Location: Hok, Krim Crystal Mining Town

After receiving permission to land, the dark ship moved to the designated port. Boris manned the controlled carefully landed the craft while the human leaned back in the chair and reviewed the information on the datapad using her free hand to rub the head of the grey and black direwolf. Ryx returned her gesture by nuzzling her hand and licking it lightly. “Isn’t this planet lovely. What a dust pit.” She stood shortly after feeling the jolt from the ship landing. Opening a small locker to retrieve a robe, the young human wrapped the robe over her dark leather outfit. Instinctively, Ryx got up and prepared to follow Kassanda. “Ryx, you can’t go this time. The weather is not going to be kind to you.” Ryx whined a small wolf howl at the news. Rubbing his ears, she reached to the force and sent a message of reassurance to the beast. “Don’t worry, boy.” She leaned in and hugged him. “Boris will be with me.” Boris was securing the blaster rifle to his back. She grabbed the belt with a medium size vibrodagger sheathed. Sliding the belt around her waist and clasping the ends together.

“I have a few post landing procedures that I need to complete.” The mechanical voice informed the human.

“Very well, I will meet you outside shortly.” She reviewed the datapad one last time. “The Miner’s Hole.” A basic map appeared on the datapad. “I should be able to find it.” She cleared the data and proceed out of the ship.

Stepping from the ship, the auburn hair blew as the hot wind moved through the hanger. Boris was finishing the last of post flight checks. Ryx rested near the entrance of the ship. She pulled the hood of robe over her head and proceeded to find the bar. Boris followed in proximity to her.

If anyone knew how shady the galaxy could be, it was Kaath. He had grown up in the lower levels of Courscant, and seedy locations were a commonplace to him. Shortly after joining up with the official rebel alliance he would acquire his first real mission. Some crime boss needed an imperial bumped off, even mentioned he would be willing to smuggle weapons to the alliance if things went smoothly. The pizza guy had made many 'deliveries' in his time, all of them to imperials. This one shouldn't be too different.

Flying overhead in a Rockhopper Freighter, the rebel would quickly land on the dusty world's surface. Now that was something he wasn't use to, hot weather. "Blast, I didn't think I'd be this bad." Stepping out of the poor excuse for a ship, the assassin would easily spot the meeting point outside the mining town. It was a local bar, the Sunken Sarlacc. "Atleast it's got a catchy name."

The scoundrel would find himself walking into a dimly lit cantina. Various aliens would be spread throughout, with many Gran among them. The three-eyed humanoids were the primary inhabitants of the planet after all. Looking around for the boss, he would eventually notice the bartender shooting him a look. The Gran employee would point towards the corner of the building at a Heavyset deveronian man. "So thats the guy..."

Kaath would slide into the booth where the mobster was sitting, taking a seat directly across from him. "You must be the man. Kaath, Alliance Intelligence. What can I do for you?" The boss would cross his arms and sit back. "Glad to see one of you made it, but I'll need you both here before we can talk business..." The human would scratch the back of his head. He didn't expect there to be additional help. Assassinations were usually a one man job. "So I'll be working with a partner then? I suppose that'll be fine..."

Boris pushed through the door. The droid held the door open and the taller human stepped into the room. Pulling the hood back and peeling her over robe off, she handed the robe to the droid. “Keep eye. I don’t trust this space.” She whispered as she leaned away from Boris. He took the robes and shuck them off. The dust flung from the robes.

She looked around the room as she walked around the bar. She ended up at the bar. Quickly ordering a drink, the bartender motioned to the booth in the corner. Kassanda grabbed the drink and left some credits for the bartender. Taking a quick drink, she held back a disgusted face. Smiling, the young woman made her way to the table. The droid falling behind. He remained nearby but gave space. She grabbed a chair and slide it to the table. The woman in solid black leather. The auburn hair highlighted with scarlet and blonde sections. The turquoise eyes peering the gentlemen sitting in the booth. “Are you the boss? I heard you require a unique expertise.” She took another sip. She looked over to Kaath. A sizing him up. “Who is he?”

