DESCRIPTION​

The BM-664 heavy blaster rifle is a weapon produced by Blackwell Munitions, a division of the venerable Blackwell Independent Technologies which specializes in the development and manufacture of various weapon systems, ranging from small arms to heavy artillery pieces. The BM-664 could very well fall into the latter category; a large, bulky weapon, it packs a considerable wallop for a hand weapon.

The BM-664 is a heavy blaster rifle, meaning that it can deal heavy damage, either in the form of conventional blaster bolts or incapacitating stun blasts. The 664 chews through a standard power pack in 50 shots, and has a range of about 100 meters. It has considerable recoil, of course, and tends to be wielded by large, physically strong individuals in combat.

The BM-664 is a brutal weapon, capable of causing grievous injury or death with a single hit. It is used primarily by mercenaries, big game hunters and criminals; it is generally considered too over-powered for military or police service. Laws on many planets limit the legal possession of such weapons.
