The message had been sent and recieved. Mandalore was under attack. Immediatly the Mandalorian had mobilized as much of his fleet as he could. However as it stood on such short notice the only fully operational vessels were just two corvettes. It was leaving Contruum less defended than it had been before but it was a tough call he had made. This was Mandalore they were talking about. Coming out of hyperspace was one and only Sol'yc Mer'sheb. It was traveling only at its full speed of 70 MGLT, practically screaming towards Concordia. Three sith corvettes were already in place over the planet. The defensive fleet of Mandalorian ships were mitigating it but they were taking a beating. Any other planet would have been uterly crushed but Mandalore was not just any other planet. Still, Burkhart's practiced eye knew that it was not a battle that could be won already, just one that could be survived.

However the stolen and heavily modified audacious class corvette was not alone. Along side it was a slightly smaller nynir class corvette. Each with their compliment of the appropriately named muun'bajir or moon badgers, MM10 star bombers. The two capital ships had an additional dozen mm5 starfighters as escorts in four groups of three forming angled formations.

They were all moving at maximum sublight speed for the time being. To get into position should provide Concordia and its launching point some cover as they ready for possible evacuation and ready other delaying defenses before the Sith Empire's ships get closer. "Blast it! They're alrehday ovar tha bloody base!" He slammed his cybernetic arm down onto the terminal loud enough to startle one of the deck officers. Taking a deep he settled down and assessed the situation. "All ships in Wolfpack Group, thas is Feld Marshal Burkhart Kelborn! Listen oop. We're goin ta strike tha enemy ships hard an fast with a blind side attack. Move in close and don't let up. They outnumber uus and its goin ta turn into a slug fest real quick. Let's knock some of their teeth out with our first swing."

The following orders would have the corvettes' starbomber compliments exit their respective hangar and form up. The plan would deffinitly force the ships under his command to take a beating, maybe even be destroyed. But their were mandalorians still on the moon's surface that needed backup. They were backed into a corner but Burkhart was here to give them a fighting chance. With everyone in formation the ships did not slow down in their approach of the ships. "But Field Marshal, we don't have enough damage to take them out outright. They'll each-" But the deck officer was cut off by the red right hand of the Morling. "I know...that's why I'm goin ta board one of thar ships...and crash it into oblivion."

The bridge went silent as they heard what Burkhart said. He was the man that had flown a shuttle to Korriban and practically knocked on the Sith Academy door. On top of that he had survived it and ended up in wild space for the next month. People may have thought he was a mad mandalorian but so far he had proved himself victorious. Leading a fleet over Kuat, assualting Corellia, those under his command believed in him. This was still one of the ballsiest things he would ever try. "Let tha forces on Concordia Air Base know what we're doin. Maybe they still got some fighters to aid us. You have the command." He gave a nod to the next ranking and walked off the bridge.

The Alor of Clan Kelborn headed towards the hangar in what short time he had before the ships closed with one another. He would wait in the hangar with his ship until the first volley was exchanged. He had not asked for volunteers to join him, let alone commanded others to take part in his own objective. Yet there were a dozen marauders waiting in the hangar slamming blaster cartridges into their weapons and readying themselves. Most had their helmets on, ready to go. Varying species and even a few non-kelborns among them. He smiled and nodded. This was going to put them in the good graces of the gods for sure. "Let's kick make those Imperial bastards know what it means ta mess with Mandalorians?" A resounding and united singular OYA rang out in the hangar.

Shorwarr still couldn't believe that the Sith were seriously attacking Mandalore. At first he laughed as he heard the news, thinking it was a bad joke, but then the fleet had moved on and Burkhart had announced it, things got serious. He had been recently assigned to Burk's flotilla for training and he had temporarily been given a MM10 star bomber he was honestly proud of. He was together with other four Mandalorians, all Kelborn clan mates, and given he was the pilot he was technically also the commander of the ship, although he didn't consider himself as such honestly

As the ships got out of hyperspace, he and the others of his crew hopped in the bomber and slowly flew out of the hangar, going in formation with the other bombers as they got escorted by the starfighters. "Alright guys, let's prepare to make rain bombs and torpedos on them!" he said as he switched on the communicator. "Squadron chief, we're ready to follow your orders. Lead the way sir!" he said, probably a bit overly cheerful, the Wookie a bit eager to see how well this bad boy of a ship would go. In the meantime the other crewmembers took their positions, two of them going to the ventral and dorsal turrets while the third went to the bomb and torpedo commands.

