As a fourteen year old, Eddard was just at the stage of his development where he thought he was invincible, where he had the cockiness that came from the right mixture of skill, talent and natural adolescent arrogance. It was the main reason why he hadn't been concerned when one of the Sith Masters had told him that he and another Sith in training, by the name of Zarya, had been selected for a new training mission.

He had the self-confidence to 'know' that no matter what they threw at him right now, he could handle it. He was tough enough, he was skilled enough and he was smart enough.

And then the dropship they were in landed atop a decrepit building in the poor inner section of a city he had never seen before... and Eddard began to realise that he had underestimated his instructors or, perhaps, overestimated himself.

Eddard and Zarya were pushed out of the dropship by their instructor, who stood on the ramp of the dropship and looked down on them.

"You two are excelling in your classes and this is excellent." he explained with a small smirk, "However, excellence in an academy environment isn't enough. You both have the advantage of a home life that lend themselves to learning many Sith teachings early. But that will not help you today..."

He tossed a datapad to them each - showing a picture of themselves with a bounty. Eddard and Zarya had a bounty of five thousand credits each if they were taken alive. The only consolation was that there was no bounty if they were killed, so even the most zealous of bounty hunters would be less gung-ho about the whole thing.

"Your task is simple; Escape." he gestured to the city, "Your bounty extends to the city limits, once you pass those? You are safe and we shall extract you. But until then? You are alone, save each other, and everything is OSP."

    Wait...

    "Sir... what is OSP?"

The instructor grinned, obviously having been waiting for the question. With a wave of his hand, all of the weapons the two teens had on them went flying into the back of the dropship, leaving entirely defenceless.

"On Site Procurement. You have six hours, students, before the local police force are dispatched to find you... or your corpses. Endure, Sith-to-be, endure."

With that, the dropship closed back up and the instructor left them atop an old high rise apartment in the middle of a city that wanted them captured. Eddard watched the dropship leave for a moment before turning to Zarya. He looked at her for a moment before nodding.

    "Eddard."

They hadn't really spoken before despite being in the same classes.

    He took a deep breath.

"Alright... I think we need to prioritise getting weapons first. Then transport. Agreed?"

Zarya hadn't been there long at the academy but she had dedicated herself to her studies not that she had anything to go back to after her arrival at the academy. Her homeschooling had given her an advantage over many of the students but not all.

At 14 she had already had here famous Zeltron beauty start shining through, much to her own annoyance due to the unwanted attention of classmates. she just wanted to be left alone hopefully the classmate she was with wouldn't be distracted. she knew of her classmate, Eddard, it wasn't every day you came across a member of the Drast line, though he was not a mainline Drast which was a more common experience but still he was someone of potential note and maybe a future ally.

As she stepped off the dropship and caught the datapad looking at her bounty, she nervously swallows as memories began to fill her mind of her last night on Dromund Kaas, she was dazed for some time with a thousand-yard stare, until she felt the air of the dropship takeoff blow againest her and Eddard introducing himself.

Shaking her head slightly to regain her focus. "Zarya" she replied in kind, she listened to his suggestion but she disagreed "A disguise should be our first priority, we don't need to fight if they can't recognise us and at the moment we look like two sith acolytes." She gestured to both of their clothing they were wearing "and we should get moving as soon as we can they likely tipped the hunters the building we would be dropped at." she said beginning to make her way to the door that led to the apartments below.

    Hmm good points.

A disguise would be something that they could use and it would give them a second or two before they were under attack, which would be enough for them to fight back. He nodded to her in agreement at the point about getting a disguise. At the point about the hunters being tipped off, Eddard placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Exactly - so why would we go through the same building?"

Picking up a rock from the rooftop, he threw it with unerring accuracy at a window on a building opposite them, not too far away. The window shattered and the glass fell away.

    "Let's move!"

Taking a running start, Eddard threw himself off of the roof with his arms and legs tucked in close. He flew through the air and straight through the open window, rolling to a stop in a civilian's apartment. Looking around quickly, he snatched up a coat and threw it on over his Sith clothing before snatching a large kitchen knife up.

    Both would do for now.

Behind him on the other building the door broke open as a trio of armed bounty hunters emerged onto the roof they had started on. They noticed the broken window and started to blast away at the window, trying to hit them through the gap. Slamming his shoulder hard against the door, Eddard broke their way through the lock and into the main corridor.

"Move - emergency stairs on the other side of the building, avoid the main exit!"

Walking towards the access door, she stopped and turned to face Eddard as he asked his rhetorical question, watching him as he threw the rock against the window, she was mildly impressed by his quick thinking and cursed herself under her breath for not thinking of that herself.

She quickly followed behind him landing a couple of seconds after him, quickly grabbing another coat and a scarf, still following close behind Eddard as blaster fire open up behind her. Once in the hallway she followed Eddards advice and headed for emergency stairs before she arrived at them she pulled a fire alarm on the wall.

"That will make it easier for us," she said as she pushed open the door at the near top speed and proceeding quickly down the stairs while putting on the coat and wrapping the scarf as a cowl around her head. As she proceeded down the stairs she noticed a dirty pipe that followed down the side of the stairs, ruing her finger against it a mixture of dirt and grease came across her finger, she proceeded to wipe her entire hand in the grime and rub over her face, darkening her bright skin making her noticeable to bounty hunters. Approaching the bottom of the stairs, civilians were coming out droves through the emergency exit at the bottom to many for any small group of bounty hunters to individual check, a perfect smoke for them to blend in to and shake their hunters.

Before she left the building she checked to see if Eddard was still with her, they couldn't be separated at the moment, their chances were greater if they stick togeather, hopeful that wouldn't change anytime soon.

Well seemed that she was with him and he could appreciate that - they weren't going to be getting very far if they were on their own after all. It might seem like a viable strategy but the Empire wasn't nearly as cavalier about leaving your allies to die as it's detractors would have you believe. Not every other mission ended in some betrayal or convoluted plot to kill your superior - rebellious holonet messages were all the same kind of thing and that kind of message featured prominently.

Nodding in agreement when she made to pull the fire alarm, he understood what she was going for. It wasn't hard for him to grasp and he was quickly out on the emergency stairs, taking them two at a time. Sure, the proper procedure when there was a fire was to be calm and orderly but who the hell ever thought about actually doing that when there was a fire? No, it made more sense to look like they were in a bit of a rush, even if sprinting would still stand out.

Slipping away from the building alongside the sheer mass of humanity, he caught Zarya's eye and gestured for them to take a left turn and slip into a parking complex.

"We need transport but neither of us has the tools to hotwire right now..."

Instead he led the way over to the exit, where the speeders and speeder bikes slowed to a stop to flash the auto-reader their pass to prove that they had paid for parking. He hid his knife behind his back in one hand as he approached an open-top speeder that was just coming to a stop.

    "Hello there!"

Speaking was merely to get the driver's attention and have him turn towards Eddard - exposing his neck. Eddard stabbed the man in the throat, tearing the throat out before dumping the body on the pavement. Eddard gestured for Zarya to drive as he took the passenger seat, rummaging around in the glove box.

"Keep us moving - direction doesn't matter so much as movement right now."
