if the male Sith (@Akheron) didn't move or do something he'd get clawed on his leg by her. Sir Beans was just a cat, she could only pay attention to so much going on around her!

As he was waiting for an answer, Karai took note as he saw the loth-cats approaching the stands and had now sprinted into the box they were in with those remaining. He saw as several gave gasps or looks of annoyance as the loth-cat, Sir Beans darted between them becoming a right menace. Although in some ways he found it endearing until at least the animal was about to claw his leg.

Then he became annoyed himself as he looked down, the two loth-cats squaring off, and was forced to act to prevent being clawed. He lifted his leg, attempting to be in time enough that the swipe missed him as he used the Force to give the loth-cat a light shove away. He gave Cheriss a look as if to say, looks like you have the same problem as the other mechanical loth-cat, Mr McFlickermits apparently was peering out from under her legs.

He tried shooing Mr Beans away.

"Get away from me! I'm not a scratch post! Shoo!!" he said.

Cheriss and Karai were in the same boat, she figured based on his response. Though still practicing with Juyo, neither had gotten a chance to use it just yet. She nodded.

“I see. Well, I’m in a similar—” She cut herself off, her brow creasing into a frown when she felt something brush by her lower legs. When she looked down, she saw that apparently the droid cat had decided to use her as cover. That would mean…

"Get away from me! I'm not a scratch post! Shoo!!"

The loth-cat was indeed nearby, and it had apparently mistaken Karai to be its target. With an amused smile while her companion tried to shoo the loth-cat away, Cheriss looked at the cat beside her legs, stepping aside so that it had a clear path to the other.

“Now’s your chance, dear! While she’s distracted,” she urged the cat.

Azar’s entire body stiffened when he heard Trael’s shameless words. He wasn’t accustomed to anyone speaking so boldly to him anymore. Vossari was off conquering the aquatic worlds and his wives certainly didn’t have the guts. The words sent shockwaves through him, and he had to fight to keep from growing flustered. He felt Trael’s hot breath against his ear, his entire body feeling as if it were ignited.

“Just shoes, thanks,” He managed to blurt out, his voice fortunately not cracking this time. Azar’s focus returned to the fight, watching as the combat grew heated and they clashed against one another. It was getting brutal and Azar guessed one of them - likely the Nautolan - would die. He wasn’t pleased with her overconfidence, but she had proven herself in the arena several times over.

“Enough!” His voice boomed across the arena, commanding the fighters to stop. He glanced down at the combatants, his golden gaze gleaming.

“You have both fought well, but I would prefer you save dying for when it actually matters..such as the Ziost offense I will be leading a week from now,” He stated curtly. He needed every one in top shape for that and not waving their proverbial dicks around.

“Champion Jinyeva, you have earned my favor,” Azar said, “I will teach you in an element of your choosing,” He said. With that, he gave a nod to others before turning to leave. Azar’s gaze briefly flicked to Trael, silently asking the other man to join him.

Karai was briefly watching where the loth-cat, Mr Beans might go even as he spotted Cheriss being a little mischievous. Attempting to sow more chaos by having the other mechanical loth-cat, Mr Mr McFlickermits continue the assault under his chair. However before anything future could ensue at least for him, he looked up briefly to see the fight and took note as his king, Arcanos brought a close to the fighting. It appeared to be a draw this time.

It surprised him somewhat, perhaps the witch had a use afterall despite how creepy she seemed.

Given it was brought to an end, he saw no further reason to remain and so spoke to Cheriss. "It appears things have come to a end, a surprising draw. I guess the witch is more useful than I thought." he considered "Looks like there will be no more, SonY think I 'lo be leaving. You can join me if you want for a drink or stay here. Up to you."

He said before bowing to all remaining and making his own departure, in some ways he was relieved to get away from the squabbling animals, although he waited a moment to see if Cheriss decided to join him or not first.

Qû’jara's lifted arm intercepted the forking tongues of electricity as Serene deftly manipulated her previous spell into another. Her limb was savagely electrocuted for just an instant before Darth Arcanos' command stopped the fight, falling limply to her side.

Nonetheless the Nautolan's killing intent evaporated like something that never existed at all before the Dark Lord's command. As if the rest of the world simply faded to black, she spun towards Darth Arcanos and dropped to a knee, bearing the agony of her left arm stoically, right fist buried in the sand to support herself as she breathed heavily.

The encounter with Serene lasted seconds, but she had reached deeply into the Force throughout both spars and exhaustion settled heavily upon as the roar of adrenaline began to subside. Qû had proven her value as a warrior.

