Need some cash. Man do I need some cash, I gotta cravin' for blood and money. I know where to get some too.
He slinked his was down the street, like a less than sober man would. But, this man hadn't been touched glass that day and he was feeling an itch. But there was no money to scratch it with, no bars would let him pay them back, he was terrible with debt. He still owed a few places some bucks.
He shook slightly as he pulled a poorly rolled cigarette out of his picket. Catching his shoulder on a lamp post he lit it and kept on, a little more calm and a little more sure of himself. "Hey baby you're a sweet young thing, still tied to Mommy's apron strings. Oh, I love this place." He sang lightly to himself as he checked his pistol and knife. They were there, and so was a snub in his boot.

"Well, the Outlander Club was a bust." Samanya murmured, running one of her hands through the blond hair topping her furry head as she padded down one of the countless thousands of streets that created the vast and intricate maze that was the city-world of Coruscant. She was lucky she had quit drinking when she had; any more alcohol, and her judgment would probably have been badly impaired.
As it was, the strong drink was slightly messing with her motor skills, and she noted that she was feeling more brazen than she had been before her short visit to the Outlander club, which ended with a fight that ultimately cost her the jacket she had been wearing, which someone stole while she was pummeling one of the rowdy spacers populating the nightclub.
Thus, she was clothed in little more than her typical snug-fitting short sleeved bodysuit and a pair of cargo pants. Hardly what she would have chosen to wear in this particular sector of the world. Especially since she was unfamiliar with the local area, and really had no idea what she was getting herself into. Her only comforts were the handgun sitting in a holster on her right hip, and the combat vibroblade tucked into a sheath at the back of her belt, though she had no idea how effective she'd be in a fight with the weapons, considering her slightly intoxicated state.
After walking for a fair time, the cathar woman came to a halt and planted her hands on her hips as she looked around. [I]"Great." She thought to herself, a scowl forming on her lips. "First I get into a barfight, then I found myself under the influence, and now I'm lost. This day just keeps getting better and better."
However, luck was on her side - or at least it seemed to be, for the moment - as she spotted a man not too far away, leaning upon one of the lampposts dotting the street. "Hey, you!" She called out, as she turned to him and started walking to the man. "I don't mean to intrude, but somehow I've managed to get myself lost. Can you tell me how to reach the nearest air-taxi station?"

Huri turned on his post and faced the Cathar. "Keep on walkin' you'll find a taxi on down the way." He exhaled smoke at the woman. Quite rudely, but he had none of the appearances of a sober man.
He had plans for this one, blaster, vibro-weapon. A good catch, he just needed her to turn her back. He slumped down on the post, trying successfully to imitate the actions inebriated person. From his slumped state he would be able to grab his blaster once the woman was far enough away to get a safe shot.

Samanya waved her hand in front of her muzzle once to fan away the stench of the cheap cigarra smoke. "Thanks." She replied with a hint of annoyance in her voice, as she stared intently at the man for a moment with those sapphire-blue eyes. Even in her slightly inebriated state, she could sense that something wasn't right. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
However, cat-like curiosity, combined with a penchant for stating the obvious and helped along by a couple shots of brandy, ended up making the Cathar woman stay put for the moment as she planted her hands on her hips and slightly cocked her head as she examined the man who, to her, appeared to clearly be drunk.
"Not to sound rude, but how many drinks have you had?" She asked bluntly, quirking one eyebrow e'er so slightly at the man as she awaited an answer.

"All of them." He responded, his voice barely allowing the words to be audible. He cackled slightly and then smiled sheepishly. "Why? You up for somethin'?"

"Right, just another drunk. Albeit, not a terribly bad-looking drunk." Samanya thought with an inward chuckle, before the young woman somewhat shamelessly flirted back, "Depends on what that something is, Mr...?"

"I'm Ruu," He let his name drag on for too long and tried to buy time. He really wasn't into Cathars and all he wanted was some credits and crap. He tried to think of a way to get her to leave. "You know lady, not tonight, I'll just stay here for a bit." He mumbled on and forced a burp somewhere in there. Obviously it was time for her to shove off.

