After receiving a transmission from Lieutenant Swan regarding a mission for the Galactic Alliance involving Star Squadron, the young Padawan knew he had to outfit his starfighter with some tweaks so he could fair better in the upcoming mission. As he was already close by, he'd stop off on Tatooine to pick up some parts, Seems like I'm always in the Outer Rim he thought to himself.

Upon landing at Mos Espa spaceport and stepping off his starfighter, Kyi immediately noticed how hot it was - first it was the extreme cold, iron planets and now the scorching heat of Tatooine, well at least no one could say Kyi didn't get out much.

Kyi donned his cloak and hid his lightsaber under it, he didn't want to risk any Hutts finding out he was a Jedi. He then began trekking the streets of Mos Espa, looking around and analysing the area and its inhabitants Tatooine didn't seem as bad as people have said, aside from the heat Tatooine seemed pretty decent. Kyi stopped in his tracks and realised he didn't actually know where a nearby junk dealership was and Mos Espa's inhabitants didn't look social enough to point him in the right direction.

Mae and her wing-men had only landed a short time ago, but she already had assigned them to fuel up their star fighters and reload on provisions and ammunition. She was nervous to head to the local vendors without back-up as she was extremely more comfortable in a cockpit in space than on her own two legs. She walked slowly out of the hanger where they had landed and looked around before looking up at the nearest landmark. She had her navigator on her, but it would be smart to get a line of sight on her location as well in case she got lost. She then pulled out her navigator and marked her location on it too. She then located the nearest street of vendors to her location and set a route to find them.

On her way, she noticed a few children at play in one of the courtyards. It reminded her of more innocent times and wished she was little once more and had the war and rebellion not yet in her life. She was snapped back into reality as a vendor caught notice of her and started his sales pitch for his shield modulators and power alternators. She was tempted to look at them, but she was here to sell, not buy. She had a mixed load from her recent heist, and could tell that this was a selling vendor only, and she needed to find a buyer or a reasonable fence for her more pricey and illegal equipment.

Mae continued to wonder the vendor fronts in search of the right buyer.

The poor standards of living and hard conditions on Tatooine meant little distinguished one town from another. Shallow, wide-mouthed canyons split the routes that settled in the practically lawless town of Mos Espa. The market place and pod races were all the landscape had going for itself. Even Thyrza, who had been living there all her life, could agree. The farms and sunsets weren't too bad though. However, it was towns like this where you could meet the ‘interesting’ individuals.

Between the labyrinth of dusty streets and at the end of the market stalls sat a junkyard where a certain female mechanic of droids, pods, and ships happened to work. A faded tarp hung off the building’s exterior. It was no illegal business but, she couldn’t say how most of the parts ended up in their shop. Most off-worlders who neglected their ships would only return to find parts missing. This wasn’t how Thyrza liked to work though. In fact, outside of hours, she did things for free— purely because she liked to. Yet, this didn’t stop her from teasing people or giving them a hard time before she did the job.

Speaking of which, she was ‘on the job’ now.

Thyrza’s tanned hands worked tirelessly at a stubborn bolt that wouldn’t come loose. It was only when her frustration began to grow when it was interrupted by a clatter.

“Get out of here,” she grumbled -politely- to a child whose grubby fingers had greased all over brand new droid parts. It wasn’t that Thyrza hated children, it was quite the opposite really, but she rather disliked when they missed with her shit. Especially if that ‘shit’ was worth a lot of money, and could mean her next pay-check, or new jewellery from the markets for her mother. “I’ve told you not to touch that. Now, please, go on.”

The kid was a repeat-offender, and sometimes helped the woman with her less-important jobs. However, the current droid she was working on could not afford to be destroyed by the hands of a fascinated child. Admittedly, when she was younger, Thyrza would have done the same — more sneakily perhaps, and it would have been her father telling her off. Hearing her warning, the child ran off, grumbling something about maintenance droids that could do a better job than her. In response, she flipped him off, tip of her middle finger missing.

Quick as the kid left, she resumed cleaning the shop up… including the newly marked finger prints. As she swept up, she eyed the busy stalls outside. Her brown eyes lingered on a boy who seemed lost… or perhaps just unsure. This planet was inhabited by a rough sort, so it was understandable when people felt unsafe, or watched. Nonetheless, tatooine locals, such as Thyrza herself, could spot a foreigner from miles away. Though, it wasn’t hard to pick the young, dark-haired boy from the lot. He had even stopped in his tracks - as if waiting for the desert to give him the answers. Or hoping someone was kind enough to offer directions.