There was time to heal and prepare for the campaign on Ziost. The frozen sister of Korriban suffered the terrible infection of Ma’var Sadow and his heretic tribe, and it would be Qû’jara's extreme pleasure to destroy them.

She sensed perhaps she would have maximized her rise in status by accepting the honor of defeating Drane and that the ploy of her open challenge before the upper echelons of the Sith had been an overstep.

"Your word is my will, my lord, and your favor my greatest glory," she said, careful not to let any hint of pain creep into her voice. Then she collected her things, carrying her wounds with warrior pride as she bowed courteously to her opponents and all present, and retired to her chambers, to heal and contemplate what boon she might request from Darth Arcanos after the campaign on Ziost.

She must choose wisely what to ask of the Dark Lord's power, for such opportunities did not come often.

With the Sith’s duel being ended by Darth Arcanos and a generous prize being given to the Nautolan, Cheriss saw that other Sith were starting to file out. The Ziost offense? That would be a better place to focus the strength of the Sith rather than turning it on each other. Maybe it could even be an opportunity for some.

But once she’d pondered that thought, her attention went to Karai as he told her that he was leaving. He even offered a drink, and who was she to refuse that? There wasn’t much more here anyway except for the two cats, and she certainly didn’t want to get in the middle of them again.

She was rather fond of these pants.

“That sounds like a plan to me. We could even start planning for Ziost, if you’re as interested as I am.” With a slight smile, Cheriss turned away from the balcony and followed Karai out.

There were few things that Serene would stop for in pursuit of her desires. But she had learned a lot from the last time she had visited Korriban. Ayomi's loss of their tail and hand for example was one lesson the sorceress had learned from. When Azar's voice reached her ears Serene ceased her electrical attack, lowering the extended arm that had channeled the lightning from earlier. She spared her enemy from any further danger and prevented the expenditure of more of her reserves.

The witch turned her head to see the pureblood king give the closest thing to an invitation she had heard but it was not just directed towards her. Serene knew not to be flattered. But it was followed by a personal offer towards Qu'jara. The golden eyes of the sorceress flicked back to her former opponent with an indifferent expression.

Serene was not wholly satisfied for a number of reasons. It would have been more impressive if the witch had been the first to fight Qu'jara even if she felt the outcome would have been the same. Beating a weakened enemy was hardly something to brag about. The fight had concluded before reaching a satisfying ending but it was not something Serene felt the need to pursue any further. Not now at least.

Serene would have to accept what she learned from the duel and the other Champions. The near-human would have liked the opportunity to be trained by the Darth however she knew to be careful what she wished for. It could be taken any number of ways with its own sets of risks. Darth Arcanos's direct invitation towards Qu'jara felt like it may have been a slight against her but it also was comforting to think the Nautolan had more room for improvement than herself. In the end Serene pushed such thoughts from her mind. She could focus her attention on more important subjects until the conquest of Ziost came about.

The sorceress stood silently in the ring, waiting for the monarch to leave after his declaration. Then Qu'jara did, first to exit the ring voluntarily. Serene was the last to remain. Some would consider that a victory, albeit a petty and inconsequential one. Perhaps it was foreshadowing.

"Rupert..." She called out her droid's name coolly and at a volume loud enough to reach him wherever he was in the balconies. "...come along dear. Playtime's over." Serene's hand deactivated the electroblade still in her right hand before apathetically letting it fall inert to the sandy ground. The same hand then reached up and dusted off the grains that had accumulated on the opposite shoulder from one of Qu'jara's earlier attacks. "we have work to do."

The C4T prepared to pounce, getting low to the ground as he realized his new position was noticed. He twitched in his stance as Sir Beans drew closer still. The people he was using as cover served their purpose and one even made an opening for him. How fortuitous! What's more, the organic cat risked drawing the ire of one of the Sith between them.

The small feline droid was ready to leap on the wild-eyed loth-cat but was stopped short as he heard the voice of his master. Mr McFlickerwiskers' claws dug into the ground preventing him from getting within swiping distance of his feline rival. He was confident he would have gotten a good strike in, mostly thanks to the female champion's provided opening more than anything, but it would have been satisfying to boop the loth-cat on the nose or bite her tail.

Not wasting any time, Rupert McFlickermits I scampered away. The droid cat did his best to be evasive in his running, not wanting to draw Sir Beans's attention any further. He needed to meet back up with his owner or risk getting on her bad side. Hopefully she was not in a foul mood. The C4T was not keen on receiving another memory wipe but was at Serene's mercy all the same.