Samanya slightly raised one eyebrow again. Something really was off with this fellow. First he flirts, then he kind of... What was the word... Retracts? She didn't know, but whatever it was, she didn't like it. However, she really couldn't do the safe thing and simply shoot him in the kneecap or something, just in case he was up to no good, as it was entirely possible he was just so hammered that he flirted with anything with a pair of breasts, and could only figure out what exactly he was hitting on until after a few moments had passed.
Still, she had a feeling it wasn't the latter. But again, same problem. She couldn't quite justify shooting him, or even delivering a swift kick to his groin. So, she went with the only option available. "Right. Well try not to drink anymore than you already have, Ruu." She replied with a wink, before starting to backpedal in the same direction she had come from, putting several meters between herself and the man before she turned around and reached down to her pistol, wrapping her fingers around its grip as she broke into a light jog, heading down the street away from him.

Paranoid piece of shit. No good, it had a gun. Too difficult, he'd have to wait for her to calm down. Easily enough, the way she was going was not to any station, but down a residential area. There were no side streets, just locked doors and windows, and shallow rooftops... Lots of sallow rooftops, at least for Cruscant they were. He continued on, but there was about ten meters of clear rooftop to each side for miles.
Once she was out of sight he found his was to a metal sliding door, there he pulled it open, it was loud, but not loud enough to cut through the noise of the planet. Inside was a list that swiftly delivered him to a roof, the stories above. Now to find her. He grabbed and checked his pistol, all was good to go. Swiftly he began his hunt.
There she was, as he peeked over the roof for another glance at the street. All alone, everyone else was in their snug little beds. But wait, there were others. Others held similar intentions as he, but they lacked the skill. There were four of them, all with chains and guns. They neared the Cathar and called out, oh, what fun it would be to watch.

At first, Samanya thought things were going fairly well. She made it a good distance into the residential district without trouble - looked like most everyone was in bed or off partying. However, 'most everyone' didn't seem to cover the neighborhood punks. Ahead of her, she spotted four individuals, each armed with chains and pistols.
"Kriff! I swear to the gods, I'm never leaving the safehouse without my Capo again." She muttered to herself, as they called out to her, causing the cathar to instantly freeze and then start to backpedal, before dashing to the other side of the street and glancing over her shoulder as she doubled-back and headed out the way she had come in. The thugs started approaching her - not good.
There was no doubt to the intention of these men, and she wasn't about to be robbed, raped, and then shot and thrown into the undercity. Not without a hell of a fight first. Sam drew her pistol, laid the sights on the chest of the leader of the four, and fired as she backpedaled, sending a hail of five high-velocity slugs screaming through the night air with accuracy that was mediocre at best. It would be pure luck if even one round found its mark. She threw herself to the side of the street a moment later, taking cover in a doorway for the inevitable return fire.
What she didn't know is that in her frantic cover-taking, she had managed to place herself on the same side of the street that Ru had been stalking her from. Lucky her... Unless he jumped onto her or shot her from above the next time she moved.

OOC: IMO, a decently trained/experienced shooter can backpedal and fire with enough accuracy to hit a man-sized target at around twenty yards distance. Eh, no worries though, it's not a big deal. Edited accordingly.]

What luck, he could have them kill her and then, he could take the remains. Or, in the case with most street punks, they die and he would finish the woman off with a few choice shots.
In the mean time, the punks quickly returned fire wile spreading out and taking cover behind speeders and other cover. Their fire, although not that of a professional, was not inexperienced. Huri gauged that they'd probably killed a few people, but that they were not as skilled as military, maybe on the level of a police officers skill. In any event he expected it to be close enough for comfort. He kept a watch on the girl and the thugs, no one would know what hit them.

Samanya loosed off a volley of fire in retaliation as soon as there was a lull in the gunfire of the thugs. Her burst was aimed at a man hiding behind a speeder, though the intent was more to suppress him than to kill. She dropped the now-empty magazine out of her pistol and slapped in a fresh mag and charged the weapon's bolt, then turned and pumped four rounds into the locking mechanism of the cheap plasteel door behind her before kicking it in, ripping apart the ruined locks and rending the metal near the handle as the door swung inwards and slammed into the wall with a violent crash.
With the door to the apartment open, she ducked inside and forced the damaged door shut again, using a primitive chain-lock that hadn't been engaged to luck it. It would hold off her attackers for a little while, at least.
She ran down the hall away from the door, dust and debris covering the floor of the decrepit housing unit flying away from her boots as she searched for a way out, or at least someplace she could hide. If nothing else, the darkness inside the seemingly abandoned structure gave her an edge, as her night vision was more acute than that of the thugs chasing her.

