Thalmor Prisoner Ship "The Pride of Alinor" en-route to Bleakrock Isle (4E 201)

Please Note, this takes place in the multiverse of the Elder Scrolls, and is using the events of TES 6 and its ending as a basis for this long form narrative to take place. I am using the 1st Edition Pocket Guide to the Empire, for the basis of this RP. You can find it on the Imperial Library, if you have any questions or lost on why certain landscapes are the way they are, etc. Anyone is free to join this RP, just PM me that you're interested. I would like to run this as a long form DND style series campaign. This narrative will take the party across the whole continent of Tamriel, as they look for the real dragonborn, rightful heir to the throne of the Empire, the one to destroy the Thalmor and Altmer oppression across the continent of Tamriel. We will interact with many different factions and groups along the way. There is no concrete character sheet. Though I think I'll make one when the time comes, just so we can keep track of the players and their reputation across the land. Race does not matter, background and skills do not matter. I will be driving the narrative based on the general main plot, but like the elder scrolls games, this can change based on what the party decides to do. I will be the Dungeon Master as well as a player within this. Looking for a party size of four. +2 others are welcome to join. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW JACK SQUAT ABOUT THE LORE. MOST OF IT WILL BE HANDED TO YOU, AND IF THERE ARE THINGS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN, I CAN LINK YOU TO SEVERAL COOL SOURCES.

    Prophecy Fortold
The Fourth Era has been a time of great turmoil for the lands of Tamriel. The ashes of Red Mountain have left the once proud Dunmer people crushed and on the brink of collapse. The fake dynasty of the Medes have left the Jungle heartlands of Cyrodiil prisoners to that of the Thalmor. The two false dragonborns within Skyrim have caused thousands of lives and resources to be spent, thinning the already weak Empire.

The Thalmor and the Altmer are planning something, not even I can forsee. But, not all is lost. You have been chosen, along with several others aboard this ship. You were a prisoner of the Thalmor, caught and imprisoned among a sea of others attempting to flee Skyrim. You were chained and sent aboard a ship for the desolate isles of Bleakrock. Though your destiny does not end within the cold confines of torture..something is coming my child, I will be watching you.

    _______________________________________________________

The ships hull rocks back and forth violently as the sounds of waves crashing against the creaking wood would be enough to awaken anyone, yet you slept through it. No one knows for how long you have slept, but those chained beside you whispered and hushed that you surely must have been sick.

You feel cold dark hands grasp around you shaking you awake. Your blurry eyes opening to see red pupils staring back at you, a middle aged dunmer glaring around with his eyes low. "You were shaking...no one could wake you.." His voice was dark and sounded as if he had inhaled mountains of ash, "We hit a storm, they say we've been knocked slightly off course..The guards..they want all of us on the top--helping out..say what's your name?" He would ask in a hushed tone, as you glanced down towards a small puddle--your reflection glancing back towards you. Who are you?

I dream of fire. And pain. And...It. The back of my mind which calls to me like a siren. I approach, about to see its ugly guise and then...

Then I wake. The cuts on my face sting no more. The bruise on my cheek missing. I realize I am staring at my own reflection, and it blurs as the ship rocks. I face the man who beckons, one with dark skin and eyes that burn. My memory eludes me for now. All, save for one word. Name. Title. Me. The One With Burning Eyes asks for it. I provide, reluctant yet just now waking frok my daze.

    "Kætya. From the North."

I blink and find myself able to sit up. The scratched voice brings my hearing back to a waking state. My vision blurs and clears, and awful nausea sweeps over me as the vessel rocks. Ah, yes. It all makes sense now. A Nord lacking the stomach for the sea.

    Now it was coming back.

The mer's red eyes blinked as he looked at the woman's rough pale skin, the properties of sea sickness clearly visible upon her face and body. Nords were never ones for the sea..He thought to himself as his ears perked up at the sound of several footsteps approaching towards the back of the boat. He would move his hands towards his lips as he muttered in a hushed tone, "Shh..here comes the guards."

A group of four Altmer made their way into the room, three of the guards dawning the elegant golds and lines of the Aldmeri Dominion's armor, white the center figure--a tall and slender high elf female stood wearing a crimson tabard over top of a violet tunic. Her golden eyes were sharp and narrow with the tips of her smile meeting the bridges of her angular cheeks. "On your feet swine." She responded as she snapped her fingers--sending the armored men to grab hold of the dark elf and the Nord, pulling them by force onto their feet. "To the upper deck you go, move along before I end your miserable existence now." She spat as the two were pushed through the crowded galley and towards the stairs which lead to the top deck.

There appeared to be nearly one hundred weak and feeble prisoners aboard the ship, all being prodded and pushed like sentient cattle towards the upper deck, the two of them were just a pair of faces among a sea of the damned and the doomed. Some of the prisoners refused to move as they were too sick or weak, some had already given up hope--they had accepted their death right then and there.

