    KORRIBAN
    - The Galatarian
    - Afternoon

The day burned hot on the surface of Korriban. A blistering afternoon where the sun rained unimpeded by any clouds, and there was not a breeze to be felt. It was the day that mimicked the beating rage and hatred of the Sith themselves, and the only reprieve being the sweat that would streak down a beings brow as they made the march across the harsh sands that that billowed all across the planet.

The Galatarian was not a place where such miseries were felt. Though the harsh surface of Korriban was unwelcoming at a glance, it did have some of the finer points that many planets of the Empire had to offer.

It was a building of fine construction. One part temple, one part palace. It served as a place for the lavish Sith to dote upon their success. Celebrations of power, prestige, and dominance were held in this place. It was a place for revelry and sociality amongst those powerful beings in the force. Gilded architecture rested on the walls, fine sculptures and statues of great Sith beings and conquests through the ages rested in every corner. The floors denoted great artistic expression themselves and the light of the day way brought to illuminate the entire place.

In this place many were gathered for celebration. This was no different then most days for the Galatarian, but on this day it was to honor a great conquest for the Sith.

Lothal had been nothing special for the Empire itself, but it did provide a fine position for future campaigns. And many of the higher classes did not need an excuse to gather together to celebrate their successes... and those lower Acolytes that ensured it.

There was music playing and drinks offered. Fine foods and servants to present them all.

Taalong Vorr entered the chamber, within there were many powerful beings from around the galaxy. Wealthy and famed, to congratulate each other on what little had been accomplished. Taalong Vorr was not above revelry, but he was there for a purpose. He was to report his final success on the conquest of Lothal.

In a pocket of his robe he bore the Crown of Lothal, the notation of their victory.

Many had been called to revel, but he was simply there to complete his duty and present the Crown of Lothal to his superiors.

Markov had attended the celebration as a more prominent invitee, as it was part of his job. His original job was to present the Crown to the Emperor himself with a comrade, but a celebration of the other's accomplishments made his job easier. He had wanted to meet with the Emperor at some point; perhaps to get it over with and perhaps get a mission. The Galatarian was an interesting venue to say the least, in contrast to everything else on Korriban. He had brought two of his personal bodyguards to be able to protect him if necessary, and they stood in the back of the hall unmoving and observing.

Markov have had a drink by now as he observed the party, noting who is attending and who else is a more premier guest. He had congratulated some of them on their accomplishments and how 'they'll benefit the Empire'.

He caught sight of the Acolyte (@Taalong Vorr ) standing close to the entrance. He approached the man in order to join him in presenting the crown; he didn't want to give up his duty entirely. "Welcome, Acolyte Vorr... I assume you have the crown that we would be presenting to our superiors as a token for your successes?"

He now stood beside him, waiting for the other Sith that was part of their duty.

    THEME
It was hot, but at least it was dry. Zan raised her hands to make sure her hair was tied up and out of the way despite there being a large volume of braids, dreads and locks adorned with decorative beads that went from dark black to change to a silvery white at the tips past her shoulders. She wore her normal armor, at the moment despite the heat. Hopefully inside would be better. She could always strip down to less clothes if need be.

Taalong had called everyone, or rather invited them, together to celebrate. Never one to turn down free alcohol she gladly accepted. She had forgone bringing her full armament. A blaster crossbow would not really look good or encourage her to relax. The decualian went straight to a tray of libations and grabbed two. One she drank immediatly and set the glass back on the tray, empty with barely any droplets left inside. The second she carried with her as she turned away. "Sup." she gave a nod towards each of them. Each was a bit moody but the Dark Side tended to attract quite a few of them. Zan was no ray of sun shine she supposed.

The crown she heard Markov reference she could only assume was the one she had taken from the royalty of Lothal. They had been push overs. She wondered if Markov had been the one to take the crown if he would have been flustered by someone else presenting it to their superiors. Zan did not care though. She had gotten to ride in a tank and the mission had been a success. The deucalian belched softly as she killed her second drink.

The revelry was not such that it was an out of hand festival of drunkards. Sith could not afford to be seen in such messy forms of disarray. It made the upper crust look weak, and it made the lowly acolytes look untamed. It was certainly bad all around, and one would only find that in the parties that the troopers would throw after a great victory in the barracks or in the field. Taalong Vorr had seen many in his younger years on Kalee, the Kaleesh were not ones to shy away from their share of celebratory chaos. But in his advanced age and in the presence of the mighty Sith Lords around him, he was not one such to give in to temptations.

There was a strange dynamic that was at play in the room to be certain. Several were to be recognized... but Vorr was holding the Crown. Markov who had approached him, was receiving recognition for many deeds in service to the Empire, and had been slated to present the crown. But it had been Zan who had taken the crown from the Royal Family of Lothal, leading the charge through the breech in the palace defenses and arriving first at the throne room to force their submission. Yet it was Taalong Vorr that had masterminded to the strategy and followed the assault through every step of the way to the end.