Blasterfire outside was what prompted him from his room to the shallow stairway. Shortly after his arrival he witnessed the flung open and a Cathar woman speeding past him. Intrigue, not much xenophobia here in the undercity made it interesting that a species that was typically much stronger than humans warranted an attack at this hour.
It wasn't long after that the door was hammered in by, what he could only assume was, her attackers. He'd decided to make a show of it, down the stairs in his best drunken walk, he stammered into the running punks.
"Sithspit," he cursed aloud "you've gone'n scuffed me boots!"
He pushed back off of the front member, as the crowd shoved by he produced a blaster pistol from his waist line, leveling off and training two well placed shots into the back of the last two in the group. Figuring that would level the playing field for the Cathar more, he moved out the front door to see if there was anything valuable left in the street.

OOC: Ok then... Just doesn't make sense to me why you wouldn't shoot at the cathar too.
"Shit... in the building." Now he's have to wait for her to exit out of the door before he could take a shot, even then he's probably have to wait for her guard to be down. At any rate he couldn't expect her to have much ammo on her, she probably had maybe two or three clips on her. Much more would be senseless to have on ones self for just a night out. On that he reasoned she had wasted one already and that she'd used some from another clip. Of course, it only took one bullet to kill a man.
Jiang
07-29-2009, 12:36 AM
Samanya concealed herself in the housing unit's kitchen, hiding behind the kitchen island as she heard the door get kicked in. She was just checking her ammo - she had 3 shots left in her current clip, one round in the chamber, and another clip in reserve for a total of twelve shots - when she heard two blaster shots ring out from the entrance of the domicile, followed by the muffled screams of two different individuals.
Maybe she'd gotten lucky and that stranger - wasn't his name Ruu? - she had bumped into had come along and jumped into the fray. Or maybe it was some grumpy old man in the neighborhood who couldn't stand the sounds of the fighting and decided to pick off a couple of the thugs. Either way, it sounded like she had two less problems to deal with.
She hurriedly swapped out the half-empty magazine for the full one, giving her nine rounds in the weapon and three in the part-empty clip, and then clicked the mostly-empty magazine into place in the mag pouch built into her holster. She drew her vibroblade, figuring she could throw it if she had to, and prepared to face the thugs. She could hear their bootsteps, coming down the hall and into the kitchen. They were close.
Samanya peeked out around the island, sticking her head out just barely enough to glimpse around the flimsy plasteel structure with one of her sapphire blue eyes, which was widened so much from a mix of adrenaline and adaption to the darkness that it appeared nearly all black at first glimpse.
She could see the punks, or at least, she could see the first one coming along. The hall was the only way into the kitchen - she had checked for ways to escape the room already - so she didn't have to worry about being flanked. So, she brought her pistol around the corner, laid the sights over the man's heart, and squeezed the trigger twice, discharging a pair of high-velocity 8x24MM rounds at the human. She didn't wait to see what would happen; the muzzle flash might have given away her position had the second thug seen it, and so she ducked back into the cover of the kitchen island.

There he stood, alone in the street, blaster pistol still in hand, as his eyes traveled along the thoroughfare in front of the apartment building. He wouldn't find much here, didn't seem there were any kills actually made in the street. There was the minorly damaged speeder, he stepped towards it running a hand over the pock marks where someone had shot it, shrugged slightly as he dropped his hand.
"Too hard to fence" he remarked quietly to himself.
He supposed maybe the two he'd took shots at had something worth taking, and turned back towards the door to the complex. Then there was a feeling, a lingering impression that something wasn't quite right, for a long moment he stood still, listening for anything that seemed out of the ordinary.

