BIOGRAPHY:1
  • Born to Benjin Rytt and an unamed mother; The person who would become Adenn was orginally named "Pyt" , Pyt was Raised among a small, Nomadic Mandalorian Clan which moved from system to system. He was the youngest of 4, with his adopted brothers taking up much of his fathers time. Once he turned 8 He began his training and would learn the important skills of the Mando'ade; hunting, Tracking, Sword fighting, shooting, first aid and basic weapon and armor maintenance. His clan was cruel, a group of cut throats and pirates who had decided brutality long before he was born, was the way. they always took in a large number of foundlings at the same time. once they reached the age of 13 they would fight one another in brutal and often deadly combat. The clan Leader believed it would breed a better, stronger Mandalorian Culture and people. Forced to fight against his friends, the boy soon learned it would be them or him and he made sure it was him. In 3 rounds of unarmed, Melee and Shooting , He won each. He was renamed "Adenn" or "merciless" by his father and so ended his Verd'goten. He had assumed the full responsibilities of his clan, working in any way to supply his clan with Money, usually illegally. This upbringing instilled in him a deep hatred for government and organized law. At the age of 16 he left the Clan in search of something better. After 9 years he had finally scrounged up enough people including his hunting Companions Talon Vizsla and Dolworth Solus. With part of the group heading to Sorgan The three mandalorians went to hunt for the Infamous Criminal Jon Kabian. On their Search they would discover that Adenn's Clan, including his father, betrothed and brothers, had been slaughtered at the hands of Kabian's Cohorts. Enraging the three huntsmen and igniting a more personal motive to acquire the bounty: vengeance. Upon Kabians Successful Capture, Adenn came to the knowledge by interrogation that the slave owned by Kabian, Etr Wyara, Was his nephew and son of his eldest brother, Aryb. He swore then that he would restore Etr's birthright and train him to be a mandalorian and adopted him as his son.

@Timmen Hello!

So I'm running through the profile and I'm seeing a number of issues, both from a lore perspective and with the new reputation rules.

Lore wise the Mandalorian coming of age, or verd'goten, occurs at the age of thirteen. And while The Mandalorian shows us the scattered and hidden lives of their clan, realistically Kashyyyk or Geonosiswould be a terrible place for the Clan to hide as they would stick out like sore thumbs among the Wookiees and Genosians, Kashyyyk is basically a death world. As a place the clan goes to train, certainly, but as a hidden sanctum seems dicey.

The big one is the way Reputation works. All characters start out as Unknown; you're basically known to your family and even then your third cousin on Corellia probably doesnt remember your name. Due to this aspects of the backstory just will not work - being part of a turf war and being targeted by the Crimson Dawn and the Hutts implies a level of recognition new characters simply don't have. Getting caught in the middle of a turf battle between two rival gangs and being harmed is one thing; being targeted for gangland executions is quite another.

I'd like to have you review the reputation rules, located here, as well as taking a look at the write ups for the 5 Syndicates and the State of the Galaxy to get an idea of how the criminal element works and a Mandalorian may live within or surrounded by it.

Tag me with any questions and when your changes have been made we'll circle back to review.

Hey @Timmen,

The changes to the bio are mostly looking good, I'm digging the idea of the roving clan training to become stronger. My only quibble would be that culturally Mandalorians take Foundlings and adoption very seriously. Taking in children only to raise them for cage matches to the death amongst them doesnt really jive with the culture. I suppose they could be like... crazy prepper Mandalorians who went overboard in their zealotry, but it just sits a little poorly; especially if Adenn is to bring himself forward as a Mando in the galaxy.

I understand. Theyre not really taking them in for cages matches, they are foundlings to the clan but the clan really wants only the strongest amongst them, very much like natural selection. Adenn left this clan as well, not to say hes not scarred or was shaped by them but I think this background would ceeate a more interesting chatacter arc.
