Rome Total War.

Does anyone play it?My favorite factions are the Germans and the Greeks. The Phlanx is really good.

Why?You have to acutally use strategy in that game or you will get owned by the computer and yes i have gotten owned by the computer. Only in the battles when they force to pull strattegies out of your ass and automatically start the battle.

oh...Its better then the Civilization games. The only thing i really play are the imperial campaigns. Sometimes there really annoying cause you will be minding your own busness and some forgien invaders come and you have to kick there ass in a battle. Then you request a ceasefire and they refuse and come with another army then you have to build up and army and destroy there faction. The only thing that sucks is that its ike an acuctuall society where you have to pay the whole army(Upkeep). The Generals have traits some of them are really good to have some of them are bad like the loon trait is one of the worst ones for a general to have.

oh my god - i sit next to thie person in class who was obsesed with that game last year - he couold not stop talking about it - like how he defended this from a malitia of this and that - bored me after a while

I dont have it, but i do have Medieval:Total War.... have to bragg that i'm a master tactician... Refused flank, counter with a pincer then roll up their battle line.... ah happy, happy days...

Thats the way i am.I must have told my friend george how i beat 800 greeks with 250 eypgtions about 100 times then he said john you told me all ready i know.

I brag about how i beat the computer aswell. Like i lured the spartans out of sparta and i made them fight other phalaxs from the front and i slingers at the side and i destroyed them with caverly in wedge formation. I did this for awhile then i made the elephants trample the rest of there men and the other phlaxs move in. That was a historical battle and those are hard. I got owned by the spartans in this battle twice before i i finally whopped there ass.

yea - thats what he was always saying about he was outnumbered or something, but he manages to win
but i dont really play PC games anyway

Yeah it gets addicting and when start to win alot of battles you get excited and then you really want to be a general and see if your any good. I just installed barbarian invasion and the huns are awesome. There caverly rules. I just played the battle of chadons. I lost but who cares i killed the roman general and that king theodoric so it does not matter there pretty much screwed now. I can say who cares cause the huns acutally lost that in real life.

Yeah well i'm not to sure about the troop types and formations in R:TW, But the stuff in M:TW is pretty diverse and cool.

The fact that their are sooo many Units and that they actually have really indvidual qualities and abilites on the battlefield makes it that much better -