"Only the dead have seen the end of war."

Brother Jan Wyatt has not wandered far from Ando Prime, heading out on pilgrimage to the troubled planets of the Galaxy as was his wont, and already had he found himself in conflict. Or at least, in the bowels of a ship fast approaching conflict. Quite by chance, he had managed to blag his way onto the Sol'yc Mer'sheb, trading his skils as a healer for his unimpeded transit - unimpeded being a word that the interlopers into Mandalorian Space, clearly had no intention to respect.

As claxons and alarms sounded across the vessel, the monk caught the attention of a passing crew member, calling him over:

    "Forgive me, what's going on?"

"That's a proxi...an alarm, saying that the Sol'yc Mer'sheb, the ship we are on, his heading into combat."

"What can I do to help?"

The Mandalorian looked the robed man up and down, his face showing little short of derision as he noted that the man was not visably armed, at least not with a firearm, nor was he armoured for conflict. In truth, Jan had only his stave and two small knives, so would likely be of little use in a firefight. At last, the man responded:

"You got on here because your a medic yes?"

Jan nodded, getting the gist of the issue "Get to the medbay, and be ready to go where the damage is worse. Even with a vessel of this size, we can still take flak in a firefight." Jan agreed, walking toward the corridor entrance as he did so, before the Mandalorian caught him again "Actually, the bridge is that way," he pointed to a red light sign above them "...make sure the captain knows you're here, who knows, we may end up using you after all."

The monk agreed, walking off taking the bridge pass the Mandalorian had handed him as he did so.

"Oh and, don't worry, despite appearances, his bark is worse then his bite." the man shouted after him, the words staying with Jan as he made his way up the corridor, waved the pass at the bridge guards, and gently stepped inside. The bridge itself was a cool and calm affair, despite the alarms breaking out across the vessel, its master, Burkhart (as Jan was soon to discover from the idle chatter of the bridge crew) or 'Captain Kelborn', standing a'midst it all, still as a statue.

Opting to say nothing, as was his place, Jan merely stayed behind the Captain, next to one of the security officers, awaiting further direction.

Amur was under going a normal routine travel in her crux class fighter. All her gear within easy reach should she need to bail or enter ground combat. The scorched acolyte wasn't expecting much just a typical day of traveling and handling affairs. Then a message was transmitted to her one that she had not expected at all. An emergency redeployment, with a set of coordinates and warning to expect resistance upon immediately entering the area. As the sith gleaned over the star coordinates and began to enter them into flight computer she paused upon realizing where she would be sent. Mandalore. Something must of went wrong, very wrong.

The Sith counted the seconds for her ship's flight computer to come up with a hyperspace solution and made the jump without a seconds hesitation. As the galaxy fused together into blinding light passing her ship Amur's mind was racing to find out what was happening. Was it a mindbreaker attack, an uprising? Was Mandalore about to fall to same fate of Korriban, or did relations deteriorate? No the United protectorate was just formed and a peace declared. Besides a war with them right now would be foolish after Korriban. The empire needed to rebuild, not throw itself into another war where they could lose their fleets. The acolyte's questions would be answered upon exiting hyperspace.

The crux fighter came screeching out of hyperspace and what Amur saw from her cockpit was insanity. She had joined an entire Sith Armada. that was now heading for the throat of the Mandolorian's rule. It was an amazing display of firepower and she felt like merely a small cog in the vast war machine that was taking place. Immediately most of the fleet began their attack with orders being transmitted to provide fighter support and escort to any units in need. She was quickly assigned to a squadron of other crux class fighters that now numbered 12 with her inclusion.

"Strigoi Squadron this is Sith Acolyte Amur. I've been ordered to join up and assist you." Amur called out over the secured channel that her squadron was using to communicate.

"Amur eh? This is Strigoi 1. Your callsign for this op will be Strigoi 12. Form up with the rest of Strigoi Squadron and be prepared for anything, we're diving into the hornets nest." The Flight lead called in a characteristic calmness perfect for a lead. Amur after taking time to scan the hundreds of signatures on her radar, and the overwhelming amount of IFF signatures she managed to locate Strigoi team and form up with them, completing a tight flying v formation.