The two would quickly be atop of the wooden deck, the sight of torrential rain, and vast puddles could be seen across the ship--waves crashing and rocking the boat were constant. "Move along and grab an oar! Or you'll be forced overboard...Move!" Yelled their elven overlords.

"Stick close to me, we'll be alright," replied the Dunmer man to Kaetya. "It appears our Altmer friends missed their destination..." He whispered as he pointed towards the distant peaks towards the side of them. "Those are the Velothi Mountains...the fools must have over shot their destination during the storm..I think we're in the Inner Sea."

Disgraceful that a Nord, famed for their presence on the seas, was now trying to avoid turning green and spilling whatever she last ate, whenever that was. She eyed the approaching group, one of which was clearly the figure of power aboard this ship. Good or bad, Kætya held contempt for whoever this woman was that had shoved her in this cell. She didn't quite recall why she was here, or how. As of now...just waking up was a load on her mind. As they were sent to the upper decks, she tested out the strength of her legs and found them able despite the shakiness from her nausea.

This wasn't to last. A few steps on deck and she found a vacant seat with the Dark Elf. Luckily she got a 'window' seat and was able to release her guts over the side before wiping her mouth, gritting her teeth, and snatching an oar. She shook her face and snarled in defiance at a wave that crashed over their side of the ship, readjusting her grip on the oar while her newfound partner explained their course and their troubles of navigation. A part of her wanted to laugh at the incompetence of the crew. A larger part decided to row for her life. And so she did.

"Inner Sea...why does that sound familiar?"

Her accent was just barely understandable over the uproar, and for now her seasickness had subsided. Till the next seaborne voyage.

"Because it's the sea that separates Vvardenfell from Tamriel" a voice replied, the accent was distinctly Imperial coming from a man sat on opposite side of the Dark Elf to the Nord, he glanced at them he was dirty, his face cover grime with longish reddish-brown hair with a short beard that matched his hair and pair of deep blue eyes.

"And we best stop talking before they notice unless you want to feel the stinging kiss of a whip" he spoke again, his word carrying the weight of experience behind them, his eyes glancing at the whip on the hip of one the Thalmor, as they proceed to keep rowing as the waves continued to crash againest the ship

The ash whipped through the crisp night sky, clinging to every single nook and cranny upon any open surface. "My people haven't been the same since the Red Mountain Erupted, the Empire left us behind..our hubris left us open to invasion." The Dunmer whispered towards the Nord and Imperial. "Sometimes I wonder if this is the end times of my people.."

A crack of the whip would come within their direction, "Shut your lips swine..or I'll have them removed from your face." Barked a hulking figure. Though the guards attention was quickly pulled away at a distant groan from within the sea--the waves around the boat trembling the water. The dust and rain left it impossible to see, they could have been riding into the mount of something, but the darkness of the night wouldn't have given it away.

"Keep rowing!" Yelled the captain of the ship, as he moved his way towards the end of the boat, where several of the guards had been looking over the edge. That was when the creature attacked, a series of large tentacles would reveal themselves from the depths of the black waters wrapping around several men and prisoners--flinging them into the water in an instant. A thunderous roar would emerge and the boat would begin to tremble.

Prisoners and guards alike trembled in fear, as the tentacles came crashing down onto the boat, causing chips of splinters and wood to go flying into the sky. The group would see glimpses of the captain being pulled into the depths of the darkness, before they were flung into the crisp and cool salty water which would freeze their bones to the core.

Many tried to make it to shore, but it was no use--they were quickly dragged away by the unkown creature. The Imperial and the Nord would quickly find themselves upon the dark shores of Morrowind, along with three other prisoners. Panting and close to fainting, they would all catch their breaths, when they would catch the glimpse of the Dunmer that had been looking over them the past few days--he was stuck within the water, struggling to keep himself afloat. Surely he would drown if no one came to his rescuse soon. What would the Imperial and Nord do?

The Nord pulled herself to her feet on the beach, realizing just what had happened. She wiped her face and swept back her braids, looking around. The Imperial man that had made it to shore with her was also recovering. She looked around for their Dark Elf friend, and spotted him sloshing in the water. Darkness against darkness. She grimaced and jumped into the surf, attempting to dodge the larger waves and push out to sea. She reached the Dunmer attempting to swim and wrapped her arms under his shoulders, backstroking as best as she could with her legs.

The water was shallow enough that she hoped whatever monster had knocked their ship apart would know better than to appear here. Kaetya felt her legs burning as she attempted to move the larger man as best as she could, especially after no warming up or anything to build her strength.