Thyrza almost felt sorry but it was the way of the sand world, buddy.

Kyi looked around for anyone who seemed friendly, strangely enough he sensed another Force-sensitive close by which peaked his curiosity but he had decided to brush it off and focus on his current task. After about a minute of looking around to ask someone for directions, he spotted a Jawa buying some equipment at one of the vendors, a Jawa seemed like the least intimidating person to talk to and Jawas were known junk dealers so it made the most sense to approach. Kyi calmly made his way toward the Jawa, the Jawa had their back turned so he had to make his presence known to it by clearing his throat, the Jawa turned around and looked up at Kyi and began speaking Jawa Trade Language but judging by the tone it seemed to be a question - probably something along the lines of "What do you want?"

Kyi had no idea how to speak Jawa Trade Language but hoped that it would understand Basic, "Sorry to bother you but do you know where the best place to buy ship parts are? Or even the best mechanic you know?" the freckle-faced Padawan asked and the Jawa responded, thankfully it understood basic, the Jawa went on in Trade Language while pointing at a small structure behind Kyi with a faded tarp hanging from its exterior. Kyi turned around to find where the Jawa was pointing, there he saw, what he thought, was the most beautiful young woman he'd ever seen, at a stall - around his age, maybe older, he couldn't tell as the Tatooine suns hadn't aged her in the slightest, she had freckles and tanned skin, like him, with big brown eyes and dark chestnut hair. The Padawan began to feel butterflies fluttering around swiftly in his stomach, Oh kriff he thought, he'd found women attractive in the past but he'd never felt this way before and had no idea how to process these feelings - something his Jedi training neglected to teach him.

After a few moments of deliberating, he finally built up the courage to approach the young woman - he did need the parts after all. Kyi stopped to see her working on...something, he wasn't a mechanic, the Padawan was flustered and his palms began to sweat; he had no idea how to open up the conversation. Attempting to speak, all that could come out was a prolonged
    "Hhhhi there."

Mae approached a new vendor, one that did not immediately stand and try to sell her something. This was a good change of pace, as selling was harder than she thought. The young woman did, however, have a scolding look on her face as if she was just burned by a plasma conduant or insulted by a nerf herder.

Before Mae could open up dialog with the merchant, a young man stepped forward and awkwardly said "Hhhhi there". Mae was not very familiar with flirting but she thought the tone was somewhat in that range. She paused and decided to observe the interaction between the two before she would interrupt. She pretended to browse the droid parts at the stand as she kept a view of the two out of the corner of her eye.

The sweeping action did not halt, not even when she saw a Jawa point in her shop’s direction. Not even when the freckled boy began walking towards the structure. She begged internally that he wasn’t there just to be around, to maybe touch her shit like that child had earlier. When there were too many people in her work space, it felt a whole lot more than just crowded. It got frustrating to share a space with nuisances. Not that any of the clients were nuisances…she supposed people would just have to catch her on a pretty ‘good’ day.

Thyrza had little time to act as if she wasn’t looking in his direction. It wasn’t as if staring was uncommon, or that merely looking at someone was a crime. But, it was obvious she was an avid people-watcher, certainly with the way her gaze remained loosely glued to whomever she deemed her prey of the day. When she watched you, she made no move to keep it a secret, perhaps she’d even laugh in their face if they had done something ridiculous. And on Tatooine, or anywhere really, there was always something or someone ridiculous to laugh at. Especially down at the casinos…

As the flustered looking boy entered, her brown eyes followed his steps. The fast-moving gait had blown in some sand upon entry. There was no sandstorm yet…Those sandstorms were dangerous, and Thyrza or the two people who had entered the shop would never make it back to their ships or homes in time. Only if it were to occur now that it. Luckily the citizens of Tatooine were prepared for such things, hence the tarp outside too. Upon further thought, if there were to be a sandstorm — they would’ve known by now. Not even a sandstorm would stop this freckled kid’s roll, she thought, bemused.

