War...there are many different words that could be used to associate to such a thing. Some see it as heroic, tragic, insanity. But for some it's the only thing they have known. Their bodies have been molded by every piece of shrapnel or every blaster bolt. With every near miss or death their minds have been sharpened them into a tool of efficiency of war. There is nothing from Cormack's past that is worth mentioning, he had parents a brother and sister--came from a small outpost town that you probably never heard of. When war broke out across the galaxy, Cormack was drafted into the Grand Army of the Republic.

Cormack would get his first taste of combat in the Battle of Ord Radama, in which he took part in an eight month tour with the 224th Star Corps. The campaign was a brutal combat zone, full of many ambushes within the thick marshes and swamps that made up the planet. It would be during this time that Cormack would get struck in the lower right portion of his abdomen, earning him his first scar and Heart of the Republic Medal. Instead of opting to return home, Cormack continued to fight and would go on to serve in several tours and campaigns--gaining himself six scars and wounds, but it seemed nothing was ever able to fully kill him. With the conclusion of the Grand Army, Cormack transferred to the Republic's Judicial Corps, where he continues to serve today.

    PERSONALITY

"Cormack...you're talking about the EL-TEE right? Yeah he's the smug kriff with the scowl permanently fixed to his face." - Unknown Soldier

If you're looking for someone to provide you a warm sense of comfort or empathy, Cormack is the wrong person to talk to. Often seen as a silent brooding type, Cormack can come off as an intimidating presence to those who have a weaker sense of confidence. Cormack is someone who is always judging and assessing whether it be his men or the situation as a whole and is known for being overly harsh to new faces within his ranks and will often outright ignore their personal names.

This helps compartmentalize the pain and the reality of death that comes with war. It serves as a mental shield that limits the pain, but this only works for such a short time. Cormack is hard on his men because he wants to see them live and to continue on. If one dies, another will simply come and take his place which creates a whole new connection that is bound to be taken away eventually. In a way, Cormack is stuck in a personal hell, destined to continue fighting to his end days. He can't turn back to civilian life, not now--he tried in the past, but it only made his feelings of pain worse.

Cormack can be overly aggressive on the battlefield, and is known to take risks during fights. Some people think it's his illusions of immortality--he had survived six wounds after all. But, maybe just maybe he's looking for a way to end his curse and find the peace he needs in his life; whether through death or some war-time revelation.