A large grin would form on the old crime lord's face as the woman took a seat next to them. She looked beautiful, but dangerous. The deveronian would uncross his arms as he spoke, "Ah there she is, one of the best in the galaxy, Kassanda. Oh uh, this fellow here is a pizza delivery guy..." Though usually he would be annoyed by such a downplaying of his skills, the boss wasn't technically wrong. Kaath would clear his throat before responding "Well... I mean. He's not wrong."

Turning his head around the corner to make sure no one else was listening in on them, the deveronian would lean in. "Alright you two, as you both already know I need your help... Several weeks ago, a new imperial governor walks into town, His names Sorven. I do my usual bit, invite the man to lunch, try to pay him off, but for the first time in twenty years it doesn't work! I've got a lot of boys under my pay roll that could make a hit, but they already know I want revenge. If the local imperials knew I assassinated the governor, then I'd be deader than dehydrated mon cal! That's why I need you two..."

The man would stop his speech, and pull out a paper map that contained the layout of the local imperial barracks. "The job won't be easy. You two will have to break into the barracks, and then the man's office to take him out. After that, I want you to make it look like the rebellion did it, and not me!"

The darkly dressed assassin would smirk widly. These were the kinds of missions he lived for. The dangerous ones. Kaath would begin looking over the layout of the structure, until he would make a slight discovery... "Hey... The barracks aren't above ground, meaning they must be in the..." the man would look out the window to a massive cave complex, before finishing "Mine..."

She gripped her chin as he mentioned being one of the best in the galaxy. “My associate that I represent is the skilled one. I just handle the business aspect of the relationship. You flatter us with praise.” Most employers assume her and her ‘associate’ were the same person, however she kept up the ploy. She sent a simple grin to crime boss.

She was about to question the defenses of the targets location as she listen to the crime lord’s speech but he paused as he reached for the paper. As he spread the paper out, she examined the layout. The base’s defenses were pretty standard for imperial bases. Pulling on her past experiences, she map entry points and exit points. Determining the patrol routes of the guard based on surveillance measures and other security. “Don't be to concern about the underground. It isn't as dangerous as you think. They have multiple exit points. I actually think it will make the job easier.” After she burned the map to memory, she leaned back. “If my partner is able to get you the target, would you be able to handle the kill?” She focused her attention to the Pizza Guy.

The crime boss chimed in. “Easier? The place is a fortress.” He laughed out loud while rubbing his slightly round belly. She smiled at the man. “For some” she said while taking another drink.

Kaath would grin as she addressed his capabilities. "If you can get me to the governor's office door, I can personally guarantee his death. If you could acquire some clearance codes as well, that would be make things easier as well." The man would be relieved that the building had multiple exits. His kills were usually quite loud, and would require a quick escape. He did hope this specialist knew what they were doing, but this woman highly praised the ability of her partner.

As the boss finished his statement, Kaath would crack his knuckles asking "If we know the layout of the place, when are we striking?" The deveronian would think for a moment before requesting "Tonight at eight PM would be preferable. I and my associates will be at a company dinner. It will help prove my innocence..."

That plan seemed to add up alright. Though the pizza guy had never worked for these gangster types in the past, this seemed reasonably intelligent. He would look his eyes back at the auburn-haired woman before asking, "So when am I meeting this partner of yours red? Who exactly are they?"

Kassanda lift a hand to point at a spot on the outside the main fortress. “Meet there at 19:30 hours.” She finished her drink and set it on the table. Returning her attention to the Crime Boss. “Who is your rival? Wouldn’t it be better to blame them rather than the Rebels?” She motioned for another drink. The droid move from his spot to retrieve the drink from the bar. Handing a drink to the young female, the droid by with a robe draped over his arm. “Thank you, Boris.” She took another long drink as she grew to enjoy the liquid as it moved through her system. “What is the pay for this job?” The smile left her face to a more serious look. “My associate and I require 10,000 credits paid with 1,000 broker fee to the person that connected us.”

The crime boss leaned back and sulked for a moment. “Ehh.” Gripping his chin, he looked at the Kaath. “And do you want the same?” He said with a intelligible ramble afterwards.

Kaath would cross his arms and shake his head at the boss. "Forgetting about our deal already eh? I'm here representing the galactic rebellion, not myself. As long as you agree to assist with weapon smuggling operations to my people, this one's for free." The man would look around the room quickly. It seemed everyone in the bar was under the bosses payroll, which meant no imperials were around to pick up on their conversation. That was a good thing, since Kaath felt they were getting a little loud.

