I might be interested, if it has nothing to do with anime ninjas.

You have something against anime ninjas... I just put the traditional genin-chuunin-jounin ladder and you immediately thought of them.

Me, it all depends on how it works.

I'd rather be a supersoldier with awseome armor though. If you know what I mean.

Well, what I've been thinking is set apart from any of the books. Aslan can still be there since he was there from the beginning of time, and I was kinda hoping an early war or something, though its completely up for discussion.

of course, no humans, but like the witch appears human, you can have things like that. Pretty much, I wanna take all of my knowledge of Mythology and throw it into the Narnia world.

Are you guys following?

What time in Narnia would this take place as there are different periods in its history? Depending on when, I would be the Calormenes if they exist in this RP

Dark Angel
05-15-2008, 04:01 AM
I'm going before the Magicians Apprentice.
Though, its kinda a fanon rp, as you can be whatever (but not human). We can construct what the setting is like, and any creature that is in either Greek, Norse, Celtic mythology or folklore can be used.

Just no humans. Of course, right now its just an idea that can be refined, etc.

How is it possible to do a Narnia RP before the Magician's Apprentice if Narnia didn't exist before The Magician's Apprentice?

Dark Angel
05-15-2008, 04:13 AM
Yea it did, they just entered it first in the Magicians Apprentice I thought.

and besides, like I said, its mainly a fanon rp.

They entered about the exact time when Narnia was born.

Humans don't exist in Narnia... As a general rule, anyway. Don't know the whole Caspian business.

Caspian came from another country, in which there are people that look and act like humans. Not sure if they are actually called "humans," though.

Seems the Telmarines are human. I personally wouldn't include them, however.

Character concept:

Elgar, the Ice Phoenix

Once a proud and noble creature, but corrupted by the evil magics wielded by the White Witch, Elgar now performs as a powerful captain of her forces. Exuding an aura of cold and dread wherever he passes, the cunning Elgar becomes a truly devestating presence when he chooses to ignite into a bird of freezing flames - an Ice Phoenix. When ignited, even passing over the landscape causes it to flash-freeze, extending the power of the Ice Queen with swift and deadly retribution. Elgar is also capable of speech, and even able to take on the appearance of something near human, empowered as he is by the great powers of his master. However, it is in this form Elgar is the most vulnerable, and so it is used in situations of complete certainty of safety, or as a display of arrogance.

Comments on this? I figured most would want to play as the 'good guys', so this sorts out at least one baddie for you all to contend with.

Samuikion

I am leaning towards creating an evil character too. I'm a little shaky about deciding on a pro-Narnian creature. Centaurs appeal to me the most, but they are vulnerable from behind. You all probably would figure out by now that I willingly allow my characters to get injured/unconscious/screwed.

The ice phoenix holds a level of inspiration there, but I still cannot figure out what I want to use.

Useful to a certain extent. They separate them alphabetically as a whole, instead of categorizing them via alliances before alphabetizing. None of the ones listed caught my interest.

If you're aiming for evil, look at typical foresty winterscape creatures. Owls, wolves or bears could work. Maybe a white stag?

Green Ranger
05-17-2008, 03:14 PM
Well, character-wise you'd probably be proud, headstrong and agressive, but at the same time be aware of when and where to run away. You'd have good hearing, a great understanding of forests, and you'd definately be the leadership sort, imo. A nice clash of egos between you and Elgar, I would imagine.

Hm, sounds a bit interesting, if only because the other RPs I'm in are rotting. So, this is going to be set before Magician's Nephew and LWW? If so, it had better be quite a few years before LWW, or else we'll have people coming in and wanting movie cameos. If this is so, This'll be mine...

