Biography

Mos Eisley is a harsh environment for a child to grow up in. Despite the villainy that surrounded them on every side, Atris' aging aunt and uncle never failed to show she and her younger sister, Paloma, the love every child deserves to have and to teach them right from wrong. The young Atris had no memories of her parents, and her aunt and uncle were hesitant to share details about them.

Instead, her uncle would regale her with tales of the Jedi, the heroes who had saved the galaxy in times past. These stories never failed to catch the young girl's attention, instilling a fascination with the Jedi that would one day come to be realized. Atris’ aunt, an educated woman, was able to give both sisters a good education from home while they learned the more practical side of life from helping their uncle run his store.

Gangs were a constant in Mos Eisley, and it was common for the city's youth to turn to a life of crime. Encounters with the gangs of Mos Eisley were inevitable if you lived there long enough, and it was during one of these life-threatening encounters that Atris realized she had Force capabilities. Her aunt and uncle were supportive of her decision to leave Mos Eisley and join the Jedi Order.

The Jedi Order would open doors for Atris and allow her to travel, and most importantly it would get her away from the crime-ridden streets of Mos Eisley. Paloma, however, was not supportive of this decision and urged her sister to stay. When Atris witnessed the tears that filled her young sister's eyes and felt the intense emotion of betrayal that radiated from her, Atris knew that she could not leave. It would be wrong—it would be selfish, but the Jedi Knight sent to collect Atris had already arrived. All of her things were already packed, and her aunt and uncle were insistent that she should go.

The desire to leave the dirty, dusty streets of Mos Eisley she had been confined to her entire life proved to be a desire too hard to resist. The Jedi Order promised her a bright future, and she would not let it pass her by. With the supportive hand of a Jedi Knight placed gently upon her shoulder, fifteen year old Atris turned from her aunt and uncle, happily waving goodbye and sending her their love, and from her heartbroken, crying sister, and boarded the awaiting ship that would take her to her new life.

Atris was able to correspond with her aunt and uncle and sister from time to time. Her aunt and uncle were proud of her accomplishments and always vocalized their support of the life she had made for herself, but Paloma never truly forgave Atris for leaving her behind.

It was five long years before Atris was able to return to Mos Eisley to see her family. Correspondence from them had grown vague and short, and this, coupled with a feeling through the Force, made Atris uneasy for what awaited her. What she found was much worse than she could have imagined.

Paloma was dead. Members of the Pyke Syndicate had begun setting up shop in Mos Eisley sometime after Atris had left, and Paloma had fallen prey to their lies and become addicted to the spice they flooded the streets of Mos Eisley with. Paloma had met her end in a grimy alleyway, a package of spice in one hand and a blaster in another. Atris believed the tale her aunt and uncle told her, never questioning their words and never realizing that they had lied to her about her sister.

The young Jedi blamed herself for the death of Paloma, and she promised herself that she would do everything she could to atone for her sister’s death. For two years she served as one of the many peacekeepers in disaster zones and refugee camps, and for two years she worked tirelessly as a healer in med-centers across the Outer-Rim. Now she travels across the galaxy, quietly doing her best to heal and to help those around her, but a hidden anger festers deep within her.

Abilities

Atris is a skilled lightsaber duelist and is trained in the Force. Due to her time working in med-clinics, she is adept and specializes in Force Healing and is medically knowledgeable. Other than Galactic Basic and Binary, Atris can also speak Twi'leki, Jawaese, and Huttese.

Personality

Atris possesses a strong moral compass and an intense desire to protect those around her. She has a gentle manner about her and is quick to show compassion and empathy toward others. Helping others is her passion, and she prefers to avoid bloodshed whenever possible, but she will not hesitate to take a life if it means saving one. She learned to take care of herself at a young age but did not allow the evils she witnessed in Mos Eisley as a young girl prevent her from seeing the good in the galaxy. She does not follow orders blindly and values making the right choice about the Jedi Code.

I’m thinking about changing the character’s first name because when I tried to create a sub-account with that name, it told me it had a “forbidden/inappropriate word.” Ha ha.
It's due to the "ass" in Kassandra, you could change it to Casandra or if you want the K, Kasandra

That’s the only thing I could figure out. I hadn’t thought about it that way before. Thank you for your help! :)

Everything looks fine. I'll need a link to an armor write-up. I see that you linked the tech digest, but it's last timelines (anything for that timeline is archived and therefore unusable for this one) and I will need links to the armor itself.

Or you can chose to forgo any armor.

Your call.

Thanks for your help! I’ll just forgo the armor for now. I had so much trouble with writing up my armor in the last TL, ha ha. :) If I forgo the armor now, would it be possible to do a write up for light armor at some point in the future if I change my mind?
