View Full Version : Rixar Vox Irwin

Cyril Khan

Cyril sat still in a meditative stance. It had been a while since he had trained anyone, and much longer since he was the student. His padawan to be was Rixar Vox Irwin. He would try to follow his own masters way of teaching; it made him the Jedi he is now. Every being has their mistakes, and Cyril had gone through his. He would try his hardest to see that Rixar would not make the same ones.

Rixar wandered through the halls of the place, his eyes looking over everything he saw. He was simply amazed at what he saw around him. He had been here for a while already but still, he couldn't help but want to look at what the place looked like. The place was older than him, that's for sure and to imagine the amount of people and who actually walked through these halls was something to think of. For the moment though, he had to find out who his Master was, since Rixar is going to be his Padawan. From what Rixar heard, his name was Cyril Ahlen Khan. Rixar did a little research and found that he was indeed a council member for the Jedi Order. To be trained by a council member was something Rixar didn't expect to happen to him but it gave a sense of excitement to him. He wanted to look his best on his first day seeing him and Rixar wanted to make Master Khan proud of his new Padawan.

For the day, Rixar wore a standard Jedi robe, with the browns, bleach like colors and such. Just a plain and normal Jedi robe for everyone that Rixar saw around here. Although in Rixar's own opinion, he would have liked it better to have worn a blue or white Jedi robe. It just seemed to please him more wearing something that he thought would have looked better on him. Brown with his red hair would have looked a little odd anyway.

Rixar walked a bit more down the halls, trying to remember where it was that Master Khan was suppose to be. Rixar heard he was in a Meditation room somewhere down this hall, Rixar's feet making light steps upon the ground. Rixar didn't bring anything but his mother's lightsaber with him and a lightsaber he was given some time ago as a standard lightsaber. The blade was blue the last time Rixar used it and as far as Rixar knew, his mother's lightsaber was standard as well, except for maybe the silver blade. Rixar made his way to a door at the hall and entered it, pretty sure that this was the room that his master was in.

It was so as Rixar saw him in the room, Master Khan sitting still in a meditative stance. Rixar walked forward towards him, a little shy from meeting his master for the first time now. He stopped a few meters from him, allowing his arms to relax at his sides.

"Master Khan?" asked Rixar in a calm voice, feeling his red hair in the back tied in the black band he wore for it inside of his robe, the red hair in front of his face and at the sides resting silently as Rixar awaited an answer from Master Khan.

Cyril Khan opened his eyes when his name was called. He didn't say anything; he just answered with a nod. He motioned for the padawan to sit in a meditation possition as well. "I take it you are Rixar," he said smiling. He reached towards a bag on the far side of the room. An instant later his datapad crossed the room into his hand. "Lets get started," Cyril said as he looked through the datapad. "A Jedi must know the Code in order to function well within the Order. State what you know. If you do not know it, this is the time to learn it."

Once Rixar got Master Khan's attention, he was thankful that it was going okay for starters. Rixar walked over to where Master Khan was and sat down a little bit aways in front of him. Rixar crossed his legs, finding a meditation position he would be comfortable in and listened to what Master Khan had to say. 'Jedi Code, eh? Easy,' thought Rixar to himself. He knew he was at least going to be asked that in this lesson. The thought of being trained by a Jedi Council member was still rolling through Rixar's head, wondering if he was just one of a few of Master Khan's Padawans, if he had any more. Rixar didn't really have time to look it up but who knows.

Once Master Khan was done talking, Rixar wet his lips for a moment so that he could get ready to speak since he was asked to tell the Jedi Code to Master Khan. "There is no emotion, there is peace," resited Rixar like any other could. Actually, all Jedi could, even Hopefuls once they learn of it and memorize the Code. "There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no death, there is the Force." Rixar then finished resiting the Jedi Code to Master Khan, wondering a moment as to what he would be doing today in this lesson. With more of curious nature, Rixar wonder what Master Khan was going to do with the datapad. Who knows what but it was a curious thought.

Cyril listened carefully to Rixar as he stated the Code. This was the first part of the lesson, being about the code. Such a thing was easy to memorize, but it took extra thought to translate the code into everyday words. The code came in two parts: reciting and applying. Rixar had the first part down; now it was time for the second.

"Now," Cyril said looking at his datapad, "I am looking over my own training session and my answer to the question. Every Jedi has a different answer, but every answer is close to being the same. This is the most important part of being a Jedi: defining the Code. Tell me how you would describe the Code. What does it mean to you."

Rixar nodded, understanding what Master Khan was talking about. In the back of his mind though, Rixar wondered something. He hadn't thought much about the Code itself as he thought them as just guidelines. Plus stating what he thought of it and what it could mean to him sounded....too easy. Was this just it for studying the Code? Could be but then again, they might go over the Code again and again and stuff, just to remind Rixar of it and making sure that Rixar kept its teachings in mind.

Wetting his lips a little, Rixar took a breath before beginning. "From the first line, there is no emotion, there is peace, could mean that you shouldn't let your actions or thoughts be controled by emotion to where you can't see reason. Throught not allowing yourself to be controled by your emotions, you gain a peace within yourself. The second line, there is no ignorance, there is knowledge, could mean that you should use knowledge in all your actions or thoughts. Otherwise, you may take rash action and get an outcome that could have been avoided. The third line, there is no passion, there is serenity, is much like the first but it could instead mean that if you understand your own feelings, you gain an understanding of yourself. The last line, there is no death, there is the Force, could mean that though your body dies, you still live on through the Force and in the minds of others....

"For what I think of the Code itself," said Rixar after he had finished through what he thought of the meanings in the Code. He closed his mouth again though, a pause coming as silence fell, Rixar lost in his own thoughts. He looked towards the ground and felt that he should go with his first. "I believe the Jedi Code to be a set of guidelines. Nothing more, nothing less."

As Rixar spoke, Cyril keep careful attention. There were parts of the padawan's reasoning that he agreed with; there were others that he disagreed on. There was nothing completely out of place that he would have been obligated to attempt to correct; this was good. Rixar's thought of the code was Jedi-like and it was simular to others.

"Good reasoning" Cyril said smiling. "One thing to always remember: the Code is responsible for the descisions the Jedi make every day. It is what separates us from the Sith. It keeps us as whole as we can possibly be. The Code is a guilde, but you will find yourself using it more than you expect. If you do not find yourself looking back to the code for help on descisions, then I may have to discuss with you why you do not. Without the Code, the Jedi Order would be in complete chaos.

Michael Vereaux

Rixar just nodded to what he said. Although, Rixar found himself thinking that it would be very unlikely that the Jedi would be in complete chaos. Sure, there would be chaos but completely? It was just the most unlikely thing Rixar ever heard in Rixar's opinion. But in any case, Rixar knew he would use the Jedi Code more than he would expect anyway. Rixar looked up from his gaze toward the ground to Master Khan, wondering now what they would do next.

