NAME: Giran Latt

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes with Padawan training
APPEARANCE:
Giran is a Young mirialan padawan with verdant green skin. He has a strong jaw short brown hair (with the traditional Padawan ponytail) and soft green eyes. Due to his recent training and mentality to improve for others Giran is now has a somewhat athletic build. He also has the characteristic face tattoos of his people and those versed in their ways would know they expressed his kindness. No one would call Giran ugly but he is unlikely to stand out in a crowd, a very ordinary looking mirialan.
ATTRIBUTES:
Physically Giran is nothing to write home about he's not particularly fast or well constituted. Due to recent training he has gained above average strength and He does seem to last longer in stamina training than the average padawan but thats more to do with strength of will than any innate stamina. His major strength comes from his ability to out think and out position an opponent, as such he has had moderate success when practicing the soresu form and could even be called proficient. Apart from his success in the soresu and now niman Giran seems to under perform in other lightsaber forms compared to his class mates and is woefully poor at any agility courses he is required to partake in. As his classmates put it "if Giran has to move his feet he'll probably fail".
On the flip side however Giran is a model student in the more cerebral pursuits. His grasp of history is impressive, feeling the connection he has to the force comes easy to him and he has a great deal of empathy for his fellow students. Giran also has a brilliant and tactical mind which he attempts to use to overcome his other shortcomings. This is however mired slightly by his indecision and overall meek demeanour. As such, Giran rarely takes the initiative and will often acquiesce others ideas. This indecision is further inflamed by the strong personalities that are so often his classmates.
PERSONALITY:
Giran is a meek and quiet boy; not that he doesn't enjoy the company of others only that he finds it difficult to actually reach out to others. He can often be found alone in quiet contemplation, watching old holovids or consoling the younger padawans on a bad day. Despite his meek outer appearance Giran has surprisingly little sympathy for himself and will often push himself to complete exhaustion, this is especially apparent if someone else is relying on him. The well being of others means everything to him and he will neglect himself so that others will be happy. This martyr like behavior can be extremely worrying to the more experienced Jedi as it can leave Giran feeling frustrated and angry if he ever fails someone.
BIOGRAPHY:
Giran was born to a military family on the outer rim planet of Miral. His father -Lucal- was a major in the Miral defence fleet. He was a stern man but was not often home so Giran was raised by his mother. She was a kind woman and taught Giran the need for love and instilled in him a burning passion to protect others. During one of Lucal’s brief visits home- through complete happenstance -a Jedi came upon the family. He informed the family that their son was gifted and could, with their blessing, become a Jedi. Lucal flew into a rage saying that no son of his would be a filthy Jedi. Not long after that Giran was sent to boarding school. He spent most of his adolescent and his teenage years there and they were hell. The bullying began almost immediately as the more athletic kid took advantage of his meek demeanour. His grades suffered as a result with his only stand out subject being military history. Around his sixteenth birthday a Jedi visited the academy to provide the students with a history of their order, in an attempt to keep relations with Miral amicable. After the lecture was over Giran stowed himself on the Jedi’s ship and by the time he arrived at the temple it was to late to turn him away. Now approaching the end of his Padawan training Giran’s anxiety of the outside world is growing.

Moderately skilled in both force telekinesis and healing but wants to learn more force abilities.