Taalong Vorr had respect for Zan. He could sense her mind was ever a wander, and he had witnessed her fight several times. A powerful and dangerous warrior she was, and reminded her of his own culture. The warrior caste of the Sith were all to uncommon, but unlike many at the top that schemed and plotted for their own gain... those of the warrior caste sought to serve in battle and let come what may. He saw her demonstrate this by indulging in the offered drink and appearing otherwise unconcerned with their purpose of being there.

Markov was a battler, and similar to Zan and Vorr. But in Vorr's eyes he seemed more interested in gaining prominence then he did. Vorr would not stand in his way, but would take note should it stand counter to the Sith teachings which they all swore by.

"I bear the crown." Vorr admitted. "This first and last time." Vorr was not concerned with keeping this trophy of his victory. He had claimed others that would suffice. The crown was not his to keep. "You seek to present it to the Lord's yourself, Acolyte Aletaus?"

"Where are they who receive it?" He asked, unfamiliar with the many powerful people before him. He thought Markov may have a better mind for navigating such a scene, as he was decisively out of his element.

As he awaited his answer he looked to Zan, finishing a second cup of mind suppressant. Before the day was done Vorr would likely have some himself, but only a small amount. He had come to an age where it took its toll on him more then it had in his younger years. He noted the warrior and thought to ask a question.

"I hear of the stirring of the Mandalorians. Rebels and cults raising riots along the borders. Fleets preparing and insolence rising." Vorr mentioned to Zan. "I sense great conflict may be on the rise." He took a cup from a servant passing by to raise a drink. "Do you dare to meet the death well, warrior?"

This was a traditional quarry in the tribe he'd hailed from, and an honor to ask. He recognized what she had done in battle and would mention it well in that setting.

Korriban. How Bob disliked Korriban. The dust ball was good for nothing but to hold the enormous ego's of archaic murder wizards and their supposed sacred secrets. It would be a mistake to say that the Empire would have reached the heights it had without the Sith, but it should have been a forgone conclusion that it would have gotten their eventually. The simple fact was, the Sith were and are, largely unnecessary and serve no purpose in government. They did inspire recruitment and some version of loyalty though, so they must be doing something right.

To say the least, Bob didn't really want to be here on this ugly planet, with not a bar in sight. But he was here for a reason at least, which was better than many of the other times he had been forced to come to the planet. I mean seriously, why can't he just relay reports on missions via hologram, and not be forced to come back here every single time. They probably think it is an honor, though it was really anything but.

He approached the little congregation of important people who drove this entertaining invasion, and forced himself into good cheer. "My friends! Lovely to see you all again, and congratulations are in order for us all!" Bob said, cackling as he toasted the group with a flask that seemed to come from nowhere.

Markov looked back, eyeing the man who was speaking to him. He was more confused to Markov. There weren't superiors to submit the prize to; no job for him to incline on. He was supposed to be here specifically to present the crown. Markov felt slightly frustrated as he continued his conversation with the other Sith. "I was sent here specifically to present it. Why shall I be here even if my job was warped? Where even is the ones who we are supposed to submit it to!" he said, teeth gritted as he felt the dark side saturate his voice; his anger bubbling slowly but surely.

It was a decently small party still, but it was hard to avoid the bumbling voice that was approaching them. @Robert Abbotangelo had appeared, almost out of thin air. Markov rolled his eyes when he caught sight of the Overseer.
"Bloodily Lovely to see you again, Overseer Abbotangelo..." he said sarcastically. He still didn't like this man much, but surely he was warming up to him by now. he held a glass of a drink, as per usual. Markov was in no mood for any drink; he was very frustrated with the situation.

"It seems I have come to this party, and wasted my time, unless a superior has been invited and will come... Anyone? Precious seconds are being lost and the Mandalorians could be plotting invasion any second now..." he was attempting to keep his cool, as it became more and more difficult. Perhaps Bob would be able to calm it before it could go to irrational levels.

When asked where their superiors were the woman just shrugged and continued to enjoy her beverage in relative silence. When he mentioned the mandalorians and other factions along she looked directly towards him. Zan was not sure if he was toasting her or not. "I intend to be the cause of death. Not the receiver of it. She responded and raised her own cup slightly before drinking a generous amount.

When the deucalian heard the approach of a familiar voice she turned to see Bob. "Sup" She said simply in greeting. The other man, a decent looking man, was complaining about the lack of their superiors being present. There was nothing they could do really unless one of them wanted to personally call and check on the reason for the delay. Complaining would do no good and it was probably not a wise decision to bug their superiors.

"Pipe down Aletus. Have another drink and enjoy the free booze." She sighed and moved to sit down in a plush seat. Zan's large frame sunk into the lavish cushion while they waited. If nobody ended up coming at least she would get a buzz going in comfort.