Comm chatter was already beginning to become a supercharger of sensory overload as hundreds of voice could be heard over all channels. Still the Sith just took the moment to focus and channel the force knowing the reputation that Mandolorians carried this wasn't going to be an easy fight.

"So this is it? We're finally taking Mandalore?" Amur asked as the reality of the situation hit her.

"I never thought this day would come." A member of Strigoi squadron said, Amur could practically hear the butterflies in the man's stomach.

"Yes it's happening, but it won't be easy. Stay calm, keep in mind your surroundings and stick to eachother and you'll get out of this alive. Also keep in mind that this isn't all they got. Expect reinforcements to be jumping in, the enemy won't give this up without a fight let's make sure we return the favor."

As the squadron started to speed up to the crux's full acceleration of 90 MGLT getting ready to intercept and engage the planetary defense forces; new signatures started to pop up and enter the space as a set of Mandalorian war ships came into view from hyperspace screaming towards the imperial fleet. It looked like Strigoi 1's prediction of more ships reinforcing the Mandalorians was true and Strigoi squadron looked to be one of the squadrons closest to the new force.

"Command this is Strigoi Squadron we're getting visual of reinforcements, requesting permission to deviate from mission and engage the new forces.

"Strigoi Squadron visual of reinforcements confirmed. Permission to intercept granted. New orders are to engage the reinforcements and protect the fleet.

Amur could feel her body tense knowing that the calm formation flight was now about to turn into a hectic furball.

"You heard command, get ready to engage. We'll start with any fighters and bombers they scramble. Remember you don't need to kill every last one, just prevent them from attacking the fleet. IT was go time and soon a chorus broke out amongst the squadron as each member confirmed their orders and engaged.

    "Strigoi 12 roger, engaging."

The flying v of Strigoi Squadron loosened up to form an attack formation and started to head towards the wolfpack of ships. They may not be much but a flanking force no matter how small it was could do a hell of a lot of damage.

Time to dive into the fireworks.

Mid was on the bridge of the lead Audacious-class Corvette, fully armed and armoured as always. He was temporarily put in command of the fleet to crumble Concordia's resistance. So far they were doing just that. To the rear and right of his Corvette was the supporting Malfeasance-class Corvette in charge of covering the small fleet. at the bottom of the diagonal line was the third Corvette, another Audacious-class.

"Aim for their bridges and turrets, I want them dead in the water!" he shouted at the gunnery crews. The turrets hurled crimson bolts at the enemy ships, their shields starting to crumble with every hit. The turbolasers were also not helping their situations...

"Sir, enemy ships coming out of hyperspace!" an officer called out. Mid looked at the scanners with a glare. That glare turned into a hearty laugh when he saw the ID's of the ships. "Looks like we have a joker coming at us." he said coldly with a grin. He opened a channel for everyone to hear, Mandalorians and Sith alike. "Lo and behold! A rag-tag Dar'manda fleet too poor to use their own ships!" he taunted over the channel before cutting off. "Scramble all fighters and get ready to open fire. And make sure my ship is ready in case they try anything funny." he ordered.

His own troops were split up. With his remaining 38 he sent 20 out in Crux-class fighters to meet the attacking ships, though they weren't even in the vicinity of the battle right now. They were outside of scanner range, waiting for Mid's word to attack. The rest were on board his Corvette along with other troops ready for a ground assault or to repel boarders.

"This is going to be interesting." he muttered with a sadistic grin.

Shor frowned as he counted at least 32 fighters approaching them, the twelve accompanying the MM10 bombers quickly surrounding the bombers to protect them while through the radio he could hear them chatter. "Approaching enemy fighters, prepare for contact!" the chief of the fighter squadron said. The bomber chief said "Alright guys, they'll try to intercept us. Keep in formation and not too far from eachother so we can protect each other with our turrets. Our objective are the three corvettes, even though taking down one will already be enough because of all these fighters" The chief had a thick Corellian accent. Shor barked at his companions "Did you hear the captain? Get ready as soon the ride will get bumpy! I'll do my best with evasive maneuvers but we'll have to keep in formation. So gunners, MAKE EVERY BULLET WORTH!" As he said so, the two groups of ships met, and the battle started.