Cyril walked over to a work desk and fiddled through a few drawers. He soon found what he was looking for. He took nothing out, but he left the drawer cracked so he could get back at it quickly. He then turned to Rixar to ask another important question.

"Now," he said, "I must ask you another question. How do you intend to train in the Force: the path of the Consular, Sentinel, or Guardian? If you do not know about these classes, it is fine; I will explain them if need be.

Michael Vereaux

Rixar found himself stumped as a frown came to his face. He allowed his head to move to one side, his lips pressing in on themselves as if he was in thought. Frankly, he had no clue what he wanted to become. He had never really thought about it beforer now. Rixar knew of the classes themselves but maybe he should ask Master Khan what they were as the computer Rixar was using gave him little in detail information about the classes Consular, Sentinel, or Guardian. Seemed that it was best for the moment so he allowed his lips to relax and his head moved back to its normal position, his gaze turned toward Master Khan.

"I know a little about the classes," said Rixar as he spoke. "But I found little information about each." With this statement, Rixar couldn't help but laugh a little, his right hand coming to the back of his head as he seemed a little embarrassed. His hand went down after a moment, his eyes still on Master Khan. "And I haven't really thought about being any of the classes...so, I'm not sure."

Cyril Khan
06-13-2007, 02:46 AM
Cyril nodded and lauhed. This was a common thing to happen with a Padawan. No one really knows what class they want to be, and it is a difficult choice. I must follow their personality.

"I understand," Cyril said. "I will ask you a list of questions to help determine what would suit you best.

First Question: You approach a seen when a man has been assaulting someone. Do you...
- Talk to the man to hear his side peacefully
- Arrest him and take him for questioning
- Beat him for his crime"

Michael Vereaux
06-14-2007, 04:15 AM
Rixar listened and began thinking about the question. Already, he didn't want to do one of the choices Master Khan had given. It was the third one that Rixar would not agree with on the spot. Sure, hurting him for what he had done would be choosen by some but what if it was a misunderstanding? What if the guy attacking was just acting out of self-defense toward the other for some reason? That would also knock choice two out of the things Rixar would choose to do in that situation.

"I would try to talk peacefully to him to hear why he was attacking," answered Rixar to Master Khan, leaning back and placing his arms behind him, placing his hands on the floor. He did this to support his body up with his arms so that he could remain in the position he was in. It was a little more comfortable to Rixar in a way.

Cyril Khan
06-14-2007, 05:05 PM
Cyril nodded at Rixar's answer. He figured that would be the one, but he couldn't yet make a suggestion of what class would suit the padawan best. A few more questions had to be asked. The master was silent for a few moments before he spoke again.

"You encounter a Sith who has their lightsaber ignited and is likely to attack you. Do you...
- Attack First to avoid being caught totally off guard, as you are not the best counter offensive fighter
- Ignite your own lightsaber and wait for the Sith to attack; you trust your counter offensive skills
- Keep you lightsaber on your belt and try to talk to the Sith into making this a peaceful meeting

Michael Vereaux
06-15-2007, 03:40 AM
Rixar wondered what he would do in a situation like that. Well, charging in head first toward an enemy that he knows nothing about would be the last thing Rixar would do, that's for sure. He wouldn't literately go in head first but the phrase sounded amusing. And how many times do you encounter a peaceful Sith? Chances of that happening to Rixar are slim to none. Plus if he was a peaceful Sith, why turn on his lightsaber? Might be out of reaction to Rixar being there but still, why turn it on if you want a peaceful outcome? "I'd turn my lightsaber on and wait for his first attack," said Rixar.

Cyril Khan
06-15-2007, 04:37 AM
Cyril carefully put the answer down into his datapad. He wasn't going to show any of the answers to anyone; he just didn't trust his own memory. He looked up and nodded. As usual, Rixar followed traits of various classes. Most of the time, one sticks out more than usual. The next questions would probably answer that question. Even so, it was too early to rule out any class.

"Your are sent to arrest a suspect and he refuses to open the door. Do you...
- Cut open the door with your lightsaber
- Try to talk the suspect to come out peacefully
- Open the door using a Force Technique

Michael Vereaux
06-15-2007, 07:07 AM
'Well, cutting open the door or using the Force on the door would most likely scare the guy,' thought Rixar to himself, as he sat there. Besides, who would glad just turn themselves in to be arrest? Very few and certainly only under certain situations. And by just forcing open the door, wouldn't the guy try to attack Rixar? That's what Rixar would think anyway and he certainly didn't want to chop the guy up with his lightsaber. Rixar was trying to arrest the guy, not kill him. "I'd try to talk to him, try to get him to come out peacefully," answered Rixar. Three questions already and now Rixar was starting to wonder how many more questions he was going to have to answer before a class could be choosen. It must be a long process for sure...its just that Rixar didn't want to take that long with it if he could help it. If he can't, then that's okay with him. It was mearly a thought anyway.

When rixar answered, Cyril looked up from his datapad. He nodded in agreement to the answer and recorded it. This was just a process of questions before he could go about training the student with a lightsaber and the Force. He only need to ask one more question before the class would be apparent.

"I belive I know what would suit you best, but I will ask one more question to be sure.

Your greatest friend, be it a fellow student, Jedi Knight or Master, or even me, has turned to the darkside and becomes the Dark Lord. If he/she dies, the Sith will be thrown into chaos about who will take new leadership. If he/she leaves, the Sith will hunt him/her down until he/she is killed (Such an act is treason and the Sith will not stand for it). Do you...
- Confront and kill your friend so the Sith destroy each other and not the galaxy
- Confront your friend and redeem him/her
- Do nothing knowing that either path you take after confronting your friend will lead to your friends destruction.

This is a wild question, and it is unlikely to happen. But in times like these the craziest things can occur and we, as Jedi, must be ready to make a choice on things we never dreamed to happen."

Michael Vereaux
06-15-2007, 09:10 PM
'Damn right that this is a wild question,' thought Rixar to himself as he sat there. Plus, it was also a hard question to really answer. What would he do in a situation like this? Well, Rixar certainly wouldn't kill his friend, that's for sure. He'd never do that, no matter what was going on. And doing nothing would not be something Rixar would do. The first choice would lead to Rixar killing his friend himself. The second choice would lead to his friend being hunted down and killed. And the third choice would lead to death anyway because sooner or later, a Sith will try to kill his friend anyway to become the Dark Lord. It's their nature. Although there was one choice for certain that Rixar would take. "I'd redeem them," answered Rixar. No matter what choice he took, death would fall upon his friend. But if Rixar at least turned him back to the light and became a Jedi again, then at least they would die as a Jedi, not a Sith. Plus Rixar would do everything he could to protect them.

Cyril Khan
06-16-2007, 07:38 PM
Cyril carefully put the answer down and gazed at each question carefully. What he had figured was correct; the answer varied classes, but there was a definate class that Rixar would not be and one that he was suited to follow more.