She coughed up salt water as she laid on the beach recovering. Ash latching onto her clothes and skin as she laid on the dark shores of Morrowind. The home of her people, the Dunmer. Standing up she dusted off some of the ash on her clothes before looking at her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was that she wasn't alone. Four other fellow prisoners stood on the beach. She spotted a Imperial looking at a Nord women as the Nord ran back into the water. The Dark Elf thought she was crazy before seeing the middle aged Dunmer struggling to stay afloat.

She looked on as the Nord swam, dodging the huges waves before she finally reached the Dark Elf and began helping him back to shore.

The Imperial crawled up from the sea and on to the black sand of the beach, coughing up saltwater as he did. "Thank the nine" he whispered under his breath as he picked himself up from the floor and turning to look out towards the sea that he had just crawled from, he barely made out the Dark Elf in the inky blackness that was the sea.

He hesitated upon seeing him, he wasn't the strongest swimmer and he barely knew him, he didn't know if it was worth risking it but the Nord dived in after him, she seemed to have inherited her peoples' bravery as she didn't seem to hesitate like him but he wanted to help, as they approached the shore he waded through the water until it was above his waist and picked up one of dark elf's arms, put other his shoulder and helped carry him to beach.

putting the dark elf on the ground, the imperial spoke " Alright, I know we just survived nearly being drowned and are exhausted but we can't stay here, the bench is going to be the first place anyone looks for survivors and those looking might not be friendly towards us." he looked around at every survivor to gauge everyone.

    Ano Marrius
Off The Shores of The Velothi Mountains
    Sundown, Tirdas, 22nd of Sun's Dawn, 4E201

Sploosh...swish...swurl, the taste of thick salt water swirled and gargled through Ano's mouth as he was swept onto the freezing black shores of Morrowind's western regions. The thick salty taste was unbearable and caused the Colovian to vomit beside himself. His brown eyes gazed out towards the darkening shoreline--the prison boat was no where to be seen.

It seemed that there had been a few others that had made it to shore, a darkelf woman, a Nord and an Imperial who had taken off into the sea to rescue some flailing subject. "Think I'mma stick me neck out for a milk drinker," he mumbled under his breath as he saw the two drag another dunmer to the shore. The former gladiator took one last look around and noted an Argonian man sulking about, his eyes lowering at the site of the two dunmer.

Ano stood up and took a good look at the towering Nord and what appeared to be a fellow heartlander. I suppose it could be worse--a whole band of merry milk drinkers. That was when the Imperial spoke up towards the group, something about getting off the beach. "Since you've seemed to be gifted with the intellect of Julianos, tell me chap--where in these bloody mountains do you suppose we wonder off to?" His eyes were sharp as he looked towards the two dunmer, "If you noticed, we're in the dark mer territory."

The aged dunmer cut through the man's remarks, "May Azura bless you both," he responded in a weak tone towards his saviors. "We're in the Velothi Mountains, close to my home..Blacklight. My name is J'uvar Kuthal of House Redoran..I will take you to my people there..get supplies, food, and figure out what in Sheogorath happened out here..Come, I'll lead the way."

The Nord hoisted herself to shore, stumbling onto the sand and then regaining her footing long enough to pant and subside her nausea. The man she had pulled ashore seemingly knew where they were going. Another newcomer who had made it had expressed his irritations toward the rest of the group. She looked at their band of unhappy beings, wringing out her braids and tossing them over her shoulder, her expression that of a cat who just took a bath. She hated swimming, but she could do it. At least the Nords taught her well. Water was terrifying, in all its size. And it had swallowed their ship whole.

She watched as the Dunmer started to walk, looking back at the group before setting off after him. She trusted him enough due to action aboard the ship, and she had also saved his life. An even enough debt, then. But this was territory that he knew. For all she could think, perhaps this was more than just an escape. Perhaps there was more behind the scenes. A trap for nobodies.

She looked on as the Imperial entered the water to help the Nord get the aged Dunmer to the shore. As the Dunmer stood up the Imperial began to speak. Saying they should move away from the beach. A Colovian spoke up. She ignored him to look at the Velothi Mountains. They were quite beautiful. Her ears perked up as she heard the Colovian mention they were in dark mer territory.

She silently glared at the Colovian before looking at the Old Dumner as he mentioned that his home was close by. At least she now knows his name. As the group began moving she looked at her hands before Clenching them. She silently prayed to Azura to keep her and the group safe before she moved closer to the group.

He locked eyes with the man that spoke up, he was one of his fellow countrymen, though the man wasn't born in the Imperial city judging by accent. The sarcasm was plainly obvious to him, he glared at the man, "Atlea-" the Dunmer interjected before he could continue what was about to say, "alright we'll follow behind you J'uvar" he glanced at the Colovian before setting off.

He made his way to the front of the pack to talk to J'uvar, "since you were kind of enough to share your name with us I'll do the same with you, the names Tiber Dias, nice to meet you." he stuck a hand out at J'uvar for a hand shake with accompanying smile.