The deveronian mobster would begin flipping a credit chip before responding, "and another thing, I don't exactly have a rival gang. We ran them off years ago. My only opposition is the empire..."

The pizza guy would nod his head, quickly responding "19:30, got it." He would then precede to stand up and quietly walk out of the bar. Some would watch him closely as he left, but the mobster would simply shrug. "Well eh... Make sure you get the job done..."

“It will be done.” Standing up and the human returned the chair. She scanned room while reaching for her robe. Tucking her auburn hair in the robe as she dawned it. Kassy left the bar with the droid following behind her.

During her off time before the meeting, Kassanda retrieved some explosives from an opposing mining town. While she didn’t outright support the rebellion, she understood the importance of a force fighting the Sith. As a favor to this new companion, the human decided to take measures into her hands to remove the tension from that group. This pizza guy could be a new source of revenue with the Galactic Alliance.

    Time: 19:29 Hours

The onyx armor humanoid ran to the spot and quickly crotched. The wind blew across the plains. Corser scanned the area. The patrols were as she expected. The full helm covers her face and the mechanical voice welcome the incoming man. The dark armor appeared to be secure in the chest and lower arms. The baggy pants were tied off in various location to maintain stealth movement. The bottom of the pants was tucked into calf high boots. The humanoid drops several packages in front of Kaath. “I retrieved some explosives from a competitive town. This will pull the draw away from the rebels.” The helmeted figure rotated their head and looked in your direction. The solid oynx helmet with a small blue symbol itched into the side. “Patrols are acting as expected.” She pointed to various location of small groups of soldiers walking the perimeter of the massive complex.

Kaath had arrived a couple minutes early to the meeting site, luckily the sun had already set. It was officially night, and their operation was to begin. Though he didn't know who to look out for, he would keep his eyes peeled for any mercenary types. Not even ten seconds would pass as the armored figure made their appearance. The onyx plates were similar to the woman's outfit from before, this must be her partner. "So you want to blame the hit on a rival mining town? There's a reason we want to make it look like the rebellion did it ya know... But if you insist, I don't really have any qualms about it."

He would then turn his attention to the patrol who was moving along as expected. Everything was going well so far, but they haden't even started. The man would reveal a case made out of cloth that was strapped around his body. The device was essentially a pizza box carrying bag. "everything I need to do the job is in this case, we just need to slip inside..." Taking another look at the patrol that had just passed the main entrance, he would begin to ponder the various ways he would infiltrate the mechanical beast of a station.

Though he didn't have much of a plan himself, this other specialist seemed to have some knowledge on the subject. "So, how do we slip in?"

Corser taken back by the reply. “You want to bring attention to the Rebels. I wasn’t at the original meeting so maybe I wasn’t made aware of the decision. I was just thinking making a rival would bring the fury of the sith.” A brief shiver escaped her body. The figure attempt to conceal it. “You want to the Sith to know the rebel hit this target.” She eyed the packages as she moved to the other concern. “ The patrols are following standard sith formations. I have to admit they are more discipline than most I’ve seen.” The mechanical voice echoed from the helmet. “Those two groups that look like they will cross but they will switch directions shortly.” Shifting in the crotched positioned, she extended an arm and the soldiers shifted and moved to the opposite direction they were heading. “See.” The glee chimed through the mechanical voice.

We sat about 300 meters from the soldiers. They looked at Kaath. Quickly observing human form, they said. “Can you move quietly?” She looked at him. “We will slip into the patrols as they split.” Reaching across, she tightened a strap to secure your gear. “This will be fun.” Peering to the distance, the humanoid form full spirit towards the facility.

Kaath would nod quickly at the armored woman's response. "Why would I want the sith to come down on an innocent mining town? The empire already hates the alliance, and rebel ambushes are pretty common. It's an easy way to make sure no one but the empire gets hurt." The man would squint at the patrols, taking note of their movements. His new friend seemed eager to jump into action, and so was he. "I can do quiet." He would draw a small blaster pistol from his coat, and begin crouching down close to the ground.