It was a very smooth thing to hear… the introduction could use a little work. The entry too…

    To the boy she said,

”Hey,” - Thyrza only managed a small greeting herself before she burst out in a short-lived chuckle. She couldn’t even attempt to respond in a manner she usually did. As amusing as it would have been to watch him suffer, the dark haired boy didn’t need that. Quickly, she composed herself, and took another look at him. He was far taller than she was, she only stood at around 1.62 metres, almost average but taller than her mother at least. The boy also seemed younger by a few years, though not too much.

On a second attempt to compose herself, she leant against the broom she had been sweeping the sand with. Then, she spoke once again, the laughter still hiding beneath her voice, “Hi. Is there something you think i can help you with? I saw someone point you in my direction. You looked a little lost, and still do…”

The tanned woman spared a glance at yet another stranger, the other female had a scowl on their face but seemed interested enough browsing droid parts… either that or eavesdropping. You never knew in this shop - crazy things have happened, most of which included off-worlders. Thyrza hadn’t forgotten about the other person who had followed behind the boy, it was why she spared her a glance, and nodded.

Either person was either here to sell or buy parts, or get something fixed. Thyrza was certainly not the best mechanic in all of Mos Espa, but she was someone who wouldn’t rip you off, or trick you to steal your parts.

Nonetheless, she was interested in how the young boy would respond… hopefully in more than two words.

Of course her voice matched her looks, Kyi was completely taken with the young woman. Kyi found himself staring intensely at her big brown eyes - there was something about them that made him feel butterflies every time. When she asked him what he needed he had completely forgotten what he was actually there for in that moment, the Padawan let out a nervous chuckle before rubbing the back of his neck. Regaining his composure, he cleared his throat.

    "Yeah, I'm a little lost. I was told...at least I think I was, I don't understand Jawa Trade Language--"
Kyi noticed he had begun to ramble and caught himself before he made even more of a fool of himself, "Uh, that's not important! Anyway, I think I was told you were a good mechanic...or that your shop was the best for parts--" the rambling started again and he noticed the woman raise her eyebrow at him, unsure if he was unimpressed, confused or amused he went back on track with why he was there "Let me start again, my name's Kyi and I need...parts for my starfighter, it's been outfitted with some old tech and I need it up to standard." he said in his most "professional" voice possible, he neglected to include the important parts as he didn't want to compromise the mission.

Kyi noticed a petite woman in the shop, much smaller than the one he was speaking to right now - she seemed shady but he felt the Force within her, was this the Force-sensitive person he had sensed in the market? No way was it a coincidence that they ended up in the same shop together, the Force had brought them together for something, that much was clear. But for what?

Mae put the droid parts down and entered the small shop. She thought it small or small time because it was not like the shops on the mid or inner rim worlds. No displayed manifests of available tech and gear. No this was a browse at your own pace and scrounge type establishment.

Mae looked around through the piles of tech looking for anything of interest while she waited for an opportunity to talk to the merchant herself. She also was curious of what type of components and tech this merchant was looking to buy.

Just as Mae was about to give up on her search for anything of interest, a large box in the corner labeled "K312 parts" caught her gaze. She walked over and began to look through the box finding many components to to the K312 guidance system in various stages of disrepair.

"Not bad, could do something with these" she thought to herself, still waiting for her chance to speak with the merchant.

“A good shop for parts or the best mechanic, hey?” Thyrza wasn’t going to deny it. Despite it being a Timur family trait, modesty failed her in turn of humour.

“Well, either of those statements could be true, depending on who you asked.” She gave a single shoulder shrug. Shortly after playing coy, a smug smile made its way on her face - brows raising with the laughter that followed. “Of course, if you ask me... I am the best, in Tatooine anyway. Listen, you’ve come to the right place. But I’m a better mechanic than this place is a store.”

The stockpile of droid parts and miscellaneous items could be off putting to someone who didn’t know their way around the store, or to someone who didn’t want to spend more than an hour searching. It was exactly why Thyrza had labelled what she could, and organised bits by alphabetical order and function. Her boss had no complaints, she practically ran the store - not that she minded. It filled time she’d otherwise spend idly waiting. And of course, it got her an alright salary that could’ve been better... but this place wasn’t know for its wealth among people like her.

“However... if you insult my cleaning, I’m going to have to kill you.”