"As I can tell," Cyril said without looking up, "the class of Consular would fit you best. The class of guardian fits you least. Nonetheless, it is still your choice. Gaurdian will focus on your skills with a lightsaber more than the force. Sentinel will focus on both the Force and a lightsaber equally. Finally, Consular will train heavily on the Force and less on the lightsaber."

He walked over to the drawer and pulled out a small hologram and three crystals. He held them out for Rixar to see. The hologram would give directions of how to construct a lightsaber. One of the crystals would be used for a focusing crystal for the saber. "Green is consular; yellow is sentinel; blue is guardian. Whichever class you choose, take its crystal. The hologram will teach you how to make a training saber. Study the hologram as you build your saber; the same steps are taken to make your Knight's lightsaber. The difference is the fact I cannot allow you to use the hologram when you make the lightsaber you will carry with you through your journey as a Jedi. If you have any questions or have any troubles, feel free to ask."

Michael Vereaux

Rixar bit down on his bottom lip, wondering if being a Jedi Consular would be best for him. Master Khan said he was best for it but Rixar wondered to himself about it. By choosing that class, he doesn't go into lightsaber combat that much but then again, Rixar wants to make his own style of lightsaber combat, seeing as the styles he's looked at are either of some interest to him or just don't suit Rixar at all. In any case, Rixar looked over at Master Khan when he got out the hologram and the crystals. Rixar got to his feet and walked over to him, looking at the hologram all the while. Rixar simply took the datapad that was making the hologram from Master Khan gently and began to look at it for a moment, as if a bit in thought.

"Master Khan," said Rixar, turning off the hologram for the moment as he turned himself completely toward Khan. "I understand that making a lightsaber is a required part of training...but..." Rixar bit down on his lip, unsure of how to go about this. His right hand went toward the lightsaber (http://ic3.deviantart.com/fs7/i/2005/190/5/3/Lightsaber_v2_by_hellion.jpg) at his belt that Master Khan might not of noticed earlier and raised it for him to see, Rixar keeping it in his hand with a good grip. "Its just that...is it okay that even after I make the lightsaber that I use this one? Its my mother's and she wanted me to use this one. And rather...I want to use this one than any other." Rixar was very unsure of what Khan would say. Rixar hoped that Khan wouldn't mind at all.

Cyril Khan

Cyril looked down at the lightsaberand looked back at his student. This was not the first time he had noticed it. He also had figured that Rixar would want to use that saber in his journey as an Apprentice. He had even considered taking out the requirements of building a training saber and a Knight saber. Right now neither of these would be omitted.

"Your training saber will be used to train in how to use a lightsaber effectively in a fight," Cyril responded to Rixar's question. "It will only cause minor burns if you were to hurt yourself with it. I trust your ability, but real injury is something that you will not want in your training.

"Your mother's lightsaber may be used on missions and non-training duties, rather than you being temporarily given one by the Order. When you become a knight, I will encourage you to make a lightsaber that reflects you and your personality as a Jedi. Your Mother's may reflect you, but it may not. It is unlikely that you will completely follow the lifestyle and personality of your mother. All in all, you may use it, but realize there is a possiblitiy that it may not reflect the Jedi you are."

A funny thought entered Rixar's mind as he stood there, placing the lightsaber back on his belt while Master Khan spoke. "Actually, I've been told many times before that I act a great deal like my mother," he said to Master Khan, looking down at the datapad that he held in his other hand. "Of course, my mother wasn't really accepted where we lived even if she did marry my father. It didn't bother her though, as it didn't bother me." Rixar suddenly began thinking about his mother as he wondered where she was right now. It had been a while around seen he had seen her when he left but from what he found out, she had left the planet and disappeared. Rixar wasn't troubled though by her disappearance as he knew that she could take care of herself. Pushing those thoughts out of his mind though, he pressed a button on the pad, making the hologram appear once again.

Rixar wondered to himself what class would best help him. Master Khan said he was most suited for that of the Jedi Consular, the Jedi Guardian being the least suitable and the Jedi Sentinel being inbetween. One thing was for certain about what class he wanted. He didn't want to do more of one thing over another. He looked at the crystals that were also with the datapad, a green, blue and yellow crystal. He silently picked up the yellow crystal and looked at it curiously.

Cyril Khan

As Rixar spoke about his mother, Cyril listened intently. The things Rixar said were not that uncommon. Children had always imitated the parents in some way. Cyril was not the person to talk about it to anyone, but if the entire council was aware of Rixar's relationship with his mother, it could lead problems. Most relationships between a parent and a child are cut before they start.

"I believe that you are much like your mother," Cyril said smiling. He stepped forward and looked Rixar in the eye. His face neither smiled nor frowned. "Do not let your feelings and connections to her come too strong. They may destroy you, and if a Sith realizes this weakness, it will use this against you. Your lightsaber does not reflect you, but your mother. By using it you will be connected to your mother; this is fine. If you lose it in a fight, the personal loss may be too great. If you use it, do not allow it to be taken away or be broken by your opponent, or I believe that terrible things could come from a lost worldly attachment."

Cyril eyed the crystal his Padawan had chosen. With that he levitated the other two back into the closet. Soon after the crystals returned into the drawer they belonged, he called his own datapad to his hand and looked over it.

"You have chosen the path of the Sentinel. I do believe that is a wise choice," Cyril said without looking up. "A class does not always follow a personality, but the path one would like to follow in life. Jedi Guardian was the class that fit me, but I chose Consular. I am a Guardian now; you also may switch a class if you find the one you are conflicts the path you take."

Cyril continued to read from his datapad. He was looking over the training schedule and the things Rixar wished to master.

"There are supplies for your training saber in the back room. When you finish it we will begin on your Lightsaber training. I will mix in a bit of Force control in the teachings as well." Cyril looked up from his datapad and smiled. "Like master and like apprentice; you wish to develop your own sword style, and I did too. You have the right master for this."

Michael Vereaux
06-24-2007, 08:19 AM
Rixar was still looking at the datapad intently even as Cyril was speaking and looking at him in the eyes, though Rixar wasn't looking back. In truth, Rixar was listening, he just wasn't looking as half of his attention was on the pad and the other half was listening to Cyril. Something Cyril said though made Rixar chuckle slightly, a small smile appearing on his face. He thought it rather funny the thought he had in his head. "Sorry Master Khan for speaking out of turn but..." he started to say before he pressed a button on the pad, running through some holograms quickly before coming to a more in-detail hologram on the inside of the hilt, more precisely, the place where the focusing crystals are. "How could you know I'm like my mother? I'm pretty sure you haven't even meet her." What Rixar said was rather true because of what Rixar was going to say next but he instead listened to the rest of Cyril's talk.

