Kogasu vs. Sen Helto

[Darman]

Rules: No death



Kogasu stood shivering slightly as he waited for the Jedi leader, Sen Helto. He had challenged him to a duel, to prove his worth as a fighter for the Jedi and not just some useless knight. He kept his hands in his pockets as he breathed quietly as he concentrated the force around him, letting in warm him from within. He kept his eyes closed and senses open as he waited for the Jedi Master on the cold planet of Hoth.

[Dexington]

*Sen walked up from behind Kogasu, arms behind his back and whistling a friendly tune. Fighting a Jedi Knight? Why would he be doing this?*

"Evening govenor."

[Darman]

Kogasu turned slowly to face the approaching Nautolan in the white snow. He smiled widly and bowed deeply to the Jedi Master as he came within a few feet of Kogasu. Kogasu then rose slowly and spoke loudly over the howling and freezing wind.

"I am glad to see you here Master Helto. I wish for you to accept my challenge to a practice spar; I hope to show you my worth to the Jedi."

[Dexington]

"I have helped you with your training since you came to the Jedi. You question my knowledge of your worth to the Jedi?"

[Darman]

"I don't question you Master, I only wish to show you my full potential to help the Jedi. I feel as though I have not had the complete opportunity to show what I'm made of. Completing missions is one thing, but a first hand experience is another. Master."

[Dexington]

"Fair enough..."

*Sen kicked at the snow under him and then looked up at the sky. He then licked his thumb and held it up, testing the wind. Really, he was doing that to make it look like he was calculating something so Kogasu would worry about it the entire time. Wind had nothing to do with lightsaber combat, but it might sway the odd grenade. He then stood to face Kogasu with both arms behind his back. He had a lightsaber in each hand, but Kogasu didn't know it.*

"You get first move."

[Darman]

Kogasu nodded to Sen then reached back and grabbed two knives. He held them infront of him, then began to walk around Sen. When he faced the Jedi Master's side, Kogasu sprung forward with incredible speed and slashed at Sen's head with one blade, and stabbed to his leg with the other.

[Dexington]

*The force was with Sen this day, it always seemed to be more than ever lately. He knew Kogasu would attack from a blind spot, but he didn't know it would be with knives. Not that it would really matter, Sen didn't think he would be hit. As Kogasu came diving in, Sen took a big step backwards, watching as Kogasu missed by a yard, smiling.*

[Darman]

Kogasu landed in the snow, but quickly answered the Jedi Master's movement with another attack. The two knoves flew out of his hands, and dove towards the Nautolan's right leg and arm. It would seem impossible that the knives knew where to go, but Kogasu was easily controlling the movements with the force.

[Dexington]

*Sen spun to the right instantly, narrowly dodging the two knives. He then saw Kogasu laying on the ground defenseless. No knives, no lightsabers within site, highly doubtful within reach for the time that he had. Sen ignited his blue lightsaber as he spun, and came down with a strike at Kogasu's chest, fully prepared to stop if he couldn't defend.*

[Darman]

Kogasu smiled as he saw the blue blade coming straight for him. Instantly, he brought the force around the snow and shot it up at the Jedi's hand. He closed it around Sen's hand, stopping all the movement. Kogasu then rolled backwards and got up, then released the hold on the snow around the Nautolan's hand.

"You can call me 'Master of the Ice'."

Kogasu grinned, then brought two more knives to his hands. He then brought the snow to circle him with the force, then shot it at the Jedi Master with suprising strength.

[Dexington]

"I could call you late for dinner..."

*Such an irrelevant remark seemed appropriate for the time. Sen was more having fun right now than anything. As the snow started coming towards him, he held out his free hand and used a force wave, hurtling the snow directly back at Kogasu.*

[Darman]

Kogasu jumped high into the air, letting the snow fly underneath him. While in mid air, he brought the snow from underneath Sen's feet to grasp onto his legs and hold him there. Kogasu then landed a few feet away from the Jedi Master, then brought the snow around himself and waited with the knives ready.

[Dexington]

*Sen stood calm, and rose so that he was standing straight up, then looked down at his feet. Apparently Kogasu thought he had the upper hand by playing with the snow, but all it was doing was tiring himself out. Sen shrugged his shoulders and looked at Kogasu, lightsaber at the ready.*

[Darman]

Kogasu smiled as he slowly loosened his grip on the snow around the Master's legs to suddenly bring the snow around him in a cold and white blur. Kogasu squeezed the snow around the Nautolan's body, not enough to make him loosed his breath but enough to show him Kogasu's expertice with manipulating the force.

Kogasu then closed his eyes and rose the Nautolan and the snow off the ground a few inches and held him there. Kogasu slowly opened his eyes and smiled, only able to think of Sen's reaction.

[Dexington]

"Who do you think I am?"