As the patrols switched directions, their backs would be turned. Kaath would take the opportunity to dart past them and press his back against the wall of the base. It made sense that the movements of these men were so mechanical. From what the mobster had said, the governor refused payment, meaning he was 'by the book' type of guy. It would explain why his men were so disciplined.

Now that he had reached the walls of the base, he would need a unguarded entry point. Nothing stood out immediately, but maybe his armored buddy had a few ideas. The man would raise an arm, and give a hand signal becoming them to sneak past as well. Even though the mission was only getting started, Kaath could feel the challenge it would pose...

The human and her companion made their way to the wall of the building unnoticed. She looked up the 6 meter high wall. Motioning to the assassin, Corser pushed their back against the wall and clasped her hands together in a stance. She would launch the said assassin to the top of the building. From there, she was already mapping the directions to the inside. The guards still patrolled far out and were out of sight of the operatives.

Corser mapped the course that they needed to take from analyzation of the map. She was pretty sure she could get the two of them to the governor’s room without detection. But plans didn’t always work as expected. A trait she picked as child during her training.

Kaath would grin at the mercenary's offer of a boost, and manage to make the jump to the top of the wall with their assistance. Once he managed to get to the top, he would kneel down and offer a hand to pull Corser up. Once his partner had successfully made it up, he would being scanning the area and looking for points of entry. Unfortunately, the man didn't actually have a source of night vision, so actually managing to spot something would be a challenge. His partner seemed to have the area mapped out much better than he did, they were suppose to be the infiltrator after all. In a quiet tone, he would whisper "Alright, so how do we get in?"

As he mentioned this, the patrol of guards would make their way around again. It seemed to be the standard march when the main base's door would begin to loudly creek open. The various soldiers would enter into a salute as a higher ranking and heavily armored officer would address them. Kaath and his partner would be able to hear his declaration clearly. "Listen up lads! The governor, generous man that he is, has offered to conclude patrols early tonight. It's a way to celebrate the lack of crime in these past couple weeks. You folk on patrol can make your way to the mess hall." The vast majority of the men would be cheering and clapping, happily going along to the hall. "Oh uh, sorry I forgot to mention, but guards will still have to remain posted for the rest of the night..." There would be an audible sigh from a small group of soldiers guarding the door.

Kaath would turn his attention back to his partner. They would have to be careful to avoid areas like locker rooms, and the mess hall if the soldiers were actually turning in for the night.

As Kaath ran towards Corser, his feet met with her hands. Pulling from the force, she launched the heavier man into the air. He gripped the edge of the wall and pulled himself up. He leaned over and extended a hand. She pulled back a little bit and ran up the wall. Grabbing the hand as the man pulled him up; she moved back from the edge. Ducking down, she said in a low tone. “There is an access vent..” She cut her speech short as the officer was addressing the soldiers. Her full mask covered the annoyance about the news that the soldiers would be released. Their patterns will be more chaotic now.

After soldiers were release, she looked at Kaath. She drew on the ground a rough map of the facility using the loose dirt that was collecting on the roof. She pointed to the access vent. “We will enter the access vent. We will follow the line. Hopefully, tight spaces don’t bother you.” She moved her finger along the line of the rough map. “When we get here.” She pointed to a spot. “It’s a vent that leads down to the lower levels. May suggestion would be put a few explosive on the upper level.” She pointed to various spots. “We get into position to take the target. Setting of the explosions will pull the guard away from the lower tunnels. This will allow us hit the target and slip out the side exits of here.” She remained silent for a moment as she waited for his feedback.

Kaath would listen closely to the plan, it was a solid one. The vents would be the easiest way to navigate the base unseen, and he was no stranger to tight spaces. Stealth was a tool he utilized on occasion, and this was one. Giving a nod of agreement, he would add one amendment to the plan "Alright, the vent seems to be solid. A few explosives to take down the base, detonite I'm guessing. That could work well, but we'll have to kill the governor prior to their detonation. Otherwise my target may escape..." Looking behind himself, he would see the previously mentioned vent. It looked older and worn compared to most of the base, so that would help in removing it.