"I know," he said, his eyes still on the hologram. Rixar raised his eyes though when Cyril moved away the other crystals and put them away, seeing him get his datapad and stuff. Rixar nodded, thinking it was odd that you can switch and stuff but if he could, it might come in handy some time in the future. Rixar's eyes looked back toward the datapad he had and looked at the image before him, listening to Cyril talk. It was a little bit of a surprise though that he found out that Rixar wanted his own style, Rixar's eyes looking over at him with a glance before looking back at the image. He hadn't actually told that many people about it so Rixar thought they wouldn't actually find out by this time at least. Looks like Rixar thought wrong about that. In any case, Rixar continued to look at the datapad, circling through the images and studying them. A few seconds passed before Rixar started to pace around the room, out of habit from not wanting to stay in one location for too long.

"What I said before...about my mother..." started Rixar, just wanting to start up a small conversation as he continued to study. Strange of the things he could keep his mind on while talking....like he had different minds or something. "My mother told me about...many things. One was that of if I lost my lightsaber. The conversation with her was...very short. She told me a lot of things in such a short amount of time. About Coruscant. Naboo. The Jedi Order. Some past Jedi Council members she use to spar with and even the Grandmaster during the time. Her lightsaber. About if I lost it or something. The Force. I swore my head was going to split with the information she was giving me," he said, laughing a little as he spoke. "She kept telling me over and over again how Naboo and Coruscant can be such great places sometimes...just to look at and watch. Somehow, I memorized what she told me but it wasn't until I could sort out everything in my head." A sudden silence fell on the room as he walked around still, his mouth open as if to still keep on speaking. "Over twenty years ago...that's when she was still around places like this. She lived on Coruscant with the Jedi since she was a baby. Was trained...became a Jedi Knight before she was fourteen, can you believe that?" He said, laughing a bit.

"I found all this on the computers when I looked up her name." Rixar was still walking around the room, making about the third circle around and still his eyes were on the datapad, his fingers pressing the buttons to make the image do different stuff like go to a different one or go at different angles. "Pretty much public to everyone here. Still, I found it a little hard to believe she was one before fourteen....makes me wonder what I could do. Became a really good Jedi Knight by nineteen by flooding herself with lessons from the Masters. Rather odd really but anyway, she became very popular among everyone here. I read that in a year or two, she could have been on the Jedi Council as a Master...maybe even try to become the next Grandmaster of her time when she does. But.......she didn't get passed Jedi Knight. She disappeared and the Jedi lost trace of her then. I think it was around then she meet my father. Might have been the reason she left or something. I don't know." Rixar began to slow his pace, his right arm a little raised in the air as he turned himself toward the door of the back room. "I think I have everything I need to know," he said almost to himself as he began walking toward the doors of it. "Its fine if I take this with me back there, right?" asked Rixar, stopping befoe the doors and raising his eyes from the datapad, them being turned and looking now at Master Khan.

Cyril sat down into a meditative position and closed his eyes. He was not ignoring anyone; it was the opposite. He was listening and bringing everything in from around him. Rixar's voice was a clear as it could possibly have been, and the Jedi listened as intensely as the clarity of the sound in the room. He did not respond or speak when the Padawan spoke; he kept as still and silent as a statue.

Cyril did not bother to explain his first statement. It would have been better had he said it, "I trust you that you are like your mother." He did not know Rixar's mother, though he probably was in the order long enough to. He valued Rixar's belief that the Padawan was like his mother. He did not see it necessary to clarify his statement.

Cyril listened carefully to everything Rixar spoke. He pondered the words carefully but remained silent. He did not speak until a question was asked from him. He answer simply, "You may."

Rixar nodded, glad he could because even though he had learned everything he needed for the moment, he still wanted to use the datapad just in case he needed to use it to remind him of anything he had missed somewhere. He looked back at the door and walked inside of it before the door closed behind Rixar. A minute went passed before that minute turned into five minutes. Five minutes soon turned into ten before the door of the back room opened up again, Rixar coming back out of the room. His left arm was relaxed against his hips, the datapad in his left hand. His right arm was raised as he looked at the training lightsaber (http://theforce.jaymach.com/images/TrainingSaber.jpg) he had made from the ten minutes he had been in there. He was right about one thing, he needed to use that datapad again a few times to refresh his memory about a few things but it was all good. He lowered his right arm, allowing it to relax as he stopped when he was two meters away from Master Khan, waiting for any further instructions from him.

Cyril sat in silence in his meditation stance; nothing bothered him. He let in everything and nothing at the same time. The Force had many odd qualities, and he knew it well. It took him years to know what he did, and he did not know half he could. Rixar too would soon learn the complexity of the Force.

Minutes on end passed and soon Rixar returned with his lightsaber finished. Cyril did not shift his position until the padawan stepped close to him. Through the Force he could tell the training sword was completed perfectly. That being done, Cyril stood up and began the training.

"I will begin with your lightsaber training. It is in my logs that you wish to make yourown style; the masters that assigned you to me must have felt it, and I can see it in your eyes. Tell me how you see yourelf as a combatant; do you prefer to attack or defend; are your counter offensive or defense? Do you want to be swift and light, strong and slow, or balanced?."

Cyril chuckled knowing it was easier to teach a common Lightsaber form than to creat one, but often custom forms are more effective. Hayai Oujou, his own form, proved that theory greatly.

Rixar thought for a moment what kind of style he wanted. He had thought about it before and considering what's already been made, he wondered what kind of style he would really want. From the choices and questions that Cyril asked him, Rixar leaned more to one thing than others as he listened. "As a combatant...I guess...more of a defensive person," he answered about how he viewed himself as a combatant. It wasn't much for now but it is more than likely that Rixar's style is going to be changed a lot during his life as a Jedi. He might not truely master his own style until much later in his life. "Defending, counter offensive and...I like more swift and light attacks." For the moment, it was pretty much what he was like at the moment. That may change after a while though.

A counter-offensive form that is swift and light. While most styles can be made from scrach, the basics are almost always taken from a set form. Intermediate techniques require a firm base, and so the basics would formed from select existing forms. By the time the intermediate and advanced techniques would be developed, the Rixar's style would not look much like the base techniques, unless he held onto them.

He would ask the Padawan later if he wanted this form to be simple and yet still powerful, or complex, difficult to learn, but devistating. Either wway the basics would be the same. The base forms seemed to lean towards a mixture of Soresu, Makashi, and Sokan.

"Let us begin" Cyril pulled out his lightsaber and began by showing the basic hilt grips.

Michael Vereaux

Rixar ignited his lightsaber and held it with both of his hands, the hilt in front of him and the yellow blade homming in the air. Rixar did what Cyril did with the grips of his lightsaber, coping them and such. But frankly, Rixar had already been through the basics of how to use a lightsaber and he had been told of the basics of each form, although just the bare basics at best. How that went though from here was going to be a little bit more...difficult for anyone to tell. Rixar wanted to tell Cyril that he had already been over the grips of a lightsaber but then again, it wouldn't hurt going over it again just to remember them.