The Imperial corvettes had more or less been stationary. Meanwhile the two mandalorian vessels were full steam ahead. It was not long before the two Mandalorian capital craft were already halfway across the weapons max range. That was when the first batteries belonging to the sith ships began slamming into the forward shields. The mandalorian ships fired off all batteries along with small craft. The bombers were not in range for their bomb payloads to be dropped however they each had two torpedo tubes. The combined number of proton torpedos totaled twelve.

The MM5 Marev starfighters made evassive manuevers to avoid the laser cannon batteries that had fired towards them. All of them began firing off missiles. They needed to damage the large vessels as much as they could. They did not detect the enemy starfighters yet since they were too far away. But they knew that if contacts came into range they would swarm around to intercept since any enemy vessels still had to enter the scanning range to make an attack run.

The bombers' onboard turrets aided in defending themselves along with the upgraded shields. The laser cannon gunners kept an eye on their scopes to make sure they were not getting jumped by small craft. Able to tank numerous amounts of enemy fire, the delay in destruction was enough to force their enemies to worry about evading just as much as attacking since they did not have any shields. Able to still avoid some damage from the corvettes due to their small size and fast approach they were able to shrug off a shot or two from a turret allwoing them to close the distance in a few moments.

The numerous imperial ships had their weapons sure, but the mandalorian counter parts were not helpless. In fact Burkhart had seen to additional weaponry being added to the Sol'yc Mer'sheb. The mandalorians around him in the hangar moved into a dropship. The other corvette doing the same. The pilots had orders to exit the hangar when the two corvettes were within a length of the ship from one another. By then it would be a quick exiting from their own hangar and into the enemy's without having to deal with the dogfight or getting tracked by the corvettes' turrets. THe VXN dropships could handle themselves in a fight but for this they were focusing on transporting each a cargo full of mandalorians and in Burkhart's he had his basilisk war droid in the cargo. It stirred, ready for boarding actions.

Seeking to avoid shenanigans, the Monk stuck with the largest kid on the block, the ship's captain, Burkhart. Following him down to the drop pods, he briefly considered hopping on the back of the Basilisk Droid - but, thinking better of it, merely strapped himself into one of the drop pods. Turning his head slightly to face the austere looking Mandalorian next to him, Jan double-checked what e had to do.

    Oxygen mask on.

    Belt attached.

    Easy.

He waited for the pods to launch.

The corvettes were still hammering at the crumbling Mandalorian defence, but in that moment the last ship was dead in the water leaving Mid's tiny fleet to move how they saw fit. The fighters launched went head to head with the powerful Mandalorian wings while the capital ships finally turned around. They took on a Y-shape, with the Audacious corvettes in front and the Malfeasance corvette sheltered behind to provide covering fire.

The captured clown corvette was screaming as ir headed for them, but Mid didn't budge. As it neared the halfway line the combined turbolaser batteries locked onto its bridge and pommeled away, backed by the turrets that helped to whittle down the second corvette's shields as well. One on one, the Sith would have trouble on their hands, but in this situation they had the upper hand. The Sol'yc Mer'sheb's shields would crumble and the turbolasers would blow apart the bridge to leave the captured corvette stranded and dead in the void. The other ship would be even less lucky, as the Sith turrets wouldn't stop shooting until it blew apart with all hands on deck. Though they would be prepared to change target quickly enough at the order. Mid would feel the deaths in the force, drawing strength from it for the duration of the fight.

These efforts, unfortunately, wasn't enough to cut off the Mandalorian boarding groups. But Mid had a plan for that. "All squadrons, now!" he barked into the long range comms. A second or two later his 20 fighters zipped into the thick of the fight, cannons blazing and missiles flying. The Malfeasance corvette also didn't make things easier as its anti-air turrets targeted the enemy fighters and bombers, easily able to keep up with them and shred them to pieces. His ambush harassed the bombers and enemy fighters, using the surprise to blow the fighters apart and hammer away on the bombers and scatter the formations before they could reach the capital ships. For the Mandalorian dropships he also had a plan. His fighters were also standing by for any new orders. From his spot on the bridge he kept an eye on the ships. Scanners indicated 25 life forms, one of which bared remarkable resemblance to the war hero Burkhart Kelborn. What concerned him was the scanner reading indicating an abnormally large droid in one of the ships...did that crazy karking dog really pack a bloody Basilisk in for this boarding?!

