RP Workshop

Pretty self-explanatory, I suppose, but anywho...

In light of the new 'no coming soon profiles' rule (which I approve of wholeheartedly), my suggestion is to create an 'RP workshop' section where members can post their WIP RP profile ideas or even their whoel profile so far, along with other storyline ideas, technologies they want to try and implement in the RP etc.

This would be particularly for independant factions who have military forces, so they can discuss what kind of stuff is acceptable etc. and for new members who aren't sure what's good and what's not acceptable on SWRP.com.

What's the point? We always comment on peoples profiles when they post them up anyway, suggesting things they could add and alter. We don't need an extra board for this. And as far as storyline ideas and technology ideas, etc., we do have an RP OOC board.

Meh, i'll just do that crap in the RP OOC then. My bad, I was more under the impression the RP OOC was just OOC threads for the matching RP threads.

I suppose that makes that section somewhat useful, considering it's not used at all atm.

Actually, this kinda things strikes me as useful. Sort of the thing newer members would benefit from.

That, or like, a demi-training thing. Sorta mini-rp type things, and stuff. And then peopel say how to improve, or alter the posts to make it a better rp for everyone.

I reckon that'd be kinda useful. Or is that just me?

I think the best idea as far as having your profile looked over before its posted is to have Beta-Readers. The job of a Beta-Reader is really just to be the first one to look things over and then give suggestions and such as to how it can be improved. The preferred Beta-Readers would be staff and veterans.

I just show my friends my profiles before posting them, it works. Screened through Daks and Kelly, tough work that is.