All banter aside, Thyrza listened intently to what this Kyi boy asked for. She had also noticed a change in his tone though hadn’t picked up on what it was meant to be. It reminded her of when children tried to act older. Yet, Kyi didn’t / really / have to pretend, he didn’t seem to be too far away from adulthood, and she certainly wouldn’t treat him like a child.

“Okay then, Kyi, welcome to Tatooine — I’m assuming you haven’t been here considering how lost you looked.” Continuing with an amused look, she introduced herself. “My name is Thyrza, and I can get you those parts.”

Finally, she set aside the broom. She’d perhaps sweep once more when the two people in the shop left. “Tell me a bit more about this starfighter of yours, yeah? For instance, what parts are you after and what model is your ship?”

Thyrza called out to the other woman, the one whose face appeared to hold only a scowl, “I see you looking at those parts.”
She waved, gesturing for the other to join Kyi and herself. “Walk with us and you can tell me what you’re after,” the mechanic could definitely handle more than one client. She would wait for the stranger to speak, if the other wanted to anyway.

The tanned woman’s brown gaze returned to Kyi’s. Thyrza then resumed their previous conversation, “Have there been any other complications, Kyi? With your ship I mean. ”

She needed as much information as she could, otherwise she’d just have to go look at the ship herself.

He responded to the young woman's question about him never being to Tatooine before with a nod and a chuckle, she guessed right, did he really look that lost? Boy, did he need a better poker face. After that, she introduced herself as Thyrza - it was a pretty name which Kyi thought matched her looks perfectly, he let out a soft smile at Thyrza in response to learning her name which he hoped wasn't a creepy-looking smile to her. Thyrza then went on to ask Kyi to tell her more about his starfighter.

Kyi would have to think carefully and consider his words as he couldn't disclose any information about Operation: Keynote. "Uh, well...It's a Malla-class stargither. Wookiee made." he said before pausing, Kyi wasn't actually sure what parts he would need for his ship as he had no idea about ship mechanics - he figured he'd better start learning seeing as he was also a pilot now. "Well, I'm not actually sure what it needs. All I know is, it's sort of sluggish when I fly it. I don't think my starfighter has had maintenance in a while." he added on.

    Before she responded to his answer, Thyrza called over the other woman in the shop - the shorter, Force-sensitive woman. Kyi was somewhat disappointed as he wanted one-on-one time with the tanned beautiful mechanic...before realising that was creepy and that he was already showing signs of passion - which led to the Dark Side, he'd have to reign his feelings in. Thyrza turned her gaze to Kyi once more which made the Padawan's legs feel like jelly, she asked if there were any other complications with his starfighter, he struggled to find his words again;
"I'm not really sure." he said with defeat, he felt guilty as he wasn't being very helpful.

Mae hears the merchant call her over and she quickly makes her way over to the pair. She is a little hesitant to interrupt the two who seem to be clicking in some fashion or another. "I was originally looking for a vendor to sell my cargo too" Mae responds to the young womans inquiry on what she needed and hands the woman a digital manifest of her cargo. "However, I stumbled upon a box of parts back there that I would also be interested in trade for." She finishes.

Mae allows the woman to process what she has stated as the man informs her about his ship and the problem he is having. Mae bows her head to let the woman process all the information thrown at her and under her breath mutters "Malla-class starfighters are poorly or cheaply built, they often have problems with the inertial dampeners which are located within the bulk of the engine of that type model. That is probably why you feel its flying a bit sluggish."

As soon as she had uttered the words, she wished that she had not. He was clearly asking the mechanic and not her, and by her giving her opinion, it now is clear that Mae was monitoring their conversation a bit too closely.

“Starfighter?” She gave him a look, eyes trailing up and down, surveilling him as if she missed something. She didn’t picture him to be a Starfighter kind of guy… Instead of making a comment about it, even though it surprised her, she said, “How fuel efficient…”

    Nonetheless, she continued.
“You said it had been a while since you had your fighter checked for maintenance, I could check it out, later.” She said with a tilt of her head. “ Your only issue from what you’ve said is the speed. So, the engine, or the ‘stuff,’" when she said stuff, she gestured with quotations, “that leads up to the engine. Which, I'll explain later.”