The man died almost instantly as the pair of hardened slugs tore through his chest, one round passing between ribs and perforating a lung while the other punched through a rib and instantly obliterated one of his kidneys in a hail of metal and bone shards. He cried out in agony and dropped to the ground, incapacitated.
His friend screamed in rage and lifted his heavy blaster pistol, unleashing a torrent of deadly crimson energy in the general direction that the rounds had come from, the bolts ripping apart the kitchen and creating little explosions that sent chunks of countertop and drywall flying everywhere and charred or melted holes in the kitchen island and the stack of dirty pots and pans sitting in the kitchen sink.
The barrage stopped with his blaster's power cell went dry, causing him to swear audibly as he reached for a spare. Sam - now covered in dust and bits of plaster from the barrage - heard the sounds, and took the oppurtunity to lean around the island and pop off a shot. The thug had been quick to reload though, and was just leveling his pistol in Sam's general direction when she popped up over the island.
They fired at the same time. Samanya's bullet raced through the air and tore into the man's right eye, creating a bloody explosion as it burst out the back of his skull. The thug's blaster bolt was nearly as true, and caught Samanya right in her right shoulder, throwing her back into the counter behind her and leaving a steaming blast mark on her armorweave bodysuit, which, luckily, absorbed the worst of the damage.
"ARGH! Dammit!" She hissed, slamming her boot into the plasteel siding of the island in a futile attempt to cope with the burning pain. While the lightly armored bodysuit had absorbed part of the damage, the blaster bolt had enough punch to burn through the armor and inflict a decent amount of damage. She'd need to get a medikit and put a bacta patch on her injury once she got back to the Crew's Hideout.
After a few seconds, she picked herself up, a scowl forming on her muzzle as she looked at the dead thug, and the wounded man wheezing and coughing up blood on the ground. She started walking towards the hallway, pausing to scoop up the dead man's heavy blaster and a couple spare power cells on her way out, in case there was more to fight.
She stepped over the dead man's body, then paused as she stood over the wounded thug. He could live, if he was taken to a hospital immediately. That was unnacceptable. She lifted the confiscated blaster pistol and shot him twice in the head, leaving a smoldering crater where his face used to be.
Samanya took just a moment more to mix the rounds from her two partially empty clips to give her one fully loaded clip, which she placed in her pistol, and then walked off, her sidearm holstered and the heavy blaster pistol held in her left hand.
She paused just after taking a step out of the doorway when she saw a man not too far off, where she saw a man standing by one of the speeders damaged in the brief fight. "You the guy who tagged those two thugs? If you are, thanks. I don't have anything to give you as a reward, but I killed the last two. Help yourself to whatever you find on their corpses, if you want." She called out, before turning sharply left, and starting to walk down the street, away from the scene of the carnage.

Shit, now there are two now. He might get one in a shot, how would one dodge a bullet?
One could not, so he'd just wait for the Cathar to be alone again. This other man would have to be out of the way before he could strike. He itched to shoot, but unless he could safely claim a corpse it would not be worth it.

There he stood, silent, now looking upward trying to find the source of his discomfort. It was times like this he'd wished he'd been given the Force as his father had, from what he understood of it he'd be able to sniff out danger like a kath hound to a nerf steak.
He gave the Cathar a nod to her question and a small wave of gratitude for the spoils, but his eyes were trained on the rooftops now, he'd found nothing upsetting at street level, and was starting to wonder if he'd gone crazy, here in the lower levels of Coruscant, did anyone truly brave the rooftops. Any roof that was there had to be centuries old as it was. He looked back down shaking his head slightly, but remained there, still unsure of what he was searching for.

Soon, Samanya broke into a light jog again as she headed back to where she first encountered Ruu, or Rudy, or whatever he called himself. She didn't really care anymore, she just wanted to go home, treat her wound, and crawl into bed and sleep for the next fifteen hours straight. While she sincerely doubted he had been honest when telling her where the air-taxi station was, she didn't have much of a choice but to hope he hadn't been lying through his teeth.
It didn't take long for her to return to the general vicinity of that lamp-post where she had met the intoxicated-looking man. She paused there, catching her breath and glimpsing at the carbon scorch surrounding the small blaster wound on her shoulder. The pain was dull but constant, a throbbing, burning reminder of her injury. She could fight through it if she had to, but hand-to-hand was definetly out of the question until she could treat it. After waiting at the lamppost for a minute, she started off towards where she hoped an air taxi could be found, blaster pistol still gripped tightly and eyes and ears on alert as her system was still flooded with adrenaline.

He followed the girl until she was away from the... other one. From the roof, he knew he would have no shot. So he'd run ahead of her and found the lift, he knew he would be down it after she had passed. He slid the door open again, this time it was quieter. It's previous use must have loosened it up.
He crouched and aimed his pistol, dead on her back. She wouldn't stand a chance, he fired, sending one bolt after her. It would be impossible to dodge, the sound would reach her just in time for her to realize what had happened. He knew this and he savored the feeling. He fired again, just in case she happened to not be dead yet. He fired lower, so it would catch her falling body.