Cyril Khan
06-26-2007, 09:06 PM
Cyril looked over the way Rixar held the blade carefully. All the grips were near perfect. Even Sokan, which was not one of the seven lightsaber forms, he had the handle on. Sokan shared the similar grip to Ataru, though the grips change on more advanced techniques. Soresu looked the best of the three Cyril demonstrated. Cyril did not state the forms he was taking these basics from; if Rixar had been through the forms before, he should recognize them.

Without saying anything Cyril went onto the blocks of Soresu. He tested Rixars line of knowledge by starting with the basics and slowly working up to more advanced techniques. Wherever Rixar would be off form, he would pause to correct the mistake. He had to make sure the basics were right. The intermediate and advanced techniques could be learned partially incorrectly, but the basics could not.

Cyril worked carefully on reviewing and teach the three tiers of Soresu's basic techniques: basic basics, intermediate basics, and advanced basics. Each tier has a set of blocks and strikes. The intermediate and advanced techniques follow the same tiers as the basic techniques. The other two forms that Cyril was to teach continued this version of branching. It was not a part of the forms themselves, but it was a way to organize the teaching process.

As Cyril went through the form basics, Rixar followed along with them, trying to memorize them as much as he could as it went along and even found himself a little embarassed whenever he made a mistake but it was just normal with Rixar. He never liked making mistakes whenever he could help it but mistakes were expected. Rixar also recongnized the forms he was going through, the grip for Sokan similar to that of Ataru from what Rixar noticed. Rixar also did pretty well with Soresu blocking. The teaching went on smoothly, Rixar doing what Cyril said.

Cyril continued to drill the basics of the basics until Rixar did each technique right and perfectly in Cyril's eyes. This probably would have been frustrating, especially if you had previously been taught these skills already. Cyril was not the type to let any weakness form in the foundation of a form. Complete mastery of basics is also key to making ones own form.

With the painstaking drilling being finished, Cyril began to teach the intermediate basics fully on the the advanced basics. At this point the two had been working for hours on end, and it was nighttime. For an hour Cyril taught the more advanced basics, including some rarely even taught, to Rixar. He then allowed Rixar to rest; he mentioned they would begin where they left off tomorrow in the morning.

Throughout the training session, Rixar found he was learning about stuff now he didn't even know were a part of the forms and with the passing hours, his muscles ached throughout his entire body. Rixar was use to long hours of doing stuff like this whenever he was alone, just practicing and studying and yeah, it was painstaking but Rixar got through it all pretty well. Although if anything today, he did have fun learning about everything, painstaking or not. By the end of the training session, Rixar was both happy...and a little bit not happy that they were stoping today. It was fun for the most part while also being tiring. But in any case, once Master Khan can said for him to go rest for tomorrow, he nodded, turning off his training lightsaber and bowing to Cyril, Rixar's eyes not leaving the sight of Cyril.

He was walking down the halls as his mind was flashing through all the things he learned today, about Makashi, Soresu and Sokan. They were just the basics for starters but still, they were helpful. A few other things were going through his mind as well, trying to think about a few things as he walked into his room of the school. Walking in, it was pretty dark but for the moonlight that came through above. Almost instantly after walking in, Rixar grabbed a small computer off of a desk and went over to his bed, sitting down and turning it on. He was looking for something as he looked up about the lightsaber combat styles he had learned today. When he had finished his training with Cyril today, something in the back of his mind told him that even learning these basics of the three styles were not going to be enough. He couldn't explain why, he just felt like they weren't enough...like something was missing. As he looked through the styles, he ran across two styles of combat that caught his eye. 'Ataru and telekinetic lightsaber combat,' he thought to himself, looking them up as he read through what information was about them.

By the time morning had come, Rixar was in the training room like yesterday but this time, he was a bit earilier than normal. Because of that, he didn't see Cyril here just yet but he knew that Cyril would be here soon. He wanted to ask him something about training today as Rixar also wanted to learn the basics for Ataru and telekinetic lightsaber combat. Rixar had a few good interesting reasons and throughout his time being awake, he was thinking up idea after idea for his style. He really wanted to learn the basics for them as he waited, cross legged on the floor. He had been in this position before on the floor but didn't really understand what it was for. Yet anyway.

Cyril Khan

Cyril stepped gracefully into the room and looked at his apprentice who was already in the room. He smiled knowing that his student was eager to continue learning. Yesterdayhe had completed the basics on all the forms minus Sokan. This was fine, because the Ataru Rixar wanted to learn, but had yet to tell Cyril, would be the support form. Whenever a style is created, you need a set of defensive skills and offensive skills,; with that you need a support to blend the two together. In this case, Sokan was playing that role; it would soon be replaced by Ataru.

Cyril continued to walk until he was a few feet from Rixar. One thing stood out; he could tell Rixar had something to say. It wasn't through telepathy by just by the Padawan's facial expression. Cyril sat down in his meditative stance and eyed the covert expression. For someone of Cyril's disability, reading facial expressions was an important skill. It was something he did quite well. "What do you have in mind?" he asked suddenly.

Rixar turned around to find Cyril already in the room now. Rixar felt someone's presense but he wasn't sure if it was Cyril or someone else. In any case, he smiled, giving a quick bow to Cyril, his eyes not allowing Cyril to leave his sight. After the quick bow, he wanted to get right to what he wanted to talk about, since Cyril now asked his question. "Well..." he started off saying, trying to think about what to say. "I was wondering if you could include two other forms in my training. Ataru and telekinetic lightsaber combat. I'd still like to finish Sokan first though, just so that I have that down." He hoped what he was asking for wasn't too much for him to be asking. It took good part of the entire day yesterday to finish the basics of two forms and about a good part of the third. Now Rixar was asking to finish the basics of the third while now including two other forms, one of which was a not very commonly used form. He really hoped it wasn't too much to ask.

Cyril Khan

Cyril cocked his eye for a moment. He hadn't taught anything but the grips of Sokan, and they completely imitated that of Ataru. He also did not state the forms he was teaching. This showed that Rixar had a good connection to the Force. It wouldn't take much effort to read Cyril's mind, but it would still take either ability or training to do it still. The only way Rixar would have known Sokan was a part of the teachings is if he heard Cyril think it. Finishing Sokan wouldn't be a problem; its basics were simular to Ataru, while the intermediate and advanced skills differed greatly. If he taught the ataru basics, they would look identical to the Sokan basics, mostly.

"Telekinetic lightsaber fighting?" Cyril said. "I will teach teach you Ataru's basics then we will begin that. Sokan and Ataru share simular basics, so I will teach Ataru for now. Their advanced skills differ greatly, however."

With that he motioned for Rixar to take a ready stance and began to teach the basics of Ataru. The basics of forms are closely intertwined. The differences are shown when a form gets more complex. Cyril taught the basics until everything was covered. By that time it was deep into the afternoon. At this point, Rixar would know the basics well enought to practice them on his own.

