Del Nordo

Sector Rangers Ranger Kel Dor Male 33
Home: Chandrilla/CoruscantForce Sensitive: no
Art Source Theme

Character Information

    • Height = 1.85 meters (6ft 1in)
    • Weight = 95 Kg ( 210lbs)
    • Skin = raw sienna
    • Eyes = pupil-less grey

Notable Characteristics: Grey/black rebreather and a goggles, simple and spartan by design a few small scratches line up with light scarring on his face. It contains an input feed for liquid consumption, and another for his spice/ tabac vaporizer.

Del usually wears a long bantha leather coat, with a tall, fur lined collar. Unless specifically required, he NEVER wears his badge where it is visible.

  • Corruption is a state of being.

Del grew up the son of a senate lobbyist for tech interests, and he loved it. Everything was exciting and shiny, he had friends and means to get up to every sort of no good you may want; but his greatest blessing was naïveté. Like anyone with a hint of privilege, he refused to question it for years...until he didn’t. It started with his friends. Children of politicians and syndicate leaders faciliting tings they didn’t understand as “harmless fun”. Hanging out in the lowest of lowlife clubs, acting like little dukes.

Once Del got a whiff of what he might really be involved in, it was too late. While he was enjoying the spoils, his mother’s professional relationships had gotten complicated. She barked down the wrong tree and lost a lot of people’s money. Already there was pressure being put on Del; so he emancipated himself, and left his family behind.

The next few years were rough. Del didn’t have many skills except his shattered arrogance and being a mediocre pilot. He took whatever work he could as long as it was mostly honest. For the first time in his life, Del struggled to survive. He learned to keep his head low, and pay close attention to the world around him. More than a few licks came his way, but eventually he found a sense of direction after he accidentally helped catch a bounty from a bar he was working at in the rim. His eye for detail helped break the case, and the Sector Ranger he assisted sent him some recruitment information. Del’s been toeing the thin line of justice ever since.

  • Unlike most Kel Dor, Del is what you might call... flexible. He knows the difference between right and wrong, and has learned to acknowledges the law can be both; but that doesn’t make him merciful, just jaded. This galaxy has a greasy underbelly bigger than a Hutt’s rear end, and twice as rancid. If someone’s gotta crawl under there and drag up every shred of decency that’s still smothering under the putrid weight of crime, might as well be Del.

Even if he can be a bit self destructive, he takes his work deathly seriously. A look of hope and gratitude from a previously defenseless bystander in an unjust galaxy is all that holds his soul together. He is patient, observant, and has a thirst for the truth; every bit a practiced detective with the secret hope of atonement. The conscience he managed to fish out of whatever Corellian sewer has a real problem with overcompensating, and Del often sticks his beak, and his heart, in situations he could just let alone.

Though he keeps lodging on coruscant, he prefers to drift when he can. This keeps him living simple, and better focused on getting the job done. For all his years away from it, Del still has a weakness for material things and flashy activities he does his best to suppress, with middling success.

  • Del’s been at this a long time.

He is a competent pugilist, pilot, and gunslinger. Or as he would say “good enough so far.”
He’s picked up a little splicing, and enough mechanical skill for ( very) patchwork maintenance on his ship.

Del is a real communicator. He knows how to pay attention, and is a natural detective, with a silver tongue when he needs it. He’s walked both sides of the tracks, and has a keen sense for what makes people tick; but falls pray the same trap as many in this line of work, and can’t switch off. Del Nordo has a bad habit of sticking his beak where its not wanted, and paying the price.