OOC: Well this one appears to be coming to a close, so unless I find an exciting way back in this will be my last run here
IC: And as quickly as it had come on, the feeling of unease had surpassed, a quick scan of the area showed no one about, the Cathar had taken off apparently injured, but that was of no real concern to him, he'd done his good deed for the year, now it was time to go collect any prizes he could find.
With that he headed back into the complex and began searching the bodies of the dead street thugs.
The night was cold, still, calm even to most. Steam vented off of moisture condensers all across the city scape, towers soared into the heavens and cut through the very sky. To one man in particular it was never calm, Ares, sitting in a makeshift tent on a random rooftop. Watched a man he had been watching for what seemed like days. Ares was a bounty hunter, and took his work very personally. Being that he had been in the profession for an odd 30 years, he felt that every bounty was special in its own way.
The armor clad man's focus was taken of the devaronian when blaster fire could be heard in the distance, a repeating blaster by the sound of it. Ares knew his prize wouldn’t be going anywhere anytime soon, so he decided to go investigate
Traveling by rooftop, Ares took a little longer than he had hoped to get to the scene of the disturbance. He hopped down to a lower balcony to take a break, he wasn’t as young as he used to be, and running around in the middle of the night for extended periods tuckered him out somewhat. His airtight suit helped for the most part, keeping nice cool air flowing was essential. While he sat he witnessed and interesting sight, a Cathar female that he had seen while at a club with his wife was walking below him. Using his visor to zoom in on her, he saw that she was injured, and it donned on Ares that she was possibly apart of the shootings that had transpired earlier.
As he zoomed out with his visor, Ares caught a glint of a door opening farther down the way. At first he thought nothing of it, nut when he saw the shine of a blaster he sprung into action. Using he legs like springs he pushed off the balcony railing to get maximum distance in his jump. His aim was to push the Cathar out of the way, Ares knew from experience when he saw a shooting about to happen. He purposely put his cybernetic arm up to take one of the shots, letting the lower one shoot harmlessly into the permacrete ground. The bounty hunters armor sizzled and charred, but his cybernetic arm was undamaged.
Bringing his slug assault rifle up he spoke, increasing the volume on his helmets exterior speakers to make his voice booming. " Yield!" Was all Ares said. He felt the buzzing in his head from the man, meaning that the armed assailant had killed in the past. It instantly infuriated Ares, and made him want to simply gun the man down where he stood.

The crack of a blaster pistol shot echoed through the air and reached Samanya's ears. In the millisecond she had as the sound reached her ears, she fully expected to feel a miniature explosion erupt in her back as a bolt of laser energy ripped into her. She expected to scream in pain and crumple to the ground in a broken heap, or for her world to simply go black. But instead of either scenarios, she felt herself tumble to the ground, not because of the impact of a blaster bolt but because she had been pushed out of the way.
Her heavy blaster pistol went skittering across the pavement when she hit the ground, falling in a somewhat awkward manner onto her left side. She propped herself partways up on her elbow as she started to try to get back to her feet, only to freeze when a booming voice demanded for someone to yield. Looking up, she saw the armored figure of the man she had seen at the club. The husband of that Zabrak woman, if she remembered correctly.
The cathar girl's eyes traveled down his armor to the blackened limb that he had used as a shield, as she realized that he had pushed her out of the way of the blaster bolts, thus saving her life. While half of her was tempted to scramble to her feet and run for her life, another, wiser part of her brain told her she was probably safer if she hid behind the armored bounty hunter. She ended up listening to the latter part of her mind. She was wounded, low on ammo, and had brushed with death twice now. Running could only bring more trouble.
Samanya clambered to her feet, left hand gently but protectively clutching her injured right shoulder as she stood behind the armor-clad man, doing her best to keep as much of him between her and her attacker as was possible as she waited to see what her would-be murderer's response to sudden appearance of, and demands of, the bounty hunter who had come to her rescue.

"No good." He said, it was probably barely audible at the distance he was at. He raised his pistol to point directly up, a sign that he was done here. Then he slid the large metal door closed and hit the controls on the lift.
Just before reaching his spot he rocked the lift, throwing it off track. It would realign soon, but it gave him time to clamber out and into the oversize ventilation system. There he began to crawl, to crawl to his place, no windows, no walls. When he reached it, he popped off the vent cover and slid out. "Safe." He brushed himself off, back there he had seen an experienced bounty hunter... Dangerous.