Mid couldn't help but laugh out of astonishment. He had heard and read of Mandalorians and their lack of subtlety, but to see it in real life was truly an experience worth remembering. "I want fighters sticking into that hangar and blow that Basilisk to kingdom come!" he shouted and the order was instantly transferred. The result was some fighters would literally hover in place, just sticking their noses into the hangar's shields to fire cannons and missiles at the Basilisk to disable it if not completely obliterate it. Mid also made his way to the hangar Burkhart touched down in. His gear was ready as always. He drew the force into him, hatching a plan to take out that droid if his crazy plan didn't work by some ludicrous chance. His lightsabers and other tricks were also ready to repel these boarders.

"Tally ho! Bombers with escorts. Four flights of of three fighters." Strigoi called over the comms as Amur scanned the nav computer and the sensor suite confirming everything. They were at parity with the enemy forces not factoring fighters, damn. Strigoi though was still grouped together as one unit while the Mandalorians were spread out to provide cover, it was possible to overwhelm the individual flights but that advantage would quickly wither away the longer the engagement took.

Suddenly broadcasting on an open channel was a familiar voice chastising the Mandalorian fleet. It took a moment for the scorched sith to register who was talking then realizing it was Mid. It seemed like the two had a habit of running into eachother when things went FUBAR.

"Who the hell is that idiot talking over a open comm?" A member Strigoi squadron called out in disbelief.

"That person is backup and the last pureblood you ever want to call idiot Strigoi 5." That growl seemed to shut the pilot up who decided to turn his focus on the fighters as Strigoi 1's voice entered the comms.

"Focus! Now I just got word from the Corvettes, they're scrambling fighters, but it's to act as a barrier ambush. That means we're flying feet first into hell. We're going to give the escort fighters a beating and disorient them, open the bombers up for our allies. Strigoi 2 thru 6 on my count break to starboard and climb we'll dive down on one flight and engage the remaining. Strigoi 7 thru 12 break to port and descend, climb up and overwhelm another flight after that it will be chaos." Strigoi one called as the squadron was barreling towards the mandalorian flights. As the fighters neared weapons range with the mandalorian fighters about to commit to an attack angle, Stirgoi one counted down and gave the command.

With an unnerving precision Strigoi squadron split into two groups in one smooth maneuver. The two groups using their different approaches to box the escorts. as the portside group began its climb expending their combined firepower and numbers to overwhelm a flight of 3 fighters, the nearby flight quickly trying to intercept and cover their allies. The other two flights encountering same problem as they encouter the starboard group of Strigoi squadron. The fighters were also hyperdrive equipped models which meant that they were on equal footing when compared to the crux coming down to the skill and tactics of the pilots to decide a victor. Amur managed to snag a kill during the opening volley.

After the initial strike the two groups of six crux fighters broke their formation, and a dogfight broke out amongst the mandalorian and Sith fighters. As the two groups began their collective dances of death, the bombers would try to their best to provide covering fire for the escorts but as the dogfight intensified they would also face the possibility of inflicting friendly fire. The Sith fighters trying their best to keep the escorts occupied as they both slowly whittled down eachother.

When the 20 fighters lying in wait we're given the order to attack, the remaining madalorian fighters and the bombers still on an attack run would now have to face fresh forces that began to outnumber them. In the wave of this attack Amur's options began to open up as the new fighters provided relief. Her craft luckily undamaged, she also still had her full armament of missiles taking care to conserve them for the bombers. Her sights turned to a mandalorian bomber (@samdragon) that was going like a bat out of hell. The bomber going through the main engagement. It's tail was exposed to the Sith pilot. Amur would begin to accelerate to full speed to intercept the bomber. Amur kept her movements erratic and random in order to try and evade the incoming fire from the gunners, whilst also trying to find a blind spot in the turrets cone of fire. She would start with laser fire to weaken the bombers shields before resorting to her limited missiles.