Thyrza didn’t need to explain the entire workings of a ship but it was something she did to clients regardless because it’s what she knew. Her language to most wasn’t understandable to people who weren’t technicians but it was a force of habit to use the vocabulary she was taught. This time though, she managed to contain herself and use simple language. There was no point in getting into detail when she was sure Kyi understood. After all, it was the man’s ship.

“My concern is that because of its slow speed, your Starfighter could possibly not be outputting as much power as it should. So, other systems wouldn’t work as well... or at all.” Or maybe she was just saying all this because she wanted Kyi to take her to see the ship for herself. It wasn’t common that she worked on foreigner’s ships, normally just guns, droids, and pod-racers all locally from Tatooine. Yet, what she was saying was also true, there were many factors that could be affecting the fighter’s performance.

Another thought appeared in her head, “Do you remember what the fuels like? Does it run out quickly?” Thyrza was very much bombarding Kyi with questions, all to which she knew the likely answers to.

After calling the hesitant one over, the strange began explaining her business. Thyrza looked down at the projection of the cargo and pursed her lips, “I’m not going to ask where you got your cargo from. Though, I can definitely tell you that if you throw in some credits… I’ll accept the trade. But, if you’d prefer a different price - how much did you want for your cargo?”

Her ears didn't have to strain very hard to hear what the woman had mumbled. The other claimed Malla classed star fighters to be cheaply built. However, she wasn’t wrong about the engine, which is exactly why Thyrza nodded. Instead of commenting on the statement first, she cleared her throat and raised a brow, “What’s your name? And are you here to steal my job? You can have it.”

The woman was correct for the most part, and by the looks of it, knew her way around a cockpit with that attitude and knowledge.

“We’re not here to throw the Wookiees under, I have faith in the Kashyyyk bunch. Malla’s are cheaper but still appealing. Besides, whatever it is - be it the engine, the ‘inertial dampeners’, or something more - I can fix it for you, Kyi.” The comment wasn’t aimed to be anything but humorous, it was why each statement was accompanied by a chuckling-undertone.

Thyrza did not care that Mae had been listening in on the conversation, it was part of anyone’s nature to want to understand. And, the shop wasn’t too big for the words not to carry for any listening ears to hear. More the merrier…
“The inertial damper or the drive compensator - whatever you want to call it - is nothing to play around with. Without it, you have to accelerate slower, or perhaps it would even make you black out or kill you with excessive g-forces.” With a wave of her hand, she dismissed the issue, as if to say ‘it’s no worries, I have it covered.’ It would be fixed in no time.

“I’d still be interested in checking the Malla out for myself if that’s alright? If not, I could just fit you up with some parts that I think would fix the issue.”

Here's to hoping there wouldn't be a sandstorm.

Thyrza's curiosity peaked at the mention of his starfighter, although he didn't want to relay the information he had no choice but to since he didn't know the first thing about ship repair. The mechanic then went on to ask him what the fuel was like and how long it lasted to which the Padawan responded with "I'm not exactly sure...but during test flights I can tell my fuel runs out a lot quicker compared to everyone else in my squadron" Kyi bit his tongue after saying this, he wanted to facepalm badly after accidentally letting more information slip - he let out a quiet groan, hoping no one would hear, after realising his mistake.

As Thyrza and the Force-sensitive woman began conversing about selling some cargo, Kyi was kicking himself mentally for being so irresponsible and began overthinking the fact that he probably seemed ignorant to Thyrza and the other lady for not knowing how his ship worked - well, in his defence, it was newly in his possession. Kyi's attention was brought to the two women's conversation when the shorter lady commented on how Malla-class starfighter often have issues with the inertial dampener, he had no idea what the hell she was talking about but that wasn't what he took away from this conversation. He looked at her and sensed through the Force that as if she was interrupting - the Padawan felt a little guilty as she had probably picked up on his negative feelings earlier.

As he opened his mouth to say something to her, something along the lines of an apology and some reassurance, Thyrza began speaking once more and confirmed she'd be able to solve Kyi's problem to which an immense feeling of relief passed over him. She then went on to explain the potential risks of flying his ship without its inertial damper, hearing this made him feel nervous and made him reevaluate everything and if he was in way over his head by enlisting into the Star Squadron. However, these anxieties were quickly washed away when Thyrza asked if she could check out his starfighter for herself, Kyi had to fight hard to suppress a smile - this was perfect, she could really find out the problem by getting a closer look at it and it was an opportunity to spend more time with her. It was a win-win!