When the teaching was finished, Cyril motioned for Rixar to sit down. With that Cyril paced a bit then asked clearly, "Tell me what you know about telekinesis."

Michael Vereaux

Rixar couldn't tell if Cyril was surprised or impressed that he knew the forms that he was teaching to him. In any case, he didn't mind if he had either simple emotion in him at that moment. Frankly though, he was getting a few headaches since he came to the station. He didn't know if it was because of the change in planet or if it was because of all the Force users but it hasn't come back in some time now. Rixar dismissed it though as being just the change of planets, seeing as a change of climate can have just the same effect on someone as well. Another reason for the headaches could be the large amount of information that Rixar was just consumming one after the other. About the Jedi, the Code, lightsaber forms, it was pretty good amount of information to get in such a short time. Besides the basics that Cyril taught Rixar, Rixar knew the forms because he had seen them before while looking up information about them. Not much information though for each, seeing as he had limited information here at the Station but it was enough that he could tell between them.

The day came and went, Rixar a bit tired by now as he practiced the basics with Cyril throughout the day. Looking out the window of the room they were in, the sun was pretty low in the sky from its noon point, about three fourths of the way and in a few more hours, three or four at the most, the sky would be pitch black. Doing as Cyril asked for Rixar to do, turning off his training lightsaber, the yellow blade zipping back into the hilt, he sat down cross legged, a little bit relaxed now from training. "Well..." he started after hearing Cyril's question. "...Hmmm.....being able to move anything around yourself with your mind. What you did yesterday was telekinesis actually when you moved the datapads and crytals, now that I think about it." He pretty much explained what it was in a general fashion really. There were some other things that came to his mind too...like a general term that often came up while he was studying and training in his room into the late hours of the night. The Force powers of Push and Pull were two that came up pretty often.

Now was a good time for a Force lesson. In order to learn the basics of telekinetic lightsaber styles, you must master the basics of at least telekinesis. Cyril chuckled a bit; this was by far his greatest field in the Force, and no other Jedi match him in it. "Indeed," Cyril chuckled. "Telekinesis is defined, in general, as moving an object with your mind; however, in truth it is much more than that. Telekinesis is a very interesting thing, once you learn what is known, and not known, about it."

Cyril looked directly at Rixar and did not move a single muscle. Even so the desk that contained the holocron and the crystals moved gently off the ground and towards the two. "The true power of telekinesis is clouded by illusion. Many Jedi can see past this illusion if they are aware of it, but none can clear it fully; my family line is the first to remove the shroud, due to our disability. Tell me what the greatest illusion in the world is."

Michael Vereaux

Rixar listened to Cyril talk throughout the conversation, even though his eyes looked over toward the desk once it started moving. Though it was moving, he was still listening to the speech as he watched. 'Illusion?' thought Rixar to himself as he watched the desk, wondering to himself what he meant by that. He was surprised that Cyril had a disability at all when he mentioned it, making Rixar look back toward Cyril. His question also throw Rixar off a bit, not really having a clue as to what might be the greatest illusion. He looked toward the ground, bitting down on his bottom lip, thinking to himself as to what the heck might be the greatest illusion. [i]'Well...illusions are meant to fool people by making them think its something else...so...'[i] He bit down on his lip harder, trying to think before he opened his mouth. "An illusion that is able to fool anyone and everyone," he said to Cyril, looking up at him. He hoped he got that right because illusions were not something he really thought about.

Cyril Khan
07-01-2007, 05:15 PM
Cyril shook his head. He wasn't disappointed; many council members weren't aware of the illusions of the galaxy and of the Force. Rixar had one thing correct; an illusion was something that fools anyone and everything. The greatest illusion always fools the greatest of minds.

"No, but you are on the right track," Cyril chuckled. "One thing to keep in mind about illusions; everyone is capable of falling victim to them. Even Mandalorians cannot keep out every illusion that a Jedi or Sith may pass off on them. A mind is like a guard; it is trained to know what is fake and real. Some minds know better than others, like the Mandalorians. However, the greatest guard can be fooled by a good illusion, especially when the illusionist knows how the guard works, and so can the mind.

The greatest illusion is separation. Everything is connected."

Michael Vereaux
07-01-2007, 05:30 PM
Well, Rixar knew for one that anything that wasn't a good illusion that actually tried to fool him wasn't going to work. He was born with the same strong will as many of the other Mandalorians are. He didn't know if he would stand up against really powerful ones though but it was a thought to keep track of in the back of his head. Although this idea of seperation that Cyril was talking about... "By seperation...what do you mean?" He didn't really understand what he meant in that fashion really. He got the last part where everything is connect. The Force connects everything but how that went with seperation, the only thing that Rixar could think of was seperating a person from the Force. It was something he ran across once or twice before.

Cyril Khan
07-01-2007, 10:19 PM
Cyril thought careful about what he had to say. This was an important part of learning telekinesis, properly. "Things you think are separate are actually one and the same. The planets and factions of the galaxy; we are all one people, but we all live as if divided. The separation of the Light and Dark is a great illusion. In reality, the two work harmoniously. In telekinesis, the greatest technique comes from the balance. The Force binds everything together. There is only one Force; people take purity as Light, and corruption as Dark. In truth they are both the Force.

To work telekinesis is not as simple as it looks, if taught properly. This may sound strange, but the difficult basics I know lead to extreme connection to the telekinetic part of the Force.

Stand and keep your eyes open. Picture the room; I will move the table randomly around the room. Tell me where it is compared to you in the room. This is a training exercise for Telekinetic Sense. This is needed for advanced telekinetic usage."

Michael Vereaux
07-01-2007, 10:56 PM
What Cyril was saying...in its entirity, it actually made sense to him. He didn't know really how at the moment but it was something to think about later on after today. When he was told to stand up and sense around him where the table was while Cyril moved it, he stood up, closing his eyes as he waited. Silently, he waited and pictured the room within his head. At the same time though, his mouth opened to speak. "When you talked about your disability, what did you mean by it?" Frankly, he had wanted to know more about his master as they trained while at the same time training. It wasn't uncommon for Rixar to do such a thing. He has done it many times before anyway.

Cyril Khan
07-02-2007, 01:55 AM
Cyril held the table still. This drill was difficult, and many have done exactly what Rixar had just done: close his eyes. Most master tell their padawan's to close their eyes. In truth, this allows the user to focus more clearly. This is not what Cyril had in mind, however. "Kepp your eyes open," he repeated softly.

