DESCRIPTION​

The DLT-20A longblaster is a long-range weapon produced by BlasTech Industries, one of the Galaxy's premier small arms manufacturers. Originally designed for the Galactic Empire, the DLT-20A was the weapon of choice for the Empire's sniper corps, and remains a popular weapon for sharpshooters into the present day.

The DLT-20A is a simple weapon, slow firing, equipped with a computerized magnification scope for precision targeting and effective out to an impressive 450 meters. The weapon can fire 30 shots from a standard power pack, although given that it is a sniper's weapon, most beings who use it will not need anywhere near that much ammunition. It inflicts medium damage, and lacks a stun setting, but again, most snipers would have no use for such a setting even if it were available.

The DLT-20A in the present day is still found in military service, and it is occasionally used by civilians as well. Mercenaries, bounty hunters and criminals are by far the most common wielders of this weapon, however.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Sharpshooter weapons such as the DLT-20A require extensive licensing on many, and are banned outright on many more. Toting one around in public on any civilized world is a good way to wind up in jail, in either case.