*Really? Sen had spent around 5 years training on Hoth during a self-exile from the Jedi. You would think after that amount of time, he would build up some sort of mastery with the snow, resistance and ability to react to it. He had his arms crossed inside the snow attack, then forced them outwards using the force to enhance his strength, the outburst sending all the snow all over the place. He landed back on his feet and brushed off his robes.*

"You might get me wet!"

[Darman]

Kogasu grinned as Sen broke out of his hold; he would have been suprised if the leader of the Jedi couldn't get out of that. Kogasu took a moment to think, then smiled widly.

"If you know me well, you know I always like to try something new. This battle is no different."

Kogasu dropped the knife in his right hand, then brought the force around the snow below him. He rose it up so it would be placed on his arm, then concentrated the molecules of the snow to become more dense, thus making rock hard ice. Kogasu then brought his second knife up and carved a sharp point on the ice blade, then looked to Sen.

[Dexington]

*Sen quirked an eyebrow as Kogasu made his knife turn to ice. Why would he do that? Sure, it might be point now, but it would be very easy to shatter, and it could be melted. The old dagger was better when nothing was done with it.*

"That won't work..."

[Darman]

"Like I said before, I like to try new things. We shall see if it works."

Kogasu then reached into his pack and pulled out a small sphere and put it into the hole on the end of a knife without the ice. He then threw it at Sen with amazing speed, and controlled it's movements with the force. As it neared, Kogasu activated the sphere with the force and a great white light exploded out of the sphere. Light shot towards Sen as the knife continued at him, the snow reflecting even more light everywhere.

[Dexington]

*As the knife came towards Sen, he held his lightsaber in it's way, and as the frozen weapon went through the heated blade, it melted to nothingness. However, the flashbang went off too quickly for Sen to close his eyes, and he was temporarily blinded. Luckily, he had the force to see.*

[Darman]

Kogasu rushed forward hoping that the flash gernade had done it's job. As he ran, Kogasu pulled out two knives, one for each hand. Kogasu dove towards the Jedi Master as he stabbed towards Sen's foot and chest at the same time.

[Dexington]

*Using the force as his eyes, Sen saw what Kogasu was trying to do. Apparently he was going to stab him in two opposite sides of the body, which would leave him completely wide open and defenseless for a killing strike, right in half. Too bad it wasn't a death match. Sen hit the knife going for his chest with his lightsaber, then used that leverage to do a mid-air cartwheel over Kogasu's arm, going over the foot attack. He then stepped backwards, attempting to open his eyes, seeing only a blur still, he got into Soresu.*

[Darman]

Kogasu turned to the Jedi Master and quickly closed his eyes to clear his mind. After a few seconds, Kogasu used Quy'Tek, making himself invisible to Sen if he tried to sense him. Kogasu then looked to the Nautolan and ran to him again. This time, Kogasu jumped before he reached him and slashed downwards at his head.

[Dexington]

*Apparently Kogasu didn't really understand force sight, which lets you see through the force, not sense where people are. Being so, Sen saw Kogasu clearly jumping at him and held his lightsaber up to block the attack, then spun around to face where Kogasu was about to land.*

[Darman]

OOC: oh, I thought you were sensing where I was at...lol.

Kogasu landed infront of the Nautolan and looked at him. Kogasu crouched slightly and brought the force to his own feet, knowing it was time for a new approach. After a few moments, he vanished into thin air with swirling snow floating where he was a second before.

After a few moments, Kogasu appeared behind the Jedi Master in a crouching position. He jumped up and stabbed both blades towards Sen's back. What really happened was Kogasu used his own speed and the force to blast around Sen's side faster the a gun shot, seeming to teleport.

[Dexington]

*As soon as Sen saw Kogasu disappear, he knew what he was trying to do. He had helped in his training after all. If Kogasu thought his force speed was superior, he had another thing coming. Right when Kogasu had disappeared, Sen had pulled the exact same move, going forward a lot more and turning at the same time, amusingly watching as Kogasu stabbed the air.*

[Darman]

After a few moments of staying in the same position, Kogasu realized he didn't hit anything. The Jedi Knight looked up to see Sen smiling at him from a few feet infront of him. Kogasu grinned and rose slowly, then brought back his head and ran his hand through his hair casually.

"Well, I guess I'm supposed to expect something like that from a Jedi like yourself."

Kogasu flipped the knives in his hands a few times, then stuck them back in his pack. He then looked to Sen and let out a small chuckle, then brought his to his sides.

"How 'bout we go 'caveman' and only use our own body for the fight, eh Master?"

Kogasu then brought the force to his hands and feet, then look his own personal stance. He brought his right hand out infront of him and faced his palm to Sen. His left hand then went behind his back and curled into a loose fist. Kogasu then grinned and stood as tall as possible, then waited for Sen to make his move.