Rixars question partially surprised him. Perhaps the disability he had wasn't public news. That would be a good thing indeed. "Jedi in general have access to all aspects of the Force," Cyril responded, "Some are restricted to the very areas. They can know the techniques better than any other Jedi alive and still never be able to use any power in their restricted field. However, like the senses; when one becomes blind, hearing becomes stronger. When one becomes deaf, the can keep focus better on their target. The same is with the Force. Most Jedi with disabilities cannot use telekinesis. Mine is the opposite. I can only use telekinesis, which is why I know more about it than any other Jedi. I know the techniques for non-telekinetic powers... I can use them rarely; under estreem stress I often find myself unconsciously using a power I cannot use now. It is at those times of extreme pain, stress, or torment that it shows I am perhaps more powerful than I seem."

Cyril did not mind the conversation; the goal of this drill was for Rixar to locate the table with distractions. Telekinetic lightsaber fighting requirets the use of telekinesis when there are great distractions. As for his disability, he had no shame of it. The fact he had not conscious control of anything but telekinesis was nothing to be ashamed of; especially if it increases your telekinetic ability.

Rixar sighed slightly, opening his eyes. He wondered why he just closed his eyes when he heard Cyril say clearly to keep them open. Maybe he was just tired and sleepy was all and needed to shut his eyes for a moment. He kept them open now though, thank goodness on Rixar's part. Cyril's tale about his disability was some what...oh, he didn't know...sad, he guessed. Being able to use only telekinesis when you know you're using it and only able to use the other areas of the Force under extreme stress, pain or what have you. "It must be annoying sometimes, don't you think? Being able to only use telekinesis?" he said to Cyril, waiting for him to move the table and such but still wanting to talk about this stuff. A laugh escaped from his mouth a moment later, a small smile on his face. "I for sure would be a little annoyed."

Cyril Khan
07-12-2007, 05:14 PM
Cyril moved the table to a corner of the room behind Rixar. It was the one closest to the door. This test was not meant to be hard, but to increase telekinetic awareness.

Cyril also thought over what Rixar said. He never thought that such a thing was an annoyance, but it was clear to him why. "I have never really been annoyed by it. Is a person born blind annoyed that he cannot see? He is not familular with such a thing. However, the blind man has one advantage; his sense of hearing is heightened. He may never get the chance to see, but he will hear better than anyone else alive because hearing is the only thing he knows. Same with me force potential. I can only use telekinesis, and so I have a greater telekinetic awareness than any other Jedi. I am even beginning to be able to see things at a molecular level. I don't think it is a curse given to me by the Force, but a gift. The Force gives more than it takes; it is neither innately good or evil. It will cause horrible things to occur in order for it to make grand things happen. The light must always balance with the dark, because they are one."

Rixar, trying as he was with what Cyril was trying to teach him, actually did sense the movement of the chair near the door. He was glad that he was able to, seeing as his senses were pretty active as it was. Smiling, he began to speak about the chair's location. "It's currently behind me...in a corner of the room..." Pausing he needed to think about the location around him too, trying to either sense or remember what is around the chair. Finally, he spoke again. "Near the door?" asked Rixar, half wondering if he was right and also half wondering if Cyril would reply to the question and move on. If they did move on, Rixar can pretty much guess that he got the answer right. As to what Cyril said, Rixar did not reply, feeling that it wasn't needed to speak about what he said. What Rixar did though is think about what he said.

Cyril said nothing to show Rixar was right or wrong. He was silent and showed no outward expression to give anything away. He stood this way for a quite a few moments before he did anything. It would have seemed like minutes before he actually broke the silence.

"There are many things in this room; many things that you could be seeing in the corner. Focus on the thing you believe to be the chair; then, focus on the space between you and me."

He didn't tell Rixar this, but if he did this correctly, the chair would soon be hovering in front of him.

Finding it slightly odd that he was told this, Rixar did it anyway though, focusing on the chair in his mind, as well as the space between himself and Cyril. He blinked his eyes a few times, trying to focus as much as he could into what Cyril said for him to do.

I understand that the training is for when he is using lightsabers, he knows where they are even if he's not looking directly at them but he'd see them with his normal eyes first if they cross right in front of him. I mean, even if he is seeing them through the Force, it's not stopping him from using his normal eyes to see. So why make the chair pass in front of Rixar when he would see the chair first with his normal eyes?)

(Alright: I have a habit about making things too complex sometimes. Lets start from here...)

IC:

Cyril paced in his area thinking. He stopped and turned towards Rixar. He then looked at the chair in the corner and nodded. "What you see in the corner is the chair. I will now teach you the core ability of telekinesis. It is the basis of push and pull. Once you master this core ability, you have mastered both skills. Also, you will be ready to invest time in telekinetic lightsaber training.

Begin by focusing on the chair. Do not face it, but see it in your mind. Then focus on the space above it. This will make the chair float a few feet above the ground."

Michael Vereaux
07-26-2007, 07:59 PM
(Okay ^-^)

Rixar smiled shyly, glad that he was able to sense the movement of the chair that was in the corner. He didn't know if he had been doing it right but it appeared that he did and for that, it made him a bit happy of himself considering he's been training in lightsaber combat and studying for some time without doing anything that even related to Force Powers. Doing as Cyril said, he focused in his mind an image of the chair itself and then the space above it, in the back of his mind, wanting to make the chair move upward. A second later, the chair began to rise slowly in the air and soon, it was about a meter above the ground, still continuing to rise slowly.

Cyril Khan
08-05-2007, 01:41 AM
Cyril nodded at the correct technique. The technique was right, it just needed plenty of practice before the entire skill would be considered easy. He motion to the chair and continued the lesson. ”Now, using the same method, move the chair across the room. Take your time; speed comes through perfection of the technique. Do not be hasty. If you cannot manage it, that is fine; it takes plenty of practice to reach the point where this skill takes minor effort. It took me years to master moving the chair across the room and waste almost no energy, and I am most capable in the telekinetic field than any other JedI you will ever meet or hear of. Do not be discouraged if you fail. It will come through practice.” He motioned for Rixar to begin moving the chair. This was difficult for a new Padawan, but it would gradually get easier. Master of the technique would lead to minor effort being used.

Nodding, Rixar sighed outwardly, though didn't move at all really. His breathing was slow, steady as he focused, focused as much as he could on what he was doing. The chair, hovering still above the ground, just hovered. Imagining the action of what Cyril wanted being done, he thought it and withing a moment or two, the chair slowly, but surely, began to go around the room, the same height above the ground as before. A minute, then another passed before the chair was hovering back where it was, Rixar still breathing but a bit tired. He was going to have to work at this.

((I am sorry for the looong wait. I have just returned from a three week vacation. I'll have more time to post now.))

Cyril smiled once Rixar had finished. He pulled out his lightsaber and instructed the Padawan to do the same. Rixar had succeeded in a difficult task. The chair was made out of a very heavy material. It was designed to increase the strength of one's push and pull connection. "Now," Cyril said to his student. "Move your lightsaber across the room. You will find it much easier." Because Rixar had moved such a heavy item, a lightsaber would feel like moving no more than a five pound weight. Over time and practice with that practice chair, a lightsaber would beel only like a feather to lift.

