DESCRIPTION
A modification stemming from a secret project that originated within the Tarkin Initiative during the heyday of the Galactic Empire, torture packages became popular among crime lords looking to turn unsuspecting protocol droids into deadly instruments of torture and murder. These packages modified the droid's hands into a type of multi-tool, which could then be employed during interrogation. Their hands could be modified to include up to ten tools (five on each hand), which included knives, scalpels, torches, buzzsaws and syringes that emerged from the droid's fingers when in use, but were otherwise hidden to conceal the nature of the droid's modifications from law enforcement.

The metal tools were crafted from durasteel and were powered by the droid's internal power cell. Because of this, protocol droids modified in this fashion experienced a 24 standard hour reduction on their battery life (meaning, for instance, that droids who could remain active for 72 hours without recharging would now need to be recharged every 48 hours) in order to feed power to the power tools. The syringes needed to be filled with outside sources of poisons or medications. All tools were short-ranged, reaching only as far as the droid itself could reach, which typically necessitated that the droid's victim be strapped down.

These torture packages were specifically designed to be fitted to the hands of protocol droids and could not be fitted to battle droids or other droids already built for combat or assassination.

LEGALITY
Restricted. Droid torture packages were highly illegal in most civilized systems. Being found with a droid modified in this way typically subjected one to imprisonment and the droid to impoundment.

INTENT
To create an upgrade for those seeking to use interrogation droids as NPCs, or for protocol droid PCs (maybe as one who had been modified into an assassin droid), to give them a little more lethality than they would typically possess. Also because I really love Triple Zero.

Why I'm not surprised you decided to implement this modification for the poor protocol droids? Lol
