DESCRIPTION​

The P-0-TC, or "Panop Droid," is a small, spherical droid manufactured by HuntSpec Automation, a specialty firm which manufactures droids and related equipment for bounty hunters and law enforcement. Designed as a seeker, the P-0-TC is essentially a hovering holocam connected to a rather single-minded droid brain. The droid can be programmed to pursue a specific individual, and can be set either to favor stealth or to follow openly. Panop Droids are notably relentless when pursuing an assigned target, and are difficult to shake, but not impossible. They can also be set to monitor a specific area.

Panop Droids are not armed with any ranged weapons, but have a number of useful tools at their disposal nonetheless. This class of seeker is equipped with a small manipulator arm, a circular saw and a computer probe, all located behind a series of panels located around the central photoreceptor. For tracking its quarry, the droid is equipped with a motion sensor and sonar; the central photoreceptor doubles as a spotlight and a hologram recorder/projector, allowing the droid to play back anything it has seen. If ordered to subdue a target, the P-0-TC is equipped with a spark projector in its manipulator claw, which can inflict light stun damage upon contact. They can remain in contact with organics and other droids through the use of an integrated comlink, which can transmit holographic images as well as the unit's native droidspeak.

Panop Droids are used by bounty hunters and law enforcement to track and subdue criminals and other fugitives; they are often used in conjunction with remotes, which they can coordinate. Of note, some particularly adventurous and/or relentless journalists have been known to use Panop Droids as personal hologram recorders.