There was a habit Taalong Vorr had developed over the years, where he assessed people for what they were. He had few friends, and even fewer now that he had joined with the Sith. Their world revolved around climbing and betrayal. Death to prove strength, and death to prove the strength of others. Unlike the Jedi they had a strong desire for advancement in one form or another. Some sought the great power, others wanted great purpose. There were many means to achieve it, and through this and one's attitude was how Taalong Vorr could grasp what was in the heart of a Sith.

Markov was in a word, dangerous. He took on similar traits and expertise as Taalong Vorr, but for an entirely different purpose. The arrogance that Markov displayed and the sureness of youth were all overwhelming him. Though increasingly powerful, in his own age Taalong Vorr recognized that there were those around him that were rising quickly. In the end there may be a moment when they were brought against each other for a single position. Taalong Vorr had no use for position or ambition. This made him both an asset to some, and an incredible liability to other.

"It is they who summon us." Taalong Vorr mentioned regarding their mysterious superiors that called on them at will. The Dark Lords that ruled the Sith. "We are only to do as we are bid."

Vorr looked back then to Zan. Equally arrogant and defiant to Markov, she reversed the phrase which he had given. This did not bother him so much as it was more dismissive then aggressive. She likely did not take most of this seriously, which was difficult to do, especially in the place such that they were.

"Your enemies will know fear at the sight of you, and tremble even in their last moments." Vorr complimented Zan, a mutual warrior spirit to his own.

He nodded and looked on to Bob, a loyal Imperial that had served in the space forces. Though Taalong Vorr had little involvement there, he did certainly here Bob's name more and more in the days they were in, and he nodded in agreement to his toast. As it happened with the defiance of Zan to Vorr's own, he still held a drink.

He drank the tonic down, and returned the cup.

He looked then to Bob. "Your exploits become more known by the day." Vorr noted. "It is impressive one of the Empire would accomplish such feats so quickly." Vorr cocked an eyebrow. "Do you too strive for the great offensive to seize the mandalorian aggressors home from under them?" Vorr asked Bob, amidst genuine curiosity as to whether or not he would be looking towards active involvement in the imminent war to come.

Markov was as lovely as ever, truly the greatest friend a man could ever have! He even said it was bloody lovely to see Bob and that just made him the happiest old guy in the room. He didn't speak, but with a happy belly laugh Bob clapped Markov on the back, ever curious how much strength it would take to knock the boy down.

He turned to Zan, and did his best to seem 'hip' and some form of 'cool' by speaking "Wazzup?" Though, in reality he was a bit behind the times and was showing his age. He didn't care though, whatever brought him some modicum of happiness really did make minor embarrassment worth it.

To Taalong he finally turned, listening intently as he sang his praises. He put on a bit of an act, putting his hand to his lips and giving that universal 'oh stop!' wave. "No actually, personally believe we should just blockade their space. Show them the problem with their culture of raiding and strength. If they can't break through our fleets to go on their 'glorious crusades' then they show how worthless their culture really is. People will revolt, or so my rudimentary understanding of such a barbaric culture tells me." Bob chuckled as per usual. Taking a swig out of his flask soon after.

"And what of you my friends! Are you too excited for the future?"

The man, Bob, was a more uplifting individual then many that had come to this event. His reputation as an optimistic chuckler had certainly followed him from the Space over Lothal all the way here to the Galatarian. He was not so young as many of those that would soon be granted the rank of Crusader within the Sith Order, and that offered him a sort of kinship of years with the man called Bob. The Sith seemed mostly to operate on the mantra of the very old and the very young, the powerful and the power hungry. But those that were in the middle ages tended to have a bit of a difficulty standing out, especially as they moved towards to what was clearly a new age.

"I stand firm for the Empire." Taalong Vorr replied to Bob's inquiry. "As it wills, I am bid." Vorr did not place a single individual as the one who was in charge. The Empire did not require an Emperor necessarily to call itself such. It was a massive collective of the powerful, with many voices that were to give commands. Vorr was quite low on that hierarchy and did not take issue with knowing so.

A bell was rung. It was light and airy, and the music settled down.

A space was cleared for those that would present the Crown. At the other end of the fine room there were a collection of Dark Counselors of high prominence in the Empire. Though Vorr did not know their names or who they were, or even if the Emperor himself was among them, he knew well his charge. The commitment of the final subjugation of Lothal and the levying of the fine crown to the Empire to represent it had been brought to heel.

Other participants formed up with him, somewhat cordial, but a formation that was very loose. They were acolytes that had stood there upon the ground and broken through the defenses to take the crown. Many had participated, but the strategy and battle movement had been a test poised to Taalong Vorr, and it was a test that he had passed. Now he was here and ready for whatever would come next.

He removed the crown from his pocket, the gleaming silver and platinum circlet with five shimmering jewels crested into it, and held it before them. Whatever may come next he could not say, but what Vorr knew was that they had done their duty and they were prepared for whatever rewards or challenges may come after it.
