DESCRIPTION​

The A280C blaster rifle is a military infantry weapon produced by BlasTech Industries, one of the Galaxy's premier small arms manufacturers. Based on the company's famous A280 model, the A280C is smaller and more capable, at the cost of some range. Alongside its older sibling, it was one of the most common weapons used by soldiers of the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.

The A280C is mostly a cut-down version of the standard A280, although unlike its larger sibling it incorporates a stun setting. Effective range is less than that of the A280 at about 125 meters, with 75 shots from a standard power pack. Accurate ranged shooting is achieved through a computerized scope.

Though not produced in anything like the numbers of the Imperial E-11 blaster rifle, the A280C is still widely available, and can be found in the hands of heroes and villains alike. The model is still common in military service, but is also used by law enforcement, mercenaries, outlaws and even private citizens.

Legal. Ownership of blaster rifles is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, however openly carrying such a weapon in public might be on more "civilized" worlds. On less civilized worlds, it still might draw unwanted scrutiny.