Walking over to it, the man would take out his vibrodagger and begin using it to unscrew the various screws keeping the thing held together. after a minute or so, the vent would be removed entirely, giving them a clear shot down the shaft. He wasn't sure who should go first, but his partner seemed to know the facility's layout by heart. "You seem to know the place better, so after you I suppose." He would gesture for the thief to enter first.

The vent was about 2 foot by 2 foot. Plenty of room. She tightened the scraps to her gear. She ran her foot over the map and obscure the drawing. The roof was heavily caked in dust and sand. It was clear that the guards don’t portal the upper levels. Corser agreed to the part of the explosion. “Yes, are you able to remote detonate the explosives?” She did one last check on the gear. A long vibroblade strapped across the back. A large dagger sheathed across the lower back; various throwing knifes tucked into various position on the armor. Tightly wound rope carefully wrapped across the chest. No blasters or rifles could be seen. You got the feeling that the operative liked to get close to her targets before dispatching them.

She didn’t wait for the answer as she believed her intentions were clear. She climbed into the vent. Her slender frame helped the navigation of the tunnels. Moving silent through the tunnels, she had to pause and remember that she wasn’t alone as usual. She heard him moving behind her but was surprised that he was quieter than expected. Being trained from a young age to move with silently, it almost came natural to her so much that she had to consciously walk with noise when she wasn’t trying to be sneaky. One reason she enjoyed the adult beverage, the numb that quiet movement.

They reached an intersection of vents. She paused again. Pointing down the tunnels that met at us, she provided the signal to plant the explosives. Making a gesture with her hand, she pointed for him to plant his down one tunnel and she would complete the same task down the opposite. Waiting for him to hand the explosive.

The infiltrator moved with more tact and cunning than Kaath had ever seen in an individual before. Granted he hadn't met many in his day, but the guy was clearly a professional. He would try his best to follow suit through the vents, and would only end up making a bit of noise a couple times. The metal the empire used could be quite 'creeky' if left untouched for too long, and the assassin was learning that the hard way. Luckily, the hustle and bustle of the base was overshadowing their movements. It wouldn't be long before the pair would reach a fork in the vents. It would be an excellent spot to plant the explosives as Corcer had suggested.

Taking hold of one of the charges, he would firmly place in on the top part of the vent, and then turn to his back. After a series of button presses and quickly done wiring, the charge would be primed. He'd whisper "A few more of these should cave the whole base in, lets keep moving." Switching back to crawling, he would make his way towards the right vent, as it was slopping downward towards the governor's office in the base. Hopefully, by this point, the pair would be getting somewhat closer to their destination. Even still, Kaath wasn't sure how they planed to escape the vents once they reached their destination. Maybe he would have to use his vibrodagger again?

As the would continue to crawl, the familiar voice of an imperial officer would be heard. "A toast lads, to three weeks of peace!" the declaration would be followed by a series of cheers that echoed through the vents. Though there was no hard proof, it was likely they were crawling above the mess hall. If there was ever a time to be extra quiet, it was now.

Kassanda watched closely as the assassin primed the explosive. She was trained in the basic with explosives and such, but her companion clearly had more experience. She took hers and followed the procedure in her designated spot. Making her way back, they proceed down the central vent. The makeshift crawl space curved around. The sounds of people eating and drinking echoed through vents. Corser took a moment and adjust her movement. Being cautious of the noise, she continued at a slower pace.

Reaching a clearing, Corser stopped. Undoing a few latches on her armor, pulled the rope that crossed her chest. She reached in a small pouch on the belt. Pressing the small metal piece to the ceiling, it stuck with some force. You could only assuming it was magnetic.

A familiar voice echoed through the vents. The appreciated soldiers cheered and banged their cups against the table. The sound was almost deafening. “Can you set another explosive over them?” She smirked as said in a joking tone.

With a series of knots, she secured the rope to the metal clasp. She pulled with a force on the rope and it didn’t give. She threw the excess rope down the shaft. Sliding her body over the edge, she hooked her arm around the rope. Unknown what happened she slipped nearly falling down the tunnel, slammed a hand and foot. Legs spread, she caught herself with a loud thud. Luckily the base functioned as a mining operation as the ambient noises masked her blunder. She cursed internally as she remained silent. Embarrassed by the action, she re-secured herself to the rope and moved down the rope. The cool air blew past them as it moved through the vents.