"Yeah! Sure!" he realised he was sounding too eager and took a moment to control his speech, "I mean...yes, that would probably be for the best." he continued, putting on his "professional Jedi" voice once more. But first he would wait for Thyrza and the Force-sensitive lady to conclude their business first, in the meantime he would browse around the shop while he waited.

“I’m not going to ask where you got your cargo from. Though, I can definitely tell you that if you throw in some credits… I’ll accept the trade. But, if you’d prefer a different price - how much did you want for your cargo?”

Mae thought to herself for a moment. Her cargo was worth maybe twice as much as the box of parts that she was asking for trade, however, like Thyrza mentioned, they are hot items taken from the Empire and there would be a loss with that on the black market or with a fence anyway. As she thought about it, she saw what had to be the recycling pile in the corner with various mechanical parts ready to be scrapped down. These parts were pretty useless to most people other than those, like Mae, who were currently in the process of producing something and needed miscellaneous parts for construction purposes.

"Ill tell you what, if you throw in that scrap pile over there" She points to the recycling pile "Ill throw in your mentioned credits and make it an even trade" She finished with a smile and stuck her hand out to complete the deal.

“What’s your name? And are you here to steal my job? You can have it.”

"Name is Mae and I appreciate your offer whether it was serious or a joke, but my life is meant to be flying among-st the stars" She says with a last moment smirk.

Thyrza could tell Kyi wasn't relaying every bit of information, after all it wasn’t any of her business - she was just there to fix shit and then be paid for it. It wasn’t her job to get information about personal lives, even if some clients tended to tell her about their entire life stories. So, when Kyi spoke of his experience with test flights and his squadron, Thyrza didn’t dig further. Nor did she comment on the way he seemed to be kicking himself for letting it slip.

“All right, I’ll look into your drive then. Sounds like it’s been a problem for a while if it’s been happening since your test flights. Unless, they have different models to you.” She shrugged, “Even so, it shouldn’t be that big an issue, the fact that it runs out quick like that — it should be more fuel efficient than that.”

As the two clearly seemed to have identified each other as force sensitive people, Thyrza had absolutely no idea. She never even thought about the Jedi and would have almost thought them myth if she hadn’t idolised the stories her father told her of as a child. She never even suspected them to be Jedi, let alone have two in her shop. As of now, she was clueless to them being force-sensitive. Deep down, perhaps she had a hunch, especially after hearing Kyi mention a squadron. If he were fighter for somebody, she hoped it to be the alliance.

When Thyrza explained the entire situation to Kyi she had not meant for it spur up so much anxiety, especially because it could be hard to tell whether she was joking or not. Her tone of voice could be misleading, and it didn’t help that she had used the word ‘death.’ Kyi wasn’t going to die, not if her being a technician had anything to do with it.

Changing her attention from Kyi to Mae, Thyrza listened to Mae’s new trade suggestion. The mechanic knew the value of the cargo and the parts she was selling, the deal would work. It wasn’t as if Thyrza needed them, and they had been sitting there a while, unsold. So, the tan woman nodded and took the Mae’s waiting hand a shook it. “You have got yourself a deal. Scraps are yours.”

Thyrza figured the woman already heard both introductions but decided to welcome the woman again, “I’m Thyrza and this is Kyi.” She gestured to him, giving him a small, reassuring pat on the shoulder.
“Definitely a joke,” she assured the woman, who now was known as Mae. It was always good to put a name to a face. “I don’t know where I’d be without my job.” She paused to laugh softly with a shake of her head, long dark hair sliding over her shoulder. “A life among the stars sounds… nice. The flying part too. I don’t know what your job entails but, you’ve got me intrigued with the stars.”

Thyrza hadn’t gone anywhere since the death of her father, and loss of her brother. The thought of them would have made her tear up years ago, but now she had accepted it for the most part. Accepting was a loose term, considering one of the reasons she wanted to leave was to find her brother, whom was presumed dead many years ago, when she was still a teenager. For a long while, the tan woman had been secretly working on a ship to fly her own. Most things were custom, she’d never been handed a whole intact ship and wasn’t about to steal one, as easy as it would have been. No - instead she would slave away at the junk until it was ready for flight, and would give it a paint job too. One day, hopefully soon, it would be ready.