The radio screamed as the bombers were attacked, the pilots struggling to keep the formation while they dodged and zigzagged to avoid the hits and fighters. All the pilots in the bombers were obviously pretty skilled, but some of their gunners weren't the best, as their shots mostly didn't hit their targets, even though they kind of managed to at least repel them.
Shor growled as he saw the fighter chasing them, doing his best to do evasive maneuvers while still focusing on reaching the closest of the Corvettes. "Kark dammit, take that kriffing fighter down or at least try to repel it!" he yelled in the intercom, the gunners giving a not-so-manly squeak of fear at the Wookiee's outburst. Shor and the other bombers were steadily approaching the Corvettes, almost to torpedo range, and he grinned as he flipped some switches. "Prepare the torpedoes!" he said. He activated the aiming aid for the torpedoes, which started calculating the optimal distance to shoot the torps and their trajectory... Meanwhile the two gunners were doing their best to avoid the fighter ( @Amur ) to shoot their bomber down.

As the freighter came out of hyperspace he blankly but with a raised eyebrow stares into the speckles of fleets he had just stumbled into. Removing his helmet revealed a grin forming around his face. He had imagined what it felt like to be apart of space battles, fortunately he was about to find out.

He wasnt all prepared of course, he needed some help from his brethren after all. Even if he was more of a loner and a brute, he wasnt insane enough to take on a whole armada!

Ekbar patches himself into a channel and spoke over the intercom as casually as he can to any nearby Kelborn that also was in proximity of his comms.

Loaded into the dropship and waiting the three sith corvettes and two mandalorian corvettes exchanged salvo after salvo with one another. Combined with the aided damage output of the bombers the Sith ships were easily taking just as much cripling damage as they had put out.

Whomever was commanding the sith small craft had not accounted for the amount of time it would take for them to reach the ongoing engagement. Space was vast and while they were fast starfighters the delay was enough for the numerous mandalorians starfighters to turn and meet the thirty two starfighters that had been apart from the rest of the flotilla. In addition the bombers had time to let loose their bomb compliment, holing numerous parts of each of the Sith corvettes. It was then that the Imperial corvettes released their starfighters. Too little too late though as the mandalorians were already on the enemy battle group.

Burkhart could tell from the actions of the Sith forces that they were reactive, slow, not preemptive. When the mandalorians attacked the Sith forces were only starting to move to intercept and not anticipate to defend against those attacks. They seemed content just taking damage just as much as they were dishing out if not taking even more. That was fine by the Field Marshal. More bruised sith meant less guns firing back at them.

The Sol'yc Mer'sheb's shields did fall but so did each of the corvettes. The Malfease ship started falling towards the moon's surface as its lights flickered and died. The other audacious class was soon following suit. The mandalorians had focused on those two more than the one Burkhart intended to board though the shots fired from the bombers and the two mandalorian corvettes would also have reduced the number of weapons on the ship's frame.

The Sol'yc Mer'sheb and its nynir cohort had their keels facing the sith ships. Any attack against their bridges would be blocked by the rest of their hull. But that did not exactly help. The plating was hammered away, compartments vented air and the nynir class corvette was looking no better than the other audacious class corvette under the Sith's control.

    ♣♣♣
Meanwhile, inside the skin of the last remaining Sith Corvette was Burkhart atop his basilisk war droid. Around him were a platoon of mandalorians shooting the hangar crew of the vessel. This was not the first time he had flown head first into an unwelcome sith hangar and would not be the last. The enemy starfighters had just flown out and continued to fly around until the security onboard realized that they were needed back inside to defend against the Morling's boarding action.

The bombers were occupied at that time focusing on the other two corvettes that would inevitablly and literally, go down in flames. The MM5 starfighters were heading to hold off the incoming swarm of Sith starfighters. There was still a reason why Burkhart was storming the corvette. He would not be doing it if he felt his own forces could win via combat externally. There was space in the hangar for four starfighters and one shuttle. The shuttle still remained inside and now the dropship was taking up one of the deck spaces that the starfighter had previously come in.

Corvettes were not large and they two remaining starfighters would have to come in two by two, allowing the Mandalorians to bottle neck them of sorts. The moment one starfighter came in the basilisk's raised head opened up its tremendously devastating array of plasma cannons. The heavy damage proceeded to literally flash melt the body of the starfighter allowing the two wings to be all that remain which fell to the deck in a resounding cecophany. The VXN dropship's laser cannons racked the body of the second starfighter having it reach a similar fate as burning debris harmlessly inside the hangar. Two sith starfighters tried after the initial duo but the bottle neck of the opening force them to get cut down without issue.

