Someone once told me that only in a moment of unbearable agony can one truly see himself for who he is. Only in that moment can one look within his own mind and his own life from the perspective of an all-knowing and impartial being.
That someone told me that such a moment of clairvoyance is something precious, something few people are ever fortunate enough to experience.
That man was clearly insane.
My pain, my agony, was the loss of my twin sister, Samanya. Her kidnapping shattered all my hopes and dreams, and left me to pick up the pieces of my broken life. I did not see a glimpse into my own mind. All I saw, all I felt, was the blinding fear and hurt, followed by a terrifying wave of unbridled hatred towards the men who had taken my sister.
There was no epiphany, no insights, no clairvoyance. Only the pain. The terrible, crippling pain.
That suffering was not mine alone, though. I saw my father’s tears, heard my mother’s weeping. But my family was not the only one that had been broken by the greedy machinations of foul men. Others had lost their loved ones to the slavers as well. The moment I realized that, I knew, I had to do something. I couldn’t let anyone else be devastated the same way I was.
I set out from my homeworld of Balmorra, leaving the familiar embrace of that world, and traveled to Coruscant. I knew what I had to do, and that was seek out the Jedi Order. Only there could I find the direction and purpose I needed to bring light to a Galaxy darkened by the hopelessness of war and the greed of the wicked.
I will become a Jedi, I will join the ranks of the most noble order of Guardians in the universe. And then… Then I will ensure that no-one else ever had to suffer the same pain I endured, the same pain I still endure.

In the face of potential Conflict with the Dark Jedi of the Bogan, Jamall saw fit to dip into his lifelong savings and trust fund to purchase a heavily customized suit of armor tailored to his Cathar physiology and, more importantly, to battle with other Jedi... Namely, Dark Jedi. While its construction drained the bulk of his savings, its construction is nothing less than exemplary.
Constructed of two armored bodysuits with a hard armor 'shell', it affords decent protection while providing maximum possible agility. The base layer bodysuit is vacuum-sealed and has a 'collar' around the neck, to which the helmet docks to provide a completely airtight suit. It is lightly reinforced with impact-absorbing composite plates to provide some protection against kinetic attack.
The second layer is made of Armorweave tightly woven into strands that, at a glance, appear to mimic the musculature of a living being. This layer provides some protection against blasters and slugthrowers, as well as allows protection from a glancing lightsaber strike. [Anything more than a split-second's contact will burn through it with ease, however.]
Finally, Ultrachrome Plating partially covers the Armorweave bodyshell. As one of the few metals resistant to lightsabers, this affords the armor tremendous protection against the energy swords, as well as providing significant protection against most ranged weapons. The only part of the hard armor plating that is not Ultrachrome are the forearm guards and the lower leg guards; both are reinforced plasteel -granting them light weight- plated with pure cortosis. While pure cortosis is somewhat brittle and very expensive, it can instantly disable a lightsaber; an excellent 'hidden weapon' for the feline to bring into play.
However, this 'hidden weapon' is a double-edged sword; should a blaster bolt or physical blade strike the cortosis plating, it'd likely destroy it instantly, and plasteel isn't terribly effective as an armor. The armor's final, most glaring weakness is that its Ultrachrome Plating does not cover several critical weak points. While it does protect his chest, shoulders, upper back, and other regions, it affords no protection to his lower back or his sides, nor does it protect the spaces to the side of the 'ridge' of armor that runs down the front of his torso. His thighs are not protected either; while he could add armor if he wanted, doing so slows mobility too much.
-Purple-Bladed Lightsaber-
A Purple-bladed saber Jamall constructed under the tutelage of his first master, the weapon is Jamall's second-best weapon after his mind. Equipped with adjustment levers for the blade's length and width, as well as a pressure-keyed ignition switch, he can adjust its length and focus with a simple flick of his fingers, giving him a tactical edge in saber combat.
