Zarya's mind rose from unconsciousness with streams of light across her face from a barred window, a dull aching pain in her cheek. she pushed herself up from her bed only to notice she couldn't separate her wrist as they were bound with something.

Her eyes shot open, now remembering what had happened before she lost consciousness, she stared at the binder cuffs that held her hands together with a wave of stern anger across her face, the anger in her mind was at herself. you failure, you couldn't even defeat a padawan with a stun baton, you will never achieve the rank of Crusader now.

She continued to berate herself in her own mind until her attention was drawn towards the with as door slide to one side with there distinct noise, she immediately ran at the door, only to travel a meter and a half before being suddenly stopped in her tracks and brought to her knees, she hadn't seen the cable that attached her cuffs to the floor.

Now looking down and seeing it, the anger in her increased. she looked to see the padawan that had captured, a grimace of pure anger came across her face as she stared at him not saying a word.

(OOC: Is it alright if we try to get this thread done quickly, I want to try and get her transition to the light done before the 14th)

For his part, Omnis could feel the anger roiling off of Zarya as she looked at him. This wasn't going to be an easy meeting, yet it had to be done. If he just left her to rot, or allowed someone else to execute her, that would be a shame and a waste. Despite how many people had already died in this turmoil, taking a life should never be a thing done lightly. Saving a life, redeeming it...that was a miracle, one that the now Jedi Knight wanted to at least try. He could tell that there was something else to the anger, perhaps some source that was based in pain. Maybe she was lonely, or hadn't had anyone to actually support or appreciate her. To start with, though, he had to understand her.

So, he took a chair, turned it around, and sat down to look at her while resting his arms on the back of the chair now in front of him. He just looked her over for a short time, considering and observing for anything out of the ordinary. Then he started to speak, but what he said didn't involve much but could mean a lot. "Do you want to talk about it?" He'd leave it up to her. Omnis knew that she was most likely going to yell and just otherwise be belligerent in her response, but to heal one needed to vent. He'd bear the brunt of it if needed. If it helped her. He was probably the only person in the galaxy right now who was willing to do so.

Zarya watch the jedi bring up a chair her gaze unmoving fixed on him. she let the question hang in the air, just the loud heavy breathing filling it, with her still holding the grimace at him.

"Talk about what? I have nothing to talk to you about, Jedi." she spoke, not shouting or yelling at him but her words were cold and thick with venom.

when she was younger she might have enjoyed having a conversation with a jedi, to engage with them in a war of philosophy and words rather of blades but that was a long time ago and things change.

If Omnis was offended, he didn't show it. Instead he gave her a small smile, shaking his head gently. "I can feel all of..." He made a wide gesture with his hand in Zarya's direction. "that." He put his chin on his arms, slumping over almost lazily, though he was paying close attention despite his smile. "I'm sorry I captured you. I don't like fighting, despite playing a superhero on the Holonet at times. I can tell something is chewing you up. Are you sure you don't want to talk about it? Come on, don't you want to say how much of a motherkriffer I am, how my order is a bunch of posers, that you'd rip me limb from limb if freed? Go on, don't hold back. I can take a punch, both physical and verbal."

Zarya scoffed at the man's attempts to coax her, his understanding of what was a sith was and how they acted was that of Caricature, it was nearly insulting to her.

"I could sit here and lecture you about your order in how it is wrong but it would be a waste of breath, for you could never understand since your order shelters you from what could make you understand, Emotion, love, anger, joy, suf-" she paused and looked away from the jedi for the first time to look at her cybernetic arm for a breathest second "suffering, without those you'll never understand us" the second half was not twisted with anger or rage but her voice was pained, not that she was aware

Finally, something he could work with. Omnis raised an eyebrow, not at all upset, more curious than anything. "And what, pray tell, makes you think I haven't experienced any of those things? Tell me, who do you think I am? Not as a member of the Jedi, but as a person. I'm curious." In truth, Omnis had suffered plenty. Watching people be oppressed by the Empire, unable to help them when he was younger, a slave to his own fears until he got on stage and became a Hero for a few hours a night. He had friends, he had his family, he loved them deeply, enjoyed his work and travel, all the things she accused him of never having, he'd experienced them all through his life. It was his time as a Jedi that all those things were tempered, put into their place, and he placed the betterment of others over his own personal feelings. He wasn't a drone of the Jedi, he was his own person. He just didn't let anything go to excess, as anyone with self-control and ideals would do.

"I didn't say you hadn't experienced those things. only that your order seeks to protect you from them." The anger and rage inside of her was dissipating as this conversation continued though she still held resentment for man in front of her.

"And I do doubt you've suffered, have you had the cause you believed in and fought for betrayed and taken over? Have you watched helplessly as the person who just cut off your arm walk away like it was nothing? Have you had your mother, the woman who gave you everything in your life, gave you every opportunity to improve yourself, be killed in front of you?" A lump began to form in her throat as she began to list the things off, her eyes watering as she began to talk about her mother, closing her eyes two tears fell on each cheek.

"you have no idea what suffering is." she finished her eyes staring at the ground.

"Well, I still have my arm, so no to that one. As for my cause, I'm still part of the GA and Jedi, so that's been going pretty steady to. As for my mother, she caught a wasting disease not long ago, something even kolto couldn't cure. I stayed by her side to the end, but it got so painful not even painkillers could do much. For months she was in constant agony, until she finally passed. So, on that score, I know suffering. However, it's the suffering of others that affects me the most." Omnis' heart was already feeling the pain he had tried to heal over the years, yet it was something he wouldn't let overcome him. Not again, as it almost had when he was younger. He remembered their faces, their bodies, and while the story would hurt, he hoped she would feel some kind of empathy from it.

"My family runs a theater on Coruscant, in a building that our ancestor Dennys was given for his role in helping to bring the Republic into the Empire. Instead of going to the Sith Academy, I decided to keep up my part in the performances. The people loved our shows, it gave them hope in an otherwise depressing and dark time, especially for non-humans. There was a Shistavanen family, a mother and son, that came in quite often because our shows were some of the only bright spots of their lives. They were poor, so we let them in for free. The greatest payment for a performer is applause, after all." His eyes went distant, the small smile on his face fading as he remembered what happened next.

"One day, they were taking an alley back to their home, as they always did. A couple Sith Troopers were having a bad day and started to beat the mother. The son jumped in front of her, trying to protect her, and they shot him for his insolence. Not just once, about fifteen times. He was dead after the first, of course. Well, then they had to kill the mother, to keep her from talking. They decided to have some fun with her first, though. I didn't get there until they were just finishing. They even tried to joke with me about it, like just because I was human, I'd be fine with what they did. I snapped, I beat them to death with my fists and what control of the Force I had at that time. I saw from their recorders in their helmets what they'd done. I was devastated. I was personally fine, but these two non-humans had been like family to me. I joined the GA after being a kind of vigilante for a while, wanting to try to make the galaxy a better place, one where people don't have to be afraid to walk home on their planets. So, perhaps I haven't suffered as much as you have personally. But I've seen others suffer horribly, and I don't want anyone to suffer anymore. That includes you, believe it or not." He meant what he said. He didn't mean Zarya any ill will. In fact, he wanted to help her heal from her suffering, if she would allow it. Enemy or not, people deserved to be happy.