With that completed Burkhart dismounted from his basilisk. Directing six of his marauders to join him the Field Marshal headed towards the bridge, intent on storming it and taking control of the enemy corvette. Clan Solus were not the only clan capable of taking a Sith ship. Meanwhile the remaining marauders would hold down the hangar. The Alor's war droid stayed sentinel, ready to continue to harry any sith ships or returning vessels that tried to enter the hangar.

I asked @KinkyPrawn to make several changes in his post but he was unable to due to rl complications. As such I'm compensating a little bit for it in my post since there were some contradictions or issues that weren't corrected. He also state he might not be returning to posting in this thread due to the real life obligations.

The attack was a total blunder, with all his ships knocked out and his squadrons all doing their own thing. But Mid didn't care about any of that right now. As for the Basilisk, he had a plan. He ordered the bridge to drop the ray shield keeping the atmosphere in the corvette's hangar. The loss of pressure would be powerful enough to suck any troopers in there as well as that droid out into the void before the emergency shields could close. It would also be enough time to fire a bunch of missiles at it and the dropship to take them out while avoiding getting shot.

Mid was ready for action as he marched through the hallways. He could feel Burkhart's presence getting closer and closer. He trusted the bridge crew and squadrons to take control of the fight out there. Right now he had a bigger worry making its way through his ship. Taking a chance he ordered his remaining 12 soldiers to make their way to his location, using surveillance info from the bridge to locate the Mandalorian. Deciding to even the odds he set up a crossfire ambush to take out the Mandalorian footsoldiers, leaving him and Burkhart alone to engage in the hallway of the ship heading towards the bridge.

Mid stood in the middle of the hallway with his lightsaber in one hand and a blaster in the other. To say the Mandalorian was big was an understatement. A lot different than holograms or pictures. He and Burkhart were practically identical in size. This is going to be an interesting fight to say the least.

"Going somewhere, mutt?" he asked flatly, igniting his crimson blade and crossguards.

The fragile fighter was diving and weaving as it dawned on Amur that the bomber she was attacking would be nearing Torpedo range. The two gunners launching a hail of fire towards the Sith's fighter. Some of it managing to make purchase as if flailed and ricocheted off the weak body, tearing off small parts of the body and burning holes. A part of the Sith wanted to keep going to get just a few more seconds of blaster burst to make sure the bomber shields would be weak enough to not tank any missile fire. Amur also realized that it could spell her death knell to risk such a thing.

As the fighter closed in and in the corner of Amur's eye was the sight of the Mandalorian ships. They had charged and were now within a completely suicidal range of the imperial corvettes. Desperate to give the Empire a bloody nose even if it meant they all died in the process. A blaster bolt grazing her fighter at a place uncomfortably close to the cockpit jarred the Sith's attention back to the Fighter. Time was running out and the bomber was getting ready to deliver its payload. The soldier and pilot in her had respect for whoever was flying the mandalorian fighter braving fire and brimstone to complete his mission. Turning on the navigation system for the Crux's concussion missiles. Amur now having to keep her fighter within a thin field of view for the tracking system to pick up the bomber and get a lock. Sending whatever blaster fire she could in short burst to weaken the shields.

After a tense few seconds that seemed to last for hours, the beeping tone of the guidance system finally going to solid dull electronic groan. Amur fired off a concussion missile towards the bomber (@samdragon) as the Sith now frantically pulled away, her fighter now having a noticeable trail of either smoke, coolant or any number of potential fluids. Unable to tell if her missile hit and whether or not the bomber had succeeded in dropping it's payload. The Sith would instead have to take into account that the performance of her craft was quickly degrading as the controls grew more sloppy and unstable as time progressed.

"Strigoi 1, this is Strigoi 12. Withdrawing due to battle damage." There was no response back over the comms as a eerie sensation took over her Sith.

    "Strigoi 1? over."

    "Strigoi 1?"

She could hear the chaotic chatter over the comms but none of her impromptu flight lead. Probably another casualty of this battle. Shame... The scorched acolyte began to withdraw until she heard about a call out for anyone to clear out resistance in a Mandalorian city. TheSith took up the other and began to guide her damaged, limping craft over to the new location. Emotions where brewing in the Sith. It wasn't hate, anger or anything of that sort, it was just one simple note that rang through the Sith. Sadness.
