PERSONALITY
Despite his difficult past, Galen has managed to mold himself into a good-natured young man. He's great at making friends and tries his best to reassure them when they're down in the dumps. He's honest to a fault, something that can get him in trouble if he doesn't know he was supposed to keep a secret, and he's passionate about what he stands for to the bitter end.
In normal conversation, he's very modest and well-mannered but has a witty side of him that he lets loose regularly. During training or meditation, he tends to get restless, as he isn't the most patient of individuals, which leads into a major trait of his: He's an escapist. Ever since the incident, he feels the need to escape from uncomfortable situations as he deems necessary, and he's very good at it given how many times he's tried to run away from individuals who are trying to help him.
Overall, his emotions aren't the most stable and he can be set off by things that may seem minor to others, something he's been trying to work on as of late.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in 117 ABY, Galen is a male Hapan brought up on a small homestead in the southern hemisphere of Dantooine. His parents were subsistence farmers who raised him into a fine young man who would regularly help around the farm. When he was around twelve-years-old, his innate force-sensitivity was discovered and he was encouraged by his family to develop it as best as he could, something he'd use to help him lift hay bales and seed the fields.
After his fifteenth birthday, his home was sacked by a passing band of marauders who abducted his family and sold into slavery. Galen eventually ended up somewhere in Syndicate space, specifically as a slave to the Hutts - who, instead of putting him to work as a labourer, threw him into an arena to fight for their amusement. Afraid of dying in the pit, he spent the next three years as a gladiator until he was purchased by a member of Crimson Dawn and managed to escape while in transit.
On the run, he encountered an old man who identified him as a force-sensitive told him to seek out the Jedi Order. Hesitant at first, he soon acquiesced when he realized that proper training would make it easier to find his parents and save them from the clutches of the Syndicates. A newly-received padawan, Galen is still skittish around other members of the Jedi Order, but one day - he'll be normal again.

ABILITIES
Combat - In order to survive the arena, Galen regularly trained on how to use a vibroblade and has become quite adept at using it. He can hold his own in a fight, and after a few weeks of trial and error, knows how to use a blaster if necessary.
The Force - Galen has a good connection with the Force and has managed to sort out the basic abilities like general telekinesis. He's just starting to figure out physical enhancement powers like jumping, but he's still a padawan for now.
Animal Handling - A former farmhand, Galen is exceptional at befriending and taking care of most common wildlife and domestic animals. This doesn't mean he knows how to ride a rancor, so don't ask!