It was the amplified voice that caught his attention again, why had he allowed himself compassion for this creature, it must have been because they were both off-worlders in probably the only city more wretched than the tales he'd heard from Mos Eisley, or maybe it was simply the fact that he was in a sober moment and actually gave a womp-rats about what happened to other people.
Stashing the pistols from the two thugs he'd shot earlier he took off back out the door at a steady pace, in the direction the Cathar had headed. As he reached her he found her almost cowering behind a rather large metal clad individual, that he could best assume was a man.
Now Lucius wasn't exactly the brave sort, especially in a close up battle where others had a chance to respond, but as he'd already decided in his head to assure she was ok, he opted to pull his pistol again, leveling it at the metal man, but speaking to the Cathar.
"E'erything goin ok down here?" he posed inquisitively, eying the sizzling spot in the man's forearm plate.
Ares was tempted to chase after the one who shot at the cathar, but the female didnt look like she was in any shape to be on her own. Nights on Coruscant could be as dangerous if not more than places like Nar Shaddaa. Most did not see that side of the Republic captiol planet, but Ares lived in it every day. The bounty hunter was about to turn and speak with the cathar, to ask if she was alright and if she could get to saftey on her own. Unfortunatly he was unable to, being that a new stranger had taken the place of the one that had fled.
His posture was hostile, already having a blaster pointed at Ares. Instinctivly the armored hunter brought his rifle up again, but lowered it slightly after seeing he wasnt shooting right off the bat. Ares had no want or need to kill the man, but he would if it came down to it. He remained silent, seeing that he wasnt the one being spoken to.

"Yeah, yeah we're fine." Samanya replied, as she stepped out from behind the bounty hunter and looked off at the man who had spoken to her. "This bounty hunter just saved my life. Some crazy jackass took a couple potshots at me; he pushed me out of the way and scared him off." She explained, gesturing towards the armored man with a quick nod of her head, before turning to face the Hunter, to thank him.
"Hey, uh, thanks. If you hadn't stepped in when you had, I'd have a couple smoldering holes in my spine right about now. Thank you, I owe you one." The cathar said in a grateful tone, as she managed to put a tired smile on her muzzle, before glancing back at the other man and waiting for him - or for the bounty hunter- to speak up again.

Well that eased his mind, perhaps now he could get these gallant hero notions out of his head and move on with business. He dropped his arm, but wasn't quite ready to holster the weapon.
"You made pretty short work of those last two punks in the building," he noted almost as an afterthought "must say I'm kinda surprised you needed the help at all."
He smirked as he thought about what the two modified blasters he'd found amongst the corpses would fetch him, so long as he got rid of them before some sector officer found him carrying them.
Seeing that there was no need to have it out anymore, Ares put his rifle back on the magnetic clamp on his backplate. Obviously the newcomer meant no harm, so the bounty hunter thought it time for him to make his exit.
" No problem kid, its my job. " Ares said as he turned to leave. He stopped suddenly, poniting his index finger in the air in exclamation that he forgot something. Ares fished around in one of the pouches on his belt, finally pulling out a red card with a gold insignia on it that was the Bounty Hunter's Guild symbol. It held information on where to go if someone wanted to join the guild.
Holding it in his index finger and middle finger, he handed it to the cathar. " Just incase you feel like a change in proffesion." With that Ares was off, walking rather leisurly into the dark night. He knew his wife had probably comm'd him about a thousand times, but he really didnt want to listen to all of them. Ares would just listen to her in person when he got home.

"Would've been a different story if there had been anymore than two. So thanks for taking them out." Samanya replied, before turning and listening to the bounty hunter as he said it was 'no problem'. She watched as he turned to leave, then paused and dug around for something in one of his pouches. One of her ears twitched slightly as she watched the bounty hunter produce a red-and-gold card, and hand it to her.
"Sounds interesting, I might look into this sometime." Samanya said, as she took the card and looked at the insignia, which she instantly knew represented the Bounty Hunter's Guild. But when she looked up from the card, the hunter was gone. She smiled faintly, looked at the card again, and then pocketed it. It sounded interesting, she might look into it.
The cathar then turned back to the man who had first helped her, and gave him a bit of a smile as she said, "Thanks again. I'm off to the air taxi station to get out of here, and to have this wound looked at. Maybe I'll see you again sometime in the future." And with that, Samanya turned and left, disappearing into the darkness and leaving the man alone.

IC: Lucius, nodded to Cathar, turning back towards his own apartment he lit a fresh cigara and puffed upon it as he walked down the darkened alley.
"Interesting night, hopefully that's the worst I have here." he thought to himself.
And he faded into the night, the embers of his cigara the last thing to be seen as he cleared the light of the nearby streetlamp.