(That's okay ^-^ I'll most likely only be able to get on at night, if not very late at night like right now considering my freshman year is starting in highschool. Weekends are no problem though ^-^)

Pulling his lightsaber out with his right hand, he held it loosely in his hand to his side, listening to Cyril about what to do. After the chair, Rixar considered that this would be a lot easier to do. Imagining the space in which he wanted his lightsaber to move, it moved quite more easily compared to that chair. It swayed in mid air for a moment, making Rixar frown slightly but it stopped doing that once it started to move about the room at a bit of a pace, moving about half a foot around the room every two or three seconds. Rixar was wanting to take it slightly slow, though this would most likely be slow enough. Looking over at Cyril, he smiled a little bit, wondering if Cyril was happy with what he was able to do so far.

Cyril watched as the lightsaber crossed the room. He then faced Rixar and nodded. The technique was done properly. "Well done," he said to the padawan. "You have the technique down. If you keep practicing, you will find that the ability to push, pull and lift objects is no longer tiresome. It is difficult to reach the point where it comes effortlessly; few masters have reached that point. However, if you practice, I can see you being a master of the this core skill."

Cyril motioned for Rixar to return his lightsaber to his hand. "I will now teach you Force Jump." He demonstrated by jumping upwards to the high ceiling and landing gracefully back to the ground. "Feel the Force around you, similar to the way you moved the chair and lightsaber, and move yourself. It is more advanced and requires more effort, but it becomes easy over time. The stronger you become with this ability, the further and higher you can jump."

(Wait...Force Jump is more of a Force power to increase the muscles of the body, not lifting yourself up into the air)

((sorry, i know it's not my place to say it, but mike, remember, Cyril can ONLY use telekinesis. So naturally, his force jump is different. And remember, he's the teacher. What he says goes... Again, sorry for the intrusion.))

(I know he can only use telekinesis but calling it Force Jump is not correct. It's like Force Jump but he's only lifting himself up, not using the Force to increase his leg power and speed. It's not Force Jump, even if they look the same.)

((Now tell me where on earth the word "lift" appeared in my description? "Simular" did, but not "lift"))

(You might not be using the word lift but you said used "simular to," refering to the action of lifting when Rixar moved the chair and lightsaber, which is lifting in itself. I'm not questioning how you worded it, I'm questioning that the techique of your own "Force Jump" is not the same as what I could think of "Force Jump". If Cyril (your character) had said that what he was doing was like Force Jump, I wouldn't be having a problem with it but considering that he's calling it Force Jump when the way he is using it is not actually Force Jump would put anyone off, including me later on if I'm predicting it well enough. At least for me.)

OOC: I am starting over as a new day. I sent you a PM, if you haven’t seen it yet, regarding my reasoning. I am going to try to finish up this aged training thread, in a careful fashion, so you can become the Knight you personally are ready to and should be.

IC: Cyril rose from his meditation as Rixar stepped into the training room for the day’s studies. He planned to review the student’s skills he had taught in the past few weeks; he planned to also to teach a couple new skills that would aid in his Jedi life. He had organized the studies carefully for the day. He would begin by drilling Rixar on the Lightsaber techniques he knew very well. Each form would take time to just completely go through their katas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kata); this would take up a good deal of the day, but it would profess to Cyril that Rixar was well versed in the forms he had selected. I t would signify that the Padawan was ready to begin his own Lightsaber style.

Second thing he would review was the telekinesis core abilities. Rixar was current adept in this field; he had been taught by the best alive. After having the student move chairs, lightsabers, and random objects across the room and critiquing the technique, then he would be satisfied to teach the telekinetic lightsaber combat basics the following day. He was certain the Padawan was ready to begin that very day, but he had to make sure. In order to have time to go over something new, he would not have time to fully teach the basics of a complex form. He would, however, have the time needed to evaluate Rixar’s skill in technique.

Finally he planned to teach Rixar in the ability of Force Jump. He remembered how his old master taught this very skill. He did this differently, but he was still capable of explaining how Deven Jarmain had done this. This power would take practice to get down, and it would conclude the day’s training. Rixar was a strong student, and Cyril had no doubt that he would learn this skill well.

Knowing how the day was planned to work out, he greeted Rixar silently and picked up a sparring lightsaber. ”Let us begin,’ he said firmly. The day then followed along as organized. The review would lead to new skills that would follow on the next day.

(Sorry about not posting until now)

The days went by rather well for Rixar, considering most of them were just reviews if anything else. The lightsaber training was uneventful in his opinion since he had been training anyway since the time he was taught the basics. Rixar thought he did rather well for himself during the lightsaber review, having gone over his lightsaber style in his head for a while now. The telekinesis abilities were a bit harder though but he still thought he used them rather well. Rixar did have to say though that it was getting easier to use telekinesis every time he did it, making it easier on himself in general as well. Then there was that of Force Jump. That was an ability that was rather interesting to learn as well as a bit difficult but Rixar got it down easily enough after doing it a few times. Once he got it down, it just got easier from there.

(Sorry for the short post. Couldn't think of anything else :crybaby: )

OOC: sorry about the wait again...

The following day and weeks passed similarly. Review was a constant in everyday activity. Constant practice leads to perfection of skills. Review is never a waste, but a gift to give complete mastery. However, review was never alone. New skills and abilities approached the Teacher and student. Telekinetic lightsaber combat arose into learning. The powers of Force Speed and Run were revealed to the pupil. These were simple skills to teach unto a willing student. Cyril knew these would pass quickly through training. Following these was the introduction to telepathy and projecting it. This was difficult for the Telekinesis Master to teach, because he had no conscious ability in telepathy. He reviewed his own learnings from his previous master, and carried those memories and notes into the present. Among the telepathy figures was announced the Knight level Force Sense.

For weeks on end were these power drilled and practice. Cyril knew his power of teaching only lied among telekinesis and sword training; those two fields Rixar would become a master of quickly. The telepathic and other core abilities of the Force would be less powerful. Cyril knew he lacked the proficiency to teach them fully, but his special plan for a passing mission was intended to heal any training scars; meaning any teachings that were taught improperly. The mission would be announced when Rixar was seen ready.

The days went on rather...peacefully. Not quite what Rixar had expected but in any case, decided that it wasn't something to worry about. The talk of war was getting tiresome and training was still as fresh as ever. At least that was one thing that kept Rixar off the topic of war. Everything using that of telekinetic ability went rather well, even using Force Speed was easy. Force Sense was equally as good, if not a little bit better but then there was that of telepathy. That was a little hard to get around with but in any case, he did rather well. Sword fighting though was still his best ability by far and has since been very well versed in most of the basics. It's just the practicing he has to keep up with. With that stuff going smoothly enough, he wondered when he would become a Knight. He thought he might be near the end of his training but who knows. Rixar didn't have much thought of it so far, considering he's still a Padawan and stuff.

(Sorry about not replying until now. Bad week so far)
