DESCRIPTION​

The Power 5 blaster pistol is a hand weapon produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., one of the Galaxy's premier small arms manufacturers. One of the many knock-offs of BlasTech Industries DL-44 heavy blaster pistol, the Power 5 has some of its inspiration's features, but has a design constrained by Imperial-era arms restrictions.

The Power 5 is a solidly made weapon, about 1.1 kilograms in weight and around 30 centimeters in length. The weapon can fire both medium bolts and stun blasts, and has a capacity of 75 shots with a standard power pack. Range is 40 meters, and though the Power 5 is not equipped with a scope from the factory, it can easily be retrofitted with one.

Power 5s are still reasonably common even decades after the design's introduction, and can be found in service to all strata of society. It is a standard military sidearm, a police weapon, a civilian self defense pistol and even a gangster's gun.

LEGALITY​

Legal. Ownership of blaster pistols is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, however openly carrying such a weapon in public might be on more "civilized" worlds. On less civilized worlds, it still might draw unwanted scrutiny.