Telliar (for you blind people, he's a black flying horse)

Telliar is a young, impetuous firebrand ready to jump into anything and everything as long as it's an attempt at fighting evil - or appears to be. Often hyperactive and constantly sticking his hoof in his mouth, this Fledger (sometimes just called a Winged Horse) is eternally loyal, eager to please, and always ready to fight, even allowing himself to be ridden when not in battle if the need arises. Thought foolish in his youth and impatient, being a horse he is incredibly obedient. However, Telliar, being of a horsey nature, is easily spooked and excited. He is the quickest of the Fledgers in the air, and one of the fastest on land.

...

Yeah, I thought I'd break away from the dignity normally present in my chars.

Character Concept

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f212/white_stag/whitestag3.gif

Hirsh the white stag has a strong sense of justice, believing that the world needs to take the path in which the fewest people will be killed. For this reason, he follows the Witch. Although he is not the most charismatic stag around, he says what is necessary to advance the goal of creating a peaceful world. His knowledge of the woodland regions of Narnia would prove to make Hirsh a valuable asset to the campaign of the Witch.

Brunor Strongstone is vehemently against the White Witch and all of her followers. He is the head of his clan, the Battle Axes, and after his family was killed by them he led his clan to war against the Witch. A skilled fighter and courageous and stalwary ally Brunor is an asset to whomever he fights with. His dwarven crafted armor and large double bladed axe are finely made, a prime example of dwarven craftsmanship.

Myyra is many things. She is feared, respected, and hated by many creatures of Narnia, though her powerful standing among the armies of the White Witch is one of the testaments to her power. Half succubus and half jinn, Myyra is similar in appearance to a Charn. While highly skilled with a blade and a talented archer, Myyra's most powerful asset is her mastery of the Black Arts. Often considered more ruthless than the Queen herself, the Black Witch is a head general and Jadis's personal assassin and liaison. Answering to the Queen, and only the Queen, Myyra is surprisingly loyal to her mistress. Deadly, cunning, and charismatic, she is a powerful ally and more than formidable foe.

Seems the Witch is going to be something of an NPC...

Dark Angel
05-19-2008, 09:10 PM
Yea, I think her and Aslan should be. Unless someone does step up and rp Aslan, in which case (no pun intended) I'd probably wanna rp Jadis.

Though still, I think they should be npcs.

Samuikion
05-19-2008, 09:14 PM
On that note, yeah. Paves way for moddage.

Dark Angel

Dark Angel
05-19-2008, 09:27 PM
Woo!

*grabs lavi's boobalage* hahaha!

nah, I'm playin. I know you're a guy.

Anywho, in the rp, I'm making it mainly fanon as far as storyline and stuff goes, since technically it can't take place before the MA. So...

Instead of narnia being created around the time of the MA, I say it was created a thousand years prior. That gives us a nice big gap of time to play in.

Samuikion
05-19-2008, 09:34 PM
I suppose so. Technology does not really change throughout the life of Narnia, right?

Dark Angel
05-19-2008, 09:37 PM
No, not really. I suppose thats due to the presence of Magic, as it pwns technology.

Though, unlike LWW, I don't want Jadis to be the ruler yet. I want her to have power and have a kingdom, but it to still be growing. That way, there can be a war.

Samuikion
05-19-2008, 09:39 PM
Or you have some other witch who tried to take over Narnia.

But I think the other people involved in the rp should vote on whats going on in this new timeline.

CURSES!!

Why must Jesus always die!? Fear not though. I shall return in three days... Just like Gandalf... And Jesus.

Idea when this is starting?

Dark Angel
05-21-2008, 09:06 PM
Well, we have enough people, but I was gonna wait on all the people who joined to discuss what they would like to be happening in the timeline.

I say that the White Witch should be campaining pretty much, as in her kingdome is relatively new and she's trying to take over Narnia. In the second one, she already owns the place. This'll be like her first conquest, with a good army to fight against her.

Niner

what about a griffin like this?

http://altreligion.about.com/library/graphics/griffin2.jpg

I'll actually just stick with the dwarf. Someone else can be this griffin though. I will also volenteer to be a commander of the good army, after all my dwarf is a king.