The eager expression that came from Kyi when Thyrza said she would take a closer look at his fighter made her break out into a smile. He must’ve been really excited about something to have to try and rephrase his words to sound more professional. “Great! We can start walking shortly, is your ship far?.”

The Force-sensitive woman introduced herself as Mae, it was a nice name he thought, Thyrza responded by introducing her and Kyi while patting him on the shoulder. He gave an awkward wave and smiled at Mae. After the two had concluded their business, Thyrza returned to Kyi and asked him where his starfighter was and asked if it was far. "Nope, not that far. It's in the spaceport about five minutes from here" he said with a smile, noticing Thyrza's smile made him feel more confident. The two made their way to the exit of the shop but before leaving, the young Padawan turned around and looked at Mae "You're welcome to come too, Mae" he offered with a soft tone of voice - he wanted to keep an eye on her, she was Force-sensitive but he had no way of knowing if she was Sith, Jedi or untrained...however, he didn't feel the Dark Side swell around her so this was a good sign.

As the three exited the shop, Kyi had forgot about the Tatooine heat - it felt like the rays from the twin suns was cooking his skin clean off, why did Tatooine need two suns? Blast it all. Kyi desperately wanted to take off his cloak to get a modicum of relief from the intense rays but he couldn't risk any locals seeing his lightsaber. Kyi made an irritated growl at the heat.

During the short walk to his ship, Kyi noticed the silence between the three. Even though the Padawan was shy around his new crush, he did like to talk and get to know others, maybe even make friends, it was a result of his high empathy. Kyi placed his hand over his forehead to block the twin sun's rays from blocking his view,
"So, Thyrza, Mae. Tell me about yourselves? What brings you all the way out to Tatooine?" he asked as a way to break the silence.

“I’m Thyrza and this is Kyi.”

Mae looked from Thyrza to Kyi and flashed him a smile and a nod. "Nice to meet you" she said to him as she continued on with the two of them.

    “Definitely a joke,”

Giggles lightly back confirming the joke.

“I don’t know where I’d be without my job.”

Mae looked at her and pondered to herself what would have happened if she did the same and never left to the stars. It saddened her to think about it and quickly pushed the thought from her head.

“A life among the stars sounds… nice. The flying part too. I don’t know what your job entails but, you’ve got me intrigued with the stars.”

"You know the nice thing about the stars and space, is that its just that, another space for you to do the same thing you are doing here but within your own ship. Going from planet to planet selling your goods. I was not always a pilot but that is definitely not all that I am either." Mae replied. She wanted to open up this girls mind about traveling the stars like it was opened up to her the first time. She then frowned and continued "But it can definitely be scary and overwhelming to take that first step of change. So I can understand your hesitation." Mae wanted to be supportive but not badger the woman on something she may never do.

"I do have an extra seat in case you would like to give it a try later today if you have some free time after helping Kyi out with his needs" Mae said with a giggle. May did not mean to laugh but when she said Kyi's needs, it reminded her of the awkward flirtatious greeting that he gave Thyrza back at the shop.

"You're welcome to come too, Mae"

"Thank you, I think I will come to see if my thoughts on your problem were accurate. Thank you for the offer, Sir" Mae replied with a smile.

"So, Thyrza, Mae. Tell me about yourselves? What brings you all the way out to Tatooine?"

"I had to unload some sensitive cargo that I believed only someone on Tatooine would have the eye to recignize" Mae replied with a wink to Thyrza. "Not to mention I need some time to test my legs after being in space for so long and the benefit of sun from two stars in pretty amazing, dont you think?" she asked as she raised her arms and closed her eyes soaking in the wonderful rays.

As it was now Thyrza's turn to respond, Mae let the other two take a few meters space ahead of her and radioed her wingmen. "Kim, I found a buyer for the cargo, bring Chase with you and a satchel of credits too, I traded our cargo for some equipment. I marked the location on the synced map. Look for the box labeled K312 and the also grab the scrap pile located behind the shop."

"Yes, Miss, we are on it" Replied Kim

As Kim responded, Mae made her way back to the others on the way to Kyi's ship.
